Oh lord, she's about to do it!
Let's talk about how it was always gonna be a case of "damned if you do, damned if you don't" with one mister Wylliam Ravengard.
For the record, I did not play EA of the game, so the EA versions of all the origin characters, especially Wyll, are strangers to me. I've seen a couple of clips of EA!Wyll on youtube, mostly to hear how he sounded before, but beside that and seeing a post or two about how he was prior to his rewrite, that's it.
Getting to the point:
The issue w/Wyll stems from most fandom(s) in general, not just bg3's, not allowing or not wanting to have black/brown/just characters of color period to be complex, flawed or anything else that would be allowed or celebrated when it comes to white characters due to racism/fandom's inherent prejudices.
Y'all jump to call Wyll boring because on the surface, he's the typical good guy, hero, knight character from a noble background but you don't look deeper than that.
You don't see a man who at the of seventeen...SEVENTEEN! Was kicked out of his city, his home by his own father no less for choosing to pact himself to a devil's service in order to save said city, said home.
You don't think about how much of a blow that had to be for young wyll...to be punished so severely for just trying to do the right thing and how he had to navigate the new world he suddenly found himself thrust into.
You don't think about him having to grapple with two identities: one as the Blade of Frontiers, hero to the Sword Coast and as Mizora's agent, having to do her bidding and hunt down her adversaries.
Speaking of Mizora, you don't think about how he's constantly being dehumanized by her and who knows what other ways he is mistreated by her.
You don't think about how, when he once again chooses to make a sacrifice of himself to save another/in the name of doing what's right (Karlach), he is yet again, punished severely for that.
You don't think about after being transformed into a devil, the trauma that he must deal with in the aftermath; both physical and mental/emotional. (I mean, hello! the way that wyll's transformation is described by the narrator sounds nothing short of horrific)
You don't think about how despite all that has happened to him, he still wants to do good for the world, when it would be totally understandable if he did become jaded and cynical due to his experiences.
To end this long ass post:
This is for all the people who constantly dunk on Wyll and exclude him in favor of the other origin companions:
Tumblr media
Also learn how to be normal and not loser shitheads about black/brown/characters of color or i'm materializing right behind you and throwing a brick at your head. :)

Criston Cole deserves better. Fuck Rhaenyra.
https://www.tumblr.com/a0random0gal/726526376463745024/hot-take-but-i-personally-think-all-the-criston?source=share
*EDITED POST* 12/14/23
A)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
B)
Primarily, it's the green stans not accepting the Dance is a tale of misogyny, and of they can get Criston's predatory behavior justified through him being PoC (which he is not, and even if he was Dornish, the Dornish are not PoC), they can argue that his lowborn, PoCness & whatever racism he experiences at court has made his rise into highborn "white" circles that much harder. And that it makes him more vulnerable to Rhaenyra's white privilege. Meanwhile, we all saw the episode where he never really pushed to leave AND he thoroughly enjoyed and enthusiastically participated in the one-night stand. His struggle was more between his desire and his vows of celibacy, Rhaenyra did not force him or threaten hi with either words, actions, or looks. That's not how SA goes even with women against men.
So, the implication is that if a PoC man seeks to rape or SA or even just to demand sex, bc white women can & have called out rape to avoid censure or punishment themselves, it's fine if it's a white woman being made the victim or being demanded to give herself to the man regardless of her personal feelings, aspirations, limitations, psyche, desires. And/Or, in this case, the man's flawed need to "prove" something through that sex and marriage. Regardless of who these people are and what kind of person Rhaenyra SHOWS herself to be instead of mere racial guesswork overriding what we see of her on screen and what Criston himself would have known after years of guarding her closely.
C)
After that user said: "I'm 100% certain that if the genders were swapped almost everyone would side with him.", I knew what I was getting:
Rhaenyra didn't "make" him do anything, she quite literally doesn't have the ability to take that new level of risk.
Criston Cole, his relationship with Rhaenyra, AND their sight together/how it happened cannot be compared to a modern-day boss-employee-relationship/sexual harassment sort of sex-reversed MeToo! situation AND the writers really tried to make Rhaenyra the one in psychological control over Criston when canonically there' isn't much evidence to support that, and this is very suspicious.
So much protest using the "if the genders were reversed", and yet no acknowledgment or breakdown of what their respective unique positions are. A male heir =/= a female heir (even if there were female monarchs before, check out real history for how medieval people regarded female rulers if they didn't happen to be very "good" ones) AND women cannot be knights (Brienne is not a knight...yet, and this is YEARS after the Dance) so they can't be Kingsguard.
A Kingsguard has more room to defend themselves over any nonroyal/royally-favored woman or even an ordinary noblewoman whose caught in such a situation. This hierarchical society is built on making gender, class, etc. essential differences that grant individuals privileges over others. Due to Criston's reputation, maleness, and his true "boss" being Viserys--Viserys is quite literally EVERYONE'S BOSS, including Rhaenyra--AND how Rhaenyra's own mired reputation can be ruined a lot easier than a male heir/she could be seen as more unworthy for the throne then if she were male, he, Cole, has way more advantages & leverage than a woman actually corned by a male higher-ranking noble/royal.
Criston is also still of a minor house himself--House Cole of the Stormlands, not Dorne--he is still an aristocrat with misogynist aristocratic expectations of a noblewoman.
See what I mean in that we can't really equalize these situations?
Therefore, Cole definitely wanted to have sex with Rhaenyra and was very willing to sully his own cloak. His asking her to run away with him so that he can try to get rid of his buyer's remorse without thinking that royals/noble have lovers (who can be from a myriad of ranks--"lower", "equal", "higher") is ridiculously self-contradictory and selfish.
Also, this crap about "if the genders were reversed" is silly because it usually is used to make as if gender violence is the exact same as sexual violence against men when it never is, and as long as we live in a society where enough people think a woman's body is never totally her own, it never will be.

