The amazing Daniel Denova has come through with this incredible art of Ozrian, the Faceless! The Frigid World of Illambria will soon be updated with this artwork and some other tweaks as we prepare to add a print on demand option.

Ozrian, like the Hexbird and Arcanthum, is very special to me. These three were the player characters of a dear deceased friend. Between the three games, I have the most memories of goofing off in our evil campaign, where my friend played Ozrian.

One time, my warlock fell from a giant wooden statue. Ozrian caught him. Later when Ozrian fell in a similar way, my warlock weighed up his options and then let him hit the ground first before healing him. It was just a fun small silly ttrpg moment among many others, and it forever hurts that I won't be able to make more silly memories with my friend. But it makes me very happy to be able to keep a little part of him alive through this book, with the permission of his fiancée. I hope these characters will go on to be useful allies and intimidating antagonists in many adventures.

Sneak peek at what I've been working on! A Pleistocene inspired fantasy setting for 5E, as opposed to your traditional Holocene medieval-esque fantasy. Trying something new here in that the base species for the setting have fewer traits than most 5E species, but you can select additional traits at certain levels to customise them further. So yes, you can play as a human with an alligator tail and scales, an alligator person with mammoth tusks, or a cat person with a thick fluffy coat from mammutida (mammothfolk) heritage.

This is the biggest project I've worked on and it'll be a few more months before I can publish it, but I'm very excited about it.

Illambria Updates

Illambria stands at 52 pages, and there's still at least one adventure's worth of content to go!

The most recent addition has been Monstrous Transformation Templates, which I added last night and have been working on today. I love the lineages from Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft, and think more releases should have such interesting opportunities to fundamentally change an adventurer.

So far I've drafted:

Blood Feeder, for vampires and similar entities

Grasp of the Bog, for those who narrowly escaped death by bog mummy

Ice Mummy's Chill, for those situations where you want a little more to a character's curse than just a few saving throws

The Frigid World of Illambria: Update

This book will be released into the wild in under three weeks now. It's been a long time coming and I can't wait to share it with you all.

Illambria is a Pleistocene-inspired setting incorporating many Ice Age tropes. Bundle up warm against the effects of extreme cold as you venture into the unknown as a human, mammutida, sabertooth or alligatoi. Become a bard specialised in storytelling, a wizard who weaves, or a druid channeling powerful megafauna.

You will uncover the secrets of ancient and powerful magical items, fight off ice mummies by the Sea of Lost Souls, and learn to harvest components from the world around you to create all manner of useful items.
