Last time I left Troy unsupervised his truck got flipped into a ditch and he lost a fight with a fucking tree AND THEN Dwight, Frank and Sherry: ... Russell: He tripped into a goddamn trap. just saw the dead city trailer and ran here. What do you think about the time jump there with older Hershel playing into everyone reuniting with the CRM? Ready for your FTWD analysis too. also just realized FTWD will probably coincide with dead city. Going into the new phase with low expectations and hopefully a good outcome🤞🏻
Yeah, I saw them. Super exciting! The thing is, I don't think Hershel will actually be significantly older. I seem to remember them talking about a very small time jump, like maybe a few months, but I don't think it will be more than that. The actor who plays Hershel does look older, but that's just because kids age so quickly on film. It's been 2 years since this young man first portrayed Hershel, so of course he'll look older. That doesn't mean he is in the show.
Cailey Fleming, who plays Judith on the show, is kind of an exception here. She's a 14-year-old who still looks like she's ten, lol. But that's not true of most kids. So, I wouldn't worry overly much about there being a time jump.
As for other observations about the two new trailers, here is what I sent my fellow theorists:
@twdmusicboxmystery:
A few things that immediately jumped out at me.
Maggie says someone is “the key” to getting Hershel back. We’re meant to believe she’s talking to Negan, and she may be. But we know they can sometimes splice together trailers in a way that can be misleading. But this is a theme we saw heavily in S4 and S5, including around Grady.
The storyline they lay out for Fear, brief tho it may be, feels like a template for the CRM. People raising an army to challenge a larger organization.
June looks exactly like Leah in this picture:
Tumblr media
Any insight into who the guy in the wanted poster is? It COULD be Rick. Doesn’t look like him in particular, but closer to him than to Beth, lol.
Tumblr media
I got IMDb to try and confirm weather or not they’re using the same actor for Hershel. I think they are, but none of the spin-offs are listed anywhere on IMDb yet. Not Dead City and not Daryl Dixon. Which is a little strange since fans can edit the pages. It’s odd that no one has added them.
I almost feel like maybe they’re purposefully being kept off the pages for now. Though I don’t know why they would do that.
@galadrieljones:
That is weird about IMDb. I agree it makes it seem like they don’t want the info out there. It’s strange like the spin offs still don’t seem real? Esp the Daryl one.
@wdway:
You asked who we thought was in the wanted poster. I think it is Negan.
I've been thinking about some of the scenes that we've seen in the past seasons that implied that Negan might know something about the CRM but maybe not realize that's who it is and I think that Negan might be smart enough not to question certain things to closely.
Tumblr media
When Jadis held him at the junkyard she called the CRM helicopter which he saw. Nothing was ever explained about how he just totally ignored that. At the satellite station they had a room where they were growing pot I wonder if he was growing pot to sell to some group connected to the CMR in exchange for other medical supplies like insulin that we saw with Tina, Sherry and Dwight had stolen when they left the sanctuary.
In Here's Negan there was a lot of open questions about the cancer medicine he got from the doctor in the RV. It just seem to me there are a lot of questions that were put out and then skipped over.
@twdmusicboxmystery:
Great points! I hadn't thought of that. 👍
So, these are our initial thoughts about the two trailers. What does everyone else think?

Sort of random review for ftwd s8 ep 6 (spoilers ahead)
Things that made me ugly cry:
- "i will leave this message every morning at down" the parallel i swear
- "I need you to look after Grace for me"
I mean just the fact that he buried Grace near Eastman.. 💔
- the whole speech to Eastman, how much he's grateful for him, the little smile he gave his grave while Mo was training with the stick, like "see how good she is?"
"They are people that means as much to me as you all do", i m so happy he said that 💚
And the worst: "need to make sure they are ok"
Well, well.. 😭
and then you see the people he lost in a flashback montage, AND IT INCLUDED BENJAMIN😭
Yet he doesnt even know abt Henry😭
Finch dying, i f....king hate it. He was such an angel.
