ok so i’m gonna be doing this in a more good-mid-bad format rather than best and worse bc it’s a little harder to judge these guys for their outfits bc most of their appearances are casual appearances and not stage or performance wear . so .

good - the most recent pictures from his instagram about his tour idk if this is a tour outfit or what but this is a very well styled outfit . the colours are cohesive from head to toe the silhouette is loose and gives that trendy oversized almost modern grunge like feel with the red and black as well which suits him more than i expected it to tbh . huge fan of the cargo/parachute pants my only qualm is i’d go a bit heavier with accessories but i think this is super flattering

mid- streamys we all know this oen i’ve talked about it in depth this has rlly good potential to be a great outfit but the layering just felt really blocky to me it wasn’t the most flattering shape for him there was a lot of club lines around the neck area which was a little distracting could be improved by removing the hood i believe . and tucking in the shirt .

bad - the fucking la velada brown hoodie blazer combo deluxe whatever the fuck . i don’t like thin materials made into hoods or trying to replicate the effect of a hoodie to me personally it looks rather cheap despite the fact this garment costs an arm and a leg . it could also be tailored better for dream the proportions just seem off

good- streamer awards . y’all knew it was coming this is such a perfect outfit again it’s styled phenomenally. skipping the option of a tie or bow tie was genuinely the best option for geirge opening up those top buttons giving the area more volume more texture opening it up so you can see and appreciate the accessories with the chain and the tailoring on this outfit is incredible the fit is perfect it is so incredibly flattering on him no notes

mid - la velada . this wasn’t a bad outfit per day but like dreams streamy awards outfit it just felt too boxy . like there was layering going on but it wasn’t giving the desired effect for that kind of mix of textures keeping the shirt closed and untucked was just a little to much of. a straight silhouette for me

bad- this is just twitchcon he doesn’t dress up much so i picked this bc it’s still an outfit he wore to a major event and none of the colours r coordinated or look cohesive in the slightest but like it was a stretch to find something that fit my criteria of not casual instances

good - again i picked steamer awards i like this bc it keeps a lot of sapnap’s personality w the cap as his main accessory i love that and i think the all balck was a good choice for him i definitely think it’d be more flattering that a white shirt this is a good look for him my only qualm is that i wish it was tailored a little better but he looks fantastic

mid - again la velada i love this prada shirt it’s super interesting it’s just his kind of style but to me it just felt like there wa something missing maybe it’s the kind of thing i’d personally style as an over shirt maybe it needed to be like a half tuck situation unbutton the top button idk more texture was needed it was a little flat to me

bad - again this is just a casual photo it was a bit of a stretch for the criteria but i’m peroablly not a fan of the high neck sweater with basketball shorts it seems like it’s mixing two very different vibes i know the anime print is acting as the tie in from kind of smart casual of high necks to the leisure casual of the basketball shorts but it’s not two vibes that i would probably try to bring together . idk this just seems like more of a wide leg jeans sweater to me than basketball shorts .

Is it cool if I ask a bunch of specific questions about your dollhouse? Like what did you make it out of? How big is it? How many rooms are there? And how many dolls live in it?

I want to make one of my own... potentially. I'm torn between making one from scratch or getting that one WalMart made through a resale shop, painting over all the details, and re-detailing it myself. ANYWAY, I need ideas and inspiration.

i love talking about my dollhouse, so ask away!

The dollhouse is the way I display all my dolls, as I like displaying them in little scenes. If they are part of my collection, they live in the dollhouse! that means it’s pretty crowded, with 22 different 18 in dolls (two aren’t in the pic bc they’re getting fixed) and one wellie. there are also 3 dolls im actively planning to get (claudie, Courtney, and Cecile), and there are 4 more on my “if I found them for an excellent price I’d totally snag them” list (Kirsten, ruthie, Emily, and luciana). So it might get even more crowded 😅

here’s an overview pic of the current state of it:

it’s not fully set up yet (as you can tell by the random room full of naked dolls in the top right lol), and most rooms don’t have a proper scene set up atm, but I thought an honest look at what it usually looks like might be helpful lol.

