HS^2 bloggin’ mainline 2020-12-25

I’m not going to spend time BLOGGING an upd8 on Christmas morning!

...yes I am who the fuck am I kidding. (Bonus stuff and Hiveswap are still well on hold though.)

So are we gonna follow up on the main ship? Probably not, right, with that perfect Karkat point to cut away, right? We’re just going to leave Roxy’s question hanging, as well as makeouts etiquette, and leave while having seen a COUPLE FRAMES of non-possessed canon Jade with only whatever fun fanart was inspired across the internet by the moment to tide us over????

Oh huh, I guess not? So... Jane’s, or Rose and Kanaya’s?

Karkat stays for longer than John thought he would. They talk a bit, but mostly they are quiet. Eventually, Karkat gets called away on yet more important war business, leaving John with one final touch on the shoulder. John leans into it in response, though he’s a bit ashamed of chasing down a sliver of physical affection so soon after obliterating Karkat’s evening like he had.

Pretty much, yeah. Can’t blame either of them.

When Karkat is finally gone, John still doesn’t move. It isn’t as though he has nowhere else to go, since there are quite a few places he might attempt to make himself useful, for better or for worse.

You’re still abandoning the task that was explicitly yours to protect your literal kid and his friends, but, oh well. Low-point. Dave dead, house dead, broke news, I get it.

He just doesn’t feel ready for that yet. The remnants of his house are still smoldering, and he can’t stop staring at them. It would make sense, he thinks, to want to root around through the rubble for anything that’s still intact; some half-charred keepsake to claim as the last thing left that’s still his. But he doesn’t want to do it, and he doesn’t want to think about it. And he still can’t move.

Can’t move. No Breath huh? What’s going to get him to, then?

Roxy shrugs and swirls her own coffee around in her novelty mug. John looks around. A lot about the room is the same. The family photos, the rug. There’s a lot more cat stuff in there now, though. The bed is new. John feels like he’s about to take a test he hasn’t studied for. He makes himself focus on what she’s saying.

That would be the feeling.

John feels his shoulders unbunch. Of course. Yeah. He’s almost embarrassed by how relieved he feels. So what if his ex wife wanted to hook up? Shouldn’t that be a situation he could navigate? Don’t people like to find solace in human physical connection during dire times? Why did the idea of it make his mind white out in panic more than, say, any number of the traumas he just experienced?

Either she’s lying to get John involved in things or this is a gendered cop-out because these characters are superheroes at the TOP of their echeladders, given obnoxiously powerful video-game strength and athletics only to then have ascended into DEITIES. God-Tier Roxy could probably have lifted a bed like that when she was SEVENTEEN! And now she’s an ADULT, out-of-shape or otherwise! If this were a whole CAR I might be willing to handwave it, but just a heavy BED?!? And none of the GUYS are going to have this much trouble lifting a bed like this, are they?? This just feels like following classic cartoony gender tropes in the complete absence of these characters’ super powers, what the fuck, and also Roxy if you didn’t make it Transportalizer-only access you could have given it an entrance you could phase through with your fancy powers to get to. Reinforcing that things turning out this way was in fact the FANTASY that Calliope was writing over in the Canon timeline. Just, heavily, HEAVILY implied that the Candy timeline is -- or at least originated as -- Calliope’s fanfiction as a Muse of Space, and its competition for audience interest with canon is the essential conflict between alt!Calliope and Dirk (or Dirk and Andrew Hussie).

CALLIOPE: so to pUt it simply, getting to experience sUch emotional drama myself was an impossibly enriching experience. CALLIOPE: possibly a first for my species! CALLIOPE: earth c, or at least oUr version of it, has, from the moment we crossed the victory threshold, been inside a black hole. JOHN: ok. CALLIOPE: and not just any black hole, bUt the very black hole in which the green sUn Ultimately met its demise, allowing oUr victory in the first instance! JOHN: huh! ROXY: ("huh!") CALLIOPE: bUt, paradoxically, the critical moment which determined its capture within the black hole happened *after* that point. CALLIOPE: the series of events that led to Us being trapped beyond the event horizon of an Ubermassive black hole could be considered "tails", while the events which would have occUrred otherwise could be considered "heads". CALLIOPE: since both were possible, and paradox space is the way it is, they actUally both happened. and we jUst "happened" (hee hee) to get tails instead of heads. JOHN: you mean we ended up with the bad possibility. CALLIOPE: not at all! since both possibilities depend on one another's existence, it really doesn't make sense to call them "right" or "wrong". they both just "are". JOHN: o...kay... CALLIOPE: u_u

Yeah, it’s going to take a bit more than that to convince him he didn’t make the “wrong decision”.

