It's that time again! Time to count up all the words and reflect upon the past year.
And, friends, let me just say I'm really super happy with this years numbers, probably the biggest numbers I've seen in a long time.
This year, I had a new years resolution to post at least 1 writing thing per month, no matter its finished state, thus putting out a lot of WIP Wednesdays this year.
But, along with doing all those WIP Wednesdays, I found I was finishing more writing things this year because of it and... it's kind of amazing to see the progress across this year.

I was checking my AO3 statistics just for fun. So fetch some tea and have a seat, darling. I'm gonna ramble a lot!
2020 I was already playing Ikevamp, Ikesen, Ikerev, and Obey Me, but didn't write anything for them. Well, except for that one Obey Me fanfic. I was in the BNHA fandom and wrote lots of fanfics for it. However, most of them were reposts because I had to delete my account from another site. They banned my friend, and they were targeting Kacchako writers, so I saved everything I've ever written and reposted it on AO3 and Wattpad (which meand some of these fanfics aren't from 2020 but from 2018 and 2019). At that time, I was involved in a writing project for Kacchako and one for Ochako, so it helped me to write more.
2021 I didn't post anything on AO3 because I didn't get many views there. Since everything I wrote was in portuguese, and the BNHA fandom that writes and reads in portuguese wasn't really active there. However, I posted 3 fanfics on Wattpad (if you wanna check it out, just know I'm not active there anymore). Three fanfics for a whole year. Ouch.
2022 I wrote... 3 fanfics. Again. I didn't post anything on another site; I just didn't write anything else. I stopped playing Ikevamp after they released Sebastian's route and barely opened Obey Me. So I didn't write anything, even though I read a lot and had some good ideas. It was a weird year for me... I didn't accomplish anything. I could've spent the whole year sleeping, and it would have the same result: nothing. Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound sad! It's just how I feel now that I look back and think about it.
2023 Sometimes I just write like a robot, and when I realize it, there's a whole fanfic ready to be posted. But other times, I struggle, and I spend a whole week writing a small scenario because the words just fly away from my brain, HASIHEUASIEHA. English is not my first language, and I had COVID twice, so my memory is fucked up. It was never good, but it got worse, HASIUEHAS.
These statistics aren't even for the whole year; I started writing again in October! I already had this blog in 2020, but I only reblogged. When I spent the whole year away from everything, I didn't even read here anymore. So I'm really happy and proud of everything I did in 2023! Being active here brought me some good friends (yes, all my mutuals are already my besties, and you can't run away from me! I'll chase you all if you try!) and I'm really glad to be back.
And for 2024, I hope everything gets even better! I wanna try opening requests too, but it's still an idea. I'm not sure if I should and if I'll be able to handle it HASIUHEUSAIHEA. I plan to write more (I have lots of WIPs, HELP AHSEUHSA) and to play the games I liked again (I'm already back at Ikesen!).
Hopefully, we'll all be together this new year too, simping and crying for fictional men 🤍🤍

ikevamp quarantine headcanons (with a sick MC):
(With MC having contracted the dreadful pestilence of the year 2022 AD, here are some of the guys reactions to that (with the stipulation that MC was fully vaxxed before time skip)).
Leonardo: Of course he hates to see his cara mia bedridden and is reminded how frail humans really are, especially considering the history of plagues he had read about and experienced in his long-lived existence (he puts those of Florence out of his mind...). But he is heartened to know that your symptoms are not as horrible in those of times past and admires your resilience. Though you petition him to refrain from visiting you often, he can't help but try anything he might to pamper you or aid in your recovery as careful as he is around others, assuring you with his familiar smile that a pure-blood's constitution is nothing to laugh at.
Faust: Privately, he is in shambles to see his Versuchskaninchen laid low in bed, weak but still battling this modern day disease. He can't help but try to take some isolated samples from you, in the hope he can determine a solution of his own. At the same time, he moves like clockwork (even waking up early!) to compound medicines that will reduce your fever or aid in that stubborn cough because he really does hate to see anything that makes you suffer even the tiniest amount. Being a doctor, he is familiar with treating diseases, but no matter this new challenge, he is at your beck and call, even carrying you princess-style to the bathroom and helping you out of your clothes when settling you into a warm bath.
Mozart: As someone well-known in the mansion for his diligence to being clean and orderly (stubbornly so, as you gently tease him from time to time) the famous musician is beside himself with the knowledge that there is little he can do to help you, his liebling, to feel even a modicum better. Of course, he understands that precautions have to be taken to reduce exposure, but still, he hates not being able to see your face as often as he used to or having you near. Jean is beside him giving him assurances that even doing small things are just as important. So he buries himself with bringing you whatever you may need or want, and at night he leaves the music room door open as he composes soft melodies to lull you to peaceful dreams. He tries to keep the faith that all these things will surely help in bringing you back to his side happy and healthy than you've ever been.♡