I made it out of storage shelves I bought secondhand. I saw a lot of people making dollhouses online out of bookshelves, but the dimensions just didn’t work for what I was planning. For my plan, the shelves needed to be at least two feet deep (to accommodate beds facing outward), have adjustable shelves (to accommodate the taller furniture), and be either 3 or 4 feet wide to make the rooms large enough for fun scenes.

I found shelves that worked online from hardware stores, but they’d be super expensive, so I set up an alert on Facebook marketplace instead, and got lucky! They weren’t like. Super duper cheap, but they were much more affordable. Because they’re secondhand, most of the floors have a slight dip in the middle, but its not too bad.

The drawback to using shelves with open sides is that you have to make walls, which is really time-consuming (and the cost of materials can really add up!), but it was worth it for me to get the dimensions I wanted. My only real regret is not painting the shelves white before putting them in place. I hate how the ceilings in all my pictures are grey, but at this point it would be really hard to change, as I don’t want to spray paint in my poorly-ventilated basement 😭 The floors are just made from contact paper I got on Amazon and stuck on the shelves, and I’m really pleased with them.

There are nine rooms. Each room is 2 feet deep, 3 feet wide, and about 2 feet high (the heights vary a bit). Overall, the setup is 2 feet deep, 9 feet long, and about 6 feet high. It’s a big boy! Thankfully, there was a nice clear space in the basement for my doll zone, otherwise I never would have been able to have such a big setup 😅 it was really important to me for it to be big, as it’s not just a dollhouse, but also my doll display.

Having a bunch of rooms was really important to me, because I wanted to make themed rooms for a lot of the historical characters. Going across from left to right, top to bottom the rooms are: the modern bedroom (shared by kanani, Jess, Nicki, Mia, and Jessica who is a jly), the 60s/70s/80s bedroom (shared by Julie, ivy, melody, and eventually Courtney - I’m asking for Courtney for christmas so she’s not here yet), a room I haven’t decided about (it was gonna be Kaya’s but her tipi is too big 😭), the 1900s/1910s bedroom( shared by Sam, Nellie, and Rebecca), the 20s/30s bedroom (currently it’s just kit’s, but claudie will share with her when I get her), the 40s/50s bedroom (it’s entirely based on Molly’s bedroom from her scenes and settings, but she also shares with Maryellen and Nanea), the bathroom/laundry room, and the living room/kitchen (which takes up two room slots).

There are some girls who don’t really have a room that fits. Those are Caroline, Elizabeth, felicity, Marie-grace, addy, and josefina. Cecile and Kirsten would also be missing a spot if they were in my collection. Some of them will likely end up sharing the remaining unassigned room, but I don’t think all of them will work in one room. It will probably just end up being like. a very vague fancy historical girls room lol. I mostly want a reason to own Caroline’s bed haha

As far as ideas for your own dollhouse goes - it all depends on how much time you want to spend on your dollhouse build, and the size and shape you want it to be. I wanted mine to be really big with specific dimensions, so I had to go super custom with it. Re-detailing the one from Walmart is an EXCELLENT option if you like the size and shape of it, and/or don’t want to spend forever making pieces of it (I might die before I finish those walls 😭). If you want to do it custom, but don’t care as much about the rooms being deep as I did, I recommend going with a shelf with walls.

I do want to mention that just because you DIY something, that doesn’t mean it will be cheaper (sorry, every diy YouTube channel). The price of a diy project depends on a lot of things, both which you know going in (like your skill level, which limits what techniques you can use for building, and the cost for the basic materials) and things you don’t (like unexpected issues that may pop up, further customizations you want to make later on). That does not mean you can’t make a custom dollhouse on a budget - it just means you will need to plan carefully, find great deals, and spend a lot of time working on it (which can be fun!). Just because it’s not cheaper doesn’t mean it’s not worth it, but price can be an important consideration.

Idea 3: Pizzaplex is an engineering disaster waiting to happen.

An idea that I don't see brought up at all, is the idea that the Pizzaplex is not constructed well.

Remember in FNAF 6 when the tutorial unit said this?

"There may be times when you purchase something of questionable quality, and we don't blame you. Cutting corners is just good business."

