thoughts on full metal daemon muramasa?
i have seen. scattered screenshots. though i have not played it. i think that. the aesthetics and character designs. are pretty cool. especially. for a story. about a sword. (presumably)
i still don't know. what the demon blade is. no one ever explained.

the demon blade has already broken out of tumblr and all my discords are posting images. Much clout to be gained having the posts straight from the tap
you could wield this power, if only you'd read Full Metal Daemon Muramasa, currently 35% off on JAST USA

Any mecha-adjacent VNs you might be able to recommend? I'm familiar with stuff like Muv Luv, Full Metal Demon Muramasa, and even Baldr Sky, but I want to expand my horizons, if possible. The more niche the better.
Damn bro you really struck right on the one genre I don't dabble in (<- can't stand mechas) however I have full faith that my followers are avid vn readers so one of them must have some mech shit to rec you. Anyways gang feel free to reply to this post with mech vn recs and I'll reblog it for anon.

Would one be better off buying the GOG version of full metal demon muramasa or buying it from Jast USA? Theres at least one review on GOG stating the NSFW patch for that version doesn't work which makes me leery of it even though its the site I normally buy from.
you've heard correctly! the patch does not work. JAST is better if you want the uncensored, but if you're never going to read it without the censorship, GOG is the way to go
for what it's worth, I'll vouch for JAST's storefront. it's like GOG for visual novels and eroge, it's DRM free, it's got regular sales, and it's got a rewards system. if you're interested in purchasing officially translated visual novels, you may as well get a library running over there
also I'm not getting paid by them or anything, so I can outright say: if you change your mind, there's no respectable moral framework by which it'd be wrong to pirate a copy of a game you already own which is also intended to be patched into the pirated copy's version for free

4, 10, 21 for the ask game!
4. Do you like cooking or baking more?
def cooking.. i've got texture issues with stuff like cake and pie so i tend to stay away from baking in general (tho i do have some family cookie recipes that i could try.....)
10. What's your favorite book?
guh.. i'm actually NOT super well read sadly.. i liked angels and demons when i read it in high school? it's been mostly visual novels since then tbh. unless visual novels count. in which case it's Full Metal Daemon Muramasa
21. A song that evokes a good memory?
thankfully i have multiple of these!

i think about chameleon a lot. back in HS when the jazz band had finished warming up at the start of practice the conductor would fuck off to do whatever he had to take care of for five-ten minutes and we'd all start playing chameleon. he'd get kinda pissy about it when he got back like we'd been a nuisance but absolutely nobody cared because we were really in it. i did love that we'd kinda just swing into this every time

I think an SRPG game should take advantage of Full Metal Demon Muramasa's route system and implement an event where a character performs a heroic sacrifice and it's based on (out of a select number) whoever has the highest support points with the main lord.
And then on repeats it should randomise the number so you don't know who it'll be.

I feel like the problem with playing 4 different VNs at once is that every once in a while I’ll hear about another I want to check out. And I’m sorry, but I think 4 at once is my limit.
Of the ones I’ve heard, I’ve wanted to play Steins Gate, Full Metal Demon Muramasa, the Higurashi series, and Heart of the Woods. And probably others I’ve forgotten about.
Although two of those do have at least one thing with each of them besides my current VNs that is stopping me from reading them for now. I’ve heard that FMDM has just so many warnings, yet despite that or because of that, I’m intrigued by it. And for Higurashi, I’ve heard it’s a really large series, and that’s a huge time commitment.
And there’s the 4 VNs I’m playing. Like, I’m playing the Tsukihime Remake, Kagetsu Tohya, Katawa Shoujo, and Hatoful Boyfriend.
Although, mainly it’s just the Tsukihime Remake recently. I think I probably should get back to Kagetsu Tohya and Katawa Shoujo, though. I only have one more route in KS and I think I’m about half done with KT.
And I’m just never motivated to play HB, mostly because I’m just not a fan with some of the ways it works mechanically as a VN, like being unable to rewind text.
I feel like the problem a lot of VNs have for me is how long they are. And I love how long they can be, and how they can take the time to explore things, but it means that I’ll end up with several more I’ve heard of by the time I finish one VN.

JAST USA has announced the western release of Full Metal Daemon Muramasa. The visual novel developed by Nitroplus will be available on PC on August 24, 2021.
This game has been long anticipated by the fandom since it’s known as one of Nitroplus’ most acclaimed titles. It’s one of the highest rated VNs on the visual novel database, VNDB.
Full Metal Daemon Muramasa tells the story of warriors called musha. Not only are they strong but they have supernatural powers and enchanted suits of armor called tsurugi.
Minato Kageaki is one of those and wields the cursed tsurugi Muramasa. This crimson armor has caused a big calamity five centuries ago and its power can only be used by sacrificing innocent blood.
Though he may sometimes fight against tyrants and evil men, he doesn’t claim to be someone just. Fighting both demons and saints, the game promises a story that isn’t about heroes or justice.
Full Metal Daemon Muramasa is written by Narahara Ittetsu (Hanachirasu, Kaigen Seito) and its illustrations are by NamanikuATK who’s also directed the 2D graphics of Phantom of Inferno, Togainu no Chi, Demonbane and Tokyo Necro.
The mecha designs are by Ishikawa Makoto, who also worked on Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer, Robotics;Notes and Tokyo Necro. The soundtrack was composed by Zizz Studio (Phantom of Inferno, Muv-Luv, The Song of Saya, Mary Skelter).
