What she says: "Im fine"
What she wants to say: "One of the most ironic things in trigun is how Vash is a representation of the messiah but is treated as an omen of destruction at best and the literal devil at worse. He has seen humanity at its lowest as proof by his scars, but still chooses to be peaceful. Especially with the revalation of his powers in Trigun Stampede, this shows how he was always destined to be humanity's end. No matter what he does, he will always bring devastation with him, basically doomed despite everything he does to go against both his nature and the narative. His kindness and pacifism are a result of pure willpower and determination, this is most noticable in the manga when it was shown that he was the 'colder' betwen him and his Knives. when it was revealed that when they were younger, Nai was the one who had craved approval from humans and Vash himself being more or less indiferent. This boy was meant to be, destined to be a destroyer, whos only path was villainy. This has only made trigun even more tragic, with the knowledge that our hero, our Vash who's only desire was to co-exist with people, was meant to kill them"

A normal day in the Luthor-Danvers house.
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader
Word count: 1780.
“So then, I took my glasses off, and I swear it was not intentional, but my heat vision went off and I-I blew it right off of Lena’s hand. Man, she was pissed.” You smile and Jamie tries to hold a laughter and it comes out like a squeaky noise.
“Damn. Not a dull moment in the Karlena house.” She recovers herself and smiles to the ground while you consider what she just said.
“Karlena?” You furrow your brows, confused.
“Karlena, duh. Kara plus Lena.” She explains like you didn’t understand in the first place. That wasn’t the problem, you understood.
“What? Jamie, that’s terrible. We all know SuperCorp is like, a lot better.” You wave her off. “Besides, we do have dull moments. It’s not everyday we’re fighting aliens, destroying things or inventing things. Some days we just… Exist.”
“Oh, please. You three wouldn’t know what it’s like to just ‘exist’ if it hit you in the face.” Jamie crosses her legs and arms like she is trying to impose her thought. Sure, most of the times the things that happen with your family are not something people can relate to, but it’s not like you’re aliens… Wait. Nevermind.
“Excuse me.” You try to sound offended. “I admit we’ve been through a lot.”
“Mhm.” She strongly agrees with her head.
“But we’re still pretty much normal most of the time.”
“I think it’s cute you’re trying to convince me that, like I don’t know everything about you and your moms.” She gives a pretentious smile. “But if it will make you feel any better… Why don’t you tell me about the next ‘normal’ day you guys have?”
“Ok, mhm, sure.” You agree with your head taking this as a challenge. And you’re not one to back out from a challenge. “Next time we have a normal day, I’ll tell you all about it, and you’ll see we’re just another normal family.” As soon as your finish with the sentence, you see Maya coming at your direction and both of you just change the subject immediately.
“Hey cuties.” She says with a smile, and you push your bag to the side so you can make room for her on your lunch table. “You cool?”
You give her a nod, and a quick kiss, before looking at Jamie and thinking about the conversation. She wants normal? You will show her normal.
It is very annoying to you that it takes a whole week before you can declare one day as a normal one. And this is a normal day around your house, you know, one filled with dull moments:
“Kid, time to get up.” Kara knocks on your door serving, as always, as your wake-up call. You roll to the side, not getting up, wanting five more minutes.
And as always, five minutes later:
“Come on, babygirl. School. Let’s go.” Lena opens the door and you finally open your eyes.
“Nooo.” You complain, making Lena give you a soft smile in return.
“Yes, come on. It’s like this every day.” She doesn’t leave until you’re up on your feet despite all of your protests. “We’re leaving in 15.”
You do your entire shower-get dressed-brush teeth routine using your super speed, so you’re downstairs in less than five minutes.
“Hey, babyface.” Kara holds your face, when you’re passing through her, and she kisses your temple. “Had a good night?”
“Eh. It was decent.” You untangle yourself from her and go to the fridge. “We’re out of milk.”
“No, we’re not.” Lena’s voice comes from behind you. You turn around to look at her, all suit up. She has a maroon suit on, and her hair is tied up in a very tight ponytail. She looks very impressive which is normal for her. “Look carefully.”
“I did!” You answer and you see her coming to the fridge. She puts her hand inside and takes a carton of milk out.
“Milk, daughter. Daughter, milk.” She says ironically and you close the refrigerator door with a huff sound. “Eat fast, I have a meeting I can’t be late to.”
“You always have meetings.” You go to the table and sit next to Kara. “And you can never be late to any of them.” You pour cereal into a bowl, and then milk. “It’s like this every day.”
“Sarcasm doesn’t suit you, baby.” Kara states.
“It might not, but it does sustain me.” You open a big smile. You still eat fast, though.
Lena drives you to school. This whole driving with her started when Kara was still terrified to let you walk alone. Now, she’s a little less scared, but you kept getting ready on time, and Lena never said anything to make you believe she wants this to stop, so you just keep riding with her. Because having those 10 minutes in the car ride with her it’s good, even when you’re distracted.
“How’s school now that you’re back?” She asks while staring straight ahead, and when the answer doesn’t come, she looks back at you. She takes one hand out of the wheel, and pokes your cheek. “Hey! What’s more interesting in your phone than me?”
“You don’t want me to answer that.” You joke with a smile, and you hear a sarcastic ‘ha ha’ in return. “School is still there.”
“Baby…”
“I’m joking, jeez.” You put your phone away and pat her shoulder trying to calm her. “Everything is fine, mom. I got my grades back up, and everyone loves me now.”
“Yeah?”
“No, I’m just kidding again.” You laugh and she makes an annoyed sound that you decide to ignore. She stops the car in front of the school, and you see Jamie getting out of her mami’s momvan. “Well, gotta go. Thanks for the ride.” You kiss her cheek. “Love ya, have a great day!”
“You too, babygirl.” Lena smiles back at you, watching you getting out of the car. “Don’t break anything, I love you!”
You close the door and turn on your heels, rolling your eyes. If you had a dollar for every time Lena said ‘don’t break anything’, you would be the billionaire by now.
“Hey weirdo.” You catch up to Jamie.
“Hey dipshit.” She answers, putting her phone back in her pocket. “Did you do the chemistry homework? Can I copy?”
Oh, if you had a dollar for that too.
School goes on like it always does, and you can’t help but think that it really doesn’t matter that you have superpowers and a not-so-average intelligence. School is still school for everyone. Kids have pretty much the same problems, questions and indecisions. And you’re just another one in that sea of moody teenagers going from one class to the other.
It's great that you have a girlfriend now. And even if that still doesn’t feel like a normal thing in your life, you two have fallen into a routine very quickly. You see each other when you arrive at school, have a few classes together, have lunch with Jamie in the same table you’ve always seated on, and when the school is over you two steal some moments alone, before either of you have to go home. Today it’s no different.
You don’t go to L Corp. You have lots of homework and reading to do, and you also don’t have any idea for an invention, which is, surprise surprise, also very common for you. Jamie thinks you’re always flooding with ideas and that couldn’t be further from the truth. On your ordinary days, you work very hard and things still don’t go anywhere. So, you just go home and do your boring school activities.
“Hey, whatcha working on?” Kara asks, opening your bedroom door, hours after you sat down, and you look up from your books.
“Homework.” You take off your glasses feeling your vision blurry on the sides. Kara walks in and kisses the top of head.
“Why don’t you take a break, huh?” She asks, like she can see it on your face you’ve been here long enough, and you’re tired already. “Look what I've got you.” Kara gives you a donut and you smile at her.
“You know me so well.” You take it from her hands and eat fast. “Thanks, momma.”
“Come help us with dinner.” She asks and you look at your books deciding you’ve studied enough. You follow her to the kitchen where Lena is already cooking. “Look who I found nose buried in her books.”
“Oh, it’s our little nerd.” Lena chuckles and she kisses your temple when you’re close enough. “Did you clean your bedroom?”
“Mmm…” You haven’t, but you don’t want to tell her that. But then again, Kara was just inside your room, so you can’t exactly lie. You look at Kara for support and she shakes her head agreeing, like she’s giving you permission to say yes. “Mhm, yeah.”
“Ok.” Lena puts your hair behind your ear and smiles softly. “You can clean up after you help us with dinner.”
You huff while pouting, making both of them giggle at you.
“How did you know I was lying?”
“Oh, that part was actually really simple, because you see… I’m not an idiot.” She winks at you and you agree with your head. “Now, why don’t you help me?” Lena points at the top shelf. “Can you grab that bowl for me?”
“Why? You can’t reach it?” You joke, making Kara wheeze a laughter behind you, and it takes her a whole minute to recover from that. Even with Lena looking at her like she is going to commit murder if she doesn't stop.
