I feel like at some point in the Familiar AU, someone (Ford? Secret Flirtagent who's made it his personal mission to ""rescue"" Dipper from Bill after nearly getting murdered?) snoops through Dipper's magic cellohone for clues on how to destroy Cipher. And this really is 70% of their texts.
Obviously Bill would have made it so if anyone besides he or Dipper tries to use the phone, they get a nasty surprise, but still.
(Thanks as always for the amazing writing!)

My little theory rant
Okay so today I got caught up in some of Tubbo's streams in specific the one on him questioning the one and only "Enjoy the island" Curcurcho. First, I want to say that boy was that highly entertaining to watch like omg Tubbo was killing it.
But from that whole thing we got really useful information on some bits of the lore and shit that goes on in the island. So here are the points that i found the most interesting
FOREVER
like firstly we know that Forever won the election and is given tasks to do in his presidential reign. I personally full on thought he worked with the Federation but he's more like a sub section in the way a towns major or representative might be in a province or state. And Cucurcho basically was like yeah, he's the pres of the island basically but so far, he doesn't have any actual big pres power. Oher than a bit that was given to him by the feds.
WALL AND FED BUILDING
Tubbo then beings to ask about the buildings such as the wall, which until know all we know it was to separate the first people who arrived at the island and that they pushed a red button which left to the destruction of a bit of said wall and the later introduction of the eggs. And the recent random build was built were all build by the qsmp feds. Who in the feds built and for what reason was classified information. (kinda saw that coming as a secret)
Eggs
Now the honestly the most intresting part of the convo was the subject of the eggs. Our dear tubbo asked so many of the right questions. Like if the eggs hatch which honestly in the long game i hope they do because of the headcannon/cannon lore on the eggs looking like the parents being more accurate after hatching. And he touch on the fact of there being more eggs which if you haven't seen Quackity's and Celbits pov we can definitely say there are more eggs.
Though on Quackity's pov it shows more of either the eggs being recreated in a lab and are trying to be replicated. (The egg we see in quackity's pov was A1 who was doing some sort of test and failed.) Or maybe each time a egg fully dies they are revived and have their memory wiped and gets tested again for other reasons. Which is possible cause ElQuackity came back with no recollection of the eggs and most events of the island. With that being said we know for sure that the qsmp febs have something weird to do with the eggs in general and that Quackity also had some to do with the qsmp feds as he was the one who invited everyone to said island.
We also know that just like the first few eggs that appeared to the first few players that arrived in the island were found in a adoption centre just like the one that cellbit found with the hidden room and the book. Could that be why after richas and pomme kinda just appeared to the other parents after awhile? was it that they learned from their mistake? Who knows all we know is that there are definitely more eggs that was first thought and possibly a more secret adoption centres. (This could also maybe tie in the fact that the codes are trying to kill eggs and now trying to be them.)
Juanaflippa is the only egg to be revied throughout the whole smp. Now when tubbo asked about this whole ordeal on getting eggs lives back, Cucurcho first was like that's classified but the was saying no which could be their way of confusing and avoiding the whole question as a whole. This obviously could just be them confused on the question but its still iffy.
Again the whole thing was super interesting.
The Federation
The Federation it self was a crazy clue in its self. Tubbo compared the whole this to the stranger thing for those who don't know Stranger things there is this lab where they experimented on children such. And Cucurcho being all the island is perfect and Tubbo was like agreeing for the most part. Leading to this.
Tumblr media
We know that the qsmp Feds what them to enjoy the island but we aren't entirely sure why. This was super interesting to me in the sense of double meaning like yes the island is "perfect" for players and for the most part they are content but there is a whole theory that the reason that they gave them eggs was to distract them but from what? I think its like a whole simulation backroom idea. That the true enjoyers of the island is actually qsmp feds as they have ways to test and recreate certain things and certain people. Again possibly tying the blue bird theory of Jaiden being a escaped backroom project that was later brought back by Quackity's request.
Tubbo again asked a great question that i never really have thought of and I don't see most people wonder this. Do these Cucurcho's have free will. This was question bit was weird back and forth momment of yes they kinda of do have free will to a weird I am a employee of the Federation moment. I would say that for the most part they do have free will in the sense they can walk around and talk with people but have maybe a signal que of other Fed workers looking at them closely to make sure they don't step out of line and do their required tasked kinda of like it you ere told to do something at gun point. I honestly don't know.
They the whole might there be other island.
Tumblr media
Its in the name itself. The Federation Census Bureau. The word Bureau itself means a office or department of for transacting a particular action or a government office. Obviously in the context of the book it was used in singularity and not plurality to identify more but it still slightly concerning cause a Bureau it self is a of agreed divided specialties. So it would make sense is that Quisadilla Island to not be the only one in a large network. Again Tubbo be asking the right questions. Also the fact that Cucurcho's answer to Tuboo being like on the idea of more then one island was saying classified was amazing cause it makes it even more believable that there is more island as one island in singularities existence does not need to classified
IN CONCLUSION!! Tubbo was crazy in getting the most general answers and vague questions that allowed us to get at least and idean of wtf is going on with feds and the island. And im sorry for going on this whole rant but i had to get this off my chest so yeah. That whole bit was wild and really had me being like wtf moments