Dwight and Sherry over, "maybe we're just not meant to be together", "maybe us failing has nothing to do with bad guys like Negan" he says, its awful, it hurts, i mean he did everything to find her, and then they dont work out. F... off, really, im mad. I get that Finch dying didnt help (fucking understatement), but this is a guy who fought so much for her and now he's giving up and well, its been more than 8 years plus the time spent together before the apocalypse so yeah its unfortunately realistic or at least it can be. Love doesnt always last. What hurts is that you know they still love each other. But love isnt always enough. They tried. More than once. But it hurts. Really hurts. Just like real life...
Ok, so abt Lennie interview, i guess i fell for a trap. I used to say i dont listen what actors say good or bad, and here i was falling for this trap: now, which trap: interview trap or "teasing that will never led to somewhere trap", i guess we will see
Madison taking over Padre, hell yeah. Can u imagine that 2 seasons ago she was supposed to be dead?
Is it Troy, is it Alicia's arm?
Now, we saw with Madison (and Troy?) that everything's possible so... im sure Alicia's alive. Hope they reunite.
And Strand...
One last thing: farewell Morgan, i will always love you, but you better come back on my screen and reunite with Rick and everyone, and the sooner the better
Edit: and or course... when he says abt Rick and him that it wouldnt be the first time they find their way back to each other... 😭

TWD ep 5 / 6 spec and filming spoilers //....rant. Good thing s9 is AU imo.
-this is more of spoiler/spec. post
*if you’re curious of my thoughts or whatever on TWD... go to my blog /tagged/*twd  ...I rant so much. whatever. ok.
-how Rick dies is like FTWD, I’m guessing. Based on one of those articles, Kang mentioned there’s play of time. It made me think of FTWD with how they did the death of Nick and Madison. So, maybe Rick dies before Maggie timeline-wise. I also wondered if in 9x01, fans will learn that Rick will die and we see how he dies in s9A. hmm I doubt it. I just think there’s a lot of parallels with TWD and FTWD killing their main characters. I also think maybe ...there’s mulitple time jumps. Like 9x01 is one year..and then time goes by fast and then ep 5 or 6, is another time jump of when Rick dies.
----I really wanna know why 6 episodes for AL and LC. Weird amount of episodes. First half is 8 episodes. Unless writers want to have 2 episodes of something else in the first half. Or.. both wanna do the same deal..and one of them gotta leave certain time because of a different project, maybe.
- I also don’t know for sure what the writers will do with Maggie. Like is LC really done with TWD or on a break? Well, I’m gonna assume Rick and Maggie will die. I don’t think LC would want to come back to TWD if the money thing goes to NR. I’m gonna assume Rick dies because blah writers.
----Looking at the script spoiler. I’m starting to like..doubt it? I mean I don’t think the spoiler is actually confirming Rick dies. So it’s just a rumor that Rick dies as others watch him in the middle of herd. The script could be some scene to something else. So, I don’t know for sure Rick dies in s9 or not. I hope he lives and goes missing (or Grimes go on a boat). But I doubt that. :\ I wish I know for sure ..now. But I’m assuming he dies anyways. ~wait and see.
-So since Rick dies around ep 5 or 6. I wonder what the msf will be like or s9B. I’m not so sure yet on the heads on pikes scene. Maybe they remix it. Maybe be like they show each character how they die from Alpha. Maybe none at all or happens in season finale. But yeah like what’s the conflict in s9A and B. So, I don’t think they’re gonna do the communities’ leaders die idea. Because we got spoilers of only Rick dying. But like Zeke could still die in msf like his comic death. I also kinda speculate that maybe TWD writers are filming and editing it different. Like maybe they film the the heads on pikes scene last but film Rick dying and saving Team family from the herd that Whisperers/Alpha sent out..or remix. Idk It may not be that because that’s like really rushing this whisperers arc. Anyways, just wait and see what s9B will be like.