“Don’t sass me.” It’s Lena’s response and you fly a little off the ground to grab what she asked for.
So, you all finish making dinner, and eating it, while talking about your days. And that includes Lena’s boring meetings with people who know way less than she knows, but still try to convince her that she’s wrong. Includes Kara’s interviewing various uninteresting people to the unexciting news piece that she’s writing. And your tedious classes, and uncreative ideas. The day is so dull, there wasn’t even any Supergirl emergency.
When dinner is done, and the kitchen is clean, they make their way to the couch, and you clean your bedroom using your super speed, so you can join them right after. The three of you just watch TV, and laugh, and exist.
If you’re being honest, you would trade all the kidnappings, assassination attempts, saving National City emergencies, to these dull days, easily. Because just existing next to them it’s so freaking good, you don’t need anything else.

Always My Ride Or Die Masterlist
This Months Writing
Stepping out of the car, I tugged my leather jacket tighter around me as the bitter wind assaulted my body. Dad had already taken Shelby inside as she had fallen asleep in her car seat, leaving me alone with my thoughts once again. Thoughts I wanted to block out but no matter how hard I tried they always managed to creep into my mind. Every time there was the pop and bang from an exhaust in the distance, the flutter of the turbo as someone dropped a gear and floored it, or the sound of a race happening, my heart always started to pound knowing the thrill that something as simple as a sound could provide.
I knew deep down Dad was right, racing and cars were in Shelby’s blood, just like it was in mine and Nate’s. If she really wanted to follow in our footsteps she would and there would be no stopping her, not if she was anything like me or her dad. Every week I knew Nate got her helping in the garage working on his car, just by the small splatters of oil on her trainers, the brake dust on her hair, and the smell of petrol.
It wasn’t the first time I thought about shoving whatever could fit into a couple of suitcases and getting the next bus out of town, leaving everything and everyone behind, just me and Shelby, and starting a new life away from all the temptation. But there were two things that stopped me every single time. I couldn’t live without Dad. Even at twenty seven years old I was still a daddy’s girl and so was Shelby. The bond her and Nate had was one that was never going to break and I wasn’t going to be the reason she never saw her daddy, even if it meant living with the pain of the past.
Once again it was Friday, the week was uneventful and, quite frankly, boring as hell. There weren't many people booked in this week which meant most people were working on the cars they taught in or on their own cars. The one downside to a slow week was I was constantly trapped in my mind, the sound of everyone working in the garages stirred up memories of the many nights spent in Nate’s garage working on both cars until god knows what time in the morning.
There was always the black tarp that kept catching my eye, like a present waiting to be unwrapped. Every time Shelby got close, my heart dropped. The last thing I needed was for her to uncover it and start asking questions, ones I didn’t want to answer.
The sound of a familiar exhaust in the distance pulled me from my thoughts. No matter where I was the moment I heard the sound I knew who it was. This was the moment I was dreading. Dad had a doctor's appointment so he couldn’t drop Shelby off with Nate which meant Nate was coming here to pick her up for the week. It also meant it would be the first time me and Nate would be in the same room in over a year.
“Mummy,” Shelby squealed with pure joy, pulling at the hem of my hoodie as she heard the sound of her daddy’s car getting louder. “Daddy’s here.”
“Baby he is still about 2 miles away,” I laughed scooping her up in my arms.
“But I can hear him,” she pouted.
“That’s because daddy has a very loud car,” I smirked, kissing the top of her head.
“I know,” she beamed with pride. “And it goes super fast, faster than grandpa’s.”
This concerned me, I didn’t mind him driving her about in his car but if he was breaking the speed limits with her as a passenger there would be hell to play.
In typical Nate style, the moment he pulled into the lot, he was doing donuts on the freshly laid concrete. Automatically, I rolled my eyes as I placed a wiggling Shelby on the floor. The moment Nate came to a stop and climbed out of the driver seat she took off, running as fast as her little legs could carry her.
“You do know I just got that connie laid last week,” I sighed, folding my arms across my chest, “and then some idiot comes along and defaces it.”
“What can I say, babygirl?” Nate smirked as he walked over with Shelby hanging from his neck. “It was missing a few marks, you can thank me later.”
“Less of the ‘babygirl’ please,” I huffed, watching him look into the garage, his eyes landing on the dusty tarp.
“Daddy,” Shelby said, looking up at him. “Mummy still didn’t touch the cover.”
“I can see that, Princess,” Nate said, shaking his head, making eye contact with me. “When are you going to set the beast free, Nov?”
“Urm, never?” I snapped, rolling my eyes at him. “I’ve told you I’m never driving it again.”
“You will one day, babygirl, trust me,” he winked. “I will have you running the streets with me again, just like the old days.”
“Nate,” I sighed, running my hand through my hair. “Please just stop, it’s never going to happen again, it can’t happen, my priorities have changed now, as yours never did.”
“Fine, but I don’t think you even believe it yourself when you say it, and don’t say my priorities haven’t changed just because I am still in the scene doesn’t mean that night didn’t change me either because it did” Nate sighed, sadness shining in his blue eyes. “I just miss you, that’s all, Nov. I know we’ve been through some stuff but I miss my ride or die being by my side. And not just on the streets.”
“It’s just too painful, Nate,” I said barely a whisper, on the verge of breaking at any point.
“I get it, I really do but sometimes you need to look past the pain,” he whispered. “But I will see you around, I guess.”
All I wanted to do was scream. This was why I didn’t want any contact with him, it just stirred up feelings that never really left.
“Come on then, Princess, let’s go,” Nate grinned, kissing Shelby’s cheek. “I have a fun day planned for us and it starts with going to the zoo, then I have a special job for you back at the garage.”
“Do I get to use the breaker bar?” She grinned as your eyes shone with excitement. Normal 6 year olds shouldn’t even know what a breaker bar even was let alone help use it.
“Yes, Princess,” Nate grinned, “you can help daddy change his alloys.”
“To the summer ones?” She asked, hanging on his every word. “I like the summer alloys they sparkle.”
“There’s no denying she’s our daughter,” Nate laughed looking back at me.
“Yeah and that’s what scares me,” I mumbled before kissing Shelby goodbye, watching as Nate strapped her into the car seat on the passenger seat. Taking a deep breath I called out. “Nate, wait.”
“What’s up?” He asked.
“Just drive safe, yeah?” I said, trying not to let my voice break.
“I always do, babygirl,” he winked, blowing a kiss before he climbed into the driver's seat. The moment the engine started the ground started to vibrate from the custom made exhaust and crackle map. The vibrations made me take a deep breath as I felt it through every bone one my body, making me turn back to the office. I couldn’t stand to watch them drive away, knowing deep in my heart that one day Shelby may pick her daddy and cars over me.

Life goes on.
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader
Word count: 2900.
Turns out, you are not fine.
Lena is back home. That sentence alone should bring you immense joy. You should be out there doing cartwheels. It’s all you wanted, it’s what you’ve been incessantly working for. Lena is home, her memories are back, your family has been through the worst and came back from it.
So when you lay on your bed you should be able to sleep and rest. You should be able to think about anything else. About your own life. But no-
Not you.
Not this time.
You fall asleep on your bed but wake up at your mom's bed. So tangled up in Lena you don’t even know how and when you got there. She can’t get up because there’s a freaking kryptonian keeping her in place.
“Baby, are you up?” Lena asks softly in your ear, and you shuffle letting her out of your strong embrace.
“Did Kara bring me here?”
“No, my love. I’m pretty sure you were sleepwalking.” She strokes your hair, gently. “You can go back to sleep if you want, I’ll go make breakfast before Kara burns down the kitchen.”
“No, I’ll-I’ll go with you.” You wake up, still feeling like you could sleep at least another three hours, but if Lena is up, then you should be with her.
And that’s how you spend your weekend. Following Lena around like a lost puppy dog begging for extra care. Always there, Kara barely has time to kiss your mom, without you showing up to interrupt. You don’t care. You know she missed Lena too, but this is different. You need Lena’s undivided attention.
But Monday comes. And you’re not ready for Mondays. You’re not ready for school, and for the kids asking where you were and how the hell you’re still not dead. But most importantly, you’re not ready for being physically far away from Lena again.
“Do you have to go to work?” You ask, while watching Lena picking up her stuff in a hurry and throwing everything on her bag.
“I-What?” Lena glances up to you, trying to understand where that question is coming from. You give her a sheepish smile. “Yes, baby. I have to go to work.”
“But-” You look at Kara for back-up, but she doesn’t seem to be in the same state of codependence as you feel yourself right now, as she keeps devouring the food before her. “Do you actually have to, or is it more like a ‘I have to go to work ‘cause everyone goes to work’ kind of thing?”