Okay, so I’m not entirely convinced the “something worse than the Federation and the Code” statement is true. It might just be a lie from the Federation to deter the islanders from looking into it.
However, if it is indeed true, then it is the first domino in many revelations.
First off, the eggs. As q!Philza and q!Cellbit pointed out yesterday, if they truly fled due to a greater danger, the only reason for them to have left their stuff is if they fled in urgency. They compared it to leaving from a burning building, you don’t take your stuff, you just run. Since there was no trace of fighting at their home, it also means the danger wasn’t obvious, and that some sort of instinct kicked in. Whatever scared the eggs, it is linked to them in some way, more than the Code ever was. The more likely explanation for me is that it is drawn to the eggs like a predator.
Perhaps then was it the reason why the Code tried to kill the eggs. It was trying to save the island from whatever they’re attracting, by getting rid of them. I’m still partial to the theory that the Federation has some degree of control over the Codes, but this would point to differing objectives. Maybe the Federation is experimenting with the eggs because they WANT to attract (and control) that supposed thing, but the Codes see otherwise, and try to prevent it. Maybe they even tried to do so under the radar, and that’s why the Federation first denied the existence of the Codes: they truly didn’t realize this was happening. Also, maybe the Federation gave the eggs to the players because the organization itself didn’t have the manpower to take care of them, as shown with Hope/Egg A1. They are asking the islanders to do tasks for them after all!
This would also explain why the Code has been obsessed with q!Etoiles these past weeks. They first reigned unbeaten trying to prevent the arrival of some danger they themselves couldn’t face. Then, here comes this weird cucumber guy that ends up wiping the floor with them time and time again. Perhaps with him as a champion, a PROTECTor, and by giving him the right gear, the islanders have a chance at facing the upcoming danger.
This does raise an important question though: where did the eggs go then? We only know of one person who successfully escaped the island, and it was q!Baghera many years ago. The Federation still managed to bring her back, so it seems unlikely that ALL the eggs at once managed that feat in what seemed like an instinctual reaction. Perhaps then the answer lies in what happened to them the day before. They were all dirty and beaten up, and they all felt strange to a degree. What if the instinct first kicked in that night, but ended up being prematurely interrupted due to an unseen force? What if the eggs tried to instinctively burry themselves into the ground? And what if the instinct grew stonger the second day, and they managed to hide that way?

I figured out why none of the fanart of Coronabeth Tridentarius seems right to me, it's cuz she looks like my friend Audrey who sat two seats over from me in torts class my first semester of law school
Audrey is the second-most physically attractive person I've ever seen in my life (first place goes to my appropriately-named college friend Helen, who I know mostly from burlesque club) (it was a lot, guys) so I really understand where Gideon was coming from. Like if Audrey asked me to participate in an inadvisable sword fight against someone way more practiced than me I would totally do it

the more i think about it the more convinced i become that elq really doesn’t have anything to gain from being president and honestly i don’t think the federation has much to gain from him winning either. i don’t think that’s their plan. because like,,, what actually do they gain? because really they either want the elections to appear legitimate, in which case elq winning doesn’t gain them anything because everyone knows he’s backed by the federation and they therefore don’t gain even the veneer of democracy, or the election is just another part of the experiment to see how the players react in which case having a candidate you want to win doesn’t make sense because you would want to see what happens. i think the federation and elq have some other plan that we aren’t privy to, especially given how obviously the rigged election for elq would be. we’ve seen that elq knows how to be obvious as a smokescreen to cover his true intentions and i have no reason to believe that this is any different

reading up about british government as an australian (or as anyone) is sooo fucked up literally.. what do you mean are there actually well over a thousand mps at a federal level? why do you genuinely actually have a house of fucking lords? why is your parliament building a palace? are you ever serious? please be fucking serious for once? 1428 mps in the two houses combined? why do you need that many? why do you need that many? are the lords actually controlling shit? are the 778 people in the hereditary house of lords that still exists in 2023 actually controlling things?

