pleasantview reborn: the lotharios

i recently realised that i've hit round 4 in my pleasantview reborn save but never actually introduced any of the families... oops! time to remedy that... starting with the iconic lothario family at 165 sim lane!

i use @skittlessims' gc pleasantview sims, so a lot of my sims are going to look very different!

family bio:

The Lotharios are a reclusive, enigmatic bunch. Old money might have given Don and Cassandra a good start to family life, but was it enough to give them a happy marriage? Will Fabio finally crack under the pressure society has placed on him, the eldest heir to the Goth-Lothario fortune? Will Idalia grow up to be a perfectionist gentlelady like her mother, or a sailor of the seven seas? And through all of this, will Nadia get a good shot at a drama-free childhood? Rumours abound of the disagreements going on in the Lothario clan, and none of them are pretty.

Don Lothario

Once upon a time, Don's life was so full of ladies, the only reprieve he got was sleep. Now that he's gotten older and mellowed, though, all he's seeing are the consequences of his own actions. Namely, the many angry ex-lovers he spies whenever he takes his kids grocery shopping.

Cassandra Goth-Lothario

Quiet and mysterious, Cassandra has always been far more sophisticated and intelligent than her years. A doting, if strict, mother to her children, and an enigmatic figure in the science community she's soon to inherit, there is only one thing that Cassandra can't seem to solve: her husband's wandering eye.

Fabio Lothario

Handsome and polite, Fabio grew up in the stifling Goth-Lothario clan, constantly being reminded of his duties as the only Lothario son. He likes beans and would like to start a farm one day, though parental pressure to carry on the Lothario legacy threatens that dream.

Idalia Lothario

The social norms imposed on the Lothario siblings from birth seem to have had no effect on Idalia, the eldest daughter of Pleasantview's most notorious power couple. While as artistic and refined as her mother, and as attractive as her father, she seems to have inherited a penchant for the criminal from some long-lost Goth ancestor.

Nadia Lothario

Shy and nature-loving, Nadia keeps carefully to the Goth tradition of mystery. She has few friends and prefers her mother's plants to parties.

Baxter (Cat)

Baxter’s quite a curious kitty, though not the smartest. His loyalty to his longtime owner, Cassandra Goth, is infamous in Pleasantview.

don just up and stopped rolling any kind of wants for romance other than getting married and making new friends, oddly enough, so i changed him to be a popularity sim, and added a family secondary because he will NOT stop rolling wants about luisita, his daughter.

he did a whole heel face turn...lowkey one of my favourite families, he constantly rolls wants for learning new recipes and interacting with her...

Nothing else happened during Don's round and he spent the rest of his days working and exercising. The only thing is that one day Brandi came to visit him (in my mind maybe she wanted to tell him about the pregnancy), but he wasn't at home so they'll talk when I get to the Broke's round.

Still haunted by the disappearance of her mother as a teen, Cassandra sought out solace in the form of Don Lothario. However, when he met Cassandra and realised that he had a chance to get a piece of the Goth fortune he couldn't turn it down. Money, woohoo, lavish home and life of luxury, who could say no? Not Don, that's for sure. However, now feelings have entered the mix and he's realising that bleeding Cassandra dry and taking the money is going to be a lot harder than he anticipated. Well, at least he has his various affair partners to keep his mind off the guilt.

Will Cassandra get the family she's always wanted and the man she dreams of? Will she ever discover Don's infidelity and money-fixated motivations? And what did happen to her mother, Bella Goth?

My rotation begins with the Lothario household, which currently is just our lover boy Don. I'll list his main information below! Aspiration: Serial Romantic Traits: Romantic, Active, Slob Romance Sim Likes: Purple, Green, Electronica, Fitness Degree: Biology Career: Doctor, Level 4, Medical Technologist Hobby: Fitness

I would like to also add that for the first two households I played, i had forgotten about Sims 2 scripted events. So, unfortunately, I did not incorporate those into my gameplay at first. By the third household, I attempted to make up for what I missed (some unexpected occurrences made it impossible to be exact).

One thing I've noticed while playing the Sims 2 in storymode.

Is that with any other Sim I never get back from work earlier if they get demoted or fired, yet I only see this happening to Mary-Sue Pleasant

Considering you can actually play the household in a specific order to build the story, imagine if by following this, Mary-Sue began to suspect Ned Fulmer Daniel since the fiasco at Cassandra's house.

Mary-Sue witnessed that Dina, Nina and Kaylynn were involved with Don, who ran away from the wedding. She couldn't get out of her head that Kaylynn, her maid, was involved with an engaged man.

Her gut telling her something is wrong is what makes her either get demoted or fired from her work since she can't focus at all, with a heartbroken best friend, the maid involved in the drama with taken men, she confirms her suspictions when she comes back and caughts Daniel in the act.

Sandy asked Don out for another date and of course he couldn't say no. This time they went to the Lulu Lounge. Don wanted to have a public woohoo and the choice was between the outdoor hot tub surrounded by the snow or the couch inside in front of other people. No need to say that they chose the second option.