“Baby, what are you asking?” Lena stops organizing her stuff, and she goes to where you’re sitting. She pulls the chair next to yours, and sits down, forgetting she was ever in a hurry. “It’s Monday. On Mondays I go to work, you go to school, and Kara-” She looks back at Kara for a second, who is still eating waffles, and not joining the conversation. “Does her usual Kara’ stuff.”
You bite your lower lip. “You almost died.”
“No, I didn’t. You saved me, remember?” She smiles at you, and you raise your hand touching her scar on the side of her face. “This is just a scar, baby.”
“I just think we should be resting.” You breathe out, and Kara snaps her head up at the sound of that.
“You don’t have to go to school today, little one.” Kara says, and you realize you said ‘we’ instead of ‘you’. Well, that means something. It means that you also think you deserve a rest from the world. “I can work from home today, and I’ll only leave if there’s an emergency.”
“Can’t you work from home too?” You look at Lena.
“I can’t, babygirl.” Lena looks sad about it, and you think that maybe if you push just a little more, she’ll stay.
“Then can I go with you?” You pout, making Lena reach for your face. “I would stay on the couch and not make a peep.”
“Why would you want to do that?” Lena asks like she doesn’t know the damn reason why you want to be with her all the time, after she simply forgot you existed for a few days.
“So I can be with you.” You’re not even done with your sentence and Lena pulls you in for a hug, holding your head so strongly against her chest you almost forget everything while listening to her heartbeat.
“What if you stay in with Kara and I’ll go to work and do what I have to do, but come back as soon as I’m done?”
“That could be in three hours or thirteen, mom.” You sigh, dropping your head low. “Who am I kidding? Knowing you, it will certainly be thirteen.”
“It won’t.” She kisses your forehead and gives you a soft smile. “I’ll be here before you even have a chance to miss me.”
“Then you won’t leave at all.” It’s out of your mouth before you even process what you’re saying.
“Baby.” Lena holds your face. “Life goes on.”
You look at her, trying not to show any emotion while you think about it. Life goes on. That easy. It beats you down, knocks you unconscious, makes you lose your will to live, but still goes on. No matter how gut-wrenching going on may be.
“Right.” You blink at her, unable to do more than that. “It goes on.”
“I’ll be back as soon as I can.” Lena kisses your cheek, picks her stuff and gets out. You lower your glasses watching her when she’s out the door. You watch her get in the car and drive away. You bite your lower lip holding the tears back.
“Life goes on.” You repeat to yourself, and you feel Kara’s hand on your shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. “It shouldn’t. It should give us time to recover before throwing more pain on our backs and asking us to handle it whether we want to or not.”
You get up from the kitchen table and go to the living room. Why does this feel so hard for you? Kara dusted herself off, she was even willing to figure out her life with Lena even if she never got her memories back. Lena also wrapped her mind around all the trials and tribulations she went through awfully quick. And here you are.
“Hey.” Kara follows you, throwing herself on the couch with you. You make more space for her. She wraps her arms around you, and hums content. “Let’s have our time to recover. Whatcha wanna do?”
“Nothing.”
“I thought we could train a little.” She asks, taking a lock of hair from your face.
“I don’t want to train. All I do is fight-fight-fight. I’m tired of fighting and getting beat up. And having wins that mostly feels like losses. I’m tired of almost dying or seeing the people I love in danger. I’m tired of doing almost enough and I’m-”
“I think you should see a therapist.” Kara blurts out, and you sigh. “Because all of these feelings you’re having are valid, and I can try to help you with so much, but this feels out of my reach.”
“I just need my mom.”
“Your mom is safe.”
“That’s not enough anymore.” You grunt, annoyed. “Right now, the idea that she’s safe, that she remembers us, that she’ll be back home is not enough for me, momma. I need her here.”
“I know, baby.” Kara agrees softly.
“You remember when I almost died and you-you wouldn’t let me leave the house without you, and you would only wear sweatpants, and you didn’t show your face at work for a month?” You ask and Kara agrees weakly with her head. “That’s what I need. I need sweatpants and disgusting meals and not existing in the world for a while and I need mom with me all the time, so I know she’s safe and sound.”
“And you need therapy.” Kara adds and you agree with your head. “Like I needed when that happened.”
“Yeah.” You lay on the couch, putting your head under the cushions and then mumbling. “And that too.”
Turns out, staying on the couch all morning is not as healing as you thought it would be. Having Kara with you, also doesn’t withdraw the need of constantly using your super hearing to check on Lena. It seems that Kara might be right after all. It seems that this time, shaking off the image of Kara’s bloody face, and Lena’s empty look towards you, it’s going to take a bit more work.
“Wanna have your favorite food for lunch?” Kara asks, and you growl your answer at her. “Donuts?”
“I don’t think that donuts can fix this.”
“Ok, then what do you wanna eat?”
“I didn’t say no.” You look at Kara. “I said that I don’t think it can fix me, but I would love to see it try.”
She smiles fondly at you. “I love you so much.” It’s her answer before disappearing somewhere to order said donuts.
It’s about twenty minutes later when you hear the doorbell, and Kara rushes to answer it.
“Maya!” You hear Kara’s shocked welcome, and you snap your head up at the sound of your girlfriend’s name. You don’t look injured anymore, but you also don’t look the best you’ve ever looked.
“Hi Mrs. Danvers. I’m sorry to show up without a warning, but I’m just a little worried, and I thought I would come and check on-wow, now that I say that out loud, I sound like a total stalker.” Maya says, and you get up looking for your glasses.
“You don’t, sweetheart.” Kara says reassuringly. “Why don’t you come in?”
You get a glimpse of yourself on the TV screen. You look terrible, but that will have to do. You have no strength to make yourself more presentable.
“Hey.” You say, going to the front door, and Maya’s expression warms your heart entirely. Just seeing you makes her so happy.
“Oh, thank God!” She throws herself in your arms and you hold her tight, hearing her heart beating fast. “You’re ok. God! I was so worried!”
“I’m ok.” You assure her, running your fingers through her hair and breathing in her smell. You missed her. “I’m sorry.”
“Hey, it’s ok.” She lets go of you, and looks at your face, with a soft smile and you smile too when you look at her dimples. “I’m just glad you’re ok.”
“I’m gonna go buy some… Food.” Kara says, disappearing. You breathe relieved that she’s giving you and Maya some time.
“Come on.” You hold her hand, taking her to the couch. “I think I have some explaining to do.”
“Jamie told me it was a family thing, and I-I saw the attack to L Corp on the news.” Maya fills you in on what she knows, making your job a lot easier, because now you just have to fill in the gaps. “Is everyone there ok?”
“Yeah. Now.” You push a smile out, but it comes out empty and sad. “But, um, when they attacked it, they-they took Lena.”
“What?” Maya yells, looking scared and shocked.
“It’s ok. She’s ok now.” You rush to reassure her. “It took a while, but she’s-she’s safe and totally fine.”
“So, what happened? Why did Jamie’s mom go to pick you and then her?”
“She thought we could be in danger too. Apparently, they wanted to attack to the entire family, so-”
“Were you? In danger?” You smile a little thinking you literally died and was brought back to life.
“Maybe, but-” You see her expression switch to worry immediately. “The entire family was in a safe place just waiting.”
It’s not lying. Whatever you’re doing here can’t be called lying, right? You’re leaving all important -maybe too important- information, but you haven’t lied at all. The family was in a safe place, she doesn’t have to know you weren’t there too.
“Oh, I-” Maya reaches for her backpack and gives you your phone. You raise your eyebrow, confused. “Jamie put it on your locker, and I sorta forgot and have been calling you non-stop for the past week.”
“Thank you.” You pick the phone in her hand and toss it behind you without even a glance at it. “So, um, this thing that happened.” You breathe deep trying to get your words out. “It’s more common than it should in our family.”
“Because you’re Luthors?”
“Um…” No? Yes? Maybe? You breathe again. “I guess that’s also one of the reasons. You know how people hate us. I mean, even your family hates us.”
“But they wouldn’t-”
“No! Of course not! That’s not what I meant.” This is harder than you could imagine. “But some other people would, you know. So, we’re sort of always in danger somehow. I mean, last year they tried to kill Lena, and you remember when I had that cast on.”
“That was all because of your family name?”
“It was certainly because of my family.” But she doesn’t need to know what side of the family, right? Really, it doesn’t feel fair blaming all on the Luthor side when being a Super has caused a lot more problems to you, but you can’t exactly tell her that. As long as you don’t straight up lie, you can somehow forgive yourself. “I just-I’ll understand if you want to run away and pretend that we’ve never met.”