Keep this statement in mind while I bring up my next point. As someone who's taken an engineering class, when you are constructing a building, there are a VERY large number of codes (rules) that you need to follow for every conceivable part of it.

Fazbear Entertainment would probably find it a lot cheaper just to pay off the people inspecting the plex than to actually put money into making sure everything is up to code.

They would also try to construct the building as cheaply as possible, trying to "cut corners" wherever they could. They use substandard materials and contractors that don't double-check their work. They built the mall itself over the subterranean remains of their old restaurant, despite this making the ground very unstable.

This all works in my mind because Fazbear Entertainment has been proven to follow the "be as cheap as possible" and "maximize profits by any means necessary" approaches many times in the past.

Here is just one example of a code being violated, according to Section 1006.2.1.1 of Utah Building Codes, "Three exits or exit access doorways shall be provided from any space with an occupant load of 501 to 1,000. Four exits or exit access doorways shall be provided from any space with an occupant load greater than 1,000." We only see 2 public exits in the game, and the Pizzaplex likely holds well over a thousand people at any one time. What's worse is that one of the exits, the only one designated for emergencies, requires a VIP pass in order to be used.

If Fazbear Entertainment is willing to do this to cut costs, who knows what else they have done?

It's why, in my mind, I don't have Gregory live at the pizzaplex after the 3-star ending. Freddy would calculate that it is statistically safer for Gregory to live in his box than at the plex. He instead lives with Vanessa, creating opportunities for them to grow closer.

BTW This has happened in real life, even down to the shoddy construction and profit maximization. It was the Sampoong Department store collapse. Link

Honestly, all of these sound like pretty great ideas, but this one interests me the most. I’ll be super honest, the Vanny/Vanessa arc isn’t top of my interests besides the idea of possession/Agony/corrupting energy. I think the mechanics are interesting, but I find the characters dull. That’s not to say your ideas around them don’t have an audience! I’m just not them. I do like the question of whether glitchtrap’s energy/influence ever really leaves Vanessa even in the 3 star ending. I think Afton’s own agony and rage is too powerful to go down so easily, and she’s a compatible vessel.

But anyway, THIS one really captures what I love about security breach. The pizzaplex. Comfort me would like to believe that it would be an alright (if not wildly overpriced) place to go. (Personal comfort headcanon is that the pizzaplex is pandemic-safe bc hey no human staff plz just let me go there) but also this is Fazbear we’re talking about, this place is safety violations up the wazzoo. Even the freeroaming animatronics without human minders is a lil iffy!

I won’t even start on the INSANE madness that is the Book Version pizzaplex, ik that the books aren’t canon, only canon-adjacent, but that shit is WILD. And also really graphic, just, plain graphic, tw for anyone planning to read/listen to HAPPS especially. A lot of it calls into question whether we can really put it all down to simple corner-cutting. There’s sections of the books at the very least that make me wonder whether the true goal underlying some of the design decisions isn’t the same one that’s been at the heart of fazbear designs, or at the very least Afton Robotics, for decades.

And while I don’t believe glitchtrap is TRULY William in all his former complex glory, I think he’s still driven by the same thing that drove him to…whatever the hell he became in the first place. He’s now a thing driven by Agony, rage and the sheer determination to Continue at all costs. He’s like a memetic virus, and I don’t see a reason why, with him at the heart of so much, that wouldn’t seep into everything around him. I doubt Vanny is the first to be influenced, even if she was the most overt.

Basically I think the in-canon gaming company (the name escapes me) and Fazbear entertainment are sus for more than just heehoo capitalism reasons. I think it was made to be quietly dangerous, whether than was the initial conscious plan, or more likely something subconscious that evolved over time, assisted by FE’s willingness to cut corners.

Idk I’m not good at all this stuff and I don’t really write about theories or anything, but that’s my two pennies worth. Thank you for sending me your cool ideas!!! I hope they all become fics someday

Season 1: omg they look like INFANTS

1. “Home” 1x09. This episode is amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing AND it’s super important to the mytharch AND we get Winchester family drama. One of those early instances of “Wow we need to give Jensen Ackles an emmy like yesterday”. Mary turns up and foreshadows like??? so much??

