”You can’t be serious.”

You’re seething with anger, warmth heating your cheeks and tears lining your lash line from the overwhelmingly growing frustration building up in you.

Kanda doesn’t spare you a glance from the couch where he takes a sip of his tea. You want to rip the cup from his hands and hurl it towards the wall. He knows that’s what you want to do – he wants you to try.

Calmly, he puts down the cup, with the little finger hitting the table first so it makes no sound as he was taught by Edgar.

“I am.” He answers cooly, leveling your stance with a glance in your direction. Your hands are clenched at your sides.

You’ve been holding in your anger for the past week, ever since getting fired from your job. No emotional reaction, no comments; Kanda hates when you hold it all in.

He knows the road paved to your emotions can be walled up though, so telling you directly to react will simply make you stubborn; make a point out of being just fine.

“That doesn’t mean you have the right to go and actively piss me off for a week straight!”

You’re yelling. Good. Kanda knows it’s about to hit. He’ll take most hits if it helps you, doesn’t even consider them hits, really. He prepares for more yelling, for punching a wall or the couch but what you end up doing is tremendously worse.

You turn around and walk to your shared bedroom. You don’t stomp, you don’t slam the door shut.

Kanda sits wide-eyed on the couch, confused. This isn’t like you; this is a reaction out of his scope of experience with you. Shit.

He fucked up.

Logically, Kanda knows this wasn’t the best route to take, that he sounds like what Lavi would call “red flag-ish”, but he prides himself in successfully getting to know you and your needs over the years you’ve been a couple. If he simply forces you, you will go the other way, refuse to mold into what people want – even if it is what you need.

Some emotions come for you, easier than they do for Kanda, but others do not. Kanda has through trial and error taught himself how to navigate what can often be considered a whirlpool of your emotions. But he’s gone left where he should’ve gone right somewhere the past six days. He’s not entirely sure where.

Kanda doesn’t like being reminded or becoming aware of his shortcomings so the anger he wanted you to feel just a few short moments ago, is suddenly bubbling up inside him for being too emotionally stunted to figure this out on his own. He refuses to call for help. Lavi and Allen would be of absolutely zero help – Lenalee and Alma on the other hand would kindly navigate the situation with him, however, the chance that either of the two are hanging with the two aforementioned idiots is way too high for him to risk it.

All there is left is to simply bite the bullet.

He gets up from the couch and stretches his back, feeling several joints pop into place. He doesn’t remember being this tense before he relaxed the muscles actively.

He won’t admit it to anyone, but he’s tiptoeing down the hallway, dreading the moment he reaches the door. He likes you the best when you’re at your brightest and bubbliest but he likes it the worst when you’re closed up – especially if it’s his fault.

With three concise raps, he announces his presence by the door. There’s no sound from the other side, so with furrowed brows he knocks again.

He’s rewarded with complete fuck all.

With a scowl he opens the door – the least you could do was answer him. He finds you wrapped up on your side of the bed, with your back turned towards him. He knows you’re not asleep; your routine is different than this plus it’s only been a few minutes.

He clicks his tongue as he rounds the bed to get to your side. Further proof that you’re not actually asleep is the way your face is scrunched up almost dramatically, to signal that you’re both angry and pretending. He shakes his head and pushes at your hips unceremoniously to make room for himself to sit on the edge. You let him without any complaints.

He sits there for a moment, silence falling heavy over the both of you. You’re clearly trying to control your breathing as best as you’re able, making it visible how performative it is. Kanda holds back from rolling his eyes.

“Stop acting like a child.”

You huff out a sound before pulling your duvet over your face – or you try to, but Kanda’s weight is stopping it by your chin. Maybe not the best way to start his apology, he notes.

“Get it together.”

You let out an imitation growl before you trash around to turn your back to him. He grabs your shoulder to stop you and sigh out, almost as dramatically as you’re being, “I’m sorry.”

It stops you from trying to turn away from him. Other than that, it doesn’t seem to do much else in Kanda’s favor. His hand that is still resting on your shoulder starts drawing mindless circles into it. He hopes it’s soothing; he wants to be soothing for you. He lets a few more beats pass before he talks again, “just please… open your eyes.”

