#i also think sirius doesn’t have to be immediately approving of the wolf thing???
"I don't really give a damn about the way you touch me when we're alone"
"You're ashamed of me." Remus' voice is barely there but it's cold and unfamiliar. Sirius stops in the corridor and all of a sudden it's darker, the scars on Remus' skin glimmer in the low light. No one wrote a book on this, because if they did, Sirius would know. All that occupies his mind is this condition. It feels like a restraint around him, like a tough pill to swallow. Sirius still sees Remus, he still sees the quiet moments they've shared, he still feels his hands on his skin. What he can't help, however, is seeing his shadow in the shape of a wolf.
"You can hold my hand if no one's home."
Sirius reaches for his hand yet Remus makes no move towards him. "I could say the same to you. But I don't. I won't." He's still, illuminated in the lamp light, breathing heavily. “Only one of us is a monster, Remus. And it’s not you.” Rationally, Sirius knows the moon is only days away, that this is so much harder for Remus than it would ever be for him. This time it hangs over both of them. Remus’ footsteps echo away from Sirius. Sirius can’t help but feel like it’s unfair.
"Do you like it when I'm away?"
Sirius feels on edge the whole of the full moon. He sits by the window the whole night, praying for a glimpse or a howl. Something, anything to indicate that Remus, his Remus, was okay. He knows it’s one night. One night, twelve times a year. The condensation from his breath pearls on the glass, illuminated by the moonlight. Sirius feels like the moon is mocking him - I’ll always have him in a way you never will. And Sirius should feel guilty. He really should. But Remus is his, wolf be damned.
"If I went and hurt my body, baby, would you love me the same?"
Sirius wakes up at sunrise. He doesn’t know when he drifted off to sleep but he knows Remus will be back. So he runs. Remus is asleep, caressed by soft sheets he knows Madam Pomfrey has transfigured. He’s lightly bruised and a stitched up laceration graces his left forearm. Sirius can’t help but think he’s beautiful. Sirius always thinks Remus is beautiful. Radiant. Like the moon. He crawls into the bed, jostling Remus awake. He blinks slowly up at the other boy. Sirius holds his breath. Remus concedes. He always does with Sirius. He pulls him in by the waist, and they sleep. Silly boy. He thinks this is what he wants, but he does not understand how it will hurt.

HP AU Grantaire
This was where it all started, and there is something very important about him that was intentionally left from this list, as I plan to reveal that in due time. Here is Grantaire through book three:
Grantaire is the son of a muggle and a squib
His dad was pretty against magic so Grantaire did not grow up anywhere near being in the magical world
His mom cut contact with that family when she got married to his dad because they didn’t approve of her marrying a muggle
Or of her being a squib
The cutting off was mutual for the most part
Her kids didn’t even know her maiden name
She purposefully named her children boring muggle names to go against the family customs
He doesn’t get along with his immediate family except his sister, because his mom always sides with his dad and his dad doesn’t like that he has magic
His sister is a squib
Given his mom’s side of the family being from a long line of Slytherins, everyone kind of expected him to be one too, those who knew his mom’s family anyway
Oops he was actually a Hatstall between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, and only got put into Ravenclaw because he started entertaining himself by thinking about the Iliad
Soon made friends with Joly and Bossuet who were in his dorm with him and who taught him about the wizarding world since his mom hadn’t
He stumbled on the Room of Requirements in his first year and uses it as a painting room
Knows the castle like the back of his hand, has spent hours upon hours exploring and learning his way around
That means if he doesn’t want to be found, he won’t be
Also that when he wants to mess with people he knows exactly how and where to do it
First year goes pretty smoothly. They don’t start becoming friends with the others until second year
When Joly and Bossuet started going to the new civil rights meetings which have kicked into high gear with the scary things going on in the school, Grantaire goes along because he’s fairly clueless about wizarding world problems and wants to learn more
And ends up arguing constantly with the leader
Still, when Enjolras realizes the differences in opinions come mostly from how different their lives have been, he takes it as a personal mission to educate him on everything
They start to understand each other better over the year and enjoy going against each other in dueling club
Year three was honestly his best experience at the school
He became very close to Prof. Lupin and the two of them got along great
Having an adult who he could rely on helped him greatly, and Lupin helped him come to understand his changing feelings for Enjolras
His patronus was formed when he thought of Enjolras holding him after a full moon, and was a fox. As the years go on, however, it changes into a wolf
His boggart is one of his friends screaming at him about hating him and how he turned them into a monster like him
When he, Feuilly, and Bahorel met Sirius Black at the Shrieking Shack, Lupin drops the bomb that is
R’s mother’s maiden name was Black. Sirius was his uncle
Everyone is quite surprised but it all kind of clicks. R knew his mom’s family had a tradition of naming their kids after constellations and were well to do in the wizarding world
Sirius knew his sister had run off with a guy, though he didn’t know the name and hadn’t expected a nephew to come of it
R was heartbroken when Remus had to quit, especially because of why, and wanted to pick a fight but Lupin insisted he didn’t
He ends up going to live with Sirius in Grimmauld Place because his parents did not treat him in a way that neither Sirius nor Lupin deemed appropriate. “She inherited much of the malicious personality but none of the magic”
Grimmauld Place ends up becoming a meet up place for Les Amis to hang out and get away from family