CALLIOPE: i realise that this may be a lot to process. CALLIOPE: it's easy to forget that this wasn't obvioUs to everyone from the beginning. CALLIOPE: anyway, the reason i went on this tangent in the first place was to explain that the space we are standing in right now has a special significance, in that it is the location which corresponds to the black hole's singUlarity. JOHN: oh, wow. JOHN: um. JOHN: ok so, sorry if this is a dumb question to ask suddenly, but what does being inside of a black hole actually... mean for us? JOHN: is that bad? JOHN: is it like in movie, um, JOHN: shoot. JOHN: roxy what was that matthew mcconaughey movie from your earth that we watched? ROXY: u mean interstellar JOHN: RIGHT. JOHN: the one with the organ. CALLIOPE: to go back to your original question, john. CALLIOPE: it's not strictly speaking "bad" for Us to be inside of a black hole, mUch thoUgh that contradicts most of what anyone knows about them. CALLIOPE: of coUrse, if we had fallen into it, that woUld be a whole other kettle of fish. CALLIOPE: the tidal forces woUld have stretched Us all into spaghetti and then ripped us apart! CALLIOPE: bUt the natUre of oUr arrival was more akin to simply "being" here, sUddenly. one moment we were not, and the next moment we were, and somehow always had been. CALLIOPE: in everyday, practical terms, being inside of a black hole has very little bearing on Us. CALLIOPE: i mean, the natUre of space and time is a little finicky in here, bUt for the most part it doesn't seem to be anything too oUt of the ordinary. CALLIOPE: she departed through a pUnctUre she created in the black hole's surface shortly after consUming my brother, a deed which provided her with the necessary "oomph", and which was frankly rather breathtaking to watch. =u= CALLIOPE: bUt Upon her departUre, the rift closed for good. as far as i can see, there's simply no way for Us to commUnicate with the world oUtside the black hole.

What the heck? Calliope SAW all this? Is this her Muse powers at work, letting her observe these things, or was she there? And John certainly did NOT see ANY of what Calliope just said happen.

CALLIOPE: i woUld certainly be very sUrprised to find oUt that anyone had managed sUch a thing!

So we’re going to find that out if we haven’t already. Maybe something to do with the way Vrissy just conks out narcoleptically?

JOHN: ...right. JOHN: so... let me just get this straight. JOHN: knowing that we're inside of a black hole... does that actually change anything? JOHN: like, can't we just go on living like normal? CALLIOPE: oh absolUtely not. CALLIOPE: i don't know if yoU've noticed john bUt this world is on the brink of a total cataclysm. JOHN: oh.

CALLIOPE: oUr exclUsion from the overarching coUrse of events which governs all reality means that oUr existence here is liable to dramatic and violent Upheaval. CALLIOPE: to pUt it another way, becaUse nothing in here "matters", we are likely to be sUbjected to things which are a bit bats in the belfry, for no reason other than it's totally insignificant to the wider canon of reality. CALLIOPE: and mUch thoUgh i am personally titillated by some of the conseqUences of this predicament, it is a degrading way for Us to live. u_u JOHN: that's... certainly one way to put it, yeah...

No plot-armor for your entire timeline, I guess, yep. Outside of canon, we can imagine and write about ANYTHING happening to the characters, or just drop their existence entirely, much like a doomed offshoot timeline. It’s a plot stability that depended heavily on the threat of Lord English and being trapped in a story, and without it things are bound to see a BIT chaotic (or “degrading” if you view it as subjected to the whims of fanfic writers, certainly).

CALLIOPE: at first, i believed that this was simply necessary. Us playing tails to oUr coUnterparts' heads, the black to their white, and so forth. CALLIOPE: bUt over the years i have come to the conclUsion that this is simply not kosher. ROXY: its total bs is what it is CALLIOPE: right, yes. CALLIOPE: a steaming pile of bUllshite. CALLIOPE: and so we have decided that something needs to be done aboUt it.

Ah fuck. You’re going to regulate non-canon? “Canonize” it? Is the fact that you eventually succeed at whatever it is you’re trying to do part of why we have the story presented to us in this bifurcated structure?

JOHN: i'm not sure how i can go about freeing us from a hellish space prison, but i'm up for giving it a try i guess? JOHN: i have... literally nothing better to be doing at this point. except for maybe hanging out with harry anderson. ROXY: nice save lol

CALLIOPE: something SO dramatic, so hyper-relevant, that it becomes ontologically impossible for anyone to ignore it. CALLIOPE: for that, we need an individUal of sUfficient narrative cloUt, so to speak. CALLIOPE: and to liberate her, who better than the embodiment of the aspect of freedom itself? CALLIOPE: ... Whatever this is, it’s going to be really weird and PROBABLY infuriating and/or shippy, and I’m probably not going to like it. Plus it seems like it’s some sort of inverse belated canonization of some other black-hole-rescue theories I went on about at some point. Although, related to that link, “aspect of freedom” if anyone wasn’t paying attention! That’s a (sorta-)canon mention of the purpose of it!

