favorite scene in oklahoma? (if u can choose. there are so many)

oh man i can't just pick ONE. i think the smokehouse scene is the most engaging and well directed scenes in the show. hell, of modern theater in general. if you asked me my favorite musical number a year ago it'd be Many A New Day but the tour made me reeaaally reconsider Lonely Room for that title. but the FUNNIEST scene is easily "will parker attempts to do math"

💃🏽 compliment some people I admire: omg no that’s so broad! There are so many! I guess I’ll do Mary Shelley who I think is probably one of my biggest inspirations. Frankenstein speaks so closely to my heart and I think the heart of a lot of people, particularly women who don’t fit the social norm. Such a pioneer. My mother who managed to stay a truly kind and warm woman while going through a nightmarish illness. @hexx-girlfriend my sister who has saved my life so many times and is to me just the most incredible person I’ve ever met. @mllecosettefauchelevent who reached out to me on here and is so outspoken and amazing, @mariacallous smartest person I’ve ever followed on here, @divinecruelty gorgeous, kind, cool and well read AF, @tradingjackbs insanely talented writer whose job is something I can’t ever imagine being able to do and @fakeblondeabigailhobbs coolest chick ever, so smart and so much fun to talk to. Love all of you

Okay so my room has been multiple shades of blue and purple since like 8th grade and I still love it but also this is amazingly timed because I JUST got the interior design pack on the sims and have been Obsessed so my answer for decorating is: I love greens and teals.

Favorite song lately ooh okay I have been revisiting the entire For Emma Forever Ago album. On the other hand I’ve been jamming to 8 Now by food house and also Throatzillaaa by Slayyyter, BOTH of which were co written by Tony Hawk’s son which is ur fun fact of the day.

9: Were there any alternate versions of this fic?

A lot of this fic has been written by the seat of my pants so there weren’t huge plot points that deviated, however, Will and Abigail were originally going to mostly stick to their remote house/small town because I didn’t quite have the sense for New Orleans being the character she is. My beta really changed that for me and it’s turned into a huge part of the fic that I can’t imagine not being there. I was playing with the idea of Will and Hannibal actually talking to each other while apart, but I decided against it. In early planning stages, I also didn’t have the last act of the story outlined and that’s going to be...a thing lol. If you’ve been paying careful attention you might see some clues about what’s going to happen.

10: Why did you choose this pairing for this particular story?

because of the roam ants...gay cannibals...murder. in general i think will and hannibal’s nurturing/caring instinct is just as (if not) more interesting to me than the violence. and I’ve always preferred the reading that will and abigail were mostly awkward and wanted to connect but had a lot of lost potential and she meant a lot to him rather than the reading that she hated him for killing her father and didn’t want him around (if she’s upset will killed her dad it’s because she didn’t get that chance). Found family > violence for violence sake, even if they have a lot of violence to reconcile between all of them.

15: What did you learn from writing this fic?

I have learned so much, oh my god. I feel more confident with each chapter that I'm doing a decent job actually writing the fic I want to write. I’ve learned that writing in present tense is so much more enjoyable for me, that I can apparently write 17k long chapters and update pretty regularly despite being full-time in grad school. I still write generally the same way I used to, which is scene fragments as they arrive in my brain and then editing/filling things in later, but I feel like I'm approaching scenes with a greater sense of control, if that makes sense?

I'm more aware of how the pacing feels and have a much better sense of a chapter as being a self-contained story arc in itself. I'm also constantly asking myself: ok I have this Concept/I want to explore this idea what can I throw at my character/who can I make them talk to that throws that into stark relief. I'd like to think I'm getting better at the whole concept of characters saying things three degrees removed from what they mean but I still have to do it consciously. There are lots of things, particularly about Will, that I wanted to spend earlier but I had to step back and be like. What does he actually not want to talk about and how can I dig it out.

I've been really trying to adhere to the 'spend it all now, better ideas will come later' where I just throw down whatever comes to me. And a lot of those ideas I take out of the main text and add to my never ending graveyard of scraps, but some stick.

my god your MIND re: lesbian clarice + the possibility of clarice and hannibal actually being familial rather than romantic! if there was Literally any possibility of crossover between nbc and the new clarice show i feel like the mads iteration of hannibal would take one look at her and go 'yep. family now.'

fiona listen. don’t even get me started on how weird and gross it is to romantically pair up a woman with a male serial killer. especially given the performances given in SOTL which. no! but i imagine that as well :( especially since they lost abigail i think clarice would be another substitute but she’d be a better match to their twisted idea of family!! i think it’d be so cool to explore and im positive if we had s4 there would be that chance but unfortunately. bryan fuller’s shows get cancelled after MAX 2 seasons on air and nbc is homophobic
