🦚A feeling of accomplishment... I have it. 💙💜💚 I am so happy with the peacock cloth that just came off my loom! 🦚 ⚜️ I think I have made up my mind what I want to make with it. It has wool, silk, cashmere, baby alpaca, and nylon in there, and it came through the wet finishing process lightly felted and insanely soft. #butta ⚜️ There are a few other projects in the works as well. And there is a new sewing machine waiting to be tested out, so I’m getting excited about what will be coming out of my studio next. Plus, I got a major revelation this morning while listening to my pastor, so I am genuinely super excited about the next message God dropped in my spirit. It’s already rocked my world, and maybe it will bless some people. We all need a little more encouragement to love people, and I think when we see how much God went out of Her way to love us... well, it changes things. 💙💜💚 Also, who knew that when God opened the door for me to finally go to a church that doesn’t suck... that I would actually find one of the sweet spots?! I love our loving hospitable little Mennonite church family. The sermon this morning was one I simply can’t imagine hearing in a mainstream evangelical church, but it was so right on the nose and so powerful. God is doin a thang, Y’all!! Una de las cosas que más disfruto es la cocina; recuerdo que de niño siempre le pedia a mi mamá que me dejase picar los aliños (vegetales y todos sus derivados) ya luego como buen venezolano aprendi a preparar arepas. Cuando inicie el 7mo grado comence preparar desayuno y almuerzo para ahorrar el dinero de la mesada y poder tener suficiente para ir al cine cada lunes popular (mitad de precio) *otros de mis hobbies*. Desconocía totalmente cuanto me ayudaría ese pasatiempo, y cuanto agradecí cada día a mi madre por haberme enseñado, ya que desde los 17 años me tocó vivir en la fría ciudad de New York; sin ninguno de mis bellos padres para que me cocinaran. La cocina no tiene porque ser aburrida, toca meterle cariño y creeme que hasta el plato más sencillo se vuelve suculento (sino pregunta a los restaurantes lujosos) 😜. Así es la vida toca ponerle sal y pimienta...para que no se torne desabrida. Cuando te enfocas en resaltar los colores, los sabores y ese aroma que te hace diferente te vuelves atractivo hasta para el mas exigente paladar (área de influencia, familiares y amigos). Se como el Arroz con Pollo que es uno de los platos mas sencillos pero aun no conozco a nadie al que no le guste.