about Ishigami, his growth and Miko's role
Tumblr media
most people, myself included, thought at some point that Tsubame's rejection (or acceptance) could wrap up Ishigami's arc and even his past's flashbacks neatly, but Osaragi's arc suddenly revealing there was more to his relationship with Miko made me reflect more and think nah...if anything we're halfway there. It also showed glimpses of him already struggling to find his place in the world by quitting his clubs, even though he was successful at them and there was no Ootomo incident yet to undermine his self-image.
It seemed odd that despite everything he went through he still has his "hair=shield/averting eyes" theme going strong, but it makes sense if you consider even though Tsubame helped him see the way to be more accepting of people and cleared his name, his self-esteem still is super low. I spoke of this in my "sutera" meta, but to Ishigami, his life still has been a sucession of failures and almosts. At his core, he still hasn't fully opened up to people or learned to use his vulnerabilities to his advantage.
If I have grabbed your interest thus far, keep reading for more considerations!
Tsubame is kind to anyone and attempted to do good for him, but ultimately he was never fully himself around her, nor she tried/he alllowed her reaching out to the deepest parts of his insecurities. She doesn't show her own flaws to him either and to this day we get the feeling we don't know her well, just the best parts that Ishigami wanted to see. Kaguya, Miyuki and Chika contribute a lot in a sibling-like way, but there's a limit to how much Kaguya in particular can inspire him. Miko however, has scratched a little beneath the surface and has expressed an interest in helping him with that, even if he himself is still avoiding the topic. She's also more relatable to him in the sense that the rest of the stuco has a history of successes in their lives, while he was able to watch Miko's hardships and failures closely. Their panic attacks even look similar and they're always watching the other to provide backup (in a very roundabout way, at least before) when they happen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While their personalities are fundamentally different, his arc and struggles remind me a lot of Miyamura from Horimiya and today, as I was musing on what is so different about them as of now, I believe it's how Miyamura didn't have a single *traumatic* mistake to get over, so he goes down his development road much faster. Putting it another way, it's ultimately that Ishigami hasn't yet learned to be kind to himself like Miyamura has through Hori. Like Shirogane and Kaguya are through themselves. In Miyamura's case, sympathizing with how Hori despite her strong exterior can be very fragile inside but still support him (fight for him, defend him, accept his true self, not judge him, hear him, make him feel good enough) made him feel compelled to grow stronger to protect her back.
Miko as she was at the beggining of the story couldn't provide Ishigami this sort of stability (and that's where Osaragi's "prettier story"/"you weren't there for him" reasoning fails) even if deep down she wanted to, but now after making many mistakes, learning from them and becoming more flexible, she absolutely can. Both Ishigami and Miko have deeply rooted issues that took them more than just each other to flesh out and develop, but they're very much the missing puzzle piece the other needs.
Miko still very much has room for growth as well, mainly concerning finding a middle ground between her "bad girl" and "good girl" personas that Ishigami can easily see through, as demonstrated by the consolation chapter. She tried being "bad", she attempted lying but was still saying half-truths, because her love of justice isn't just out of parental abandonment issues or loneliness - she does believe them sincerely. The moment Ishigami headpated her and shared genuine, spot-on words of concern and admiration (thus a hint of fondness), it was all over for her trying to keep up the love-warfare upper hand.
That's not actually new - Ishigami has always demonstrated he was able to see glimpses of her true self, be it teasing how she's an otaku or a closet pervert and such, he never fully bought the strait-laced image she aspired to make real. But it did take him being around her more to see she could be sweet to him and as he puts it, that smiling more is not a bad look on her. Miko says to Osaragi your true self only comes through interacting with others, so given how lonely she has always been (and how the one person close to her - Osaragi - was actually keeping things between them superficial because of her own problems), it's no surprise she's only finding out now who she is. Ishigami can help Miko find a better compromise of good/bad after both not following any rules at all for so long and recently learning that hard work can pay off. Miko immersing herself in his hobby will clash with her rigid study schedule sooner or later, and he'll know how to help her with that better than anyone else.
On the other hand, Ishigami's moral compass, romanticism (love for flowers, planing dates etc) and idealism aren't things he is proud of...yet. He protects himself with layers of cynism, especially in his first appearances, but he is always being contradictory and letting it slip how idealistic/pure he is at heart. He also is only now learning to like his outward image with things like fitness/studying and finding out it's not like he never cared about it - it's just that he was scared shitless of failure, thus never even tried hard in the first place to avoid being hurt. And as I have advocated for in the Sutera post, I expect Miko in some level to help him come to terms with seeing good in himself. Heck, even being able to game with her now and showing off how good he is and having her appreciate it is gonna do wonders to make him feel more "adequate". Tsubame's arc had a lot of him changing himself to become "better", but Miko on the other hand is trying to put herself in HIS shoes to maybe go "hey, I like you as you are. I'm trying to understand you more and put effort in for you".
Ishigami and Miko start out watching out for each other behind their backs - which instead of helping their relationship, drives them further apart because they think the other side is showing no appreciation. As the story progresses, they're slowly learning to make each other more aware of their support, and it is making them open up more in general.
They have a strong belief the other wants to be rescued and there is truth in that. Both want help and to be recognized for their efforts, but won't cry out for it. In the unplugged earbuds chapter Ishigami takes it upon himself to protect Miko's reputation in spite of himself, the election arc has him actually putting effort into the campaign just for the sake of protecting her and at first posing as a rival of hers to Shirogane only to reveal he's trying to "make Miko smile", he is constantly fending off men from interacting with her as protection (while also sounding jealous), he was way more protective of her when she was wearing that cast than needed and is now being able to openly headpat her and sounds almost like her "soothing sounds" from the days of yore lol Sure Tsubame seems like his start to becoming "a better man", but all the way back on the election, it was for Miko's sake that we first SEE him putting effort into *anything* without being coerced by anyone to take action.