-Oh Henry..wtf. So Macsen got braces and idk what it could mean for Henry in TWD if he can’t have braces there. Henry’s dead? Henry won’t talk much? Henry is missing (like Elodie and will be found in Commonwealth)? So if Henry’s dead then..what’s the point for Carol’s arc. omg. I guess I’m one of the few Carol fans, that think it’s really sucky if Carol lost Henry. I think ..it’s gonna always be Carol and Henry in the show. I think they’re gonna be like comic-Michonne and Elodie, imo.
Maybe he won’t have braces that long. ......Maybe Macsen isn’t in s9/TWD anymore because of the time-jump. :B
Tumblr media
- eh Skybound...
Will King Ezekiel get a bigger role than what he does in the comics at this point or more back story?  Please no hinting at the comic stuff we do know.  We have enough people on death watch. -Zombie Madam
King Ezekiel will chart a different path than his comic counterpart in Season 9. That’s not to say the show version will be completely different, but you will be in for some surprises.
I’m not sure what the answer means. But a lot of Zeke/C&E fans think he will live past the comic-death moment. Eh...then I don’t know how to speculate s9 and well Idk what Carol will do or be like. :\ But again it’s like wait and see for sure if Zeke lives on or not.
-no Dwight in s9A. ..I hope he is in s9B. I like this character. I kinda think he might be Beta some day. Anyways, in s8 finale, he got a good ending to his story. Idk why he’s banished but Eugene gets no punishment or so.
- https://twdzone.com/threads/%E2%80%99s-death-scene.3874/#post-41200 < the script rumor/spoiler. Major and sad spoilers!
-June 29th, Lincoln left Georgia to NY. :[  Seems like he’s done with TWD. His beard is short. Fans speculate that cast are on holiday vacation and he can grow his beard long again in short time. Also ep 6 isn’t done filming(?). But I think he’s done-done. (I wonder why he gotta leave so quick.) I hope he appears in comic-con and yeah whole cast there and them being all cute. sigh.../I wish AMC lets everyone knows that he’s leaving the show.
----(repeating my spec. again :P)
what I noticed some cast members got hair changes too. Like Maggie, Enid, Cyndie(Oceanside), Rick-AL. I’m thinking there’s another time jump or these characters are dead too. (Enid maybe be in background.) Cyndie- actress is gonna be on another show. Idk much but I think she’s done with TWD too. So there’s that theory again with Communities’ leaders dying from Alphia/ heads on pikes. It’s like an easy way ..for writers to do. A lot of parallels..with leaders leaving the show. But I think Rick dies alone. So..I like that. I want Rick to have his own focus on the show. Idk I still hate all this. Rick :( Also, it could be Rick dies in ep 5/6 and then msf, other communities’ leaders die. Because what is s9′s conflict?...I like this theory I have and others thought of it too, they introduce whisperers and Alpha early in s9 so then Negan isn’t seen as the worst villain of the show and show his redemption. It makes sense storywise..based from the comics. I guess. This show is going so different from comics.

The Walking Dead Is No Match for Its Eagle-eyed Fans
If you have a couple of hours and a few brain cells to kill, I highly recommend going spelunking in the deep well of online commentary on The Walking Dead. From fan fiction to nitpicking the set to challenging plausibility to porn, there’s quite literally everything to sate a curious (Walking) Dead-head.
There’s even one fan theory that is “an idea from a Batman theory mixed with Shutter Island.” It explains that, ultimately, Rick is actually in a mental hospital, with Laurie, Michonne and Andrea as nurses, the Governor and Negan as doctors, Shane as the general practitioner who committed Rick for kidnapping two children, Judith and Carl, and the whole rest of the cast rotating as fellow patients. Why a fan theory would ignore the entire concept of the apocalypse that’s garnered the show cult status is a mystery. Also, forget Batman — that happened in Season 6, Episode 17 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Regardless, here’s a cherry-picked selection from the World Wide Web of geeking out on The Walking Dead. Enjoy at your own risk of never watching the show the same way again.