“What? Babe, I don’t want that!” Maya holds your face and kisses you gently. “I wanted the opposite, I-I wanted to be there for you, and hold your hand when all of this was happening.”
“You did?”
“I do.” Maya says, pulling you into a hug, and you melt into her arms.
“I think I’m gonna need it, cause I’m not in a very good place right now.” You say and she kisses your cheek.
“I’m here for you.” She whispers next to your ear, and you smile.
Kara comes back a while later, with the donuts in hands, and you share them with Maya. Definitely, donuts could not fix you. Kara’s attention was nice but could not fix you. Maya’s kisses made you feel better, but no, they also couldn’t fix you. Lena’s hug as soon as she walks in home, a lot earlier than she’s used to, sure helped but you’re still not fixed.
“Baby? Do you want to help me with dinner?” Lena asks, calling your attention and you keep looking at your phone. You’ve been checking it and there’s so many missed calls and texts from Maya you feel bad for not looking for it before.
“Hm?”
“Hey.” Lena kneels in front of you, both hands on your knees, and you finally lower your phone to look at her. “Are you ok?”
“No.” You sigh. “I don’t think I am, no.”
“What are we going to do about it?” She asks, softly. No pressure. No push.
“It seems that therapy is probably overdue in this case.”
Lena gets up from the floor and kisses your cheek. She looks at you with a smile. “I’m proud of you. That’s a big step. Especially for a Luthor. But we still got you. You know that don’t you?”
“Stronger together.”
Lena shows you her hand. You hold it, before getting up. “Always.”
It seems that even though you stopped in time, in place and with the same emotions, life has not stopped itself too.
So, begrudgingly, you go back to school, and willingly, you go to therapy. And your therapist has to sign so many NDAs that you actually feel safe telling him everything. Words come out of your mouth so fast, he is pretty much acquainted with your entire life after just one hour.
“Hey!” Kara’s voice comes from the living room the moment you step inside your house. “We’re in here!”
You adjust your glasses on your face. Don’t do it. Don’t take them off, don’t look to the living room. You walk there slowly, to find both of your moms on one couch, Alex and Kelly on the other, and Jamie sitting on the floor.
“We were waiting for you to start.” Kara adds, and you notice the games on the coffee table. Great. Game night. Exactly what you didn’t need.
“I won’t be playing tonight.” You give one look at Jamie, and she stands up right away, understanding you probably need to talk.
“Are you… sure?” Lena asks and you agree with your head.
“Oh, we need to talk, actually.” Jamie adds and her help it’s much appreciated.
“Well, do you-maybe-would you like to-how was your therapy session?” Kara asks, and everyone’s faces light up in genuine curiosity. You push a smile out of your lips.
“Great! We talked about a lot of things.” You point upstairs with your head, and Jamie agrees, going to your side so you both can leave the room. “In fact, I even made a resolution.”
“Oh, that’s-” Lena looks at Kelly, like she is asking whether it is a good thing or not. Kelly agrees with her head. “So good! Can you tell us about it?”
“Sure.” Your smile comes out untruthfully. “I have decided that I’ll quit being Superkid.” You breathe out one more time and say it more assertively this time. “Starting today, Superkid doesn’t exist anymore.”

Sweet 16.
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader
Word count: 2430.
“Hey! There she is!” Kara opens her arms excitedly when you walk home from school.
“Here I am.” You answer unaware of why she’s so excited. It’s just a normal day.
“Your birthday is in a few days.” She says and you agree with your head. “Are you excited?”
“Sure.” It’s what your mouth says. But what your face says it’s ‘whatever’.
“I see that.” She waits until you’re seated to reach out from the other side of the counter and hold your chin up on her hand. “What’s wrong, little one?”
“Nothing’s wrong, momma.” You shrug. “It’s just a birthday. Just another day.”
“It is absolutely not just another day!” She lets go of your face and makes her way around the counter to reach you. “It is the day that the person I love the most in the universe finally came into my life.” She hugs tight and you smile.
“Mom’s birthday is still a few months away.” You joke and Kara squints her eyes at you.
“I’m serious, baby.” She sits next to you with the biggest smile on her face. “What do you want in your party?”
“I don’t know.” You shrug again. “Can I ask for anything?” She agrees with a nod. “Ok. Then, how about for my party, we don’t have one?”
Kara’s face drops when you say that, and she looks disappointed. You don’t want a party, honestly your birthday will be like every other birthday. Alex, Kelly and Jamie come over, Kara buys all the food in the universe, Lena buys all the presents in the universe, and that’s it. You’re fine with how things are. Besides, who else would you invite to the party anyway? Lillian Luthor? It’s a laughable thought.
“Just us family having dinner is enough.” You reassure her.
“Fine.” She still pouts though. “What do you want as a birthday gift?” Another shrug. “How about that video game you told me about?”
“Nah. Jamie already got it for her birthday and we usually play it together anyway.”
“Ok.” Kara agrees with her head and thinks some more. “A new phone?”
“Mine is fine.”
“A car?” She tries with a chuckle and you laugh too.
“I can fly.” You get up from the stool. “A hug will do. Oh, and maybe I can skip school?”
“That’s it? As your birthday present you want me to let you skip class?”
“No. I want you to convince mom to let me skip class.” You raise your eyebrows a couple of times at her and she agrees with her head. You kiss her cheek. “Don’t stress about it. Really. It’s just another day.”
You go to your room and lay in bed thinking about this ‘just another day’. You remember you were once so excited about birthdays. As a kid you would get up before your moms, run to their bedroom, climb on their bed and wake them up yelling ‘it’s my birthday!’. You could never wait until later to open all your presents (Lena would always save the best one for the party), and you would annoyingly tell every single person you saw that it was your day. Now the only thing you want is sleep until late and maybe go to your lab alone.
You were so anxious for leaving the whole ‘birthday conversation’, you didn’t eat and you’re starving. So, you wait a little until you see Kara is not in the kitchen anymore and you sneak there.
“Kara. What’s-?” You hear Lena’s voice from the living room. You’re not using your super hearing, they’re just close enough. “What’s all this?”
“Look at her, Lena.” You use your x-ray vision and you see a bunch of photo albums on the table. “Look at this cute little bean, all excited about her birthday.”
“Yeah, God. She loves it so much.” Lena agrees, grabbing one of the albums to look at it.
“Loved it.” Kara corrects her with a sigh. “She just told me she doesn’t want a party, and as a birthday gift she wants to not have to go to school.”
“What? Why? Do you think there is something going on at school?” Lena asks and you sit closer to hear their conversation without them seeing you. Honestly, you’re so good at eavesdropping you don’t even need powers for that.
“I don’t know. I think she just doesn't want to think about this day, you know?” Kara sighs and holds one of your pictures up. “I get it though. I mean, just look at this little smooch. Rao, she’s so big now. She is doing great with her powers; she has her own lab.”
“Yeah. She is smart, independent, strong, caring…” Lena completes the thought and you smile to yourself.
“Soon enough she’ll go to college and like…” You can hear Kara choking a little and you know she’s crying. “She won’t need me anymore. And I’ll be here all alone.”
“Why, thank you, honey.” Lena says ironically.
“Alone with you.” Kara adds trying to make her feel better.
“Oh yeah, that’s a lot better.” Lena breathes deep and wipes Kara’s tears. “Let’s not think about this now, ok? Let’s think about what we can do to make her enjoy her birthday like she used to.”
“I don’t want to push her into this. If she’s not feeling it, maybe we should let it be.” Kara closes one of the albums. “If not going to school and a family dinner is all she wants…”
“Wait, what? You can’t be serious. You really don’t want to throw her a party? You? Of all people?” Lena asks, surprised.
“Don’t look so shocked.” Kara crosses her arms. “If she wants to pretend that she’s not getting older, I’m fine with that. We can go on pretending she’s still 15 for years, that way she will never leave me.”
“Kara, this is not about you.” Lena does her whole ‘business woman’ pose. Crossed legs, fingers intertwined placed perfectly on top of her knee and serious expression. “Our daughter is incredible, and she can’t get stuck here because we’re unable to let her go. She deserves to see and save the world. She deserves to create incredible things and make the world better. We can’t get in the way of that.”
“I know, but…” Kara is still crying. “She is my baby. And I love her so much, and I want to be around her all the time. Maybe… Maybe we could build a time machine and relive her childhood all over again?”
“I don’t think you know how time machines work.”
“Fine. Then maybe I could go to college with her. You know, I’ll sign up for some classes and…”
“Yeah right, because that’s exactly what she will want. Go to college with her momma.” Lena hugs her and gets close to her ear. “I can think of a few things we could do to have fun when she goes off to college.”