And while it's more discreet compared to Ishigami's "white knight" attitude, Miko also tries hard to protect him - cheering him on during the sports festival race and wanting to console him before the stuco intervened, telling him he should study (but he thinks it's just nagging), christmas (which I'll elaborate bellow), making sure he was able to graduate middle school by actually confronting school staff and, of course, their very first meeting as recently revealed.
Many people hated the entirety of Osaragi's arc, but 232 gave very juicy info indeed. Ishigami's reason for supporting Miko from the shadows comes from admiration AND part gratitude for her attempting to talk to him and listen to what troubles him, and seeing they actually had a "falling out" argument was game changing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He looks sad and troubled to have shut her down there, not simply angry, and so does she (there's tears in her eyes when her face is shown in the next page) - despite her black and white sense of justice at this point of the story, she still wanted to listen to him. And even after that outburst she still believed the rumors weren't real, unlike Osaragi sees it - otherwise she wouldn't have made the effort for him to be able to move on to high school. Why would she care, if she truly hated him and thought he was in the wrong?
If any further proof was needed at all that this info is important, I'm happy to say we have more. I noticed the Christmas stairs scene mirrors this exact falling out moment: "Go away"/"Suit yourself"
Tumblr media
But this time Miko had already decided to change, had already seen the mess their relationship became the last time she did not reach out to him and thus already had their previous falling out in mind - meaning she decides to chase after him.
Tumblr media
I don't like how the scanlations handled this scene because reading the japanese raws, my interpretation was that Miko was sounding "annoying" because she was still kinda drunk/unfiltered and freaking out when talking to Ishigami, not outright berating him like the Jaimini's box translation made it look like. She also sounds too angry after the fall, so I generally thought Viz's version (the panel shown above) was closer to the original.
"I always have to take care of you! You keep putting youself in danger. You can't make it on your own." is a better translation than Jaimini's, and also parallels better what Ishigami is often telling Miko as well (That she keeps putting herself in danger and that he has to be around to keep her in check). But with 232 in mind, I think it misses a nuance of the original line: "ほんとあんは 私が居ないと危なっかしく駄目ね" - "Honto anta wa watashi ga inaito abunakkashiku dame ne" - while I'm a novice at japanese studies, gathering from what I can read and trying to get a feel of the whole sentence, it's closer to "So it really is dangerous to you if I'm not there/ It's no good if I'm not around you". You can take that as her being full of herself, which is the route Jaimini's goes ("You'd be screwed without me") but that's too hostile - Viz's got the spirit of wanting to protect him better, but the original has an implication that she has "tested not being there"/failed being there before (due to not fully siding with him in middle school) that's absent elsewhere.
IMO the reason Ishigami's "closed his eyes" arc is not over yet is because he hasn't accepted or gotten over or fully learned from his past yet, he simply shut it down. That's why briefly during the sports festival his eyes are in plain view, then go back to their usual for the balloon gag. I'm not sure if Ootomo herself will make a comeback, may or may not - regrets are regrets and sometimes the only solution to them is letting them stay in the past. But the topic of how he saw Miko in middle school and the letter certainly are being set up to still show up in the story.
Tumblr media
If I compare him to Miyamura again, he'd still be at the point before Miyamura's haircut - not wanting to face the parts of himself he doesn't like, not quite ready to change. Not quite ready to patch up his own wounds yet and instead silencing everything from his past.
In this sense, Miko does wonders to make him feel more confident even if he hasn't realized it yet, and she's always dropping little hints she'd like him to worry about his future not in a naggy way, but because she genuinely prays for his success. He unconsciously wants Miko to think well of him and it fills him with confidence and a more prideful image of himself he doesn't really display to anyone else, not even Tsubame - like his usages of "ore" (a more manly/confident way of addressing himself) around her (AND HER ALONE):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
( I don't like the available translations to the staircase scene either, lol. Zaibatsu has conveyed the tone of the second scene up there perfectly. For the staircase line, I've seen "I'll be there to catch you" and "I'll save you" which are contextually correct, but to me the original "俺が絶対守る" - "I (ore) will absolutely protect you" carries a much more romantic nuance or ambiguity, regardless of him realizing it at that point. It's like, the title to one of the most romantic moments/songs in the CCS Clear card anime ost, for instance. OF COURSE MIKO LOVES HIM. The narrator doesn't overexplain or take apart Ishimiko's interactions like for Prezguya, but all the evidence needed is there. And I gotta add the very next chapter to the staircase one is the "eternal love" x "real love" I'm super fond of that says fate is irrelevant and to find real love you must use your head to realize/understand things, so makes the romantic subtext even greater.)
This whole affair is also making me open my eyes that I should try to study japanese more...of course I'm happy to have translations and scanlators working hard, but there is something inherently lost in adaptations because it robs you of connecting with the author's intentions unless it was the author who wrote the translation in the first place
Thinking back on Ishigami's early "i wanna die/i'm going home/don't look at me" role, it seems unbelievable we're at the point he's now able to directly confront a "stranger" (lololol) or make serious promises with so much confidence.
PLEASE DON'T END SO SOON MANGA, I NEED MORE.
( off-topic kind of, but i'm lazy to make a separate post just for it: Since I mentioned things lost in translation, I saw something on Discord about Ishigami having an unreliable narrator moment in the "compliments" chapter/Iino Miko cannot love part 4 and holy molly, it is true. He first says something akin to "You're just too beautiful" out of context, Miko HEARS IT - and that's why she looks so shocked before asking for clarification - and he DID SAY IT in the speech bubble, but after she's nice to him and he thinks back to what he said he adds a "Your handwriting is just too beautiful" to his flashback. I'm ONTO HIM. ONTO HIM I SAY. It is what he meant, but it's like his mouth betrayed him. Whether it's unconscious or denial...it totally is something. The scanlation completely skips this and had the same line both times it's mentioned.)

