Pavlovic oder Millionentransfer?

Thomas Tuchel forderte im Sommer eine „Holding-Six“ und diese wurde mit Joao Palhinha (FC Fulham) auch eigentlich schon verplichtet. Der Transfer platze allerdings am Deadline Day. Und jetzt? Rund fünf Monate später sieht Tuchel eher auf anderen Positionen Handlungsbedarf. Auch weil sich ein junger Spieler aus den eigenen Reihen aufdrängt! 

Auch wir haben uns die Frage gestellt - Pavlovic oder Millionentransfer? Wir haben ihn mit Palhinha und Zubimendi verglichen. 

Zuerst fällt natürlich ins Auge, dass Pavlovic mit seinen fünf Profispielen nicht mit seinen Konkurrenten mithalten kann. Wenn man seine Stats allerdings auf „per 90“ vergleicht, sieht das ganze schon anders aus. 

Die Rollen von Pavlovic und Zubimendi ähneln sich. Zubimendi (bei Real Sociedad zentral im 4-3-3) und Pavlovic (bei Bayern zentral im 4-1-4-1) spielen in ihren Teams die klassische Holding-Six. Palhinha (bei Fulham im 4-2-3-1) orientiert sich eher auf der rechten Sechs und hat mit Tom Cairney einen Partner auf seiner Position. 

Pavlovic glänzte bei seinem Startelf Debüt vor allem in der offensive durch seine Standards. Auch seine Passwerte lassen sich im Vergleich sehen. Er überzeugt mit 61,2 Pässen per 90 (Zubimendi 43,0 / Palhinha 35,8). Gerade seine kurzen Pässe (weniger als 15 Meter) sitzen - 94,2% vollständige Pässe. Trotz seiner 19 Jahre füllt Pavlovic direkt die Rolle des defensiven Spielmachers aus. 79,1 Ballkontakte per 90 in seinen ersten fünf Profispielen sind ein extrem starker Wert. 

In den Verteidigungsaktionen hat Palhinha die Nase vorne. Nicht nur seine 5,35 Zweikämpfe per 90 und 2,80 gewonnenen Zweikämpfen per 90 sind herausragend, sondern seine Werte im letzten Drittel. 0,57 Zweikämpfe per 90 sind hier absoluter Spitzenwert. Er gewinnt 64,4% der attackierten Zweikämpfe (Pavlovic mit 63,6% auf Ähnlichem Niveau) und setzt 2,04 Blocks per 90. 

Zubimendi vereint quasi die Spielertypen Pavlovic und Palhinha. Er ist zwar im statistischen Vergleich in wenigen Stats führend, fällt aber so gut wie nie aus dem Raster. Besonders seine Heatmap beeindruckt und könnte das fehlende Puzzleteil im Spiel der Bayern sein. 

Fazit: Palhinha und Zubimendi sind unglaubliche Talente und könnten beide fast perfekt in den Kader der Bayern passen. Allerdings sprechen die Stats aus seinen ersten fünf Bundesliga Spielen für Pavlovic. Es wäre fatal dem jungen Pavlovic einen ebenfalls noch nicht fertigen Spieler vor die Nase zu setzen. Unserer Meinung nach, könnte Bayern mit etwas Geduld, hier einen zukünftigen Nationalspieler entwickeln, der über Jahre diese Position im Bayern-Mittelfeld prägen könnte und dadurch die Millionen für eine neue Holding-Six sparen.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how Joao Palhinha does at Fulham this season. Defensive midfielder, their captain, the rock in a midfield that most of the league in Portugal couldn’t hang with last season, strong passing stats (like 3 games where he was below 80%, got up to 100% in one game). I could see him doing well under Arteta at Arsenal. And for £20M, if he helps them stay up, he could be the bargain buy of the season for me. Excellent scouting Fulham, hope it works out. 👍🏾

Palhinha remains a complicated issue at Bayern, despite holding a basic verbal agreement with him, the problem lies in having renewed with Fulham.

According to Sky, Fulham would not accept less than €60M for Palhinha, a price that Bayern are not willing to pay, currently there is no offer from Bayern for Palhinha making it a cold issue but not completely closed.

Palhinha despite having other clubs interested he is adamant he only wants Bayern.
