Heya! I got into Far Cry 5 while back and even beat New Dawn. I'm glad.to find some stuff about them and Joseph was my favorite one but then it switched to Jacob

FC5 is deffo among my big fixations, ngl my focus in the past couple years has shifted a lot towards Cyberpunk 2077 and BG3, but the Seeds always have a special place in my heart.

If you mean in terms of writing, i do have some older stuff that I personally wanna revamp eventually, but for rn my writing content is general can be more easily found at my ao3:

I do have reblogs of where I've posted writing over on my writing blog @heartofsnark but haven't updated much on there just due to tumblr being really hard to consistently format and link parts to in a series, so my recommendation is to check out the ao3, my writing tumblr and this blog do have all my commissions of art of my oc and canon characters though.

I will say too with FC5, most of my stuff has a polyseed vibe, with the Seed siblings sharing my deputy because I'm a hoe, not everyone's cup of tea but it is mine, same with a lot of stuff having non-con themes, but there is some fluffier stuff.

I eventually wanna revamp my long fic for fc5 and do some more, but for now there's the beginnings of that, a two part christmas special, and a little fluffy oneshot if you're interested

🍕 - What is their favourite food? Since we’ve established the gas station snack food thing I’ll make another addition that isn’t dependent on a modern setting: jerky, generally anything crunchy. Any setting in which chips (or even crackers) exist you can bet he’s gonna be scarfing those fuckers down.

💼 - What do they do for a living? Ok so this is funny; in everywhere except the very scuffed ass modern/fc5 AU he mainly just steals shit. If asked why he’s always very ideological about why he does it, very particular about his targets but ultimately yeah. Whatever he can’t obtain via his weirdo hermit ass lifestyle he just forages in other peoples’ homes and businesses for. He could probably make some bank selling the shit he makes if he had any tolerance for the prospective buyers but that is not going to happen because stealing is less annoying.

🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do? Loves to fucking chill idk. If left to his own devices he would probably just roam around, climb some mountains, build some dumb shit, make a campfire, play guitar, who knows. As for hate. uhm. I don't think there's any day-to-day activity that he genuinely cant stand. Like he doesn't particularly like going to pick up the mail or answering the door but like it's not the end of the world. He definitely hates when things are done TO him though lmao- he hates being touched except by a VERY specific few people, otherwise expect to lose an arm.

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories? There was a prominent antagonist in the main RP I did with him, a dracolich who managed to push his buttons like no one else could and more or less took away everything that he held dear. Needless to say Eran went full murder mode, forgot how to be human for a few years, the whole nine yards. I could gush about that RP for hours it is my favourite thing I’ve done with Eran like ever

🧊 - Is their current design the first one? I went and tracked down a specil [ EXCLUSIVE !! ] piece of sprinkle history: behold scrackle circa 2009.

Needless to say the current design is slightly different. Having said that I think I had the basics of his design dialed in within the first few years.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC? I can’t explain this without sounding like an insane person, but it involves a fixation that 13yo bug had with a popular Canadian country-rock band. It’s all completely irrelevant now but it is funny to think about. There were comics.

🌂 - What genre do they belong in? For a long time I had him really locked in to fantasy stuff but I am less and less enamoured with that genre as time goes on for a few different reasons. It’s familiar and comfortable for me certainly, and Eran has BY FAR the most ‘lore’ in his original, fantasy-ish canon. So I’m not sure if that counts as belonging but it’s certainly his origin. Even then that's more of a setting than a genre so I'll expand on that- I think there are certain elements that make an Eran story successful in my eyes, that aren't limited to fantasy. I need him to be able to do crimes, be a Wild Boy and generally be more of a freak than a modern setting would typically allow (not to 100% trash the FC5 au but it definitely needs…something). I think it would be funny to put him in a heist movie. I’ve always liked him best when leaning heavily into the drama, character study sort of shit.

🙌 - How many sibling does your OC have? One brother, Ash, whom he hates.

🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like? Bad! His whole family is a cult in its own right more or less and Eran really doesn’t want anything to do with them. It's admittedly something I haven't fleshed out toooooo much. E's very much a 'keep moving forward' type of guy so naturally his family past stuff has not had too much attention.

💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC? I have had him beef it before- obviously it’s been in self contained storylines. As for anything more permanent- hard to say. I never want to rule out the possibility entirely. I definitely feel like I’ve exhausted my writing options for him at the moment so that seems close to death in a way. I can draw the little bastard until the end of days but coherent story content has been…. Lacking. :|

🍩 -Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival? I don’t feel like he’s had a ‘nemesis’ really in any of the main stories. His scraps tend to be against larger organisations, the world around him or his own dumb ass decisions. I think his most persistent ‘enemy’ has been a Mages’ Guild (also from ‘The RP’ I keep blabbing on about) which he angered on many different occasions though not without good reason. ;)

So for Cooper’s house I picked the one in fc5 in Fall’s End that’s next to the shop. The one you can actually go inside. With the pizza box on the floor and empty bottles everywhere. Cooper is messy…..not necessarily dirty, but definitely messy. He leaves trash out longer than he should and dishes in the sink longer than he should. I would say he has the Reaping as an excuse but he isn’t actually home much during that so. He actually used to be neater as a kid when he was kind of responsible for keeping everything clean and neat or he’d get in trouble. So he’s kind of developed a “nobody’s making me do it so I won’t” attitude. He will clean up if someone is coming over, depending on who it is. Sharky? Nah but John or another date? Absolutely.