They’re going to attention-wh-- attention-hog themselves out of the black hole so that they’re “considered canon” too, or close enough. Huh.

In reality, John isn’t sure what most of this means. But on balance, it feels okay? He’s gone back and forth about a hundred times in the last week about where his place in everything is, so he might as well ride this out. Plus, the last time a Lalonde kind of told him to do something, he thinks that he chose not to, and look where that got him. And it’s not like he has other plans. He may as well do this! It’s at least going to get him involved in things again, if nothing else. He turns to go, and then hears a sound. It’s the sound of feet and knocking on doors, echoed through stone and digital static.

Oh shit. Is Andrew trapped behind some fourth walls behind the curtains.

No, even if it’s a knock at the somehow-top-level-house-even-under-buried-- oh, right, maybe it’s covering in part a monitoring system that looks up there. But still, part of that sound was DOUBTLESS these two hiding something, all standing in front of the curtain like that.

Are you sure it’s a good idea to wake him?” Hoseok asks tentatively, glancing between Seokjin and Yoongi and then back at Namjoon, ”He’s… I mean, I don’t think he’s feeling that well.”

Seokjin seems to consider this for a moment, stepping closer to feel Namjoon’s forehead before he shrugs, ”He’s tired. We all are. His body needs fuel, though. If he can’t handle dinner, I’ll send him to bed. It’ll be more comfortable than sleeping on the couch,” he eyes the angle of Namjoon’s neck critically.

Hoseok sighs, watching Seokjin’s back as he starts toward the hall to collect the kids, ”I dunno, Hyung,” he says, glancing from him to Yoongi, ”he was really out of it earlier. He was trying to help me with a track, but he just kept scrapping everything he came up with before he even shared it with me. He fell asleep pretty much right after we got back and that was hours ago.”

Seokjin sighs, feeling slightly useless at this point. None of them know what to do right now and frankly, things are not looking up any time soon.

Namjoon’s naturally olive-toned skin has taken on a shade of red, like he’s burning up and yet, he’s buried himself in blankets. He won’t stop shivering, and his stomach is making noises that are so gurgly and loud, that the boys are all worried beyond belief.

“He needs to eat. Let’s wake him up.” Seokjin decides with finality, ignoring the perturbed looks that his fellow bandmates give him.

Hoseok’s mouth twists into a grim line, but he nods and steps over to Namjoon, setting a hand on his arm, ”Joonie,” he coos, rubbing up and down to rouse him, ”dinner’s ready. Come eat with us.”

Namjoon grumbles softly and blinks a few times before he sits up, squinting at them without his glasses in the low light of the living room. He’s quiet, dragging his feet off the couch and staring blurrily at a point across the room, ”’m not hungry,” he says finally, voice rough and cracking.

Yoongi groans, finding the entire ordeal frustrating. Not because of Namjoon, no not at all. It’s not his dongsaeng’s fault that he’s not feeling well. It’s the simple fact that if they force Namjoon to eat now, it won’t be pretty.

And yet, they don’t really have a choice.

“Joon, try to eat a little something, please. Jin-hyung made something light. Just try to see if you can stomach it.”

Namjoon rests his head in his hands and doesn’t answer for long enough that Hoseok starts to wonder if he’s ignoring them. Eventually, though, he scrubs at his face and nods, getting up on unsteady feet and starting toward the dining room.

He drops down in his spot at the table and sighs, blinking to try to clear some of the fog from his mind. He’s really not hungry. His stomach doesn’t feel bad exactly, but it doesn’t feel good either.

They don’t have time for this right now, though. They’re supposed to spend most of tomorrow in the dance studio and if he doesn’t get it together, he’s going to be putting everyone behind schedule.

”What’re we having?” he asks when the rest of the band has filtered into the room.

Seokjin pours the broth into a variety of bowls, making sure there is more meat and greens in the ones that belong to the boys that are not sick.

“Drink up, we all need to eat.” Seokjin says to the group, combing a hand through Namjoon’s hair with the utmost love and care. “Please Joon, try to eat.”

Namjoon swallows thickly before steeling his nerves and picking up the spoon.

“Okay… I’ll try…”

Namjoon wakes up the next morning a little while before his alarm is set to go off. His stomach churns and he blinks up at the ceiling, swallowing a mouthful of acidic saliva. He lets out a long, shaky breath through his nose and rolls over onto his side. He can make out Taehyung’s blurry outline, asleep across the room and tries to match the peaceful rise and fall of his chest.

If anything, it makes him feel worse and he sits up slowly, grimacing and holding his belly. It’s like he can feel all his organs shifting and sliding against one another. He turns his pillows so they’re vertical and leans back against the headboard, pulling his knees up to his chest.

