learning stage management from someone who was A) not a stage manager and B) extremely condescending has left me with crippling anxiety over doing things wrong and no knowledge of how to do things right

i think it’s bc he didn’t really speak up on blm? ppl were calling him out on twitter for it and instead of acknowledging it he started blocking them and tweeted a blm link for damage control... this is just from what i’ve seen i’m not rlly on newsies fandom twitter so idk

it’s really disappointing that he’s blocking people over an issue that could honestly be corrected over him taking a more active stance for BLM. there was literally no need to get defensive and he took that stance anyways. his privilege is showing big time!! thank you for clearing that up for me!

very much agreed!! i also think kara lindsay and jeremy jordan have been AWESOME allies throughout this resurgence of ppl thinking BLM is cool and trendy. i cannot speak for the black communities, especially ones on and behind the broadway stages, but i think it is your duty to speak out and take action on this issue when it so largely affects our industry.