2. “Scarecrow” 1x11. Super creepy, major “The Lottery” vibes, fuck I just. I love it. 

3. “Hell House” 1x17. Close call between this one and “Something Wicked” but in the end, Harry and Ed and all the hilarity that ensues just. *chef’s kiss*

3. “Jus In Bello” 3x12. It was real hard to decide between this and Ghostfacers but ultimately, Nancy Fitzgerald (aka Ella Lopez) and Victor Henrikson are the actual best and deserve all the love ever.

Season 4: Somehow there is only one episode that is not stunningly amazing?? 

1: “On the Head of A Pin” 4x16. Cas becomes a main character and it is AMAZING and oh my god give Jensen ALL the emmys oh and ALSO we finally learn exactly what Sam and Ruby’s “extracurricular activities” entail. Feels like a movie. We get the reveal that the angels are working to break the seals. Anna is also amazing. Why is this episode so beautiful. I’m fucking crying and so is Dean. I could gush for hours. 

2. “It’s a Terrible Life” 4x17. This episode is just a fucking delight. (Am I giving it such a high score on the basis of The Kink’s “Well Respected Man” alone? Maybe. Honestly I SHOULD be putting Rapture here but oh well. I’m biased.) 

3. “Monster Movie” 4x05. It was hard to decide between this “In the Beginning” “Lazarus Rising” “The Rapture” and “Lucifer Rising” (which all deserve all the praise ever) but ugh ugh ugh this episode is ALSO perfect AND I love it a bajillion. It’s in black and white and the guest actress is SO pretty and also I think I’ve already gone into detail about how the MoTW is a Lucifer Parallel. Also Dean says he’s been rehymenated so TRANS!DEAN RIGHTS!

2. “Free To Be You And Me” 5x03. Funny Destiel buddy cop film, Sam gets to be filtered through the eyes of an audience-stand-in in universe, also contains Castiel’s ICONIC line “but today you’re MY little bitch”. 

3. “Dark Side of The Moon” 5x16. Narrowly beats out “My Bloody Valentine”, “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid”, and “The Song Remains The Same”. I am trash for any pieces of Sam and Dean’s childhoods and also this episode gives me SO MUCH material for beating up John with a baseball bat.

Every inkling of joy, of spark, of color, of childishness, all of it, poured out into this one episode, wherein Sam totally loses his cool and I love it. Sam looks so pretty at the end. Dean is simultaneously an actual child and an actual Dad and I love it. 

3. “Out With The Old” 7x16. I love me some levis, man, don’t know what to tell you. It’s just so fun!!

have you seen yard666sale's store? what do you think of their lineup? and why is their shit so expensive?

i have seen their stuff before, and there’s a few pieces that i really like. i really like their use of machine embroidery because it’s very much used in an “art” way rather than a purely commercial way, and i feel like embroidery itself is something that has a lot of conceptual baggage (for ex. it being traditionally women’s work and the fact that it has now been mechanized) and it’s something i like to use in my own work. so i really like the stuff like this, this, and this that they make. esp the combination of materials. 

the hand painted stuff i’m not as much into, it’s super juvenile looking and not in a good way when it costs up to $100. like the demons on this dress look like the disturbed logo dude and i’m just :/ i also think that like, p much anything machine embroidered looks really nice, and if they had taken similar doodles and machine embroidered them i might be into them a bit more? but idk. i’m also way more into seeing the kind of things they’re putting on slips, or dresses, or some of these more unique pieces that are clearly thrifted than seeing it on like a standard tee or a sweatshirt. 

i also wish they’d put more into their overall presentation and there’s a lot of things that i feel like could be branded better, and small changes just like taking images of their pieces on a person (even if it’s zoomed in, mostly showing the garment–images like this from their tumblr are just a LOT stronger to me) would change the whole feel of the website and the clothes to me in a way that i think would be beneficial, but that’s also just my background in terms of bein a designer, i’m sure someone could argue that what they’re doing now is appropriate but it’s just not really my taste. 