His stomach has settled a little now that he’s upright and he sighs, pulling his blankets up around himself. He’s cold and they aren’t helping much, but it’s better than nothing.

Namjoon hisses through his teeth as his stomach clenches, gripping at his belly as it squirms angrily beneath his skin. “Ohh,” he groans, pressing his forehead into his knees and breathing deeply through his nostrils.

“Hyungie?” Taehyung murmurs, half asleep and half awake at the sound of Namjoon shifting behind him.

Namjoon blinks and lifts his head, turning to look at Taehyung, ”I’m fine, Tae-yah,” he whispers as loudly as he dares, ”Go back to sleep.”

Taehyung hums sleepily, snoring once more.

Namjoon sighs and carefully maneuvers to the edge of the bed, but the movement only jostles him further. His stomach squelches and grumbles, rolling around inside him. He hiccups and acid splashes the base of his tongue.

He stands as quietly as he can and shuffles unsteadily from the room. On the way to the bathroom, he almost knocks into Yoongi, who stares at him with wide eyes.

“Joon-ah? What are you doing up? Are you okay?”

Dizzily, Namjoon gives a small shake of his head and edges backward to let Yoongi by. He wants to answer, but he can already feel the swell of bitter liquid rising in his throat and keeps his mouth firmly shut.

Yoongi on the other hand, already knows what comes next.

“Namjoon, Namjoon.” Yoongi calls out as he runs for the other, dreading what is to come but pushing his own personal worries to the side. Namjoon is going to need all the comfort in the world, as he takes his position as leader very seriously, and hates to be down for the count.

Namjoon barely hears Yoongi calling him. He feels a bit like he’s got cotton stuffed in his ears and he’s witnessing everything from underwater. A shiver runs up the length of his spine and he breaks out in a cold sweat, stomach lurching under his palm.

His eyes widen as Yoongi closes the gap between them and he lifts a hand to his mouth. He only just manages to turn away from his hyung, ducking his head as vomit surges up his throat and sprays out between his fingers. It coats his arm and most of the front of his shirt and his muscles convulse with the force of another heave that has more sick pooling on the floor at his feet. He whines involuntarily, spluttering and gasping for breath.

“Fuck.” Yoongi utters as he kicks open the bathroom door, pulling Namjoon in by his sleeve. “You’re okay, here, kneel down,” Yoongi bids, hastily lifting the lid as he maneuvers Namjoon’s body in the direction of the toilet.

Namjoon stumbles after him and sinks to the floor in front of the toilet, curling over the bowl and burping up a slurry of bitter liquid. His belly clenches and cramps and he tries to close his mouth and breathe through his nose to settle the nausea, but the foul smell has him choking up another round.

“Jesus, Namjoon, was it something you ate?” Yoongi asks softly as he rubs and scratches gently at Namjoon’s back for comfort.

Namjoon pants over the murky water, trembling with a combination of fever chills and stomach upset. His shoulders twitch up toward his ears in a helpless shrug and he holds himself as still as possible in the hope that it’ll make him feel better.

With no response from the sick boy, comes an understanding that maybe now isn’t a good time to try and start a conversation.

“Joonie, I know this sucks but you need to calm down. You’re gonna hurt yourself if you don’t relax.”

Namjoon whimpers, hugging his belly and pressing his forehead against the cool porcelain. He lets his mouth hang open, burping wetly and spitting up a mouthful of puke hardly a moment later. He heaves emptily after that and groans.

Yoongi hisses, grabbing a discarded hair tie from the bathroom sink and pulling at Namjoon’s fringe, tying it into the smallest of ponytails. In the process of tying up Namjoon’s hair, his hand grazes the skin of the younger’s forehead. “Ah, Joon-ah… You still have a fever…” he murmurs.

Food poisoning isn’t usually accompanied by a fever.

Namjoon sniffles and lifts his head slightly, fumbling to flush the toilet. He watches as everything swirls down the drain before he shifts to rest his cheek on the edge of the seat, blinking tiredly at the tub, ”Hyung?” he whispers.

“Yes, Joon?” Yoongi rubs at Namjoon’s hair, all ears.

”I think ’m done,” he murmurs, voice wobbly even though he tries to hide it. The vomit all over his clothing is starting to seep in, making him feel damp and sticky and overall uncomfortable and gross.

He sits up a little, keeping his head ducked, ”I feel better now,” he says, but it comes out sounding more like a question and his pale face and glassy eyes do little to back it up. His belly has settled somewhat, but he doesn’t think he’ll be moving very far from the bathroom for a while yet.

Yoongi can sense that Namjoon is extremely uncomfortable still, who wouldn’t be?

Yoongi tries not to let it show, but the stench is incredibly strong now. Even so, Yoongi wants nothing more than for Namjoon to feel better and for this sickness to go away.