You seem to listen to his plea, as you peek open one eye to scowl at him, “I won’t forgive you, dumbass.”

He can’t hold back the smirk. You have forgiven him by now if your reply is that. He leans down to kiss you but you pull back, “I don’t accept kisses from assholes.”

His face stays as close to you as you let him as he raises an eyebrow, “hm? That’s odd, given that you gave me a welcome home kiss a few hours ago.”

Your palm hits his face in a matter of seconds. He laughs and kisses your palm instead. You make a grossed-out sound and pull it back, “you’re infecting me with your dumbassery! Go away!”

He rolls his eyes but holds your hand, “if you’re already infected, I feel like you can give me a kiss anyways…”

You pout and huff out before you look at him, “be mindful next time you try to help me, okay?”

He nods, “I promise.”

You lean up the rest of the way and connect your lips. He’s happy he learned something new about you today; you’re his favorite thing to keep learning about, no matter how many years it’ll take. He’s looking forward to each and every one of them.

“Are we rolling?”

“3…2…1…”

The director gave the signal for them to start.

“Hello! My name is Y/N Y/L/N and this is…” she gestured to the blond boy sitting beside her to say his name.

“Patrick Gibson,” he greeted, waving at the camera.

“From the cast of (your movie/show’s name),” she directed the attention back to her, “And we are here with Vanity Fair to see how well we really know each other,” she finished, smiling at the camera.

Paddy gave a thumbs up to the camera and Y/N laughed.

“Patrick Gibson, are you ready?” She questioned, fanning herself with the pile of questions in her hand.

“I am, indeed,” he replied, leaning back in his chair, his eyes narrowing playfully.

“You better get these right,” she murmured, adjusting herself in her seat and shuffling the questions in her hand.

“Right…” she began, “Question 1 then,”

Paddy shifted in his seat, attentively listening for the question.

“What is my favourite dessert?” She asked, raising an eyebrow while scribbling down the answer with the sharpie pen.

“Straight away?” Paddy questioned teasingly, “Not even going to ease into it?”

He rubbed his hand over his jaw, as if deep in thought which brought out a laugh from Y/N.

“This is so easy,” she reprimanded, rolling her eyes. “You know this,”

“Is it… God, I don’t know,” he laughed, “(your favourite flavour of ice cream) or something,”

Y/N nodded enthusiastically, “Yes!” She flipped the card around, “I mean I would’ve accepted just ice cream but your answer was even better,”

“One point to Paddy,” she said, closing the lid to her sharpie and gesturing to him. “Your turn”

“Okay, what is my star sign?” He asked, covering his answer from her.

“Aries,” she said, without missing a beat.

“Correct,” he answered happily, flipping the card around to show her.

She dusted off her hands and scoffed, “Easy peasy lemon squeezy. I get a point,”

“Don’t say that again,” he grimaced teasingly to which she stuck out her tongue.

“Do you know my star sign?” She asked curiously, shuffling her questions.

“You can’t ask me that if it isn’t in the pile,” he pointed out, crossing his arms.

“So that’s a no?” She teased, preparing her next question. “What a shame,”

“Whatever,” he replied, rolling his eyes.

“Moving on then,” she said brightly, dramatically waving her question around earning a snicker from Patrick. “What is one item of food that I can’t live without?”

“Me, obviously, I’m a snack” Paddy smirked, leaning over and throwing an arm over her shoulder, winking.

“Absolutely not,” she fake-gagged, pushing his arm off her.

“Rude,”

“But true,” she pointed out, “Is that your final answer?”

“No,” he replied back, staring at her, eyes narrowed.

“Stop looking at me like that,” she kicked him softly, giggling at his surprised yelp.

“That should be points deducted for abuse,” he groaned, looking into the camera.

“Shut up,” she murmured, nudging him in the rib. “It was barely a tap,”

“Barely a tap?” He gasped dramatically, “I can feel the bruise forming as we speak,”

Y/N rolled her eyes at his theatrics and waited for his final answer.