"the federation will retrieve stranded islanders, thus suspending protocol AB"
so protocol AB was always going to send them to egg island, whatever that is, but the portal was hijacked by the eyeball and took them to purgatory
but when bad, max, and pierre activated protocol AB, that very same day tickets started be given out, firstly to bad
so the eyeball guy had to be hoping and planning on this and they had to have had the resistance's help considering a code disguised as flippa but NOT codeflippa (bad asked codeflippa much later and she didn't know what he was talking about and yeah she could've lied but even so) guided them through the maze
of which took them to a secret communications room, that mentioned a 5 black square name, and they'd press a red button that would eventually take them to the cucurucho picture maze which would take them to the dice room for bad's ticket.
so what im saying is.... those tickets were NEVER the federation's intention or doing... bagi and carre included...
(on another note im NOT over how at the end of the cucurucho picture maze there was dapper's hat on a pedestal. NOT OVER HOW WEIRD THAT WAS FOR BAD. NOT OVER IT!!!!!)

This is about to be the wildest crossover ever
Fuck, marry, kill: Paul Atreides, Harry Potter, Roger Federer
Tee I just want to say this is the best ask game response I have ever received in my entire LIFE. You get ALL the awards and my eternal love. Onto the question!
Fuck: Harry Potter. I just KNOW he could hold me down and [redacted] with his [redacted] while simultaneously [redacting] me. Post-war Auror training muscles babyyyy.
Marry: ROGER FEDERER NO FUCKING CONTEST. In addition to being the GOAT and in killer shape at age 42, his net worth is like 1 gazillion dollars and he has a steady stream of brand deals and several investments which would keep us living comfortably (LAVISHLY) till we die. No student loans, the entire world is my oyster, my kids (if I had them) would have a stress-free, free-to-pursue-their-passion life. He’s also just really calm and cute and goofy. He’s so husband.
Kill: I’m gutting Paul Atreides’ white coloniser ass the moment I see him LMAO. Even the artful tousle of his curls and the sadness in his eyes cannot excuse the war crimes, unfortunately.

Did you just describe novak as a late bloomer? 💀
Him and Roger, yes. Purely tennis-wise of course. As you can see from those stats on which i made the comment they weren't exactly teenage sensations, in direct comparison to Carlos and Rafa (Or rather to be exact they were expected to do well at a young age and did show a lot of promise and then it took a while for their careers to actually take off as crazily as they did. In Novak's case this was very much related to his health issues and coming onto the tour at a moment when there was absolutely crazy competition as well. I don't know as much about Roger's early career but I've seen some old match clips where commentators speculated whether he would live up to his talent because he wasn't winning stuff as quickly as expected.) I certainly don't claim to be an expert, this is just how their careers look to me at a glance :-)

Realistically I know Roier hasn't been streaming because it's been 100+ F in Mexico all week and that sucks, but lore-wise I think Cucurucho / the Federation shot him with a tranquilizer dart the day after the wedding because they could NOT risk having him interfere with the elections.

I love this argument that Julian and Garak are having about Earth vs Cardassia political styles and I especially love that Garak is like. shocked at how impassioned he is about this topic
#star trek: ds9#a stitch in time#julian bashir#elim garak#this is JUICY#this is fascinating#fascinating fascinating fascinating#like. yes of course Julian is all for Earth democracy and he wants Cardassia to follow in that#but more importantly he wants GARAK to follow in that#he keeps trying to convince Garak to come to Earth!! and this is established as being a recurring thing#and I love that Garak is VERY resistant to this#obviously the way this is presented is clouded by Garak's own annoyance but this does track with Julian as a character#where he thinks he has the solution and he's confident about it but he doesnt have all the context#so of course he thinks democracy would solve Cardassia's political problems#and sure yes Cardassia at this point does very much need a change in its political systems#but the way Julian explains it- as written in this section- comes across as incredibly condescending#and I LOOOOOVE that Garak is pissed about it!!#because while I think Garak sees that things on Cardassia need to change- what would Julian know about it?#what would Julian TRULY know?#so hearing him confidently explain that the answer is Earth and Federation-style democracy#like it's just that easy#no wonder he gets pissed!#because he cares! he cares about Cardassia and his people so much it hurts!#and being reminded of this takes him by surprise!#especially that he's mad at Julian of all people#I love this insight into how he views him and Julian as having drifted apart#I did not read it like that in the show itself#god I cant wait to rewatch with this in mind
