We know that we’re going to get a glimpse of what the Golden Guard looks like beneath the mask... And the episodes of Season 2 so far have had a trend of a cliffhanger ending, or some other form of unexpected twist that changes everything (save Echoes of the Past);

So screw it- What if The Owl House does a twist straight out of Fullmetal Alchemist... Where we hear Edric refer to his ‘date’ throughout Through the Looking Glass Ruins...

And after we establish what GG looks like, Hunting Palismen or some other episode ends with Edric, all dressed up and ready for his date, arriving at the place...

And the camera reveals the Golden Guard, in casual date attire himself- Unrecognized because the public only knows him as his masked persona! With how GG hired Blight Industries on behalf of Belos, this could be his way of keeping tabs on Alador and Odalia!

Edric doesn’t know who his date really is- And because nobody knows GG’s real name, the Golden Guard might go by his actual one as part of his anonymity! Plot twist, GG goes by He/They pronouns, and Kikimora was posing as his ‘mother’ as part of the civilian facade.

Unlike Lust with Havoc however, GG might genuinely like and care for Edric, and it’s just his way of having fun for once as a kid... Even as he finds a way to keep tabs on the others through Edric as well!

That’d be a neat and fun ending twist, and further the connections between the Emperor’s Coven and Blight Industries, as well as add complications to the potential conflict between Amity and the Golden Guard in Eclipse Lake!

Yes No this is not me just projecting my desire to see Goldric onto speculation as I make a huge leap of logic out of vain hope-