“Here, let's get these clothes off so you can shower. Would that make you feel better?”

”Okay,” Namjoon agrees, voice small. He’s shaky and his fingers feel uselessly uncoordinated, but he rolls his shirt up as much as he can and peels it off, shivering harder without a layer to protect him from the cool air in the bathroom.

Yoongi places a hand at the small of Namjoon’s bare back, patting his sides softly. “I’m going to help you up now, okay? We’ll move slowly so we don’t mess up your stomach again,” he murmurs softly, prepping his body so that he can lift Namjoon with ease.

Namjoon nods and lets Yoongi manhandle him to his feet, ”’m sorry,” he whispers once he’s standing, in nothing but his boxers, waiting for his hyung to finish adjusting the water, ”We were supposed to be at the studio soon and I’m making everything difficult.”

Yoongi tightens his grip as he helps the younger man to stand, helping Namjoon to toe-off his socks and pants. “Namjoon, don’t apologize to me. This isn’t your fault, and honestly, who gives a fuck? Your health is more important right now.”

Yoongi knows that he sounds mean, but he hopes that Namjoon knows him well enough to understand his heart. The studio session can wait. There will be plenty more.

Yoongi turns on the shower head, placing a hand under the water to test its warmth.

“Feel that for me, Joonie, is it warm enough for you?” he asks.

Namjoon shuffles forward, muscles tense to dampen his shivering, and sticks his hand under the spray. He flinches, pulling back to Yoongi’s side, ”It’s cold,” he croaks, the trembling getting more violent, starting to upset the delicate balance in his stomach.

Yoongi frowns, knowing very well that the water is fairly warm. Must have something to do with how Namjoon is feeling.

“Okay,” he turns the dial, the water hot enough to be a little uncomfortable, but not to burn. “Better?”

The only thing keeping Namjoon from whining and asking to just go back to bed is his pride and at this point, his misery is close to winning out. He reaches to test the water once again and nods silently. It isn’t quite as warm as he’d like, but it isn’t cold anymore either.

Namjoon steps under the spray and stares down at his feet, standing still. He sniffles quietly to himself now that he’s sure Yoongi won’t be able to hear and tries to take nice slow breaths to settle his tummy.

Yoongi steps back, utterly distraught at how hurt Namjoon looks. His poor old heart can’t take this.

“Do you want me to step out? I can give you some privacy?” he offers, stepping back towards the door.

Namjoon shrugs, blinking water out of his eyes, ”You can go,” he mumbles. The shower is starting to make him feel a little more himself, ”You don’t have to tell anyone,” he says, embarrassment finally kicking in, ”I’ll clean up the mess.”

Yoongi pops his lips, appreciating Namjoon’s leadership skills, but also a little annoyed at the fact that he’s still trying to take care of himself when he’s sick. He just can’t do that right now. Even if he might be feeling better, he still isn’t 100%.

“Namjoon I really don’t mind, and absolutely not. You’re not cleaning anything. I got it, okay? You’re sick. You take care of us all the time. Let Hyungie take care of you.” Yoongi says, a small smile gracing his chubby features.

Namjoon tries to smile back, but he thinks it probably looks more like a grimace. He really doesn’t feel well, ”Okay,” he agrees, ”just, you really don’t have to say anything to anyone else.”

Hoseok keys in the password and slips through the door into Rkive. He pouts when he spots Namjoon curled up on the sofa in the corner of the room. He saunters over, feeling Namjoon’s forehead to assess his fever before he can protest.

Namjoon grumbles softly and sinks lower into the cushions, but he doesn’t push Hoseok away. Especially not when he perches on the arm of the couch and starts playing with his hair instead.

”Jin-hyung’s keeping the maknaes occupied, dance is also cancelled for the rest of the evening” he says, turning to look at the back of Yoongi’s head, ”Are the two of you making any progress?”

Namjoon shivers, blinking to clear away some of the fog. He feels a little useless just laying here, but Seokjin threatened to make him stay home if he didn’t cooperate. He supposes they’re making progress, though, and he feels not bad right now. If Hoseok keeps petting his hair like this, he might fall asleep.

Yoongi sighs, rubbing the crust from his lidded eyes. He doesn’t want Namjoon to notice how exhausted he seems, aware that the rapper will blame himself when in reality, Yoongi is tired all the time.

“He hasn’t puked in an hour or so, that’s a good sign, right?” He asks, biting back a long yawn that is threatening to escape. He’s so tired that he can barely keep his eyes open, but Namjoon is still squirming in his spot on the couch. They might not be out of the woods yet. “I put the garbage can near him but, all he’s done is cough and spit into it. Something tells me, he might be done, at least… when it comes to throwing up.” Yoongi mumbles, unconsciously joining alongside Hoseok, petting his sweaty hair.

