I don’t own Julie and the Phantoms, but I do own my OC Jinx, and I will say as a friendly reminder, Jinx uses they/them pronouns. Alright, let’s begin!

Chapter One

Trouble on the Way

October 12th, 2017

6:45 am

It was an unusually cold day in Pasadena California, the sharp smell of rain still lingered in the air, it was the weekend and I was in my room as per usual. It was oddly comforting, as I was getting sick of the hot sun on my face. Within my phone went off with a solid buzz.

Hey there unlucky!-W

Haha funny 🙄 We’re still going to that party right?

Mmm, I kinda wanna go skating, but I’ll meet you after?-W

Don’t stay out too late Wiiillliam

As I put my phone down I heard a knock from outside,

“Yeah?”

A head poked into my room, to reveal my stepbrother, Malcolm, he had the same shaggy brown hair and comforting grey eyes as per usual his hair looked a bit unkempt but comforting nonetheless.

“Come on Ju-inx we need to go to school! Mom said we can’t be late again. The bus is coming! And you haven’t had breakfast”

“Mal it’s fine, Will is giving me a ride and everything’s going to be fine.”

He turned and gave me a serious look, before ruffling my hair

“You know you’re a terrible liar. Just promise me you’ll go to school okay and hey we could celebrate tomorrow. I know Willie and I know what they call you but you can’t let it affect you too much”

I frowned before eventually nodding,

"Yeah Malcolm. I promise I'll go to school today. "

October 13th, 2017

2:55 am

The walk back from the party was daunting, I wish I was exaggerating, but it was another birthday. See there’s a reason why Malcolm struggled with my name, it’s Jinx to put it plainly. Ever since I was a kid, bad luck followed me like a magnet. From slipping on ice and spraining my ankle to just getting sick every school picture day. I never have caught a break in the luck department. For some reason, it just seems to spike, especially on my birthday. I checked my phone, no texts from Willie, but as I went to check my phone to see if Willie had texted me since I had left the party. Absolutely nothing.

Just gotta get home you’ll see Willie in a few hours, Happy Birthday Jinx, another year of bad luck and misfortune tailing you like a black cat yet again.

I sighed popping in my headphones, singing along and drumming to the beat

”I see the bad moon rising, I see trouble on the way”

I continued to walk, waiting for the bus, I didn’t want to take any chances with ubers and the chance of my step-dad seeing the lights it was better if I just took a bus.

I continued to walk before feeling something hit the back of my head. My vision started blurring before feeling that hit to the back of the head yet again, and as I touched the back of my head I felt blood. I was seeing my blood.

“Hey what the hell!” But it sounded slowed like my head was underwater, I was struggling to even stay conscious.

October 10th, 2020

Willie sat patiently waiting for Alex, did he pass on, did Caleb find him and the others, his head racing with thoughts, his leg moving up and down nervously.

And then he was there in a small flash of golden blonde.

“Willie hey! I’m so sorry I was late but I have great news”

Willie didn’t wait a single second before hugging him.

Alex melted into his arms smiling into the hug instantly.

“Hey. Is everything okay?”

Willie nodded, pushing back the tears that were slowly forming in his eyes.

“So, I take it that wasn’t your unfinished business.”

Alex sighed, slowly pulling away,

“Yeah but listen, no more stamp! Julie, the lifer, she saved us!”

At this point Willie was still hugging Alex, he felt so warm, so safe. Skating had always been a solace sure, but this was different.

Alex stopped hugging Willie for a moment,

“Is everything okay?”

Before Willie could answer his phone started blaring an all familiar song, Bad Moon Rising by Clearwater Revival. And as he checked it was a notification plain and simple, a text notification, with two simple words with a ghost emoji and black cat emoji

I'm super ready to learn Jaekyung's back story! I feel like maybe he had a hard time growing up or getting into the MMA scene or something similar that gave him that bad attitude (not that it'll justify it). Like, I wonder if he grew up poor or low-middle class - he seems to really dislike the designer merch. His house, though expensive and likely designed by someone known for interior design, may be the only thing he actually likes b/c it provides him privacy and quiet.

THIS!!!! no cause the lack of backstory regarding Jaekyung is killing me- we definitely should be getting one to explain why he is the way he is(but it doesn’t excuse it like u said)- and i definitley agree that he probably had a hard childhood- i could see him growing up poor or being bullied and ill tempered so he used mma as a way to cope and self protection- and i love your observation regarding his distaste to designer items and gifts in general but him seeming to like his house- maybe i’m just reading ti much into it but this is so interesting cause i believe that this could also be teasing his backstory or how he actually thinks and perceives things. If he indeed grew up poor maybe those designer items reminds him of a time when he didn’t have much? Or if he grew up rich it could be flaunting how he grew up in a materialistic household rather than a loving one?! that would be an interesting concept indeed- there’s so many possibilities- i love hearing everyone’s theories and observations!

Guys the real Jinx has finally JUST begun- and now i’m here to shove my jinx theories down your throat before the plot starts plotting

(potential spoilers ahead)

So I heavily believe that Dans grandma is going ti pass soon, I feel this will be a major breaking point for Dan, and add this with the most recent development with the asswipe Jaekyung and we’re going to get a detached ooc Dan. don’t get me wrong, I love Dan just as he his but I hope this next arc will have him grow more of a spine cause my baby is too much of a people pleaser

Now what could develop from this could go many different ways but I believe that Jaekyung will notice this behavior and it would go one of a few ways (or multiple): he’ll become even more temperamental with dan and they’ll get into some fight and dan will not back down. I could either see this threatening Jaekyung or he’ll be shocked and be “concerned”(probably not concerned but somethjng adjacent to it) Jakeyung will potentially fire dan and dan will be on his merry way, but I could also see Jaekyung being “concerned” from the get go but i consider this unlikely considering how stinky this trash can if a man is- but if Dans grandma does die I could totally see Jaekyung toning down his asshole front for a few seconds a treat Dan with bare minimum respect as his “condolences” (i cannot see him treating Dan with any type of respect, at least not this early in the story so I won’t even entertain the idea)

But with the chase arc coming up and with the hinted kidnapping plot arising I believe that it’s heavily implied that Dan will get kidnapped by these mobster(probably after his potential release from his job with Jaekyung)- but i could totally see this taking a pearl boy turn where Jaekyung himself get grabbed and roughed up with Dan is also grabbed and taken advantage of elsewhere and is made to believe more bullshit- but it’s also possible where it’s just dan or jaekyung taken (i’m leaning more towards dan)- either way this would be the point where Jaekyung realizes and come to turn with his feelings for Dan and goes all alpha on the mobsters (lol)

But of course things won’t be that easy- I think Dan will be, of course, traumatized from all these recent events and not give into Jaekyung and his bullshit so easily. I really hope Dan just doesn’t easily accept him with open arms, I want him to realize how Jaekyung has treated isn’t okay and and stays distant for a bit before giving in, but let’s be honest it could easily go the former as well- but either way I expect there to be snot and tears from Jaekyung’s end- i need to see him groveling on his hands and knees asking for forgiveness

To be honest there’s so many different routes this story could go- Mingwa totally 180 me with this recent plot development- i was NOT expecting there to be a kidnapping trope but bro i’m eating that shit UP- i’m so pumped and excited- i cannot wait ti see where she takes the story

and these r just a few of my theories- i have many more and will probably share them as the story progresses cause i will make my inner thoughts all of your guy’s problem- also keep in mind that i have no idea what i’m talking about- these theories r just theories, i could be totally off the mark but u never know (i’m so anxious to find out)