Ew. No. You get up from where you’re sitting and grab a bag of chips and go back to your bedroom. This just turned R18+ super fast, you don’t want and shouldn’t listen anymore.
Your birthday came along really fast. None of your moms mentioned anything about a party, and Kara only said that your family was coming for dinner, so apparently, they decided to respect your wishes.
“It’s your birthday!” Kara walks in your room early in the morning, you wake up with a smile. She throws confetti in your face and you laugh. “Happy birthday, not-so little one.”
“Still little, momma.” She jumps in bed next to you and hugs you. “Thank you.”
“Happy birthday, babygirl.” Lena walks in the room and you see she has a box on her hands. “No peeking!”
“Uh, is that my present?” You raise one eyebrow and she agrees with her head.
“Guess what it is.” Kara says next to you and you shrug.
“Donuts?” You ask with a smile, but they shake their heads in denial at the same time. “Birthday cake?” Another no with their heads. “Cupcakes?”
“It’s not food.” Lena answers and comes next to you.
“Oh, then you guys probably didn’t get me what I wanted.” You joke and Kara laughs next to you. “Unless is a dog.”
“Definitely not a dog.” Lena gives you the box and you hug her to say thank you. She kisses your forehead. “I hope you like it, baby.”
“Cool, thanks mom.” You smile at Lena and then turn to Kara. “Now for your birthday gift to me. Did you do it? Did you talk to her?”
“Yes, kid. You don’t have to go to school today.” Kara agrees with her head and you smile.
“Well, thanks for the gifts. Now I’m going back to sleep, because I don’t have to wake up early today. I love you both. Happy birthday to me, yay!” You say not excitedly and put the blanket over your head, so they can take the hint and leave you to go back to sleep.
You wake up hours later and you’re starving. You joked about donuts and birthday cake, but you kind of wish they actually bought those. You hear the doorbell and Lena yells it’s for you, so you get out of your pajamas in a flash and run to the front door.
“Grandmother?” Your eyes grow bigger and you look at your mom next to you, still holding the door open.
“Granddaughter.” She answers with a tiny smile. “Do you mind if we speak out here for a minute?”
You look at Lena for permission. She gives you a little nod, and you take that as incentive. So you go out the door, and Lena closes it, to give you guys some more privacy.
“I just came by to wish you a happy birthday. It’s a very important age.” Lillian says and you smile.
“It’s just another year.” You shrug and she shakes her head.
“I suppose.” She clears her throat and you see she has something in her hands, and it’s carefully wrapped in a red and blue paper. “I wouldn’t know what’s important for a kid, anyhow.” She takes a deep breath. “I hope you enjoy it.”
She hands you the box and you so desperately want to lower your glasses to make sure it’s not a kryptonite bomb inside, but you refrain from doing so. You don’t want to seem impolite. You unwrap the paper and see a video game console, also red and blue. You smile.
“I remembered you told me you made one videogame and, well, the guy at the store told me this one sells well with kids.” She says and you beam at her. You almost feel like hugging her, but you don’t want to impose, so the smile will have to do.
“Thank you. It’s amazing, really.” She agrees with her head, looking proud of herself.
“A book would be better, but I don’t think you can get any smarter.”
“I could. But I would be unbearable.” You laugh and she smiles lightly. Kara lands on the doorstep at the moment.
“Lillian.” Kara says as a hello. Lillian turns back to her, adjusting the clothes on her body, looking nervous.
“Supergirl.” She replies, bitterly. Then turns back at you. “Well, happy birthday.” She mentions to leave, but before she tilts her head. “Granddaughter.”
“Thanks.” You salute her off. “Grandmother.”
Lillian makes her way to the black car parked in front of the driveway. Kara hugs you sideways and you get inside the house. You see her looking at the console on your hands.
“Birthday present.” You smile showing it to her.
“The one you wanted.” She stares at it for a while. Then agrees with her head, like she had just checked for bombs and it’s safe.
“Guess who just landed in the backyard?” Lena asks and you furrow your brows.
“COUSIN!” Superboy walks in all dressed in his stupid super hero clothes and you toss the video game to Kara and run to hug him.
“What are you doing here?” You ask surprise and stop smiling for a second. “Oh no, what have you done?”
Everyone laughs, well aware of his reputation, Conner also laughs and messes with your hair.
“It’s your birthday, lab rat! You actually think I would miss that?” He smiles and whispers in your ear. “I also know your moms buy the most delicious food for this day.”
“It’s true!” Kara agrees from the other side, proving there’s no way you can keep a secret from her. “I just went to Italy and picked up all of her favorites. Everyone else is already on their way, so we’ll eat in a while.”
“Your mom’s the best.” Conner says, making Kara smile, very proud of herself.
“Your uncle is also the best.” You hear behind you and you look at Superman standing on the backyard door with a smile.
“Kal!” You run to him and hug him tightly. You haven’t seen him in such a long time. Kara shows up behind you.
“Hey Kal.” You let go of him and Kara hugs him. You look at Conner and you both go to the living room, and let the grown-ups talk. You show Conner your new video game and you both play with it until the doorbell rings.
“I’ll get it.” You run to the door and see aunt Alex, aunt Kelly, Jamie and Eliza on the other side. “GRAMM!”
“Hi sweetheart.” Eliza smiles and kisses the top of your head. She looks at your surprised face. “What? You thought I wouldn’t come to your birthday?” You’re so happy. You can’t believe she left Midvale just to see you. “Happy birthday, sweetie.”
“Thanks Gramm.” You say and she goes inside.
“Happy birthday, kiddo.” Aunt Alex hugs you and your smile just grows bigger and bigger.
“Happy birthday, little Danvers.” Jamie hugs you and whispers in your ear. “If you leave me alone in school again, I’ll murder you.”
Aunt Kelly also wishes you happy birthday and you all go inside the house. You’re almost back in the living room when the doorbell rings again, and Nia and Brainy come inside too.
When you finally reach the living room, you see three shadows running around and you smile. Soon, the whole place is ready. There are balloons, a happy birthday banner, and the biggest birthday cake you’ve ever seen. You thought you had no one to invite to your party, but now looking at the full house, you smile to yourself. Your whole family is here. And they are amazing.

Red Kryptonite causes drama and trauma – The series.
Part 2 – There’s an ache in you, put there by the ache in me.
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader
Word count: 1666.
Warning: Angst. Injuries. Oh, and pain.
Previously on the series - part 1
Day turned into night. You hear your phone buzzing somewhere in a distance, you don’t get up. You’re hungry, in pain, lonely and scared. But you don’t want to get up, because she is right. If you get up you are going to go crying to your mom. If you get up the world will beat you down because you are weak. If you get up you are going to have to look at her face, and you don’t want to do that ever again.
After a long, long time alone, Lena runs into the training center and sees you lying on the floor. She kneels next to you and examines your face.
“Babygirl, what happened? How-How-Who? Who did this to you?” She can see the blood, and the bruises on your face. She looks so scared, because she has never seen you beating down like this before. She waits a beat, you don’t answer. “Baby talk to me, please. Things are so crazy. I was looking for you everywhere.”
“I was here.” You say trying to calm her.
“I’ve been trying to call you, because your momma was exposed to red kryptonite again, and she is not… Herself.” Oh. Red Kryptonite. That’s the explanation you were waiting for. “But what happened to you? Please, tell me.”
“Supergirl.”
“She-she… Baby. That’s not possible. She wouldn’t.” Lena tries to argue and you lift your t-shirt so she can look at your chest. There’s a perfect boot mark right in the middle. Lena’s eyes grow bigger. “Oh my God. I-I don’t understand.”
“Training session got a little heated.”
“But this?” Lena touches your hands. There’s blood. She looks at your knees, they’re scratched. Your face has blood and purples. “I knew red kryptonite could make her hurt people, but her own daughter?”
“Mom. Just help me up?” You ask putting your hand up again, and she takes it, helping you stand on your feet. “Can you get aunt Alex to look at my wrist? I think it’s broken. I don’t know if it’s possible, but…”
“Come on.” She holds your waist and kisses your temple. You two walk together. “I got you, my baby. You’re safe now.”
“She said something…” You look at Lena.
“What? What did Kara say to you?” She looks worried and almost mad. You don’t want her to be. You’re already mad. Kara is already mad. You don’t have to draw Lena into this mess.
“Nevermind. It wasn’t her. Right? It was the red kryptonite.” You look at your mom for back-up. You don’t believe a word you just said. You know the effects of red kryptonite and yes, it makes her say mean things, but only things she already thought about. So, it’s true what she said about you being weak, and a terrible Kryptonian. And it’s true, she also thinks you will never be Supergirl.