Let’s talk about the blood
OK, this one is something that has personally bothered me, and I’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to bitch about it. So, there was an iconic moment in Season 1 — perhaps one of the moments that solidified the show’s status as serious as fuq — when Glenn and Rick throw on some tarps and slather themselves in zombie goo, hands and organs so that they can walk among the dead undetected. Luckily, they pull off their smelly scheme in a nerve-wracking scene, and a new defense tactic in the Walking Dead universe was born.
So, it makes sense that in the very successful spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead (which centers on a different group in California at the start of the outbreak but operates within the same confines of TWD), they use the same strategy to walk among the dead. What bothers me is that they go from rubbing on a pretty disturbing amount of blood and guts to just a couple of hand smears on a shirt. This seems to be because the character always trying to go on a zombie jog in FTWD is pretty boy Nick, and it makes sense that the showrunners don’t want his adventurous ass always looking like Swamp Thing. But it just takes you out of it, in my opinion, that we’ve gone from Rick and Glenn wearing the the contents of two adult humans to Nick just sporting a little zombie blush.
Can zombies stop and smell the roses?
Which leads us to the next point fans pointed out online: What’s this nonsense about the walkers somehow being able to smell? We’ve seen all manner of deformed, decaying walkers, from solitary heads still gnawing on the ground to zombies missing parts of their faces, like the pet zombies Michonne kept as protection when we first met her in Season 3. The zombies are not supposed to be sentient, and they clearly don’t have any feeling, so why is their sense of smell so keen that they can sniff out their prey, differentiating between live humans and fellow zombies by scent?
This also helpfully leads us to another great crowd-sourced point: The zombies have gotten dumber as we’ve gone on. This could have a legitimate explanation, which is that at this point, the remaining zombies have been rotting for a long time, making them slower and dumber. But it’s still worth noting that in the first episode, the little zombie girl that Rick sees not only picks up her dropped teddy bear — suggesting far more motor skills and a kind of consciousness that we don’t get from present day TWD zombies (or even FTWD zombies, for that matter) — but also starts to run at Rick, which is a far cry from the post-drug-and-alcohol bender kind of stumble we see the zombies do now.
youtube
Fans also pointed out that throughout the gang’s time in Atlanta, zombies could throw things to break glass and climb fences. A possible explanation is that the producers didn’t have a complete idea of how every aspect of the show would operate yet, which plenty of shows do (for example, Carrie talks to the camera in Season 1 of Sex and the City but she stops doing it by midseason, showing that they quickly realized this was silly AF). It probably became clear that Rick et al. would have had a rough time surviving this long against those wily Season 1 zombies.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Let’s get nitpicky
My favorite kinds of TWD fan comments comb the show for aesthetic deviations from the narrative. For example, people were really pissed that the prison lawn was mowed in Season 3.
Honestly, this one is fair. When our ragtag gang stumbled onto the prison, it had been months since the walkers took over the world, and everyone is just trying to find a turtle to cook or a gun to shoot. They’re definitely not finding the time or gas to hop on a John Deere for a joyride. Internet sleuths actually found out that the show pays its location’s owners to go without lawn upkeep for three weeks prior to shooting. Clearly, someone dropped the ball on this one.
More: Bring It, Negan! The Walking Dead May Have Just Revealed Its Secret Weapon
The Herbie the Love Bug of TWD
I also can’t help but giggle at the magic Hyundai Tucson fans noticed in Season 2 (which some fans and critics started referencing as a character). The vehicle model was from 2012, but in the show’s timeline, it’s supposed to be 2010. This is clearly an ad placement that was a production oversight — or maybe the showrunners were severely underestimating their fans back in Season 2.
What about this most recent season?