Isaac Week 2022: Birthday Wishes
Happy birthday, Isaac!
Just caught the drawing bug and really wanted to do something for Isaac week, even if it was a small thing I could do in a day.
So, the theme for today was Birthday Wishes, and I couldn't resist having my IkeVamp OCs giving him apple-themed presents. Abby gave him a framed picture of Harry and an apple that she drew herself. Thea gave him a apple scarf that he could wear when it gets cold whenever he goes out.
Isaac isn't sure how to feel, however. While he's touched to be getting handmade gifts that the girls clearly put a lot of thought and heart into...
They both gave him apple-themed presents.
Many thanks to @scummy-writes for hosting this event and I hope Isaac receives many more warm wishes on his special day.

List of Amusing Beckett Facts We Learn in the Year of the Scarab Trilogy, which I read so you don't have to (really, it's Bad Art)
About mid-March, I finished the Year of the Scarab Trilogy and…honestly, it's second worst White Wolf book I've ever read. To save everyone the pain of drudging through it, I wanted to share screenshots, but typing those up inflicted psychic damage. So, instead, here's a list of cool Beckett fun facts. If you have a specific question about the Trilogy and its plot, characters etc, my ask box is open.
Beckett gets ensnarled in the novel's plot because he wants to interview Mother Inyanga about her personal history and the history of Kindred, as she knows it. She agrees to the interview if Beckett writes a book report on the Chicago hunter community.
Beckett handles his financials through a "small, private Swiss bank" in Geneva. It's called Witz-Kohn, which I think translates to "joke?" Anyway, Manfred Von Reis handles his account. The bank wires Beckett money on demand and auto-pays off his credit card bill every month. Cuthbert has a credit card!
Beckett flies American Airlines, first class preferred. I'm guessing Cesare's character was invented later. For reference, the novels take place February 2001 to March 2001. Don't worry: there IS a prophecy-written-on-the-subway-walls-esque joke of "hehe what if an iconic American tower blew up would that be fucked up or what"
Beckett has learned "some thaumaturgical rites." Unclear how many. He uses two rituals in the book. One's a tracking spell, which he uses to find a person who previously ingested his blood. The other enchants a murder victim's finger to point at whoever murdered them. That ritual sounds creepy, and the author intended the scene to be a ~creepy blood magic~ moment. But what happens is Beckett pinky promises to avenge this dead Gangrel, and braids his own hair into a necklace, so he can wear the pinky close to the skin. That's like Addams Family wholesome, bro.
Beckett thinks email is pretty neat. He frets that laptops are too big to meld into him when he transforms, so he hasn't purchased one yet.
Beckett (on accident!) finds Menele's haven, and our Gangrel boyo just. Turns right the fuck back around. He goes through all this effort to find who's emitting this massive, looming Presence over Chicago, only to decide he will Not Mess With That, No Thank You.
Beckett lectures not once but /twice/ on how Caine can't possibly be real. He gets miffed when someone inevitably interrupts him.
Becket clarifies he's not after the Heart of Osiris (the book's MacGuffin) for power, but for knowledge. His ultimate goal is to repatriate the Heart to the Egyptian supernatural community. Once it's clear the Heart's headed to Egypt anyway, he ends his pursuit.
Beckett starts the novel with No Fear and ends the novel with One Fear that Menele's influencing his actions. Like, he has a whole crisis over it, as a treat. Given what happens in the Diary, Beckett and Chicago really don't mix well.
Beckett has a cabin in upstate New York, not far from the Stillwater Reservoir. The cabin stands on an outcropping far from the nearest road and is only accessible via game trails. The nearest town is Big Moose. Towards the end of the story, Beckett spends upwards of a month there, recovering from a weird ghost stabbing. He's cranky about it.
Beckett gets his first mobile phone in March 2001. He asked Von Reis to shop around for satellite phones, buy what Von Reis thought best, and ship the phone to Beckett at his PO Box in Big Moose. I didn't realize that was a thing you could ask a bank to do for you(?). After carefully reading the instructional booklet front to back, Beckett made his first call to Nola.
I'm mildly dazzled by Beckett's Look™️ throughout the book. He wears a sheepskin jacket, which he changes to a leather one once it gets too ratty. Of course there's the little round, red sunglasses. His hair is long enough to braid, loop around his chest to the opposite shoulder, and dangle an enchanted pinky from. Nola gives him a silver charm bracelet, which he likes aesthetically. My brain shorted out.
In the novel's epilogue, Beckett searches for hidden tomes around the fjords of Norway. The books belong to an elder Kindred, and nobody knows exactly what they're about. Theories include (a) journals of the Kindred's contemporaries from the time of Carthage's fall; (b) a translation of the precursor to the Book of Nod; (c) Lapplander mating customs; or (d) musings on vitae's powers, a treatise that might bestow insight as to where Kindreds' abilities came from and what else Kindred might be capable of. Beckett thinks (d).