8 Thoughts on GOT 8X06 - The Bittersweet Ending
I might be lit up in flames for saying this, but I didn't hate the ending? Granted I was ready to be disappointed, but I think it wrapped up everything the way it promised to wrap it up, despite the shit season its riding up behind.
1. Daenerys Targaryen's ending
Dany spent so long trying to get a throne that wasn't hers, on behalf of a family she didn't get a chance to know, for a cause that didn't stand.
Tumblr media
Daenerys would've never stopped fighting, because there would always be bad men to burn, whether they knew it or not. There was always going to be a reason to make people into the bad guy. Like the kids she burnt, and the ones she would've burnt.
It hurts because she wasn't a bad person. She was a good person whom circumstances soured, but at least she can rest now.
2. Jon Snow's ending
Tumblr media
It's no secret how much I LOATHE Jon Snow. I think all Stark men are absolute peanut heads and their moral absolutism keeps getting them into shit.
That being said, Duty is the death of love and I loved that they brought the phrase back because it's exactly what I assumed he was thinking. Jon lost the woman he loves over a throne he didn't want, because she thought him a threat. He wanted away from the Wall, and he has to go back because that's how you get a hateful ending, but he can go to the true North now. He even gets ghost because they both belong beyond the wall.
I won't justify the stupid writing decisions that were made to get him here, and I won't admit people have a reason to hate what they did to him. But honestly what's worst for Jon than losing all you gained, but getting to return to your true home anyways.
3. Arya Stark's Ending
Tumblr media
Arya Stark, the princess who was promised. Arya Stark who looks death in the face and says not today. Arya Stark who wanted to go home.
I appreciate the way they wrapped up her story because to do anything else would've promised that, eventually, they would've sacrificed her character and her sense of self to marry her off, or rule over a castle, or something like that.
She's wanted to know what's West of Westeros for the longest time, and much as she wanted to come home and avenge her family, this is both bitter and sweet. Arya Stark will get to see the world, and be herself.
3. Tyrion Lannister's ending
Tumblr media
Bran said it best. He thought he was clever and he made a lot of mistakes, and he'll spend his life paying for them. He told Shay once that these people were what he did best. This power hungry city and the people in it.
But he's gone past that because power killed people and power corrupted a woman he believed in so deeply he let her worst flaws go on behalf of believing in her.
So now, he gets to live in the city he had a hand in burning, fixing the Kingdoms he played a hand in destroying, for a King he had a hand in crowning. And unknown in the story of the fight he had a hand in playing out. Seems fitting for the hand of the King?
4. Daenerys' troops ending
Tumblr media
This is a virtue of shitty writing, but the Dothraki and the Unsullied ended up being war criminals. They killed innocents, and prisoners, all in the name of Daenerys Targaryen.
She's gone now. They have no place in Westeros because without Daenerys they've got nothing here. So they lose their Queen, and their purpose here, but they get to go home.
Grey Worm who lost so much in the end, and lost his humanity, held on to Missandei's last wish and got to take his men to a peaceful place, where they can live it out.
Grey Worm doesn't get what he deserved after years of loss and pain, but he can fulfill Missandei's last wish.
5. Brandon Stark's ending
Tumblr media
I'll admit I didn't see that coming? Again, granted, probably the virtue of shit writing but I digress.
Maybe Bran didn't want the Lordship of Winterfell because it was his mission to gun for something bigger? Maybe this is the rightful ending to the struggle life of the Stark family? But who better to rule a kingdom than the one person who can see every injustice and truly punish the guilty and reward the good?
Brandon didn't want power, but maybe the best man to sit on the Throne is the one who doesn't want it. He also gave independence to the North and I live for that.
6. Ser Brienne's ending
Tumblr media
Brienne lived her life for duty. She served the Starks because duty to Catelyn compelled her to, and then proved herself worthy of everything by being the most kickass knight in the Seven Kingdoms.
But she lost the man she loves, and now she gets to write the end of his story, including the part about Cersei, and she'll live out her life protecting the Stark King. Podrick lived to serve by her side in the end, and I'm glad he got knighted (though I am almost 100% sure Brienne did it and I would've loved to see that).
Brienne gets to be a knight, the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, Kingsguard for a King who is good and just. Just not the King she wanted. And she survived through insurmountable odds, but lost the man she loves.
7. Sansa Stark's Ending
Tumblr media
Sansa Stark, first of her name, the Red Wolf, and the Queen in the North.
MAN I'VE BEEN CALLING THIS FOREVER! THIS IS WHAT VINDICATION LOOKS LIKE!!!!
Honestly I've got nothing but happiness that this is a thing. They fiddled the least with Sansa's story in this shitty season, so I 100% believe she deserves this. Sansa's been telling people what they're doing wrong and that they should listen to her. And yet nobody does.
Sansa had the piece of mind to make sure Bran knew, in PUBLIC, that she loves him but the North fought for its freedom and it deserves its freedom.
Nothing feels better than hearing a room of men chant for the Queen in the North, after so many Kings in the North (especially because the ones we've seen were well meaning morons).
8. Game of Thrones' ending
Tumblr media
(lmao anyone notice they told us from the start with the Raven on the seat? Sorry just thought it was funny)
Shitty writing decisions aside, the Game of Thrones was the story of the ruling families of Westeros fighting for a throne.
It was the story of the Stark family, the family that lost everything to love and duty and had to fight to get it back. It was the story of the Targaryen family that conquered Kingdoms and held them by fear, and lost the favor of the throne. The Lannister's who could buy the world with their gold until the gold and the power ran out. The Baratheon's who blindly followed orders, no matter who or what other factors were in the way.
And now, there's no more Throne to fight for.
