I have a Michael Afton headcanon!!

So honestly I imagine, as a teenager, he had a part time job at fredbears that William gave him to basically make him learn about animatronics and whatnot, as well as to give him an actual job instead of temporary gigs.

Michael mainly worked during the day, and would replace the people who'd wear the springlock suits if they couldn't come in. So he had ended up wearing the spring Bonnie suit one day, performing for kids (which he surprisingly liked; he's a natural with kids).

Unfortunately, some kids ended up crashing into him, spilling their drinks and activating the springlocks.

Obviously, Michael lived, but he has nasty scars all over, unfortunately matching his father, except for the facial scars. He damn near went blind, had issues eating because of a broken jaw, and took about a year to recover. He deals with the chronic pain even years later.

Another thing is that some idiot once tried robbing Fredbears at gunpoint, and Michael, also performing as spring Bonnie at the time, had managed to back a majority of the kids into a safe spot to protect them until police arrived.

After that whole debacle, the kids LOVED spring Bonnie, and trusted the giant animatronic rabbit with their lives.

Too bad William used that trust against them.

Jealous of Tommy - feels like a side character in his own story

fights him b/c L’Manberg was just destroyed {- unclear if just due to high emotions or b/c of grief / anger over destruction}

FALLS INTO HELL (the void)

(happy accident! canonizes death) {before the lag glitch he hadn’t been planning to make the techno death canon}

realizes all his deaths were from Tommy + Dream

claws his way back out out of spite and anger

{the only reason he’s alive is to get revenge on tommy - not only were the deaths unfair but he was betrayed}

*didn’t fully die - hanging on by a thread* {retconned as a way to explain why dream could say that nobody had ever been revived before}

Gets invited to Snowchester, tries and fails to nuke Tommy

Believes {that while it might hurt him,} it’s in Tubbos’ best interest to die

[Spire is not from unjust death, it’s motivated by {feelings of} betrayal] {he emphasized this point a LOT}

JM is lonely and upset and betrayed

TOMMY DIES:

(plus anger at Dream {for taking revenge away from him}

No more goals (hotel doesn’t count {- he calls it vapid, refers to it like it’s mostly just a distraction)

Misses Tommy, being friends, everything. {his death is} bittersweet.