Ikemen Vampire RPG [Fan-made]
Hey friends, I decided to challenge myself in June to create a short game, and what better way to do that than to bring our favorite mansion to life! This challenge was a learning experience for me to learn the basics of game dev, which I enjoyed tremendously and hope to do more of!
✨ Play as the housekeeper of le Comte de Saint-Germain's mansion, who is left alone to do as they please. But there is work to do, and the residents have left notes in their respective rooms of their requests!

Ikevamp Election 2022 - My Impressions
I was planning to write this the day after the end of the election, but I'm not gonna lie, I was so fucking tired lol.
Although I love the elections, I always get exhausted when they are over, especially now that ikeprince and ikevamp's elections were one after the other.
This time, the election was not so difficult to rank as last year (aside from the new 3 boys because it was the first time they were part of the event so their stans were probably working hard to vote a lot).
And I blame cybird for that. It doesn't make any sense to hold two elections in the same month! That's so stupid. I think some players gave up on ikevamp's election cuz they may have spent all their money ranking in ikeprince's.
Also, some players may have dropped ikevamp when they released ikeprince or they just got tired of the game. But I hope that if that was the case, ikevamp still has enough players to support the game for many more years. I don't know what I'm going to do if I lose ikevamp in the next two, three years. I need my daily dose of dopamine!
Unfortunately, last year I took just a few ss of my final ranking and the boys' final rankings. I should have taken some ss of the top 20-120 to compare with 2022's election. I'm so dumb lol.
I've played all the elections so far (the first one I had no idea what I was doing tho lmao). But I can say that Napoleon's ranking was easier because last year I had more than 800 ballots and I didn't get top 20. This year, the border for top 20 in Napoleon's ranking was 743. Which means that if that had happened last year, I would have got my Napoleon 😭
As you can see below, aside from Leo and Vlad, you could have get the hug avatar with less than 1000 ballots.
And about the prizes, I wish they could give also the suitor's avatar for the top 300. It kinda sucks that I got MC's avatar, but I don't have any avatar of Napoleon in a sitting position =/. I'll have to sit on the couch alone LMAO
Oh, and the election sets were also not that great imo. I mean, you get a plushie and a few decorations, but I wish there was a set with the plusie and a pack of tickets. All the dias I bought was just to get tickets because the other packs were useless to help me get more ballots.
I could have saved more dias at the end, but I was so traumatized by last year's election that I thought players were waiting til the last minute to send all their ballots.
Even if ikevamp is not as popular anymore, I had lots of fun in this election. I already read Napoleon's story and I really like it. I think it was the first time I saw that new background in ikevamp. I loved the setting. So fancy! It's a shame these stories are so short though. After all our effort, we deserved at least a story with part 1 and 2.