The Targaryen's are dead, except for a Bastard in exile.
The Baratheon's are dead, except for an unknown and unprepared Bastard.
The Lannister's are dead, except for the imp son who may as well be a Bastard.
And the Starks live in the end. The King of the 6 Kingdoms, the Hero of the World,The Queen in the North and a man who is finally free.
At the end of the day, the Starks who lost everything for the Throne are now the ones who won the game, and that feels like the most poetic justice in the world.
Final Thoughts
I've taken this season at face value. For the effort of the cast, the crew, and the amazing story they brought to life. The writers and their decisions aside, these people took on a titanic job and delivered the most amazingly acted and visually gorgeous story they could.
So Thank You, Game of Thrones, for the last 10 years of my life. Thank you for the theory fodder, and the ending that I can't entirely hate, and the characters that have shaped my life.
Thank you for a strong Sansa. A just Daenerys. A loyal Jon. A brave Arya. A wise Bran. A clever Tyrion. A dutiful Brienne. For every character that was not black and white and played the game. For the characters that left early but made this story so important.
Thank you, GoT. Despite your final flaws, you went out fighting.
Thank you.

BONUS GHOST REACTION

Ah hello! I'd like a match up from all three games, if that's alright. I do like both genders. I'm female and isfj. I can be a little shy and quiet, in large groups. With the people I know, I'm friendly and more confident. I always work hard,I'm intelligent, and I enjoy helping people. My flaws include being too hard on myself, getting lonely more easily and trying too hard to be strong for others so I end up breaking down emotionally. (1)
In terms of interests I like flowers, rainy days, taking walks, cuddling and fashion. I don’t mind if my s/o doesn’t share those interests. I dislike people who think in terms of black and white and those who hurt the weak. I’d like to be able to support my s/o and be someone they can rely on and open up to. I’d like a s/o who makes me feel safe. Maybe someone who’d appreciate my abilities and who’d look after me in turn, a life long companion. Thank you again!(2)
Wow, you and I have a lot in common! Always cool when that happens ☺️ Hope you enjoy your matchups!! 💗
Nohr: Xander
🤴You quickly find yourself developing a crush on Xander, falling deeper into it with each moment you spend time with him.
🤴Your favorite thing about Xander is his ability to help you feel included and welcomed, no matter how shy you may be in a given situation.
🤴He often seeks advice from you, since he tends to see things as black and white only. However, your perspective always encourages him to think about the grey too, and thus you help him improve his character.
🤴In turn, Xander helps you become more confident in sharing your ideas with others in group settings, and to be more assertive of them as well. When you speak to groups and he’s there, he’s honestly your biggest supporter.
🤴You two will have had feelings for a while before someone takes the initiative to confess, as you both wanted to save it for the right moment.
🤴Xander soon finds himself spending more and more of his leisure time with you where the two of you often take long walks together through the castle garden.
🤴It’s on one of these walks that he spills it all and confesses that he’s loved you for a long time. He tells you this when a storm suddenly hits while you’re walking and talking, and you’re stuck sitting outside with each other in a garden gazebo desperately trying to keep warm and dry.
🤴You’re so happy in that moment that you suddenly give him a quick kiss on the lips, but apologize when you see a dumbfounded look on his face. He shakes his head, kisses you back, and flashes a rare smile at you.
🤴You practically melt as Xander holds both of your hands and tells you how he promises to always protect you, and to be at your side for support. His voice is shaking, partly because of the cold and partly because of his nervousness, but he means what he says.
🤴It’s a given that the two of you support each other through everything, big or small. You often hold hands under the table during counsel meetings or at royal banquets, and always talk things through if something is stressing you out or making you upset.
🤴Even though his princely duties take most of his time up, Xander is sure to always leave little reminders to let you know that you’re always on his mind.
Hoshido: Kaze
💐Your first real conversation with Kaze seems rather unfortunate at first—he catches you at a bad time, and goes to see if he can comfort you while you cry and break down because you’ve been strong for too long.
💐At first you’re embarrassed, and apologize profusely to him for crying. He refuses to accept it, saying you did nothing wrong. You then let it all out, confessing to him through broken sobs all your troubles. He hears you out, and even offers you his shoulder to cry on.
💐If there’s anything Kaze is good at, it’s his way with words. He knows just what to say that’ll cheer you up, and is also completely genuine about it too.
💐Ever since that moment shared between you two, you’ve become more comfortable around each other. Whenever you see each other in passing, one of you strikes up a conversation with the other and you end up talking for much longer than you planned to.
💐Your feelings for one another grow because of these passing interactions—as you get closer to one another, you find that you each adore the kind of person that the other is.
💐Kaze makes the first move by confessing to you. He figures it’s time, and, judging by the way you act so shyly around him, he’s certain you like him back.
💐His confession is simple and straightforward, yet sincere and romantic. Of course he presents you with a bouquet of flowers, being the traditionalist he is, and a prepared speech that took him weeks to perfect.
💐It’s such a rare sight for anyone to see the alaays-suave Kaze blushing and stumbling over his own words, but it’s an adorable one nonetheless.
💐Serving the royal family occupies most of Kaze’s time, so whenever you do have down time together he always tries to make sure you’re happy and comfortable.
💐Kaze also has a habit of gathering bouquets of wildflowers to surprise you with, and also loves to tuck a flower behind your ear.
💐He absolutely loves to cuddle with you, and to also take long walks with you around town. You both love walking around in the morning when it’s empty, or at sunset when the bustle of the day is over.
💐Kaze is very protective over you, and has definitely helped you out when you were in trouble a few times. He puts his ninja skills to use when checking up on you, and to catch unsuspecting criminals off guard should they dare to harass you.
💐In the future, Kaze helps you open up a flower shop, complete with a garden in the back for you to gather your flowers from. He enjoys helping you out at the shop, and will squeeze in as many visits as he can if he’s away on duty.