“Right. It wasn’t her. She is out of herself.” Lena looks at you and wipes your tears with her thumb in the most delicate way possible so she won’t touch your bruises. “Our Kara would never ever do anything to hurt you. She loves you more than anything in the world. I am sure of that.”
“Yeah.” You swallow your tears once again. You’re not sure of that. “Yeah.”
Alex is dealing with red-kryptonite-full-of-shit Kara when you arrive at the DEO. Kara is sleeping in a bed in the infirmary with the yellow sun lamp on her, there’s also a bunch of wires connecting to her head. Your heart beats faster when you see her face, even though she’s not awake.
Alex examines you, and there’s nothing broken. She recommends you staying in the bed next to Kara for your bruises to heal faster, but you ask Lena to take you home.
“Hey.” Alex calls you before you leave and you go back to her. Lena waits for you, but she gives you guys privacy. “I’ve been where you are. I know it sucks.”
“Are you going to tell me that it was the red kryptonite and she didn’t mean any of this?” You ask, rolling your eyes. Aunt Alex hugs you and kisses the top of your head.
“No. I’m going to tell you that if you need me, I’m right here, ok?” She smiles at you and you shake your head agreeing. “Kelly and Jamie too. We’re your family and we’re going to help through whatever.”
“Thanks aunt Alex. I love you.”
“I love you, kiddo.” Alex squeezes your shoulder lightly. “Get some sunlight, ok?”
“Sure.” You go back to your mom so you can go home. You two don’t speak in the car. She’s giving you some time to process, but you know your mom. She’ll want you to talk about it.
“Babygirl, do you want to talk about what happened with your momma?” Lena asks when you arrive home, like you imagined, and you sit on the couch.
“Not really.” You breathe heavily and relax your head on the cushions.
“Well, I do.” Lena sits in front of you and touches your leg. “I’m sure she didn’t mean to hurt you like this, but…”
“But she did. Honestly mom, it’s just bruises. We both know that if I stay a couple hours in the sun making photosynthesis or whatever, I’ll recover.” You shrug.
“But she said stuff…” She tries again and you can feel the tears coming. But you won’t cry. You won’t give Supergirl the satisfaction of being right. You won’t cry to your mom.
“Can you, like, just hug me and order a bunch of food?” You ask and your answer is Lena sitting next to you and pulling you towards her. You lay your head on her lap and smile at her. She plays with your hair. “This will do.”
You take a half hour nap, and you only wake up when you feel Lena lifting your head and placing a pillow under it. You make annoyed noises.
“Sorry baby, but the donuts are here.” She says going to the door and you sit down. She comes back with an enormous box of donuts and you smile at the clear over compensation. You start eating right away. She clears her throat. “Alex texted that Kara will have to stay the night for the kryptonite to completely leave her system.”
“’Kay.”
“That means we can talk…” You shoot her a look that says that you are not going to talk, and shove another donut in your mouth. “Baby, I just want to make sure you’re ok.”
“m fine.” Liar. She knows it. You know it. You two just stare at each other for a few minutes while you keep eating donuts at an alarming rate. When you’re sure you’re going to feel sick if you keep eating, you stand up. “I have to shower.”
“Sleep with me tonight?” Lena asks with a smile. “Please. I don’t want to sleep alone.”
“Sure. But only because you need company.” Liar. Rao, why are you lying so much?
Shower with so many bruises and open cuts it’s a complete nightmare. One of the few nightmares you lived today. You go to Lena’s room and you lay in bed with her. You both say goodnight and stay there. In the dark. Wide awake. Every time you close your eyes you see Kara’s fist coming at your face and you flinch. You won’t sleep. You know Lena is not sleeping either. She keeps checking on you, holding your hand, and playing with your hair.
In the morning when the bedroom door opens, you get up so fast Flash himself would be jealous of your super speed. Kara doesn’t say anything at first, she just stays there crying, looking like a ghost of herself. Your hands are up in front of your face the moment she moves just a little.
“Little one.” Kara falls on her knees crying. You don’t move. Lena finally stands up in front of you. Not that she would be able to protect you if Kara were to try anything, but you feel safer. “I’m so, so sorry.”
“Sorry is not good enough.” It slips out of your mouth and she knows why you are saying this. She also remembers everything she told you.
“I know. But I didn’t mean any of it. I-I was so out of myself.” She is still there on her knees, looking small and scared and incredibly sorry, your heart aches. But your wrist also aches and it’s her fault.
“Bullshit.” You say and she flinches like you just hit her. Lena puts her hand behind herself so she can hold yours. You let her take it.
“Baby, please. I would never hurt you like that.” Kara finally stands up and you take a step backwards. Lena squeezes your hands reassuringly. “Please, I-I love you so much, little one. You are my whole heart.”
You don’t answer. Your heart aches harder. You know this is your Kara. Yesterday’s Kara was a freakish version of her. This Kara, turning red from all the crying, this Kara looking like she wants to beat herself up for doing that to you, this is your Kara. She is in so much pain, you just want to hug her and make her feel better. But you close your eyes and she is also the Kara who beat the shit out of you and didn’t help you even when you couldn’t breathe.
“Please, say something. Anything, just please, please talk to me.” She begs and you take a deep breath.
“I should go in the sun to heal faster.” You say, not exactly to her or Lena, and use your super speed to get out of their bedroom.
You lay on the grass in the backyard and just stare at the sky like you did the day before. You don’t use your super hearing; you don’t want to hear her voice. So, you just stay there, in silence, totally alone, choking on the aftertaste.

Let’s talk about Kara.
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader
Word count: 2150.
It’s been two weeks since you’ve been back home from your ‘nearly death’ experience and things are almost back to normal. Almost.
You realize now you look a lot like Kara, and you’re not thinking about looks, but how things affect you. After Lena’s assassination attempt you went days having panic attacks, nightmares, having to sleep with your moms because you were scared, and developing mechanisms to get through the night. When you were shot with kryptonite, on the other hand, that didn’t happen. And now, after you almost died, things got rough at first, but you’re back to your normal life. Sure, you have to use a cast on your leg to justify your limping, and your powers are making a slow return, but you’re back at school again.
Lena has also gone back to work by now. It was a long period of not stepping foot on L Corp and things have not completely fallen apart, but they were very close to it when she came back. But Kara, well, let’s talk about Kara. She faced a lot of near death experiences, but none have affected her like you almost dying.
“Hello, my child, light of my days, star of my nights.” Kara says when you walk in the living room in the afternoon.
“You’re such a weirdo.” You make your way to the couch to sit next to her, she wraps you in a hug and you laugh. “What’s up with the Shakespearean talk?”
“Oh, you know, just want to make sure you know you’re the reason I exist.”
“I really am not. Grandmother Alura and grandfather Zor-El are.” You say with a smile still dangling on your lips and Kara smiles too, tightening the embrace. “Momma, ouch. Still don’t have all the superpowers, remember?”
“Sorry.” Kara kisses the top of your head a few times. “What do you want to do today? Should we do a Harry Potter marathon?”
You look at her expectantly face, and you give her a soft smile. You have tests you haven’t studied for, you have to catch up in almost every single subject from school, and you certainly can’t waste time re-watching a movie you’ve seen a bunch of times already. But you just take one look at her face, and you change your mind.
“Sounds awesome.” She matches your smile and soon enough you’re both wrapped up in blankets, eating snacks and reciting some lines from the movies you both know so well.
You should talk to her. It’s been weeks. She can’t go on like this. She picks you up from school every day, so you never have to walk alone (she makes Lena drive you there in the morning before work). She spends all afternoon practically glued to you, and she hasn’t slept in her own bed ever since you were back from the DEO. It doesn’t matter how many times you assure her that you’re fine. It doesn’t matter how many times Lena bribes her with hugs and kisses and other stuff, she doesn’t leave your bed.
All of her other responsibilities were tossed aside. No more CatCo, no more Supergirl calls, no more going out to buy food, no more anything. Kara is either inside of the house in her sweatpants, or with you when you need to be out of the house.
You can see Lena’s worried about her, but you know she is also still worried about you, so she hasn’t said anything to Kara yet. You don’t know what to do. You love your momma, you love having her with you all the time, that’s really not the problem. The problem is that you know this isn’t healthy. You were once obsessed with keeping Lena safe and that did you no good.
But Kara looks unhappy and worried, and your heart squeezes in your chest every time you look at her and think about telling her this has to stop. You look at her gasping next to you when Cedric dies, four movies into the marathon, and you can’t bring yourself to do it.