AS for their pricing, i have no idea. computerized embroidery machines are a large initial cost, sometimes up to $1000-$2000, but then the cost of actually running them is super cheap as you’re only paying for thread. and selling thrifted slips (which probably cost around $5 when purchased) for $80 seems super nuts to me. i don’t think they would have any other large overhead costs, they’re doing something that is really common in japanese harajuku brands where they have remixed thrifted pieces and it’s something i’d like to do with my own shop eventually–have a ready to wear line and then remixed originals that are all one of a kind. but i feel like if you’re getting a tshirt at goodwill for $4 and then spending a few hours letting a machine embroider on it then it’s fine to hike up the price by $20 or so just for your time and sell it for $25-$30 but $45 seems excessive? at least for me–i’m not one to tell anyone that an artist doesn’t deserve X amount for their work, folks can charge w/e they want, but just in terms of me explaining why it would cost as much as it does, i’m not sure. i would probably charge more for hand-painted pieces because of the additional time investment, but i always personally tend to err on pricing things lower and attempting to make them affordable bc i think the whole like. fashion concept of upcharging for stuff bc it’s designer or to give it a feel of prestige is just eeeh to me. but that’s just me!

I finally got to go to the Circle Craft Holiday Market! It is a yearly market downtown that is always held on a long weekend. I wasn’t able to attend in the past because I was working but my days off have changed and when my friend asked if I wanted to go I didn’t even pause to think, I just said yes!

A Holiday Market? Hell yeah!

I went in with a budget, which I’m pretty sure I went over. I went in with the plan to buy Christmas presents, I mostly bought stuff for myself. I went in with a plan to buy a healthy meal at some point in the day, instead I ate all the samples.

Suffice to say, the day didn’t go as planned, which I’m glad about because the fun was spontaneous, I like the stuff I bought, and the samples were free!…which in my version of math helps offset the cost of oh say, the necklace I bought… 😉

It was definitely not crowded, I guess most people went on the first and second day it was open? I like that it wasn’t crowded, no fighting to see the displays, easy to walk around without getting bumped, it was much more relaxing than some of the Christmas events I’ve been to. Plus, it was inside so we were cozy warm. 🙂

One of my favourite booths was a company called JusTea. It is a Vancouver based, family run business. They go to Africa a couple times a year and source all their tea from there. The tea is all ethically sourced, and some of them are picked (or is the right word harvested?) by a woman’s co-op. Each tin has a picture of one of the farmers on it, so you can see who was making your tea leaves. The teas smell amazing! I kept taking deep inhales of the teas like I was trying to get high from them or something lol but really, it was just because it smelled that good. There was a fruity tea called Purple Rain that not only smelled delicious but had a taste to match. In the end I bought African Breakfast, which is their version of an English Breakfast or Orange Pekoe. It is a mixture of different tea leaves which gives it a more complex taste. Each tin also comes with a hand crafted spoon that took 9 hours to make. 9 hours on a spoon, talk about a personal touch! The gentleman manning the booth mentioned that when you want to buy more you can go to their store and they will sell it to you in a compostable bag, so you can refill your already existing tin, and not create garbage when throwing out the bag. Another great booth is abeego, they sell reusable beeswax wraps that you can use to keep your food fresh and protected, whether it is covering the top of a bowl of leftovers you have in the fridge or wrapped around the sandwich you’re taking to work. I actually own a set of these, they were a gift, and I haven’t used them yet because they kinda freak me out. Instead of buying any at this booth I just grilled them to get a better understanding of how they work and I am kinda amazed. The beeswax has antibacterial properties so you don’t need to worry about your beeswax wrap touching your food. Like you see in the picture you can wrap it around the cut end of a vegetable (their sample is a cucumber) and it will keep the end fresh. You can take your cheese out of the plastic and wrap it in a beeswax wrap and the cheese will stay fresh and mold free longer. They are fairly low maintenance for care, rinse them off using cold water, use a mild dish soap if you really want, then let them air dry. They can be rolled or folded for storage. An important thing to remember is not to get them hot, they are made out of beeswax after all, and what does beeswax do when it gets warm? It melts. So if you’re putting hot left overs in a bowl and want to use the beeswax sheet to cover the bowl, wait until the food is room temperature before covering the bowl. Pretty easy right? Oh, and when they finally reach the end of their life, which is when they stop sticking to surfaces or itself (this can take a year or more to happen) you can either compost it or rip it up and use it as a fire starter when you next go camping. Which for me will be never, so compost it is! I’ve gone from wondering “what the hell I am supposed to do with these beeswax wraps?” to “I can’t wait to use these!” Super glad I stopped and talked with them. I bought myself a necklace I absolutely 100% do not need, but really wanted, and apparently wanting it mattered more in the moment than needing it lol