Awakening: Sumia
🎂You and Sumia have very similar personalities—both of you are shy and quiet, hardworking, and determined to help others. That being said, the two of you get along well because of these commonalities.
🎂You first start having feelings for one another after one fateful rainy day. Sumia was running about, doing errands while trying to shield herself from the downpour. You happened to see her, and, ended up sharing an umbrella with the Pegasus knight.
🎂Curious, you asked her what she was running around in the rain for. Sumia has cheerfully replied that she had been helping relay some supplies on behalf of the army. You later found out from someone else that nobody but she had volunteered to take this job in the pouring rain, which really impressed you.
🎂Sumia surprised you a few days after you met in the rain with a cake, as she wanted to show you how grateful she was to you for sharing an umbrella.
🎂You try to refuse it, telling her that sharing an umbrella was no big deal. The two of you end up sharing the cake, after much insistence on your part.
🎂As you ate you ended up delving into more personal topics, chatting away as though you were old friends.
🎂When the conversation came to a standstill, you two sat in a peaceful silence before you piped up and asked her if she’d like to do this again sometime. Sumia couldn’t be happier to accept, since she was thinking of the same thing.
🎂After several lovely meetings later, the two of you make your relationship official. The two of you are in a happy, sweet and supportive relationship.
🎂You definitely have one another’s backs in any given situation, and are each always quick to cheer one another up whenever necessary.
🎂Sumia is definitely someone you feel comfortable confiding in, since she is so understanding and kind. Though she doesn’t always have a whole lot of confidence when giving you advice, Sumia usually ends up successfully helping you think through your dilemmas.
🎂If you need to clear your head, Sumia is always down to give you a Pegasus ride. You two love riding off into the sunset, laughing and enjoying one another’s company.

Conversation
A voltron Royalty! Au Prompt
This is a conversation between Keith Kogane and yourself, Prince!Lance.
Prince!Lance: Lance sat in the courtyard, lazily swinging a sword about while he watched the knights practice. Occasionally he'd make note of a flaw and jot it down, so he wouldn't make a mistake if he ever had to fight.
Keith Kogane: "Your majesty? What are you doing out here? You know it's not safe to be outside with all of the threats Zarkon has been making." Keith said walking up behind Lance, watching the Prince's sword move swiftly through the air.
Prince!Lance: Lance looked up at the sound of Keith's voice."I wanted to watch. It's too hot inside." He replied, rolling his eyes. These days everyone was ultra protective of him. Keith was at least more lenient than the others. Most of the time anyway.
Keith Kogane: Keith shrugged "I suppose it is hot inside. Mind if I watch with you?" Keith asked hesitantly. He felt bad for Lance, always being locked up in the castle. They treated him like a bird that would fly away if it got out of its cage. "I mean...if you would like, I can go back inside. I don't want to bother you." Keith said quickly.
Prince!Lance: Lance smiled."No, please, stay." He replied, shuffling over and patting the spot beside him. The knights in front of him had yet to say anything. Though Shiro, the head knight, was rather pleased that his younger brother and the prince got along as well as they did.(Lance is so polite in this au, it's kind of funny)
Keith Kogane: Keith nodded and sat next to Lance, making sure not to get too close in case he made the prince uncomfortable. "Why do you like watching the knights so much? This is the fifth time I've found you out here." Keith questioned, watching his older brother train with the rest of the knights. Keith glanced at Lance out of the corner of his eye and smiled.
Prince!Lance: Lance looked back at the nights."Well, honestly for learning purposes. Everyone thinks I'm this sort of dainty little prince who can't defend himself. And since Dad refuses to let me actually learn how to fight properly, I just come out and observe really." He put his sword on his lap."This is honestly more for decoration than actual use."
Keith Kogane: Keith smiled. "Prince Lance. I think it's...cool that you come out here and watch to learn. It shows dedication, and I know your not a 'dainty little prince' but your father doesn't want you to get hurt. I...I don't want you to get hurt either. So, please don't do something stupid, and be careful with your sword. It's pointy." Keith said with a small smirk at the end as he teased the prince. He so badly wanted to help Lance learn to fight but he knew his orders from the king.
Prince!Lance: (Sorry, I was afk) Lance blushed at Keith's words. Though at the end he chuckled."Yeah, I, uh, I guess so." He put the sword down."...I...I don't want to see you get hurt either. I mean, with all that you've already been through, with Zarkon and all, not to mention Shiro, it's kind of easy to worry about you Keith." He said. What he didn't know was that Pidge and Hunk were watching the two of them from Pidge's room, both smiling and wishing they had a way to document this.
Keith Kogane: Keith looked down at his lap and shrugged. "I don't need anyone to worry about me. I can worry about myself. You're a prince, you shouldn't worry about some lowlife like me." Keith said taking a deep breath and looking back up towards Shiro and the rest of the knights.
Prince!Lance: Lance frowned at that."Lowlife? Keith, you do realize where we are right now, right? And the fact that you've literally almost defeated Zarkon, which even Alfor himself couldn't do. And of course I'm gonna worry about you, I worry about all my friends." Lance protested.
Keith Kogane: Friends. Keith hated that word, especially when it comes from Lance. "Right. Well, I think I hear...Hunk? calling for me. If you need anything your majesty, you know where I usually am." Keith muttered, standing up. He nodded at Lance before his shoulders sagged and he began to walk away.
Prince!Lance: Lance blinked. Had he said something wrong? He frowned at that, and sighed. He started drawing in the dirt with his sword, trying to forget the look on Keith's face. Meanwhile, Pidge and Hunk were rushing to meet Keith. The Chef and the princess had been shipping Keith and Lance ever since the long haired boy had been assigned to the prince."What are you doing?!" Hunk stood in front of Keith, Pidge at his side.
