the nightmare before christmas (I love halloween ok)

the birdcage (robin williams owns a drag club, need I say more??)

Fav Chucky moments?
WAYWAYWAY TOO MANY TO LIST IN MY HONEST OPINION HEHEHE!!
Though I have to say the epiphany speech that Chucky had near the end of Seed before he said "I'm Chucky, the Killer Doll, and I dig it" is one of the most underrated moments in Seed since there's so much subtext about Tiffany over-idolizing Jennifer Tilly (aka a small commentary on celebrity fan culture at the time) and Chucky wanting to be equal to Tiffany since, well, they're husband and wife ffs
Honestly wish the ending of Seed had Tiff take what Chucky said to heart and had them all leave Jennifer and her limo guy behind, would've been much more interesting and would've had a somewhat good message on celeb fan culture being p unhealthy if taken too far!

Countdown To Halloween (October 17, 2018 edition)
Welcome back, my Creepers!
I hope this last week has treated you well! Temperatures are dropping lower in my hometown sooner than the last two years over here. Leaves on trees have exploded with various colors all around the city. We’ve already had snow show up in the northern and eastern parts of my state, luckily staying in the more mountainous areas. How is the weather faring in your area this time of year? Are you experiencing autumn weather similar to my area? Is it stormy? Snow covered? Sunny and sweltering? I would like to know!
Anywho, let’s get onto this week’s post!
What’s on my radar this week: When I was younger, we didn’t really have restrictions for trick or treating in my area. Age wasn’t an issue, even when I hit college age and hit up houses after I partied with friends. I feel bad for these kids. I think, even if you’re an adult, you should be allowed to trick or treat as long as you are polite, in costume, and say trick or treat. To fine parents for kids trick or treating over a certain age is messed up and wrong and sends the wrong message to older kids that just want to stay out of trouble and celebrate.
Also, why is all the ghost merchandise I have run across this year freaking adorable?!?
What to watch this week: The Bride of Chucky (this link contains spoilers due to its kill count!). The Bride of Chucky hit another anniversary milestone this year (its 20th to be exact!), and it is my favorite of the Child’s Play movies. Jennifer Tilly is one of my idols, and Tiffany is my favorite out of the roles she has acted. I’m usually not one for slasher fics, but this movie has a place in my heart.
What to do in the valley this week: Witches Night Out is happening at The Village in Meridian tonight (October 17th). All proceeds will benefit the Women and Children’s Alliance. Longdrop Cider is hosting another cider party featuring four limited edition ciders that are made with recycled water on the 19th.
What I’m working on: More #Creeptober posts, but you already knew that, didn’t you? ;D
Reading of the day: Three of Swords, The Moon, Four of Pentacles
Communication is full of smoke and mirrors this week so parties and hangouts are not in your best interest. Flakes are the worst, making excuses and causing hurt feelings. It’s best to chill with your favorite hot drink and stay in. Read a scary book, and wait for this to all be over.
Plans: I finished watching The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell, and am inspired to just create spooky things from scratch. I may dismantle an older dress that I like that’s on its last leg for a pattern, and sew up a spooky dinner dress. I might make a witch hat to go with that dress. The sky is the limit!
Go-tos: Room on the Broom-either the book or movie. Pair up it with caramel chocolates and brown recluse spider cookie clusters.
Stages of my Spooky Tree (as promised) and the foliage changing outside:

Well, that wraps it up for this week! Outdoor decoration updates are a beast of their own so they will get their own bonus posts. Stay tuned! ^w^
