Trying out a different way of narrating. This weird old voice came from being really tired after recording a lot of screams. Probably just me but it kind of sounds like an old woman to me which is really freaking me out. Also the script is taken from the song “In Parting” by the band Be’lakor.

A lot of people seem to think Cuphead is the older one, what made you go with older Mugs? I hope that doesn't sound rude. ;w;

Back when I was writing as “Skele-mun” on my Sans and Papyrus blog, I was explaining why I headcanon Papyrus still being the younger brother in Underswap. (Personally, that was the only idea that made US interesting for me: the idea that everyone’s magic and ages would stay the same as they were in UT, meaning Sans could still teleport, but Paps could not, etc.)

They asked me “What difference does it make?” Or something like that, and I realized that the idea that someone’s personality/behavior being affected by whether or not they had a younger sibling was something that I just kinda assumed without doing any research on it myself.

So after doing some quick research, I found out that it commonly does! Older siblings tend to be more responsible, more protective of their loved ones I think? I honestly can’t remember what didn’t apply to the two skelebros as separate characters.

So that’s a bit of a contribution of it, but not entirely.

Mugman tends to think before he speaks and acts, he saw the danger before Cuphead snatched the dice to roll, that much is canon. I see him as being more responsible, which being the oldest would contribute to.

But for the most part, ever since I listened to (MPC) narrate Jeff the Killer, and thought Liu was Jeff’s older brother (although it wasn’t ever specified) I loved the concept of the younger one being the fighter of the two.

Because normally it’s expected that the older brother protects the younger. And while they help each other out, Cuphead is clearly better at actually fighting. It’s all instinctual, but Mugman doesn’t want to hurt people, so he’d rather find a peaceful resolution than to fight, but if you push him too far, he’ll snap (PUN INTENDED LOL)

Not to mention that he is actually taller then Cuphead. I don’t have room on my phone for pictures, but if you look at their canon funko figures, Mugman’s technically taller than him, but to be fair, that’s only because of his head.

Although it’s still true on this blog, this picture by @finnrakh-tybay is what is canon for this blog in particular. 

In short, Mugs is smarter, more of a thinker, and even taller than Cuphead. To me it just makes sense that he would be the older brother, because his personality shows us that he thinks ahead. As the older sibling, he has more to worry about, because he feels like he has to protect his baby brother.Cuphead is just too impulsive, careless, and reckless to be the older brother to me...

IRONICALLY, my older brother is...essentially all of those things I just mentioned. But we’re just going to ignore that, because I have also compared him a lot to Sans from Undertale, which are two completely different characters altogether asdhkj

I hope I’m making sense with this, though! I just love the concept of the younger brother being the (physically) stronger of the two, because the opposite is what’s expected.

Why did I choose my URL: I’m going to guess this is asking about my username, HopeCvon. It’s a play on my middle name Hope and my first name Stevon. Because my first name has a rather different pronunciation that what people usually think it is I made it C-von for fun and to give people the hint that my name is said with a long e. St-E-von. If this asking about the whole Weirdmaggedon Princess thing, it’s from a little in joke with me and a few  college friend that I found too good not to run all the way to the internet with.

Gender: Female

Hogwarts house: I never really got all that into the Harry Potter world. Let me take an online test. It’s says I’m a Hufflepuff. I still have no idea what that means.

Pokemon team: I’m not on any team because I don’t played Pokemon Go due to me not having a phone. I don’t think there’s an online quiz that can help me solve this.

Favorite Colour: Mostly dark colors like reds and purples.