Keith Kogane: Keith blinked in surprise at Hunk and Pidge. "What do you mean, 'what are you doing?!' I didn't even do anything!" Keith said in defense as he stepped back at the closeness of the duo.
Prince!Lance: Pidge gently pushed Hunk back."You're supposed to protect my brother, right? Right. You want to also spend time with him because it's obvious you like him, right? Right. So, I suggest you forget about pining for a little while and go do that." Hunk had to butt in. "Just not right now. Since he looks almost as rejected as you at the moment."
Keith Kogane: Keith scoffed. "What! I don't- I don't like Lance. He's a prince. It'd never work out anyways. Plus, he doesn't like me!" Keith said crossing his arms, looking away with a slight blush on his face. "I'm pretty sure he has a thing for that princess he met at the ball a few nights ago anyways...." Keith said with a pout.
Prince!Lance: Pidge and Hunk looked at each other, then back at Keith, then back at each other."He's hopeless." Pidge threw her hands in the air."He's utterly hopeless." She sighed and rubbed her eyes. Hunk looked at Keith."Keith, that princess was Allura, who has specifically expressed disinterest on account of the fact that she's too old for him and has a thing for your brother." He explained."And yes of course he likes you! He's practically shooed everyone else except us away, and he barely talks to us anyway. You're really the only one in the castle he frequently talks to. And don't even try to deny that you don't like him. And I hardly think that Lance would care about the fact that he's a prince."
Keith Kogane: Keith gaped. "Uh...Princess Allura of Altea? Princess Allura has a thing for...for Shiro?! As in Takashi? As in my older brother?" Keith asked with wide eyes. "A-and...Lance probably just has a hard time making friends. I'm constantly with him because I was assigned to guard him, that's the only reason he even talks to me.." Keith said in denial, glancing out to the courtyard where Lance still sat.
Prince!Lance: Now it was Hunk's turn to throw his hands up in the air."Not only is he hopeless, he's also utterly oblivious!" He raked his hands through his hair, and Pidge calmed down."Yes. YEs she does, but that is not important right now. What is important, is that I convinced dad to assign you to him because you two were both pining messes. And Yeah, Lance does have trouble making friends, but he's literally my brother, and has been friends with Hunk since he was 3. So I don't think that has anything to do with it. And he would talk to you outside of duty, except he'd be a blubbering mess otherwise."
Keith Kogane: "I- I don't know how to approach him! I get nervous cause he has pretty eyes and a nice smile! Look at me compared to him! How am I, a literal cheesestick looking Baffoon, supposed to talk to a prince that looks like he's a god? Hmm? Tell me what I'm supposed to do!?" Keith whined adding a lot of dramatic and frantic hand waving and flailing into his speech.
Prince!Lance: Pidge and Hunk facepalmed, and dragged him to Pidge's room. They locked the door and put Keith on the bed."Alright Kogane, listen up, you are not a cheese-stick looking Baffoon, Lance is not a god. He may be a prince but he's not a god. WE can't boost his ego that much." Pidge started." You are going to change out of what you're wearing, put on something relatively nice, comb your hair, wash your face, all that jazz, and you are going to talk to my brother!" She was shaking his shoulders by now, and Hunk had already brought a comb.
Keith Kogane: "Wait, what?! No! What does relatively nice mean? What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Keith panicked standing up quickly. "Why do I have to wash my face? What's wrong with my hair?"
Prince!Lance: "Relatively nice as in you don't want to look like you dressed up specifically for him or else you'll both become blubbering messes." Hunk replied." And what you're wearing is covered in dust because you sat in the dirt with him. And your hair is always knotted and I finally get to comb it. AS for the face washing, well, it cools down the blush." He grinned as he handed Keith the comb. Pidge was watching with great amusement.
Keith Kogane: Keith looked at the comb in his hand. "....help me pick out an outfit..." He mumbled slightly, a deep red brushing over his cheeks.
Prince!Lance: Pidge chuckled."With pleasure." She stood up."This is the most fun I've had in weeks." She grinned and went to the wardrobe. She mostly preferred shirts and trousers to dresses, so she had a great deal of hand me-downs
Keith Kogane: "Oh good god. Do I have to do this? Can't I just...disappear? Forever? That'd be easier than embarrassing myself in front of Lance." Keith groaned tossing the comb back to Hunk.
Prince!Lance: Hunk caught the comb with ease."Yes, or you'll be pining until Zarkon kills us all." He replied. As of late, that had become a common phrase. It was kind of sad to be honest. "Look, We'll get Lance ready after we get you ready, so you'll both be at the same amount of possible embarrassment." He replied, moving behind Keith and started to comb his hair back. Pidge grinned as she came forward with a red vest, a white shirt and some black pants.
Keith Kogane: (sorry, I got distracted) "what the hell is that Pidge? I'm not wearing that. I'll look...I dunno, I'll look like a monkey!" Keith said crossing his arms, looking away from the princess.
Prince!Lance: (Np :) ) Pidge looked at him."You are literally wearing a dusty, bright red, half jacket. You will not look like a monkey. Trust me, I thought I looked great in them." She flung the outfit onto the bed beside him. Hunk was almost finished with Keith's hair."Pidge, Hair tie." He told her. The princess obliged and passed one. Hunk gently pulled Keith's hair back into a ponytail."Oooooh, it looks so nice.:
Keith Kogane: Keith blushed and glanced down at the outfit Pidge grabbed for himt. "You guys suck." Keith pouted grabbing the outfit. "Give me a minute." Keith sighed, walking into Pidges bathroom. He washed his face and put the outfit on. Keith looked in the mirror and groaned. He picked up his previous outfit and walked out of the bathroom shyly. "Well? You guys happy now?"
