Idk if anyone has asked this previously, sorry if they have!! I was wondering what some of your favourite andreil fics where? Particularly au fics, cause u saying that u sometimes ponder andreil having met when they were in their 60s made me think maybe andreil aus are ur thing? Hopefully that makes sense lol, also rlly curious how u think andreil meeting in their 60s may affect their dynamic/relationship potentially?
Okay so I actually have a bookmarks list, but I'm hoping to go back and read them and see if I still like them now lol, since my taste has changed a lot over the years and since I started to critically think about fandom culture. I bookmark a lot of stuff even if it contains trends I criticize in fandom culture since… those trends are largely unavoidable. But anyways here's my bookmarks list, its pretty mixed:

I guess Au’s are my thing maybe, I've never really thought about it. I have a detailed list of all the different AFTG fanfic ideas I have, some detailed backstories and HC’s of various foxes, some au’s. I have 13 HC fic ideas rn in that file that are canon compliant, either before or after canon, and about 20 on the AU list, but a lot of those are a more vague “this movie/book au” while some have a lot of detailed notes and ideas. I have no idea how many of these ill actually ever write or publish tbh, I like to think about them mostly for myself and sometimes posting my art or writing can discourage me due to lack of traction/popularity. I struggle with comparing myself to others tbh which is why I stopped posting so much art.
As for Andrew and Neil meeting in their 60’s, there is just so many different ways it could go. I once thought of an AU where they meet once when they're in their early 20’s for a period of time, and then meet  again by chance in their 60’s and have a moment of “oh I remember you.” It really depends on a lot of factors and how they would have gotten to that point in the first place.
30 is half of 60, but I'm casually writing a fic where Andrew and Neil meet in their early 30s as neighbors in an apartment complex and due to a rent increase and the pandemic have to move in as roomates. I’m writing it with a friend and not taking it very seriously atm and I don't know when/if ill be posting it, since it’s mostly for me and him to enjoy right now, and I'm trying to focus on foxholes. It was just supposed to be a “bored roomates stuck in quarantine end up with a FWB situation AU”–but since it’s Andrew and Neil, I ended up planning out the last 10 years of their lives and what happened and how they're different from their canon selves and why they would be where they are and how would they get close enough to even get to that point.
They're both very different and similar to the people they are in canon, they never really developed in the ways they do in canon, but they're stuck in a new way than before. Andrew’s deal with Aaron has expired and Andrew’s let himself get forgotten, refusing to reach back out and keep contact with anyone. The team lost it’s class I status. Neil never graduated from high school and when his mother died the car exploded while he was burning it, and he got badly injured. I had fun constructing a bunch of details in the background and random technical details that aren’t needed for the basic premise of the fic, but I personally prefer to think about.
If you want an ‘Andrew and Neil meet when they're older au’ there’s this one:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/17573861
It’s not how I personally think stuff would go down, but it’s still a good read. It’s also on my bookmarked list so clearly I liked it enough to give myself the option of going back and rereading it again later.
But anyways, I essentially need a stronger framework to even begin to think about how Andrew and Neil would act if they met in their 60’s, there are just so many options. Probably didn’t give the response you were expecting, but who knows maybe one day I’ll make a bullet fic or two.

M, R & S for the ask meme? :)
M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?
as of literally yesterday i’m aching to write a wingfic. it’s been so long since i’ve churned out a wingfic and i miss it so much. unfortunately i don’t have a ship i want to write for rn so i’m just sitting here with the possibilities of delicate touches and preening help and using wings to shield a kiss all just sitting in my head with nowhere to go :/
R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
oh god yeah. @ravenvsfox has been an influence since i started in the aftg fandom. every time i’d read meghan’s fics i would be desperate to write something of my own. outside of fandom i’m really captured by how pierce brown uses descriptors to catch the mood of both the character and the environment, and i try to channel that as often as possible
S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?
hurt/comfort is the only thing i can’t resist. i could take or leave anything else but i will fall on a sword for hurt/comfort - both physical and emotional

I have enough money to buy one (1) book this month and I would be ever so great full if you could make a (few) recommendation(s) and also tell me why please and thank you kindly
Well shit, i gotta be honest anon, i’m probably the worst person to ask for irl book recs, because 99% of what I read is fanfic.
However, I do have a couple of suggestions you might like!
AFTG series (it is the second biggest fandom on my blog, but you might only be here for capri so who knows, maybe you haven’t read it): you can get these on paperback or online, and i think the second and third books are like dirt cheap, so you might be able to afford all 3! They’re a sports based series, with a side of mafia, and have probably one of the best found family tropes i’ve read. It is a YA series, and it is LGBT, but the relationship isn’t the focus of the first two books. Be warned, its very dark, and has multiple depictions of child abuse, sexual abuse, self harm, murder and institutional abuse/abuse of authority and all that. Take care of yourself, but give it a shot!
The magpie lord series: i read this even before captive prince, and though it’s been ages, i remember it being intense and wonderful (with a badass blond protag who has lots of magpie tattoos, who got exiled to china and speaks to his buff cool bodyguard in chinese all the time, and a loveable red-head love interest who i’m like 90% sure has magic)
In the Company of Shadows series: this is online and free (and possibly the most ginormous series of books i’ve ever read). It features spies, dystopia, and an incredibly intense relationship between the main protags. It’s violent, gritty, sometimes long winded, and absolutely incredible. There’s lots of warnings for the series, including sexual abuse, general abuse, institutional abuse and all that jazz (there’s more, i cant remember them rn) but it’s a fantastic series. I’ll love Hsin and Boyd till the day I die (those assholes)-- also make sure to read the directors cut where you can.
the Raven cycle (which i haven’t read, but i have a reliable opinion on): apparently the characters are the best part about this books. I’ve seen a lot of roman/adam stuff, so there’s also a gay pairing! (be warned, its a YA lit book with hets as the main focus tho, idk if thats your thing)
And veering off topic here, anything written by Neil Gaiman. That man is a fantasy master, he’s created some deeply intense and riveting stories (and he wrote the book that inspired one of my favourite movies of all time: Stardust) If you don’t care for romance or want something a bit more nitty gritty and fantastical, give his works a squiz!
I’m useless at this kind of thing, but i hope i’ve given you some ideas!
