i think mappa just makes things look too polished and pretty, in a bad way. i wont call gege akutami's style ugly per se, but it helps w the vibe. two examples are the manga having a full vertical page, but anime usually adapts that by just panning up, the angles being different somehow change the feeling, too.

god i loved nobara so much, and her motivations. she was so cool and refreshing as a female character in a shonen show. could hold her own, had motivations outside the men, and never became a love interest. im so sad. i need a cute little slice of life about Saori, Fumi, and Nobara living in Tokyo. Throw Maki in there too. thats our main cast.