Prince!Lance: "WE love you too buddy." Hunk patted his shoulder as he left for the bathroom. The pair of them waited patiently for the boy to come out, and were thoroughly satisfied."Ohhhh my god, oh Keith you look so niiice." Hunk had to refrain from squealing. He felt like a proud parent. Pidge simply gave a a thumbs up."Alright. Part one is complete. Now for part two." She ran out the door."Ohhh Laaaance!" She called out.(Can you be pidge just for a little bit since I"m controlling Lance? Sorry if I'm being annoying)
Keith Kogane: (Sure sure. You're fine) Pidge ran out of the room quickly and ran down to the courtyard where Lance was still sitting. "Lance! Stop sulking, I need you to come with me! I saw that little...whatever it was with Keith and decided I need to help you!" Pidge announced proudly, standing in front of her brother with a large smile on her face.
Prince!Lance: (Thank you :) ) Lance looked up at Pidge, ignoring the quiet snickering coming from the knights."Wait, what are you talking about? Help me out with what exactly? Keith just left. Nothing happened." He replied, sheathing his sword."You're delirious or something sis, from, like, how hot it is inside."
Keith Kogane: "Lance!" Pidge whined. "Everyone knows you have a thing for Keith. I'm gonna help you actually get somewhere with him so the pining stops. Seriously, it's stressful to watch." Pidge said with a smirk. "Now come on. Stand up and let's go."
Prince!Lance: Lance blushed and sputtered"I-I ,wha-wha, I.. I do not!" He protested feebly. "I'm not going anywhere with someone who just said I was stressful to watch!" He exlcaimed, bright red. Shiro walked over."Your majesties, might I help out in this?" He asked Pidge. Lance sputtered again."Wh-wha, no!"
Keith Kogane: "Yes! Please Shiro, please help!" Pidge grinned, sticking her tongue out at Lance. Pidge grabbed Lance's hand and tried to force him to stand up.
Prince!Lance: Shiro went a few steps further and picked Lance up, draping him over his shoulder."Wha, what, what are you doing, put me down, I demand you stop this at once!" Lance pounded against Shiro's back, which did absolutely nothing. Shiro only chuckled and followed Pidge."Alright boys, that's enough for today!" He called to the knights.
Keith Kogane: Pidge smirked and skipped ahead of Shiro and Lance towards Lance's room. "I've decided that your gonna dress up a bit...not too much...and your gonna go find Keith." Pidge said opening Lance's door for Shiro.
Prince!Lance: "And why would I ever to agree to that ever?" Lance replied as Shiro put him down."Because We're all very, very tired of watching you two skirt around each other like squirrels, your highness." He replied with a smirk."So Princess, what's first on the agenda?"
Keith Kogane: Pidge snickered at Shiro's response and cleared her theist slightly. "Right. First up on the agenda is hair. Lancey Lance. I don't know how you do your hair so get into your bathroom and do your damn hair. And your face." Pidge said sternly. "Yeah, go put in your face for Keith."
Prince!Lance: Lance was bright red at this point."I'm not a squirrel." He murmured. He looked up at Pidge."Why would I need to do that, my hair is already fine." He replied. Shrio reached forward and pulled out a leaf."That's why." Lance frowned, his shoulders sagging."And what's wrong with my face?" He asked. Shiro gently pushed his index finger to Lance's cheek."That's why." He pulled away a dust covered finger. Lance groaned and slumped to the bathroom.
Keith Kogane: Pidge smiled up at Shiro. "Thank you Shiro! Honestly though, I'm suprised that your helping." Pidge said plopping into Lance's bed.
Prince!Lance: Shiro shrugged."I meant what I said, My brother is a lot of things, including oblivious and scared. Lance is too and Oretty much everyone in the castle wants them together except your parents." He replied. Lance came out, his hair and face done."Okay, am I presentable now?"
Keith Kogane: Pidge shook her head. "Nope. Clothes. Change. Put on a nice outfit, something that's gonna grab Keith's attention. But not anything to extravagant. Y'know?"
Prince!Lance: Lance looked down at himself."What's wrong with what I'm wearing now?!" He exclaimed. Shiro sighed."Well for one thing, you're still covered in dust, just not in the face, and second, would you ever just wear a shirt and trousers to a date?" He asked. Lance turned bright red at that.".....I don't know what to pick." He admitted sheepishly.
Keith Kogane: Pidge walked to lances closet and scanned it quickly before she grabbed a light blue button up shirt and white dress pants. "Here Lancey. Put these on and roll up the sleeves to your elbow! And keep a few buttons open on the top!" Pidge said holding the outfit out towards Lance. "Take it. Change. Prepare yourself mentally."
Prince!Lance: Lance caught the outfit, utterly embarrassed."I'll prepare you mentally." He mumbled and went back into the bathroom, changing. Shiro smiled at Pidge."Well, this was utterly entertaining. I look forward to hearing the results your highness." He bowed and left the room. After that, Lance walked out of the bathroom and looked at Pidge."There, am I presentable now?"
Keith Kogane: Pidge took a moment to observe Lance. "Mmm....yeah. I think your good! Now stop being so sour! I'm just trying to help you! Now go, go find Keith. I'll see you later Lance~ Have fun!" Pidge said shoving Lance out of his room.
Prince!Lance: Lance reluctantly let himself be pushed. Why was he acting like this, he should be happy, he'd finally have a reason to have a non-protective conversation with Keith. He walked through the halls, already missing the sword, and tried to find his protector, only instead, to run into his father.
Keith Kogane: "Lance. What's with the outfit? Are you going on a date? When will I get to meet her?" Lance's father asked taking a look at Lance's outfit. "My son, whoever she is, she's a lucky one." The king said resting a proud hand on Lances shoulder.
Prince!Lance: Lance tensed a little."Um, y-yeah, I guess you could say that." Lance answered timidly."Th-Thanks dad." He smiled nervously and rushed past his father, darting around the corner. God, his father would probably kill him if he knew he had feelings for another man.