Namjoon grumbles a little more, not a fan of being talked about like he’s not here, but Hoseok quiets him with gentle fingers massaging his temple, “I think so,” he agrees, “Jin-hyung wants to know if he’s been drinking anything,” he adds, glancing around for a water bottle or a cup.

Yoongi hisses through his teeth. “Not really, I should have given him something to drink huh…”

Hoseok gives him a look that spells out how over it he is.

“Alright, alright. Jesus, let me get him something to drink.” Yoongi says as he leaves the room. He comes back with a green bottle of gatorade.

“Come on Joon-ah, you’ve been doing so well. Open up for me.”

Namjoon purses his lips. He suddenly feels very small with all of the gentle affection and care Yoongi and Hoseok are giving him, ”Mm,” he agrees, fighting his desire to seem strong and the defensiveness that tries to rear its ugly head.

He lifts himself up on his elbows and takes the drink with shaky fingers, swallowing a few small mouthfuls before he lays back down. He curls up more tightly than before. Being watched is doing little to keep his system from revolting and he kind of wishes they would do something else.

Yoongi sighs, groaning as he releases his body into the base of the couch. His body slinks to the floor, clearly exhausted.

“If it’s a bug… we’re all fucked.”

Hoseok chuckles, falling back to the couch on the opposite side of the room with a huff. “I don’t know. He hasn’t been feeling well for a while. I think we would have gotten it already.”

“I wouldn’t be too sure of that.” Yoongi chuckles as he rubs at his face. The thought makes Hoseok quite nervous, but he doesn’t say much more on the matter.

Yoongi takes a peek over at Namjoon who looks fast asleep. He groans.

“Oh thank god, he’s asleep.”

Hoseok titters. “Took him long enough.”

Yoongi nods, eyes narrowing as he attempts to suppress a yawn. He pushes himself to his feet and shuffles over collapse against Hoseok, ”Thanks for talking to management earlier. Made things a lot easier to just swap the days around,” he looks back over at and sighs, ”I just hope he feels better tomorrow.”

Hoseok nods, his limbs growing heavy as he sinks into the cushions of the couch. Today, was a long day. The boys can only hope that tomorrow is better.

“Me too hyung. Me too.”

Yoongi holds up an arm. “Hobi, come cuddle me. I need my human pillow.”

Hoseok gasps, clenching at his chest as if he is in immense pain. “Am I nothing more than a pillow for you to use? To sleep on? How dare you.” He berates, playful and sleep deprived. Yoongi giggles, his gums showing.

“Yes. That is exactly what you are. Now come, I’m the hyung. You must obey.”

Hoseok titters. “Yes hyungie.”

The two don’t see the harm in cuddling since, if Namjoon is contagious, they’re all bound to get it anyway.

A rant abt RenAi

I was missing Zero that I wanted to re-read his scenes and saw vkm has alot more chapters since I last visited (I dunno why I was surprised it was like a year ago) but anyway, I chose random chapter to check out and BAM well hello there RenAi *sigh

My first response was 'of fucking couse you do' but I'm not surprised.

My second response was 'shes a girl??'

So then I checked out vkm tags I'm surprised that there are people who were in denial... Like I get it, YuMe isnt direct incest like RenAi and VK and even vkm kinda sunk that ship but like why are you surprised? Were y'all thinking that with YuMe sunk, sensei is implying that incest sucks in her universe? Cause YuMe didnt sunk in canon because it was incest but because kaname was too depresed and fucked up that he crossed the line and hurting yuuki, thats why he decided to 'stop' their relationship.

While checking tags, I read some from both sides... Aaaand....

1. I agree that people who cant enjoy vkm anymore should just stop reading. And like just delve into fanfics and fanart cuz like thats what they are for. But some people like to rant cuz thats what blogs are for. We just need to tag and block tags, man.

2. Saying ALL the ones who dislike or even disappointed abt RenAi is lesbianphobes... Nah hun, its the incest thats they have problem with, I dunno why this is hard, like alot of fans dont like YuMe for the very same reason even tho they're like ancestors apart lol.

3. While some are preetty clear that the reason they dont like it is because incest isnt their cup of tea, but Im seeing some post that is one slip away to purity culture and nuh uh, no just no. Look whatever, some people ship incest, some people dont, when you dont you just press that back button (and I know alot have done, which is fine and good). But for the love of God, I better not see 'incest is wrong' regarding renai's discourse. This is fucking fictional abt vampires! Dark vampires not fucking vegetarian vamps (tho I hesitate to call VK a dark manga.... Its more like a dark rose-colored one)

4. The stalking, creepy way of Ai's bla bla bla.... Like please, none of the vampires in vk are fucking saint. All of our charas are fucking disfungsional. They are not bad or evil, but none of them are good. Zeki even said it, Kaname did the same. And I know, VK has kaname abusive in the end, but *sigh Sensei story is of that tragic backstory caused this guy to fucked up his mind and vampire has instincts that cause these abuse. For the lack of better words Sensei in the story kinda excuse the abuse. I disagree but I didnt write the story so. And sensei has written a parallel of yume with zero ai, but resolved or handled in better way so really, I dont think they're going to go the same mistake as kaname made.

