the difference between foundation's reddit 'fandom' and tumblr fandom is so funny. over there you've got endless whining about how bad the show is and essays about how it does the books a disservice like this
meanwhile here you've got shitposts that belong in a museum like
we are not the same

Brother Dawn: A previous version of me tried to escape the palace and he died for it. Since I was a child I had that warning/threat hanging over my head. I'm not going to risk my life for any of your schemes.
Sareth: So, ready to help me enact a coup by cuckolding your 'brother' and siring the future heir to the empire instead of him, by way of reversing your infertility via this exceptionally painful looking device my minion filched from the med bay?
Brother Dawn, drunk on kisses: Yes please.

"Ask a historian, 'What was mankind's greatest invention?' Fire? The wheel? The sword? I would argue it's history itself. History isn't fact. It's narrative, one carefully curated and shaped. Under the pen strokes of the right scribe, a villain becomes a hero, a lie becomes the truth."

I think that it's great that the Ignis Plot from Foundation S2 was just straight-up "Area woman goes on road trip with her long-lost daughter, accidentally picks up her estranged father-in-law, and together the three of them fall ass-first into a cult compound in the middle of bumfuck nowhere."

Oh, how fitting that in Season One Cleon XIII listed off all of the individuals that had touched Azura's life and who would remember her after she was gone, 1551 people, and then with one flick of his hand snuffed their lives out
and in Season Two Sareth lists off her assassinated family, cementing them as people and not figures, naming the ones she loved, and then when Cleon XVII pats her hand in a trite gesture of comfort, she hits him point blank with the fact she knows he ordered them killed
and both scenes take place in the same garden.