Ohhh Okay. God been a while, I have not revisted FC5 in a while but I do miss some of my better pieces. One of which being this bad timeline with @belorage's boys. It was hastily written at like 2am and then edited and posted a few hours later after I got some sleep. I do not proclaim myself to be an angst writer, nor someone who is well adept at it, however this one and its subsequent sequel piece were just some of my best. Some snippets below the cut for you.

Mother of Sorrows

The edge of the battle field was met with words of comfort and reassurance while trying to stop the inevitable. Bandage after bandage was wrapped around him, her hands still working on placing more when she heard a commotion in the middle of the field. She looked up, there in the center was the Sinner, arms held behind his back by three men. He trashed against them his gold earrings flashing in the afternoon sun, dragged to his fate, forced to join like she was. Even after John’s death, one everyone blamed him for, it was still Joseph’s will to bring him into the fold, a fate worse than death for him. Mercy, swift, given as a falsely loyal follower took it upon themselves to shoot him….point blank. 

Hesitation rooting her to the ground, eyes wide, as his captors half threw him to the side to yell at their fellow member, her scream silent to her ears, rough and rattling her vocal cords. Her heart pulled to bring him back home like he would have done, overpowering any voice to stay with the love of her life. Lungs burning she made it to him, avoiding the blank gaze his hazel eyes held for the sky, she pulled, lifting him to her back.“I’m here. I got you,”repeated like a prayer as gravity from the hill helped her bring the two of them together once more. 

The three of them needed safety and only one place close enough to offer them that. Stretcher attached to her back with Wes lying on it and Rafael clinging to her, his steps faltering holding more of his weight, she walked, leading them to the church. 

Back to where it all began. 

Memories

The memory ended as it always did, feeling like the last time she’d think of it again as their bodies were laid to rest. Mary was no longer that woman, she never would be again. She turned leaving quickly as people approached to throw dirt over them, there was no need for Mary to partake in such traditions, they were already gone. She also didn’t want to face the lingering sympathy some held for Catlina, it should have been obvious by now that she was dead too. 

Mary stayed silent, looking out the window, Lance driving her to the church, radio shut off. It was a rare moment that she missed Lance’s ability to speak to her, maybe see warmth and care in his eyes again. She pushed the thoughts out of her head, it was those kinds of things that brought about Cat’s death, it was a weakness. The church appeared empty, everyone taking shelter from the rain, as the two approached the car being parked in the back of it. Lance stepped out of the car first, grabbing the umbrella to hold over her as he helped Mary out of the car. She gave him a smile, eyes blank through the soaked red ski mask, following dutifully behind her. 

“Mary,” Joseph greeted her, stopping her just outside the doorway, “I didn’t think you’d make it.”

“Why wouldn’t I Joseph,” she responded, wary as he leaned down to hug her, invading the small space under the umbrella.

HIIIII (I did not forget this but I've been in The Fog for a bit)

🍔 HAMBURGER — is your oc good at cooking? are they good at baking? which one do they prefer? He loves cooking! Not like french chef level but he's very good at throwing together interesting dishes with limited ingredients (kind of a necessity given where he ends up). Baking is more of a mixed bag; it doesn't lend itself as well to the fast and loose style he employs lol but he can make basic recipes without much issue.

💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them? Values his independence + privacy highly but has a close friend/confidant in Zira. It's always been strictly a friendship I'd liken more to chaotic siblings. Wants agency & control over the direction of his life.

🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace? he's a Toronto boy. Doesn't dislike the region itself necessarily, but the association with his batshit insane culty old money family (and their influence) causes him to avoid it at all costs.

🐈 CAT — does your oc prefer a wide circle of friends or a few close friends? Keeps to himself for the most part, has like 2 people he actually confides in. He used to be more of a social creature for the sake of survival but it doesn't come naturally for him at all.

🎄 CHRISTMAS TREE — what is your oc's favorite holiday? He's a christmas boy, weirdly. His chosen family goes buck wild with the festivities and he's learned to appreciate it. Also just a vibes thing for him.

📚 BOOKS — what level of education has your oc most recently completed/is currently in (GED, undergraduate, grad school, phd, etc)? Was a private school kid (as mentioned above, Weird Ass Family). He was a couple months into his first year at uni when he fucked off to the west coast and did everything in his power to craft a new identity for himself.

🎮 VIDEO GAME CONTROLLER — what are three of your oc's favorite hobbies? He's pretty handy and enjoys building random shit in his spare time- the fire lookout he made into a base of sorts was trashed and he's put a lot of work into making it more home-y. A solid guitarist (yes this was the initial joke of how he'd fit into fc5 world..). Loves hiking/camping and spends as much time as he can out in the woods.
