[ So.... I'm quite sure this is NOT what you wanted (and I changed the wording a little), but this the kind of messed up things my brain is making me write today. Deeply disturbed Red. ]

“If you’re expecting sweet, gentle, vanilla lovemaking, you should go back to Donald.”

“I don’t want Ressler, I want you.”

“Trust me, you don’t.” He wraps a hand around her neck. “I like rough, depraved sex, Elizabeth. It’s in my nature to be rough and take what I want with no regard for anybody else's needs.”

She stares back him with a steely gaze.

“I like rough sex.”

He chuckles despite the severity of the point he's trying to convey.

“What I do is so far from the ‘rough sex’ you’re thinking of.”

He takes a step closer as his fingers close around her neck, just enough to cut off her air supply for a few seconds to prove a point before releasing his grip a little.

“This is only a taste of what gets me off. I like the power and control. I like having someone completely at my mercy, doing whatever I see fit to them that gives me the maximum pleasure. I like inflicting pain. I like pushing the limits. I am a very twisted man with an even more twisted sexual appetite. You don’t want to be a part of that.”

“I don’t believe you. I think you’re just trying to scare me off.”

He licks his lips. He wishes that were true. Wishes he were lying.

“I need to cause pain to quench my own desires.”

“Maybe I want you to hurt me.”

“No,” he grows, desperately trying to make her understand just how much she doesn't want that. “I lose control of myself. The kind of pain I inflict is not the kind you would enjoy.”

She swallows hard, but doesn't have a response.

“God, Elizabeth, the sick things I would do to you in service of my own selfish needs. I wouldn’t stop until I was satisfied and you were destroyed. I would use you and abuse you just for the fun of it. I care about you too much to ever put myself in that position with you. If we ever started, I wouldn’t be able to control myself.”

“Red...”

“No one should ever be subjected to the things I do.”

“But you have needs. You’ve not a man who denies himself.”

“No, and that’s the problem. I indulge in all my dark fantasies. I can’t control my impulses, only quench them, and it would be worse with you.”

“You don’t have to be that way with me.”

“It’s not that simple. I don’t chose when to turn it off. I can’t turn it off.”

“Never? Not even once? For me?”

“No. I will never fuck you, Elizabeth. I’m not a capable of the restraint needed. Neither of us would survive it.”

He finally removes his hand from her neck.
