Pinestar in AO3. Amazing aus, writing and headcannons. All they write is great but my favorite one of late is Arrangements Can Be Pretty (sonadow story).

Making up for lost time. (Eggdad and agere fic) I’ve been obsessed with this one lately and the way this author writes Eggman and Sonic’s relationship is 👌👌👌

unbecoming. Eggman and Sonic’s relationship appears as well and is incredibly painful and wonderful and the same time. The endgame couple is Sonourge.

Waves of Change. The little mermaid but Sonadow and JUST WOW I ADORE ITTT. It’s on hiatus tho.

In Due Time Sonadow Master/ Slave fic BEFORE YOU BELIEVE IS ALL THAT TOXIC SHIT WAIT- Is actually pretty good, and the Sonadow is nowhere near toxic in fact is pretty wholesome. BUT it does have some hard stuff so be careful and read the warnings for each chapter.

Part of The Tribe Wachowski family fic. Pretty good! Sometimes sad but is wholesome.

10. worst part of fanon

I've already answered this, with specifics to the les mis fandom so I shall now apply this to fanon in general:

I'm not sure if this is just me being aroace or what but the fixation on needing to constantly ship characters all the time, even if the piece of media itself is void of romance and is all the better for it.

Once again, I'm not saying that you should never engage a media with romance: fandom is a self-indulgent space and projection is the norm. But it is tiring to only see romance and/or smut about a character when you simply want to see meta or non-romantic art/stories/discussions about them. It's similar to that booktok trend of only advertising their stories using tropes (grumpy x sunshine, mlm etc.); if shipping and romance is the only thing that keeps you in your seat WRT a character or even the piece of media as a whole, then it's a pretty sad takeaway from it.

Typed this whole thing out and now idek if I actually answered the question correctly. Sorry anon, this is what I've got 😔.

Going Les Mis specific: Combeferre wearing glasses 🤭 Yes yes it's a pretty nerdy stereotype but I can't argue with it bc I'm a nerd and I wear glasses. Also people get 150x hotter wearing glasses and Combeferre is already pretty hot so.......

Also smth Combeferre-adjacent, there's never a universe where Enjolras and Combeferre are not soulmates, platonic or otherwise. I WANT WHAT THEY HAVE!! they clearly love each other in canon, in fanon, in AUs...god they're insane.

Under 18s look away I guess? Nothing explicit tho: I got into more NSFW fics recently, with tags I never thought I'd click onto. They're extremely well-written and 8 times out of 10, they tend to use smut and kink to delve deeper (hah) into character exploration as well. That's what I like about fanfic/non-profit writing: topics that would often be taboo in mainstream publishing can be safely explored on page and there's no need for censorship or anything palatable! What you see in the tags is what you gonna get; you've been warned after all! Which is why I dislike the recent trend of demanding censorship on Ao3....

I guess I'm 'ashamed/horrified' about this because I am still rather sex-repulsed IRL lol. I read everything up until the actual intercourse and then my eyes glaze over and only refocus during the aftercare. It's crazy.

(Also I just realised the contrast between my answers for 10 and 19 haha. Yes I love works of smut; yes I'm frustrated when a fandom is oversaturated in smut; yes, both statements can coexist.)

Ghost is still them but Something is Definitely Different. The air around them seems colder and more dense in a way you wouldn't expect from someone so tiny. Just makes them all the more unsettling.

Most bugs don't know why, just "hm they're creepier than usual"

Bugs who know enough about the void can figure out what's up (like Bardoon, and WL).

Bugs who can pick up on things like that, but don't know enough about the void to tell exactly whats up are like "hm, something is fundamentally different but I don't know what" (like Hornet)

Really toying with the idea of if PK is actually dead or just reincarnated again.

Little Ghost is still very young (specifically mentioned in the game somewhere, I do remember this) so yeah Mato adopts them.

All infected creatures just die. Technically they're already dead, but the infection isn't keeping their corpses going anymore. It's more of poison now, and can't really spread anymore.

Except Broken Vessel I want them to be ok ;-; technically when u fight them they're still alive cuz at the end of the fight when the infection leaves they try to get up but just collapse ssshhh they're just slleeppingg they're ok I PROMISE :)

Going back to PK, reincarnated he would be a little more wrymy and a bit less buggy than than the 1st time he reincarnates.

He probably tries to fix up THK some, knows there's only so much he can do with all that they've been through, but 1- he's a bit attached 2- gives him something to do for a while

He's still an asshole tho and doesn't really care much about about ghost or bv, siblings gotta look out for each other (THK does care abt them, as does Hornet)

ellie has been living in jackson for years now with her adopted family! she's very different in some ways and completely the same in others. she's grown to be confident, friendly, impulsive and p flirty when she wants to be, but she's still a goofball and a nerd who loves a bad joke lol

24. what is your favourite thing to learn about?

anything psychology related is really fascinating to me! i like knowing how things work (and don't work) up there, lol. usually it's true crime/fiction related, but i'll pretty much get into whatever. rn i'm looking into the psychology of religion a lot and it is SUPER interesting especially as someone who was raised in a pretty strict christian household.  there are a lot of common indoctrination tactics used by christianity, in particular evangelical christians, that are actually v harmful without anyone really realizing it!

omfg weird question but CAN you talk a bit about the inner workings of the gravity falls fandom c.2013-2015???? i was too young to actually like be involved but like then AND now it just looked like... a Ride

omfg yea i will try my best, it's 4 am tho so no promises on how coherent this will be;;

i wasn't on tumblr while the first season was airing bc i was a wee fifth grader so i did not witness first-hand what people were like at that time. i got on tumblr when i was 12 though, before the second season started airing, and it was Prime Time for all the AUs that people made while they were bored during the break between seasons

the biggest one was reverse falls which was basically a role swap between gideon and mabel+dipper, so they had cool blue outfits and pendants and i guess they were evil?? and gideon was a litle boy like dipper. and also bill was swapped for some reason into will and he was blue instead of yellow and sad all the time. i dont know much else about the Lore, just that i was very into the aesthetics of it all

also. gross but it was super common to see people shipping bill and dipper and when people started calling that out there was a Huge drama topic that came up around ~not shaming people for their ships~ which was a source of discourse that lasted pretty much forever.

then when s2 started airing i got to be a part of the fandom puzzle solving in real time which was really fun. it was supper common to post audio clips reversed to find hidden messages and at the end of each episode you would all race to plug the end credits image through different decoders so you could be the first person to post the solved message. every time a particularly lore heavy episode dropped we would all go buck wild. a tale of two stand Especially.

also its not common now so it feels worth mentioning that there was a huge group of people who shipped bill and ford. and. wow this is embarrassing but i was in fact among them 😔 in my defense i was 14 but. yeah. when that one backstory episode about fords history with bill aired there were a bunch of amvs made for billford and i know what you're going to ask and yes i Did make one myself. and yes it Was set to panic at the disco's "lying is the most fun". unfortunately.

and then uhh final memory, after the show ended there was a real life scavenger hunt for the bill statue that was pretty wild. there were flash drives hidden around the country with coded and stuff and they led to destinations around the us and i wasn't involved in it since i was 15 lol, but it was very exciting to see when new information was discovered, OH and at the time we didnt even know what the end goal was. some people fully believed that it was a wild goose chase and there Was nothing to find. i think the statue ended up being in seattle? but yeah that was cool