Again, a Canadian made product, well, work of art really. The holes in the charm are the Capricorn constellation, my constellation. It is simple, and pretty, and I can see myself wearing it often. She also had a necklace I’m regretting I didn’t get a picture of that is the word fuck, dangling down so you’d have to turn your head sideways to be able to read it if you were looking at someone wearing it. I actually also really wanted that one, but since I spend the majority of my time at work, where I would not be able to wear it, I opted for the one I could actually wear and enjoy on a daily basis. Go figure lol Rachael, the artist, has a lot of beautiful pieces, and since Christmas (and other holidays) are coming up you may want to check out her website at http://www.laughingsparrow.ca This was my most expensive purchase at the Market, and while I wish jewellery didn’t cost so much I can understand why a hand made piece, that is sourced from sustainable materials can’t be cheap. You get what you pay for, and I feel I got something great that will last.

The other edible things I purchased are a jar of Pink Grapefruit & Champagne preserve, which I will instantly make less fancy by putting on toast. I don’t know how to describe it other than delicious. The Preservatory is a business out of Langley BC, they focus on small batch artisanal preserves, and lemme tell ya, they are good at their niche. I have seen them in a shop called All of Oils in Surrey BC but hadn’t tried them until they offered samples. Man am I glad they offered samples. Their website is: https://thepreservatory.com/

Sweet Thea is a bakery out of Langley BC, they are where I got the cookies. I know the package says I bought Ginger Crinkle, and I did, but if you notice, not all the cookies in the bag look the same. That is because the friend I went with bought a bag of Chocolava cookies and we swapped three for three. I honestly don’t know which I like best. Normally I’d be saying of course the chocolate cookies, but the ginger is also incredibly good. They are soft cookies, both types, and just so decadent. We split one of each cookie in half so for our first cookie we got half of each and while normally I am that person to keep dipping in to the cookie package, I didn’t reach again. Not because they weren’t good, but because they were so satisfying I didn’t need more. I didn’t even know that was possible, did you? You can find their website at: https://www.sweetthea.com/home The lady we bought from wasn’t as friendly as people at the other booths but I’m going to assume that is because it was nearing the end of the day and she was probably tired after a long three days working the market. We may have gone at a quiet time but I’m sure the other days were much busier.

That deceptively simple Lemon Square package is hiding an amazing lemon coconut  square inside. That small square is meant to be cut in to four pieces! The flavour is so strong, not in a bad way, that you don’t need more than a small square to satisfy you. And lastly, Whiskey Marmalade by Blaire’s Confectionery. They are a company in Kamloops BC that makes Scottish treats. They had various types of marmalade, shortbread, fudge that isn’t fudge (apparently in Scotland it is called something different), and probably other yummy items that they didn’t have at the booth or I didn’t notice. Hey, I can’t manage to see everything ya know, especially when I am sampling shortbread and fudge that isn’t fudge lol Their website is being redesigned right now and when I tried to go to it was directed to check out their page on Facebook so if you want to find them I’d search for them there. I didn’t sample the marmalade, I hate marmalade, but I thought my brother might like it, so I got it as part of his Christmas present. Don’t worry, he doesn’t read my blog so no ruined surprise for him! I also wanted to buy the fudge that isn’t called fudge but couldn’t bring myself to spend $10 on a food indulgence…says the woman who ended up buying cookies and a lemon bar *rolls eyes*.

Can a couple pieces of art be anymore Canadian than a beaver in a canoe or a mama bear and cubs in a canoe? I’m thinking no.

So there you have it, an afternoon of wandering the booths, buying stuff, hanging with a friend, and enjoying my first Christmas activity of the season. Only 42 more days until Christmas!
