okay girls im going to be a little hashtag critical here but i have been ruminating LONG ENOUGH and i really really do not like that scene in the graphic novel murder on the rockport limited where lucretia recognized the umbrastaff. i understand what they were trying to do and i understand you have to change things for the medium but its kind of a disservice to both lucretia and taakos characters imo. lucretia works so hard to keep the boys from questioning things like why would she have a reaction like that. like they couldve alluded to her recognizing it but a scene like that is so in your face and it takes power away from the scene in crystal kingdom where red robe barry recognizes it. and wrt taakos character like. hes never Particularly trustful of lucretia like on a personal level but overall he trusts the bureau and lucretia until reunion tour. adding in a scene like that at that point in the story makes no sense like u cannot convince me taako would not start questioning what the directors really up to and why she had such a personal reaction.

this is a genuine ask because i feel like im not making a connection and want to understand but what does transmasc lesbian mean? if someone is trans-masc- wouldn't that mean they're transitioning away from a womanly identity? butches are masculine women, so what makes a transmasc lesbian, which is to my understanding a transmasculine -woman- who is exclusively attracted to -other women-, different from a butch that's taking T but still remaining within a woman's identity?

trans masc is an umbrella term for masculine of center ppl / ppl transitioning towards a masculine presentation. trans masc people may think of themselves as women, men, both, neither, or something removed from the binary altogether. i wouldn’t say there’s necessarily a huge difference in your description since butches on t are the lesbians i see id as transmasc the most. but it’s really just a matter of self perception and identification.

*oh also while Generally u could describe butches as masculine women, there have always been and still are many butches who consider themselves lesbians but dont consider themselves women at all (and may or may not consider that a trans experience) things are usually messy and weird and fun like that

perhaps obvious perhaps not, but i saw a post talking about how the "has truly insane injuries but lives" thing in alice in borderland s2 is less about plot armour and more about will to live, considering the circumstances of the borderland and all, which i thought was really cool and made a lot of sense.

of course this doesn't include getting your head exploded from losing a game directly, but i think it works really well to explain episode seven and the finale, especially for example aguni where its just. utterly BEYOND for him to get shot like that and still get up, but its like, he still has a purpose and a goal that's keeping him alive. or usagi bleeding out for double digit hours but surviving, vs tatta not making it, when you reframe it in terms of him having fulfilled his goal and accepting his death, it makes sense and feels more anchored to the storyworld rather than just. well thats done with goodbye! and niragi surviving the whole thing bc hes just too annoying to die also makes sense

I was just thinking about it and I kinda believe someone will jump into Takemichi and Mikey’s fight. I see maybe Chifuyu or Sanzu waking up and trying to jump in. Chifuyu because obviously he doesn’t want Takemichi to die and Sanzu because he doesn’t want Takemichi to “break through” to Mikey (which I don’t see happening) and interfere with his “destiny.”

Idk why I feel this will happen, but I just find this fight to be a bit ..weird..? Like it doesn’t seem to have that emotional intensity that was built up and wanna know why??????? Because Wakui gave us that half-assed backstory/POV from Mikey. Like damn he couldn’t even finish his thoughts on Takemichi before he went to the fight and just had him start beating his ass.

generally the spade suit represents darkness / death / intelligence which is why i thought it suited izzy the most. the tarot equivalent to spades is swords which again just suits him a lot. i picked the jack specifically bc the jack of spades is kinda supposed to symbolise a ruthless / cunning / determined person. it also works bc the jack serves the king ie izzy serving ed (also, izzy has a spade tattoo on his hand if you look closely)
