I saw this homunculus headcanon template on twitter (made by @N_8machi , they stated it’s free for all to use ^^) and I was like let’s have fun!! And so I drew this. This is probably the only time for me to draw all of them at once lol

My handwriting is shit, hope it’s legible somehow at least. Empty template under cut!!

FYI: the three items are height, feet size, and age (appearance/actual)

Please don’t ask me why is feet size included in the template, I’ve no idea as well lmfao

I don’t have much to say for Envy despite them being my fav, its because if I begin I’ll need three pages :3 so I settled for the simplest ones. Really enjoyed drawing Lust and Greed!! Especially Lust cause she preettyyyyyyy

Pride is surprisingly hard to draw. It’s very hard to show that childish face + mature demeanour T_T will do better next time

Some FMA related Asks. Fav three characters. Favorite Homonculus. Favorite secondary character. Favorite opening, fav ending, and favorite fight?

My favorite three (FMAB) characters are Scar, Roy, and Hohenheim, not necessarily in that order. Favorite homunculus is Greed, although that’s the obvious one so I’ll say my favorite of the villain ones is Wrath. My favorite secondary character is Dr. Knox!

My favorite opening is Rain & my favorite ending is Tsunaida Te. Favorite fight is…I was going to say Roy vs. Envy, but actually it’s the Scar and Kimblee fight on the train (I just love the scene where they suddenly recognize each other.)

okay so you know how Greed is Greed the Avaricious? does Envy have an extra name part too? I'm assuming it's a synonym for envy like how Greed's is. (envy is actually my fav Homunculus, below GreedLing)

I think it’s “Envy the Jealous”

That being said, Im like 85% certain that “[X] the [Y]” epithet used in the English dub is kind of a slant translation. All the Homunculi are called by the English word for their sin even in the original Japanese. I don’t know the exact phonetic spelling, but I think for example “Greed” is “Gurido” in the original Japanese.

So if you’re a Japanese fan, maybe your English is really fine-tuned and you know what all these English words are. But maybe a lot of people don’t. So I think when they say things like “Greed the Avaricious” in the English dub, the Japanese line is really “Gurido the [Japanese word for ‘Greed’]” clarifying the meaning of the English word Greed.

So it sometimes gets a little funny in the dub. Mustang has a line in ep 54 which is “Envy means jealousy right? That’s what your name means.” That sounds a bit obvious to English ears, but im fairly certain in Japanese, Mustang is clarifying what “Envy” means in Japanese.

I like the whole “Greed the Avaricious” “Gluttony the Voracious” “Pride the Arrogant” epithet they have going on in the dub tbh, it’s cool as hell. But I’m pretty certain it exists ONLY to fill in a slight dissonance with the Japanese original.
