I just realized recently that I'm still not clear on what's the difference between くらい／ぐらい and ごろ. They both mean "approximately", or "around", but are used differently.

The site below helped me to understand the difference pretty quickly.

Basically:

くらい／ぐらい is used for durations of time, e.g. 2時ぐらいかかります。

ごろ is used for specifying the point in time, e.g. 2時ごろに始まります。

hold on hold on hold on i have stumbled upon beyblade secrets today.......... there exists a season one concept art that's a height chart of the main kids + the chinese team as a few years younger than they are on s1 (and a line showing how much taller they get by the season)....... and it has... ages listed on it.. and a "gurai" at the end, meaning "about" but anyway

it says that takao and max are the same age, rei one year older, and kai two years older which sounds pretty solid

but it also says that rai is one year younger than rei

this feels cursed to me somehow

👄 How do they talk? What's their vocabulary like? What does their voice sound like? Any accent, verbal tics, etc?

I'd give this one to Gurai, even though it might be a bit of a challenge to describe this about him. So how does he talk? Not too much and doesn't reply when he doesn't feel like it, don't know else to describe that. His vocabulary? Well, in that case, I'd say he is mostly polite but some swear words fly here and there, mostly "In Nine Fucking Hells" and stuff like that. His voice is rather deep and has that grumpy tone to it, if you know what I mean. His accent is meant to be British combined with a tad of Slavic, a thing he got from his parents, I guess. And I don't know what verbal tic means.

💭 What was the original concept for your OC? Has it changed at all since then?

Oh yes, the very best example I have here is Trildyn. People who I talk to for a while now would probably know that he was originally created purely for this fanfic of mine and nothing else, being a mere ruler, polite and patient but also a bit cold and unsure of himself. Over the years though, he has changed to my Nerevarine and he grew so much since then, while being better person, he is still not perfect by any means even though he can look like it. He just has so many years behind him now (centuries and centuries of life) that he has learned how to control his emotions and how to behave even in front of people he doesn't like. Basically, my fanfic Trildyn and today Trildyn are two different people, they also look a bit different from each other, considering the first version was designed around this OC of someone's but I am not going into details with that, who knows, knows.

Anyways, thanks for asking, Ylkai. I always appreciate some asks even though it takes me forever to answer to them.