And full disclosure, I dont like RenAi, its not that they're girls, or incest. I have some incest... uh not ship I guess since I'm not invested in their relationship canon but I do enjoy incest fanfic or stories, from the dark toxic one to the pure but 'wrong' love. One example is Okumura Yukio/Rin, they are twins and are demons so really.. I'm not new to these dark themes... But honestly I'm just disappointed.

At first I thought is it because I hate YuMe? But then I remembered my problem with the last chapters of VK was Yuuki's lack of development not Yume, cause I did root for them until the after rido arc. And its mainly because Yuuki devolution that to me are in effect of putting kaname in focus. So in a way I hated YuMe for de-evolving my girl and just ended there without the rise of her character or something.

Honestly I dont think I'm the only one who think that vkm was a fix for that.I think thats why a lot of people are mad that the trio 'dissapear'.

If it isnt clear, its because some fans wanted to see some closures and the development for the charas that were rushed in vk. Until RenAi appeared, it hasnt finished yet, so these fans were miffed or pissed that sensei suddenly focused in RenAi when some charas havent even shown their faces. Dont get me wrong, the way vkm has been written has made me think that all development and closures are going to be written in pieces and disjointed from the start, so I personally dont have a problem but I can understand these fans.

I think, bottomline RenAi ticked me off cause its like the de-evolution of yuuki all over again and the way RenAi plot is handled canonwise is not my cup of tea. Tho really VK has always been weak in plot, so we should man up and admit it, VK n VKm are character study stories.

Miscellaneous Rune Factory 4 Secrets/Lil Cute Things I Noticed!

Dunno if any of this is helpful, and probably most people already know cos im a dummy who didnt read any walkthroughs or anything, but MEH I wanna squee about how neat these details are anyway! :D