“Well, in the unfortunate circumstance that it wasn’t me…” He said, ignoring the side eye he received in return, “I’m going to say pasta. You’re always eating it,”

“Uhm, rude,” she replied, turning her sheet around, “And wrong. I couldn’t live without avocado toast actually”

Between their teasing, flirting and banter, the rest of the interview passed by in a breeze. They told stories, laughed until they couldn’t breathe and joked around.

“So who won?” Y/N asked the director eagerly, leaning forward in her seat.

“Y/N,” the director confirmed, behind the camera.

Y/N jumped up from her seat and danced in victory.

“Loser, loser, loser,” she laughed at the boy, going behind Paddy’s chair and wrapping her arms around him. “You owe me dessert now,”

“Said who?” He argued, leaning back and crossing his arms.

“Me. The winner, in case you forgot,” she told him again, winking at him.

She leaned in and kissed his cheek ever so slightly but that was enough to send fans into perpetual comas. “I do think you look like a snack today,” she whispered so quietly, it was barely detectable but enough to fluster him

“Thank you for watching me beat Paddy today on Vanity Fair!” Y/N beamed, returning to her seat. “Please check out (your show/movie’s name) which is currently streaming on Netflix.”

“Thank you for watching!” Paddy replied, wrapping an arm around Y/N in celebration and waving goodbye with the other hand.

Y/N did in fact make sure that Paddy bought her dessert, scrolling through her phone while fans blew up at their interview.

“What are you smiling at?” He questioned over a mouthful of ice cream.

“Nothing,” she laughed, switching her phone off and leaning into his embrace. “This is delicious by the way,”

“Not as delicious as you-“

“Don’t you dare finish that sentence, Gibson,”

I just wanted to express how grateful I am to have two IRL best friends that aren’t crazy TRAs. One of them is bisexual but she doesn’t seem to be too into the tranny thing, and the other is straight but she’s completely accepting of actual homos and doesn’t seem to be too into the tranny thing either. I can openly talk about not being attracted to men and penis with them and they’ve never reacted with “but but twans women 🥺🥺” and I’m so thankful for that. We also all three argued with a TIM before about TIMs in women’s sports and I was so proud of us for standing up for ourselves and our fellow women. I know I’m lucky in this day and age to have friends like them, and I really hope I can have more conversations about feminism and stuff with them in the future :’) <33 -🪽

as for the crochet project, i didn’t start the one i told you about, i started making a mesh sweater tho and it’s coming out super nice. haven’t gotten round to continuing it though and YH i did get my revision done (which is new for me) and my exam went well!!

i love helnik with my whole heart and soul, they’re just so <333333. inej is my favourite, her whole character and personality just has me in a chokehold tbh. she’s so amazing

Oh wow!!! This is my first ask- (very excited)

But to answer your questions!!

1. My favorite fic I've written was my TLOU Sonic Au- I love it sm because it combines 2 of my favorite shows and has SHADOW AND TAILS DYNAMIC!!! (I just love writing them together)

2. I've been writing fanfics for only a year- the Sonic Fandom inspired me fr (I was considered a new fan-)

3. OH!! @passionartx !!! One of the best people I've ever met- super talented and creative!!( Def check out their Sonic Tangled Au!!!)

4. Hmm- unfortunately I'd have to say @myyla-x (they make good fanfics ig... (dw love you broo <33))

5. Haven't made one- (tho my friend has like a MILLION)

6. OHHH! I THINK ABOUT THIS FANFIC ALL THE TIME- IT INSPIRED MY OBSESSION WITH THE ARCANE SONIC AU!! It's called Unreliable by SpringEvergreen!! (ahhh I reread it alot)

7. Uhhh I would have to go with Bubble Pop! It's important to me since I sorta just used it to vent and write how I see sorta see the world- (I'm stressed 365/12 and 24/7 (and terrible social skills)) but it's also not my greatest work-

8. I wonder who my favorite Sonic character is???? At this point I should just put Tails fan page on my bio- (LOVE MY BOYYY)