Boy, have fans stayed the course in their obsessive hunt for mistakes and plot holes. Since the 2017 premiere of the second half of Season 7, fans have already pointed out two huge errors that can’t be unseen.
In “Rock in the Road,” as Rick and his Alexandria angels dejectedly exit the Hilltop’s mansion only to be met by Hilltop residents wanting to join their fight, the camera pans over our heroes standing on what is supposed to be a southern plantation’s porch, with the front door wide open. The careful eye will notice that the mansion is no Georgia gem after all — there’s a paper mural faking an interior.
http://i.imgur.com/JY8Fkzs.mp4
But worse of all, in the very next episode, “New Best Friends,” fans spotted a plane in the background as Rick stares out from a trash mountain over the world’s wasteland — clearly, no place that planes are flying around anymore.
The paper background is kind of funny, but the plane is kind of sad because it could have easily been edited out. But who knows — maybe the showrunners were actually hinting at a new crew of NASA engineers who survived and are going to save the day in Season 8 by sending everyone up to Mars! Maybe every plot hole and misstep is leading up to some grand plot twist we can’t even imagine! I’m just waiting for someone to explain whether or not Dwight/Negan’s wife’s name is Sherry or Honey, because they use both.
Also, props to Eugene for this epic gag in last Sunday’s episode. He’s chomping on a pickle while he apologizes to Dwight for biting his crotch last season. Well played, D, well played.

Serena Otto Headcanons Pt. 2
Tumblr media
Being a mother tames Serena a little bit, she isn’t as impulsive once Tracy is born, because if something happens she usually chooses to hang back with the baby and let Troy handle things. Although she is still just as violent especially in defense of her family.
Hasn't spent more than a day away from Tracy since she was born. When she goes on runs she makes sure she isn't away for more than a day.
Freaked out the first time she felt Tracy kick. Yelled for Troy in excitement and panic and he came running into the room ready to fight something and Serena was just sitting in a chair like: “ITS KICKING!!” And grabbed his hand and pressed it to her belly.
Called the baby ‘it’ till it was born cause they couldn’t tell if it was a boy or a girl. If it was a boy they were gonna name it Nick.
Tracy took her first steps walking to Troy. Serena and Tracy were on the floor playing and Troy was in the other room talking with his group. Tracy started crawling towards the doorway and stood up using the wall, and started walking towards Troy.
Serena talks to herself when she is nervous or stressed, and she just starts talking to the baby once she found out she was pregnant.
Works very hard to shield Tracy from the horrors of the world and from the dead. Tries to not let her see too much.
Sings Tracy lullabies her mother used to sing to her when she was little.
Brushes and braids Tracy’s hair for her. Teaches Troy how to braid Tracy's hair. Serena also plays with Troy's hair when she is nervous, or they are just idly laying in bed and he is having a hard time sleeping.
Can be possessive of Tracy in a sense that if someone, specifically someone Serena doesn’t like tries to parent Tracy, she’s gonna get mad (cough-madison clark-cough)
Always looks for books, stuffies, or toys for Tracy while on runs
If you threaten her family, you’re gonna die. Serena ain’t pulling any punches.
There are only a select few people Serena would ever leave Tracy with. (Troy of course, Russell, Dwight, Sherry)
Has a little book where she keeps track of all of Tracy’s milestones as a kid.
Has a few Polaroid pictures of Tracy as a baby
Freaked out about being a mom the entire pregnancy, she gave up on that dream a long time ago.
Craves pears her entire pregnancy
The only things she has left of her family are her parents' wedding rings which she wears on a chain.
Serena often feels guilty and wrong about how she feels about the apocalypse. She knows many people view the end of the world as ruining their lives. But she doesn't feel that way. Her life was already a mess before the apocalypse. Yes it cost her, her parents, her sister, and she wished could undo what happened to them. But she wouldn’t choose to remove Troy from her life and the fall of the world was how she met him.