2. 5 favourites of your own work?
honestly I love majority if not all the pieces I do, and I’m not being conceited, I genuinely enjoy the entire process of making all of them. From brainstorming to research (love research the most probably), to sketching and details and linework. Flats are a bit tedious, but choosing colours and figuring out my palettes is fun and important. I love the whole process, and I always try to do something new and different to challenge myself every time I do digital work. Even if the end result isn’t what I pictured I walk away with knowing how to do something new.
IkeVamp zine pieces were just some work where I think I was at the peak of my game, and I love all 3 pieces bc they’re very different. The research was so much fun, and they marked a shift in my style where the entire piece became important, not just the subjects in it.
I had a breakdown sometime February 2021 but never underestimate the power of a ship bc Xiaolumi got me back into drawing as intensely as I had prior with an emphasis on learning how to draw backgrounds. i had a ton of fun drawing Wangshu Inn, which is my favourite location in Genshin.
2022′s LNY/Lantern Rite piece had me making subfolders for my lineart and was the most. I love it.
I’m honestly still really emotionally attached to even my early work in MysMe too, but top 5 is probably these. Honourable mention to my Vincent birthday piece bc I did try to emulate his style and it was an enormous amount of fun, Napoleon’s extremely late birthday piece that was a reinterpretation of one of his portraits, the entire Sengoku x Cyberpunk series, and my upcoming Lumine x Paolo Sebastian’s The Nutcracker series.
8. What do you like most about your own work?
That I always have a background, and at this point every time I come up with an idea, the setting is just as important as the characters in it. Any time I don’t have one I feel uncomfortable.
I relish the challenge in drawing new things. My favourite part about my digital art escapades is figuring out how to do something new and doing it, and backgrounds give me the opportunity to add any number of new things as well as work on my perspective.

Thanks for sharing the long questionnaire about IkeRev. I'm really hoping it takes a slightly more adult tone, the lore of the story has so much potential. Are there rumours of new Ikemen Games coming out to Japan? How often do they release new games?
IkeRev's lore got so much potential I just hope they continue to expand on that. There's the mention of foreign countries in Wonderland too but perhaps it won't be until Mousse's route that we get more deeds on other countries in addition to Cradle (and Land of Mirror)

If you look at the app release timeline below, you'll see that up until last year a new Ikemen Game was released annually. However, so far there's no words on any new (game) title being released.
Just my guess here, but this is most likely because of both the COVID situation as well as Cybird deciding to shift their focus to the existing titles and how to build on from those. (Ikemen Prince is speeding through with the 9th of the original 10 suitors' route announced together with 3 additional new suitor + Act 2 and it's not even 1.5 year since the app was released, IkeVamp is getting an Act 2.5, and IkeSen got the release of these "suitors' past" stories series)
Well, we did get "Ikemen Calendar" (region locked to Japan) but that's not a new game title (no we aren't getting year of the months or days of the week as Ikemens lmaooo)
It's literally a calendar app with reminders (in the suitors' voice) and alarm functions. Completely new voice lines were recorded by their voice actors just for this app.
At the moment, there are 6 available suitors to choose from. Nokto (IkePri), Tamamo (IkeGen), Arthur (IkeVamp), Ray (IkeRev), Kenshin (IkeSen), and Vlad (IkeVamp).
The service is subscription based and you need to subscribe to be able to use it.
(First 14 days is a free trial period and the subscription isn't charged until the end of that)
There are two options for the subscription plan,
480 JPY monthly (can only access 1 character. You can change to another character after 1 month have passed by but in that case, you need to wait another month before you can change back)
960 JPY monthly (can access all available characters)
Personally, I'm on the 480 JPY per month plan with Nokto chosen ever since Day 1 and haven't once changed to someone else.

The longer you subscribe, the more "secret" voice lines become available after reaching certain milestones (30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 120 days, 150 days, 180 days, 210 days, 240 days, 270 days, 300 days, 330 days, 360 days)
I'm approaching the 210 days milestone soon 👀
In addition, by opening the app daily and completing the daily missions (opening the app, setting reminders, stopping an alarm) you can raise your intimacy with the character you have chosen (intimacy max out at Lv 50) and unlock alternative outfits (sprites) and backgrounds to use for your main screen.
