Can we give boops to the spear baby?
*gives boops and rubber duckies*
this is so Lucifer coded tho you KNOW he's giving his new randomly generated grandkid both of those every time he sees them. heck he's probably combining the two and booping them WITH THE RUBBER DUCKIES
Lucifer: "Whooooo's the cutest little hell spawn in alllll creation~? Who is~?? It's you!!!"
Lucifer: (tickles their nose with rubber duck) "BOOP!"
Rubber Duck: (SQUEAKS AS IT IS BITTEN)
Lucifer: "Ohhh look at those little baby faaaaangs...~"
Charlie: "Uh.... dad?"
Lucifer: "Charlie look! The ducky! They won't let go! They LOVE it!!!"
Rubber Duck: (SHRIEKING IN TORMENT AS IT IS CHEWED ON)
Charlie: "Oh ha ha yes... S-sure they... do."
Spear baby: (GROWLS)
Charlie: "They totally love it! Right, Vaggie!?"
Vaggie: "Um...."
Spear Baby: (aggressively shaking head to snap the rubber duck's non-existent spine)
Vaggie: "...It's definitely awakened something in them."
Lucifer: "FRIENDSHIP!!!"
Vaggie: "Something."

Hello do you know when is the next chapter of letter from baji keisuke going to come out?
Yes I do! According to my calendar it's today (tomorrow????) Basically in 6 and a half hours (though the translation will typically take longer). I am both excited and terrified for it.
Pls don't die

kid, sender loses a child that they're caring for, only to end up finding them in receiver's company. —💜 Ophelia (mae! mae! mae! mae!)
first impressions!
"Dammit, kiddo, I told you to wait here…" Jamie mumbles to himself, words muffled and lost in the chatter around him. His eyes frantically search his surroundings for any glimpse of his kid in the crowd, heart pounding in his chest as he shoves his way through. The horrible pop music with its ridiculous, superficial words playing over the radio is grating on his ears and only adds to his agitation.
"Mae? Mae, sweetheart?" He calls out. "Mae… Maesy…"
His eyes dart to the escalators and the brightly lit stores around him. He's full of dread - the kind of dread only a dad who lost his poor kid in a mall could feel! His worst nightmare! The worst scenarios are already running through his brain-
He freezes when he hears a familiar voice behind him - no, two…
He turns, and immediately releases a heavy sigh of relief; a relief so strong he takes a few steps forward and simply... sits on the ground on his knees.
"Augh... dammit. Thanks.." he holds his arm out to Mae before nodding up at Ophelia. "Glad it was you who had her and not a damn boogeyman."

Letters from Watson, Catching Up
The Speckled Band, Part 1: Fun bits
- Unlike in Study in Scarlet, Holmes is noted as being a late riser. Unsure if this is because Watson is sleeping very late while recently ill, or because his habits actually changed. It’s a quarter past seven - likely anyone with a service related job has been up for an hour or two by now, but it’s not exactly business hours.
- Note that the victorian schedule for the middle and upper classes was different from ours: the widespread use of gas lighting in london dates to the late 1850s / early 1860′s. Business hours are going to be confined to the hours of daylight, with service industries that keep businesses and affluent households running squeezed in around them. Daylight Savings Time (US; 1966) and British Summer Time (UK, 1972) did not exist in the Victorian era. Non DST / BST time, (winter) is where our time matches up to Victorian time.
Doing some math: The sun rises in London at around 6:30 - 6:45 AM modernly in early april. DST and BST are in effect by April: we have “sprung forward” so a 6:45 am sunrise would be a 5:45 am sunrise if we hadn’t. Victorian time correlates to non DST / BST hours. So the sun rose at circa five thirty for Holmes and Watson.
- This is only important because Miss Helen Stoner departed for London at first light, from two hours out in the countryside, and only has about half an hour’s lead on her stepfather.
- Not many fun bits in Helen’s story but Dr. Roylott’s cheetah has to be at least as anxious as Helen and Julia. They do NOT do well in captivity.
- In a better world, Julia and Helen would have gone to live with their maiden aunt and the cheetah would get a therapy dog, and also sent to a facility with literally any knowledge of how to care for it.
