😳a piece that turned out better than I was expecting:

oh a hard question. somehow a lot of the answers turn out to be Hellknight related - I think I didn't expect this piece with Dream screaming to turn out as well as it did. I doubted I could pull off the partially see-through effect on his helmet to show his anguished face but it turned out pretty good imo :3

❗️a particularly ambitious piece:

I really gave my all to this illustration for @landwriter's Big Bang fanfiction, The Many Lives of Hob Gadling I even drew the frame ornament on this one myself (for the second picture I used some floral brushes) so this was quite ambitious of me :) still proud of it!

i really loved mallorca, spain, so i think i'm gonna have to say that. an honourable mention to granada and seville though because those two places also slapped. also, cordoba has really cute cats so i would also highly recommend!

#14: a few fics you think are underrated and deserve more love

this one is hard only because there are so many. this place can be really lopsided with where all of the attention goes.

@deadboyfriendd is out of this world talented and I recommend everything, but for sure Stains in the Granite is a favorite

everything @dr-aculaaa does should have thousands of notes, I love the way they write Steve sm, but I also think about their older Eddie fic Mangoes, Menudo, and Mending on a regular basis.

Exile in Guyville by @chestylarouxx is such an immersive 90's fic and Eddie is so goddamn hot in it. They never miss either, with their writing, it's all fantastic.

hmmm for blogs I'm going to say @storiesbyrhi and @myosotisa because they know their shit, but are also very inclusive, and welcoming. Rhi was one of the first ones to curl me into her cleave(r) when I started my page.

also, @mmunson86and @tomtomslongdong reblog commentary is as in depth as it gets, and a new person could find some favorites on their pages.

14. Favorite book you read this year?

I visited a place to put out feelers for whether I might like to start a new job and life there. It ended up being a disappointment, but the upside is that I stayed in an Air-BnB rented out by a guy who had done some production work for Tommy Bolin & the James Gang, and his whole house was completely decked out in music memorabilia. On the bookshelf was this, and I felt like, no matter what, no matter where I would end up, I was never truly alone.

22. Favorite place you visited this year?

I'd been meaning to visit Bend, Oregon for a long time. When it was a stop on Neil's 2023 Coastal solo tour, I finally had the excuse. I spent a whole week there, passing time waiting for him by exploring national parks, rivers, caves and forests, writing songs, running the beautiful trails, and enjoying the Pacific Northwest culture. I think it may be the most naturally beautiful place I've ever seen, and I hope life may bring me another very good reason to get back there someday.

12. longest fic you read this year

The Whole of Us (is greater than the sum of our broken pieces) is an absolutely ADORABLE AU where Ford is the biological father of Dipper and Mabel but he didn't know about them until they were left at his doorstep by their abusive mom. It is a whopping 144,688 words. I still can't believe I made it through it. 100/10 would recommend.

17. WIP you hope gets updated next year

I think the tazer fic and midnight's call from you are some that I hope you update next year. no pressure tho, I just love them a lot.

29. fandom “first” you accomplished this year

Maybe my decision to write my blind Ford and journal Ford aus as wips instead of forcing myself to write them all at once like I used to? I think it has seriously made writing them feel less like a thing I rush and more of something I can take my time with. which is good since I had a bad habit of rushing previous fics' plots.

I guess that would be the Hellknight comic pages! I drew them digitally but tried to make them look like traditional pencil and ink work. it was a great discovery and I love this style so much! 🥰

What a hard thing to choose! I could probably point to one such detail on every picture I've drawn! I think I'd choose dragon!Dream's cock and pearly pre-cum LOLOL but that's nsfw so you can head here to look at it, and I'll give you another one! I think I'm a bit in love with Hob's eyeteeth and his eye in this one ^^

16. what food did you try for the first time?

i answered that one here.

20. did you develop a new obsession?

it's me. yes. of course i did. firstly. oodies. i started writing for TGM and I re-watched the movie like 30992840983 times. I started a fragrance journey with @celeritas2997 and we both got sucked in DEEP (spent so much money on perfume this year it's atrocious). because obsessed with a pole move called the 'texas tornado', fell out of love with it, fell in love with it again. MINI APPLE CRUMBLES. too many obsessions to count!

42. what are you proud of accomplishing?

i'm not proud of much this year, but i am proud of posting ALTA even though i hated it at times. i'm proud of writing 3 fics with deadlines (cursed is a state of mind, double, double, acting trouble and fifty first dates) and i'm proud of competing even though i hate people looking at me all at once.

most of all i'm proud of digging myself out of the deep dark hole and rejoining society. it took a lot of time and therapy but i'm hereeeeeee ���

My most popular fic this year took me by surprise it was IRL Part 1 (Javi Gutiérrez x plus size!f!Reader)

What was your most memorable comment/review?

I hold comments so close to my heart, and so many are just a delight! One of my most memorable comments this year came from @jessthebaker on Seven Tears part 7

I found and read this whole series in the last couple of days, and my heart is so happy 💚💚. It belongs on my bookshelf next to the big fat volumes of Celtic Myths and Tales of Faerie. Thank you for persisting with it!

what is your favorite headcanon from this year?

stumped on my own ask because there have been so many, but a recent one that tickled me was from @br0ck-eddie and it had to do with Eddie and Steve having an ugly Christmas sweater competition every year and it made me giggle.

wow, can't believe I did this to myself. really had to think about this.

ok so right now @jo-harrington's Store Manager Verse is one of those because it's so comforting and silly, and it brings back memories of when I was a mall rat/store manager in the early 2000's. I feel like I could step right into it.

11. Something you want to do again next year?

Answered this already, but I'll give another answer as well! I'm hoping that I'll be able to go to a nearby-ish Ren Faire with a friend of mine again. We've gone together for the past two years, and I'd like to make it a tradition.

14. Favorite book you read this year?

I also answered this one previously, but another favorite was Dark and Stormy, the latest Miss Dark's Apparitions novel from Suzannah Rowntree. All my fangirling involves spoilers, though, so I can't say much more about it.

24. Did you keep any New Year’s Resolutions?

I do goals, not resolutions, but yes, I did! I consistently worked towards writing goals all year, I read more books than my original goal, and I kept up with learning German on Duolingo (and added Irish, as you know).

18. A memorable meal this year?

So many! I ate delicious Peruvian food with @celeritas2997 & @welcometololaland and also got to eat so many more incredible meals. An absolute highlight though, is the degustation dinner my sister took me to for my birthday - this was just some of the stunning food we ate that night

21. What’s something new about your place of residence (room, home, or general location) now vs the start of the year?

nothing really! We’ve been in our house for a few years now and I *think* the last significant changes (new light fixtures, new artwork) were from last year but I’m not entirely sure

25. Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one

I don’t think I wrote any OCs into my fics this year? Maybe? If I did someone please tell me 😂