* Every super giant version of a vegetable has a unique name (E.g. Doom Pumpkin, Ultra Toyherb and Maximum Pink) And did you notice that in the credits all the english translation team use one of these as a nickname? That’s adorable! * One of the requests is a tad confusing cos it asks to harvest a ‘Shining Tree’ but the crop is actually named Twinkle Tree. (Even though the seed is Shining Seed) I got stumped on that for a while cos I thought the tree still had another growth stage if I watered it more. Aside from that I havent seen a single translation mistake, which is amazing! * You can get unique dialogue if you have a character in your party while inspecting certain parts of the map. So far all I’ve found is that Arthur explains all the mysterious crates of trading items on the airship, and margaret gives you free fruit if you check the various things in her house. (only once though!) She also talks about how some famous historical composers were part of the De Sainte Coquille family. (for example Beet Hoven XD) * You can befriend boss monsters which is Really Friggin Cool and I’m glad I discovered it by accident instead of reading a guide! Its just so badass to use their hella annoying attacks against enemies and tear them aprt, or ride about on something that takes up the entire map! * But yeah anyway the fun trivia part: the secret boss recruitment items for the guardian rematches are the same as the best friendship items for the characters themselves! Marionetta is the easiest to recruit cos she just loves the highest level cake items, which you can get fairly often in Porco and Dylas’s daily food shop. Oh bonus fun tip- they each sell different dishes each day so check both if you’re looking for something! It can help a lot when you need like thirty damn Apple Pie/Cheesecake to capture your best friend’s monster self. *Thunderbolt likes the giant crop version of carrots, but i havent grown one yet. I’m not sure what exactly Ambrosia and Sarcophogus like, is there even a higher level version of honey and mushrooms...? Maybe its a high level flower and one of the lategame salted fish recipes...? * Oh and it seems some boss monsters who have a particularly large amount of attacks have some that they cant use while you’re riding them, since there’s only three buttons. Marionetta cant use the one where she throws plush toys unless you dismount. And it seems she can’t ever use the one where she locks you in a treasure chest while she’s a pet monster, I guess it was hard to reprogam the animation for different enemies? * Also i just find it silly cute that marionetta’s ride animation has her as if she’s on an invisible motorbike, for no logical reason! * It seems Pico actually was part of the Marionetta guardian monster, even though she could still manifest as a ghost? or something? The concept art shows a pair of monsterous hands with eyeballs that operate the marionette strings, and Marionetta’s pet monster description gives this other monster the name Handetta and seems to talk about it as if it has Pico’s personality. I dunno, maybe monster-dolce manifested a pico duplicate because she was lonely, or pico was casting a spell to create those marionette hands so she could keep her monsterified friend from hurting people? Its an interesting lil trivia that gives me fanfic ideas! * The Dead Tree boss monster’s apples are apparantly flat 2D textures, you just cant see cos it never turns its head while fighting you. But it looks kinda hilarious when its your pet! * If you wear a costume and go on a date with someone, it seems they’re quite likely to change into their version of the costume too. And if they’re wearing a costume on the world map they’ll stay in it if you add them to your party, and won’t change back until you send them home. I had fun always grabbing everybody during beach day and slumber parties before I was able to unlock the costumes for myself! It was a nice preview cos certain characters wear the same costume as the protagonist, just in different colours. (Btw this only works for swimsuit and pyjamas, not the rainbow of recolours for the default outfit) * For some reason characters still say ‘i wont go on a date til you get rid of that third wheel’ even when your other party member is just a monster. I would have thought it would be perfectly fine to bring my pet along :P I kinda hope that if we get a rune factory 5 then maybe there could be two-seater monsters where you can both ride while on a date and get special cuteness! :D * if you clear the leon karnak revisited dungeon before getting the super secret postgame quest to revive [certain person who died in the ending], you get a bonus awkward scene of reaching the top and nothing is there but Leon’s two shrine fox statues. Protagonist says ‘i just wanted to visit you guys’ and they’re like ‘wtf this is most irregular’. You can even give them gifts! (but they dont have a friendship bar to raise so youre just wasting your items lol) * if you clear the maya road snowfield dungeon before starting the act 2 quest where you’re SUPPOSED to clear that dungeon, nothing actually happens and you just cant walk through the final door to the next dungeon. Then annoyingly when you do initiate the quets all the switches in the dungeon reset so you have to do it again even though your map shows that you already finished it. I just find it odd cos Leon Karnak showed the developers thought about sequence breaking, but here they didnt. I was annoyed cos I stumbled in there entirely by accident and didnt even realize I had to initiate a quest first! * For some reason Doug hates bread and toast but is fine about sandwiches. And its a bit unintuitive to figure out Leon’s ‘likes poisonous things’ tip, cos he reacts the same as everyone else when you give him most poisonous dungeon items- getting pissed off that you gave him ‘trash’. IM SORRY LEON! It seems he only likes mushrooms and certain fish thatre stated to be poisonous uncooked. But then every other fish he only likes it if its cooked. Why u confusig, Leon?? * Dylas has the most favourite items, loving carrots, milk, fish, sashimi and anything else related. Kinda ironic that the self-proclaimed grumpy guts is the easiest to befriend! * I’m not sure if this is official canon or not, but it might be possible that Doug is related to Zaid from Rune Factory 3. Both of them have a backstory of their tribe being destroyed by invading humans, and they share silver eyes that might possibly be that tribe’s trait? (I dont think any other character has them) * Daria from RF3 could also possibly be Margaret’s sister. Raven says that there’s a resembelance between Margaret and ‘an elf in my village’, and Margaret mentions having a sister who’s an artist, so it might be her? * Oh and more obviously Porcoline is related to the De Saint Coquille family from RF3. And I havent personally played RF1 and 2 yet but from what I’ve heard there are other De Saint Coquilles cameoing in every game in the series? Thats cool! I wonder if they all share that same weird art style? * For some reason your son/daughter character always has Frey’s colourscheme even if you play as Lest. That’s really weird! I guess maybe they ran out of memory space to add two sets, but why didnt they just make the male and female protagonist have the same hair colour? * The promotional Nintendo Dream manga has the romances for the protagonists set as Dolce for Lest and Dylas for Frey. So thats the closest thing we have to an answer on the developers’ favourite routes, and we can assume maybe they liked Frey as the main protagonist? Though I’m not personally too hung up on which option is more canon, lol!

Insurance for 1998 Corvette for 18 Year Old Male?

Okay, so this question is one of those, if you have to ask you can't afford it type of questions. Now I have loved Corvette's since I was old enough to identify cars. So we are paying like $132 for car insurance on two vehicles with American Family Insurance and we both have clean records although we are young 22 (f) and 24 (m). I'm wondering something about car insurance. I am a 17 year old male, (turning 18 in 1 month) and have been driving a 2001 Hyundai accent since October. I am insured with esurance, and have liability only. I have a clean driving record. My monthly insurance is $197. I am on my parents policy. When I first called to get a quote, (cheapest company for me) it was around 120 a month, but then they got the VIN number and of course it went up because it knew exactly what car it was. Of course car insurance is very expensive for a male my age. My question is that I'm trying to save money to buy a jeep wrangler this summer. Will probably be a year 1997-2003. I want to know about how much it would cost to insure the jeep. I hear mixed responses about the cost to insure a wrangler, iv heard it's expensive because of the high theft rate and roll over chances.
