Hi I’m really sorry to bother you but could you say some positive things or something? I’m hiding in my room trying not to have an anxiety attack because my sister (who doesn’t know I’m in therapy or why) made jokes that I was emo (I’m literally not I just said I wasn’t into pop music) and how emo kids c*t and are SOOOOOO depressed and i couldn’t show I was upset because she’d make me tell her why and I don’t want to tell her I’m in therapy for s*lf h*rm. again sorry to bother you

I’m so sorry, your sister sounds like absolute trash who has no like. actual awareness of society and you don’t deserve to have it taken out on you. I think half the planet is in therapy especially after this hot mess of a year (myself included), and it’s absolutely not something to mock or laugh at. You’re brave and amazing for having the courage to get help like that, and also you’re gonna be so much more self aware for being in therapy as well, which is gonna allow you to have a better life and deeper + healthier connections with the people who are currently in your life & people who will be in your life in the future - way better & way healthier than your sister’s ever could be.

Take some deep breaths and concentrate on your breathing, in through your nose + out through your mouth and put on some music that’s soft + calming (like evermore or cardigan, or a non-Taylor song that I get lost in v easily when I’m feeling anxious is Wasteland by needtobreathe or Thunder Road (Live in 1975) by Bruce Springsteen)

Also? “Emo” music fucking slaps and it’s her loss for not seeing that; anyone who can’t vibe to some Panic! or Fall Out Boy is objectively inferior dgshdjjsks
