For my first Poliziotteschi / Eurocrime / Italo-Crime / Mob Movie review I went for "The Boss" (original title: "Il Boss") directed by Fernando Di Leo, the last movie in his "Milieu" Trilogy starring Henry Silva who plays a Mob Enforcer who takes out several members of a rival crime family for his boss. They retaliate by kidnapping an associate's daughter which sets in motion A violent power struggle within the Mafia.

Armageddon will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on April 5 via Kino Lorber Studio Classics. The 1977 Eurocrime thriller is also known as Armaguedon.

Alain Jessua (Shock Treatment) writes and directs, based on David Lippincott's 1974 novel The Voice of Armageddon. Alain Delon, Jean Yanne, Renato Salvatori, and Michel Duchaussoy star.