But the feeling grows bigger. It stirs you inside. When she lays next to you on your bed, and you watch Lena leaving for another night of sleeping alone, it grows a little more. When you see her eating cereal with chocolate syrup, because there’s no more milk and she doesn’t want to go out to buy more, it grows a bit more. When you have to go to school half an hour earlier than your usual time, because Lena has a meeting and she can’t be late, it grows more. This can’t go on any longer. You have to say something.
“Hello, my fellow Hufflepuff companion, shall we remain doing our marathon?” Kara asks and you roll your eyes, before sitting in front of her on the couch.
“Maybe.” You hold her hands and she looks at you furrowing her eyebrows in confusion. “There’s something we need to talk about first.”
“Oooh. Am I in trouble?” She asks, making you laugh.
“Momma, I think it’s time for you to go back to work.” You say turning your face back to serious. “I’m fine.”
“I know you are.” Kara says, but her face says otherwise. “But we’re having so much fun here together, aren’t we?”
“We are. But you can’t stay home in your sweatpants and ugly socks for the rest of your life. Even I know that.”
“Uh.” She grunts. “But work is so boring and you’re so cool!” She pulls you in for a hug. “Besides, your mom’s a billionaire. She can pay for everything.”
“Yeah, but you’re an adult and you need to go back to functioning like one.” You hug her tight. “I’m not saying you have to get out there now, I just want you to know that I’m ok, and I’ll be fine when you do decide to go back.”
“Ok mommy, I got it.” She jokes and you roll your eyes while smiling. “You know what I’ve noticed? You only call me mommy when things are bad. Like when you’re scared or something.”
"That’s not true!” You try to defend yourself, but you know it is pretty much how it works.
“It is true.” Kara whispers and kisses your head again. “I like how you say mommy, I just don’t like that it’s always in scary situations.”
“Ok.” You let go of her and look in her eyes. “Can we make popcorn and watch Harry Potter, mommy?”
“YESSSSSS!” Kara cheers, clapping her hands and then raising them in a celebratory move. “I’ll make the popcorn and you put the movie. And I’ll be right back, my baby.”
Kara comes back with so much popcorn, you could feed an entire movie theater. You two get comfortable on the couch with lots of cushions and blankets and continue the marathon you started on the day before.
“Hi, my loves.” Lena walks in the living room after work and looks at you and Kara wrapped up in each other while sobbing. “Why are you two crying?”
“Dobby died.” Kara points at the TV and Lena chuckles a little. “It’s a real tragedy, ok?”
“I’m sure it is.” She says ironically. “Then I have something to make your days slightly better.”
“I doubt it, we had a pretty decent day.” You say and she shows you a box of donuts. You untangle yourself from Kara and stand up right away. “Oh wow, I stand incorrect. Thanks mommy!”
“Hey! I’m mommy! Stop throwing it around like it means nothing!” Kara complains pretending to be upset and you grab one donut from the box.
“Here mommy, have a donut.” You give Kara the donut, then grab another one from the box and offer it to Lena. “Here mommy, you can have one too.”
“Stop it!” Kara grabs you from behind making you sit back on the couch. She starts tickling you, making you laugh.
“Wait, why can’t I be mommy?” Lena asks sitting on your other side. She tickles you too. “I’m mommy!”
“You are not!” Kara replies, and her hands don’t stop. “You never once were mommy!”
“Exactly! I deserve more now.” Lena stops tickling you and she protects you from Kara’s hands making her stop. “Tell her, babygirl. Tell her I’m mommy and I’ll buy you more donuts.”
“You!” Kara hisses pointing at Lena. “Come on kid, tell her I’m mommy and I’ll buy you all the food your heart might desire.”
“What the hell?”
“Oh yeah, she’s being Shakespearean.” You look back at Lena. “Well? Aren’t you going to increase your payment?”
“You’re a mercenary.” She jokes and kisses your cheek. “I’ll go shower while you two finish the movie and then we can have dinner?”
“Sure, mommy.” You say making Lena chuckle and Kara complain.
“Hey! I promised you any food your heart desires!”
“Yeah, but you don’t have any money right now.” You point at your head. “Smart.”
“You know what? You just ruined mommy for me.” She pouts.
“Sorry, mommy.”
“God, you’re so freaking cute.” Kara’s pout is immediately gone and she grabs your face and smiles. “No, you didn’t. You can never ruin anything.”
On Monday morning when you walk in the kitchen you see Kara on her work clothes. You smile at her knowing what that means, and you can see Lena is also excited that she’s going back to work. She doesn’t seem excited herself, but you know she’s making an effort, so you’re really proud of her.
In the evening, you hear when she comes back from work, so you put the TV on mute and look back at the door. She throws her shoes to the side, along with her coat and purse, unties her hair and makes her way towards you while unbuttoning a couple of buttons on her shirt.
“Hey! How was your day?” You ask and she throws herself on the same couch you’re in, placing her head on your lap.
“I think half of my problem with today was putting on real pants.” She mutters and you give a soft giggle in response.
“Right. And the other half?”
“I didn’t get to hang out with you all afternoon.” She complains and you smile, playing with her hair.
“You’ll get used to it.” You tell her making her grunt.
“Why aren’t all people as nice as you are? Or fun? Or cool?”
“Or smart.” Lena adds, throwing herself on the chair in front of you and you turn to look at her, surprised you didn’t hear her coming. “God, I wish I could fire everyone in that building and hire you instead. Everyone was particularly stupid today.”
“As much as I am flattered, please don’t fire Aly. I like her.”
“Should we all just quit our jobs and stay home forever?” Kara says calling Lena with her hand. Lena goes to the couch you’re both in, and lays next to Kara, placing her head on your lap, too. You look down giving them a smile.
“I don’t have a job.” You’re still playing with Kara’s hair, and Lena grabs your other hand so you can do the same with her.
“You can quit school. Lena can teach you, and then you can teach me!”
“That sounds like an excellent idea.” Lena agrees, throwing her arms around Kara. “It can be just the three of us forever.”
“Please, don’t encourage this kind of nonsense.” You poke Lena’s cheek. “You know momma doesn’t need much to go completely nuts.”
“Hey!” Kara complains sticking her tongue out at you.
“I’m really proud of you, momma.” You stroke her cheek lightly and her face lights up when she hears that. “I know it wasn’t easy going back to work and wearing real pants. But the only way we can move on and forget all the nightmare we lived, is if we all make an effort to have our lives back.” You see Lena smiling, like you’re so smart she can’t believe it. “I get that it is easier hiding ourselves here in our little world, but the real world out there needs you. They need Supergirl saving them. They need Kara telling them the truth. I wouldn’t want to take that away from them.”
“Oh my God.” Kara wipes her tears and gets up from your lap to look at you. “What did I do to deserve such a great daughter?”
“I know, right?” Lena also wipes away some tears and you smile at her reaction.
“I love you mommy.” You kiss Kara’s forehead, and she kisses yours in return. “I love you mom.” You bend so you can also kiss Lena’s forehead.
“We love you kid. We really love you.” Kara says hugging you, and awkwardly Lena wraps her arms around both of your waists and smiles. “Rao, I love this family.”
You breathe relieved when you feel that finally things will go back to normal. It’s about time.

This is why you should never trust an Imp – Part 4.
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader
Word count: 2155.
It was a good figuring out that you are not in your timeline, but it also made you more desperate to get home. This Kara and this Lena never had to deal with alternative realities, so it’s kind of hard trusting your comeback to them only.
“I know I don’t have a lab at L Corp here, but maybe there’s a place there we can use?” You ask and Lena shakes her head agreeing. “Ok, we’ll go there, and Kara, can you pick up Brainy so he can help too?”
“Sure. Just, wait. Wait a minute.” Kara stops you before you can pick Lena up so you two can fly away. She uses her super speed and a second later is in front of you with a jacket. “It’s cold out.”
You look at Lena, who has a sad expression on her face, like she just realized that Kara is a mom without a daughter. You grab the jacket Kara gave you and put it on. It’s huge on you, but you don’t care, ‘cause it smells like sunshine, just like her.
“I’ll take him there, and can I- can I stay too?” Kara asks shyly and you smile at her.
“I would love nothing more.” You say, truthfully. You want to spend as much time with them as possible.
You pick up Lena, and fly to L Corp and go to her lab. You are doing some speed reading on the matter, while Lena simulates a few scenarios. Kara comes in with Brainy a few minutes later, and he joins making some calculations about what Earth you’re from. Kara looks bored, but she doesn’t want to go home. She just stays there in silence, watching the three of you working. You work all night, and in the morning, Lena calls her assistant and tells her to cancel all of her meetings and not to let anyone interrupt her work in the lab. Brainy has to go to the DEO, but he already did more than you could’ve imagine, because he located the right Earth, and now you and Lena just have to create a portal.
During the rest of the day, the only person who leaves the lab is Kara to pick up some food, and for one Supergirl emergency. She hasn’t told Alex anything yet, so it’s hard not showing up to any call all day. It’s night again, but there’s no way for you to know that, because you’re still underground and you haven’t seen any sunlight.
“Hey.” Kara puts her hand behind your back and rubs gentle circles. You look at her. “You’ve been reading the same page for five minutes now. Let’s go home and sleep a little.”
“We can’t stop now. We’re so close.” You look at Lena for back-up. If she is anything like your Lena, you know that she can’t rest until she cracks the problem.
“We’re really not.” Lena puts her hand on her forehead and breathes deep. “I’ll stay to run a few more tests, and you two go home to rest, ok?”
“Lena, I think we should all go home.” Kara moves closer to Lena and you finally close the book. Kara is right. Your vision is blurry on the sides and you can’t read another word.
“Kara, I can’t leave. She needs me. I have to figure this out.” Lena goes back to the tablet in front of her, and you get up quickly to tell her it’s ok to go home. But your legs are weak for staying in the same place for far too long, and when you try to stand up, you fall on the floor.
“Kid!” Kara runs to you and holds your arm to help you stand up.
“m fine. It’s-I’m ok.” You blur out your words and Kara holds you in one place. You’re pretty sure her firm grip is the only thing keeping you standing.
“That’s it! We’re all going home now. We’re going to shower, have dinner, and sleep all night. Tomorrow morning, we’ll come back.” Kara says and your head lolls to the front. Lena opens her mouth to argue, but Kara doesn’t let her. “It’s not an option, Lena. Look at the kid, look at you! I love you, so I don’t want you to fall into your unhealthy habits again. And I sure don’t want her to learn that from you.”
“You’re right. Let’s go home.” Lena agrees after one look at you. “I could really use a shower.”
“Yeah, you could.” Kara jokes and you smile, even though you’re too tired.
Kara flies you back to the penthouse, because you’re too tired to do so, and you go to the shower while she goes back to L Corp to pick up Lena. You hear when they come back, and when Kara places Lena in the bathtub and turns the water on. You smile at that. They might not be your moms, but they sure act just like them.
“Kid.” Kara knocks on the bathroom door. “You okay in there?”
“Yeah. Almost done.”
“Good. I’ll go pick something up for us to eat. What do you want for dinner?”
“Donuts.”
“That’s dessert!” You hear Kara’s words and you know she’s smiling on the other side. “How about pizza?”
“Great!”
“Ok, I’ll be right back.” Then you hear a whoosh and you know she left. You finally finish your shower and grab some clothes Kara laid down for you. It’s an old t-shirt that she probably used when she was about your age, because it’s exactly your size, and a pair of sweatpants that are too big for you.
You go to the living room and soon enough Lena joins you on the couch. She can sense you’re still distressed so she holds your hand.
“We can do it, kid.” She smiles lightly at you and you agree with your head, but you can’t help a tear that is falling.
“I’m just worried. My Lena is probably worried sick.” You say and she wipes your tears. “I never wanted to cause them worry, I just-I just needed to know if they would be proud of me and my choices.”
“Kid.” Lena holds you sideways, and you let your head fall on her shoulders. “I know you for two days, and I’m already very proud of you.”
“Really?” That makes you cry even harder.
“Are you kidding me? Yes.” She smiles like it’s obvious. “You’re smart, and funny, and good. You might look like Kara, and you might have the Luthors brain, but you’re your own person. Strong and amazing.” You breathe in relief. “I’m sure your moms tell you this all the time.” You agree. “And I’m also sure that whatever you choose, you’ll make them proud, because you’ll do it with all your heart.”
“Thanks, mom. I mean, Lena.” You correct yourself. It’s hard not calling her mom, because she sounds just like yours.
“Yeah.” She tights the hug. “I’m also sorry you’re not my daughter. I don’t think there’s anything in the world that would make me happier.”
“Hey.” Kara flies in through the window with pizza and you smile. “Everything ok?”
“So great, even better now that we have pizza!” You say and look at Lena with a smile on her face. “Gimme, gimme.”
You three stay on the couch and eat pizza after pizza. Kara also brought donuts, and it’s perfect. You look at them, laughing at a joke you made, and their house looks almost homey now. It’s like a daughter was the missing piece in their lives, and that makes you very sorry you can’t stay.
“Hey, can I borrow your phone?” You ask Lena and she agrees, handing you hers. You open the camera and turn back to you guys. “So you don’t forget this.”
You three smile to the camera. Lena has her arm wrapped around you, and Kara is behind her making a silly face.
“There.” You take the picture, and give her the phone back. She stares at the picture for a while.
“I don’t think I can ever forget this.” Lena says and you see she is holding back the tears. Kara agrees, kissing her shoulder and looking at the picture. You also lay your head on the other side of Lena’ shoulder and look back at the picture. Rao, you want them to have this so badly.
You hear a noise in the kitchen and you all look there at the same time. Kara stands up right away standing in front of you and Lena for protection, but you still can see a portal opening. If it’s Mxytopolis you swear on Rao you’re going to break him into pieces (after he takes you back home, obviously).
“Little one?” You hear Kara’s voice and you delicately push the Kara in front of you to the side. “Is it you? Is it really you?”
“MOMMA!” You run to her and she hugs you tight and at the same time gently. Her eyes are full of tears and you both fall on the floor clinging to each other.
“Oh, dear Rao, I thought I had lost you forever.” She holds your face to look at you. You see your momma in there, looking at you with so much love. “I missed you so much, my baby.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to-” You start, but your momma interrupts you.
“I know, I know, little one. It was all that imp. It’s ok, we’re going home now.” Your momma helps you up, and then stands up herself. She looks at herself on the other side of the room. It’s weird. Really weird. “Thank you.” She is still crying. “Thanks for looking out for her. I’m so glad she found you both here.”
“It was our pleasure. She-she is amazing.” Kara says choking up a little.
“You must be very proud.” Lena adds and your momma agrees with her head.
“Couldn’t be prouder.” Your momma looks at you and smiles. You smile too. “Come on, your mom is really worried back in our reality.”
“Give me one minute?” You ask and she agrees, knowing you probably need to say goodbye. You look at Kara and Lena on the other side of the room. “I want to give you guys something. Can you wait a little?”
They nod in agreement and you go into the portal, leaving them behind you.
“Babygirl.” Your mom runs to you and hugs you. “My baby, you’re here. You’re safe, you’re safe now, ok?”
“Mom, I need your help.” You kiss her cheek and then let go of her. She looks worried. “I need your research.”
“Which one?”
“On how to combine alien and human DNA.” You ask and Lena furrows her brows at you. “Please. Please, it’s the most important thing right now.”
Lucky for you, you’re in her lab at L Corp, so quickly she comes back with a flash drive. You smile like you’re holding a precious stone.
“I’ll be right back, I promise.” You run through the portal again and smile at the other Lena, still in the same place at their penthouse. “Here.” You give her the flash drive. “All the research is here. I know how much you two wanted this, us, to be a family.” They both agree with their heads. “Well, now you can.”
“Thank you, kid.” Lena hugs you and you smile. You let go of her and hug Kara too.
“Now I can have my own adorable, and cute, and beautiful Lexa.” She says with a smile and you agree with your head. “Take care, kid.”
“Thanks. You too.” You go back to your momma, waving them goodbye and you both go through the portal. As soon as you do, your mom closes it from your reality.
“Lexa?” Your momma looks at you confused and you shrug. “That’s a horrible made-up name.”
“Hey! I had to think of something on the spot!” You defend yourself and she hugs you. Lena joins right after and you smile. You’re home. You’re finally home. And you can’t believe you went to another reality to find out that no matter where you are, your moms will always love you and be proud of you. “I’m really sorry about this whole thing. I didn’t mean to worry you guys.”
“We know. Jamie broke down and told us everything.” Lena says and you agree with your head. “Thank goodness you told her something.”
“Sorry.”
“We’re just glad we found you, baby.” Lena kisses your forehead. “I would not be able to live without you.”
“Not at all.” Kara agrees and holds your hand. “Just never ever trust an imp again, ok?”
“NEVER!” You smile, and then elbow Kara. “Mom will look good with grey hair, right?”
“SO HOT!” Kara yells excitedly and Lena rolls her eyes laughing. “Now, come on, let’s go home.”
And you do. You go home.
