I'm currently drawing and figuring out an akumatized Marinette look and I'm on my fourth (update: FIFTH) draft.

Which doesn't sound too bad but for each draft I have several SEVERAL other sketches for how it could look or what I could change

I'm so annoyingly particular about an akuma design looking JUST RIGHT

Ever since in like- 2019 when I took the time to see what all akumas had in common

All of them have something weird going on with their eyes or some change to their face, there are exceptions but even they generally follow the rule

And none of them are conventionally good looking usually but their color pallets stand out

I think it'd be neat if canon further emphasized they are ugly because that was what their feelings messily created at the moment of being akumatized

But that is more headcanon than based in canon

And yes that is being incorporated into my JOTG au stuff

I think canon does a good job with akuma designs even if it could be better

But anyway- once I finish my Akumanette's (right now her name is Lady Virulent) story I'll share her to the world and hopefully be satisfied with it and probably share all the drafts and concepts I went through

Did you guys want JOTG Alya? I wanted to draw JOTG Alya. AND it’s art for National Pansexual Pride Day! (Well, according to google I think, december 8th)

I haven’t blurbed much about what Alya is like in this au online yet. JOTG Alya isn’t gonna be too different from canon in personality but I am working on shifting how she interacts with others and how much impact she has on the story. Largely I like what Callimara has suggested for a rewritten version of her and I’ll be adding to that since she has said she’s ok with it. 

She’ll still be credited of course when I actually WRITE THIS

I am terrible at drawing out the ideas I’ve collected for this au over the past year but hopefully I’ll be able to get more stuff down for Alya to grow interest lol.

It’s been a hot minute since I posted somthn for ml so here ya go!

I’m playing with the idea of having Kagami have a disability of some kind in my AU since I think it might help some other areas of the plot and arcs I have planned out so far. Mainly with Chloe’s arc but also with others. I’ll avoid giving spoilers for now but Chloe has a VERY big shift in her arc that Kagami might have a part of.

Though I still don’t know what KIND of disability Kagami will have and I still don’t know if I will implement it. I am currently researching leg related disabilities but I haven’t found anything that I think will fit (I am open to suggestions). SO for now its an idea that I’m keeping on the back burner as I focus on other areas that I still need to flesh out before I... write the first chapter...

Like Chloe’s redemption arc! That I need to be perfect apparently cause I’m a perfectionist.

But on the other hand, more related to the actual art, I have finally settled on a design that I like for Kagami! When I first did a “redesign” for Kagami it was for my first Chlogami art thing I posted, and at the time I hadn’t fully decided on a design so it was rushed, her hair is now different and more similar to canon so I’m a little hesitant to call it a redesign now. Just.. a stylized version! The colors here are a little different and blue because I shifted it for the background.

Yes, I'm giving Chloe a redemption arc. Though, it doesn't fully come into play until Season 2 (at least from what I have planned).

No, she doesn't avoid consequences as easily as she did in canon. Like, really doesn't. Miraculous consequences :3

Her and her family? Love-hate relationship, they use each other to get what they want. Chloe acts like it doesn't hurt her. Whatever. It's not like she doesn't do the same so it's fine. She's fine.

Her and Marinette? Complicated. Don't ask either of them about it, they don't want to talk about it. Please don't ask.

Her and Adrien? She thinks of him as a brother that she cares for a lot. He isn't actually arm candy unless he's arm candy in specific circumstances. Tho ngl she kinda wants to barf when people think "adrikins" is said in a romantic way rather than a teasing way

Does Adrien put up with her bullshit? Not for very long. It's... a bit of a wake up call.

Does Sabrina put up with h- she's actually not in this au. Or... the same class ig. So far I'm not planning on using her in the story

This part is more spoilers spoilers: In the beginning they really don't like each other. It takes a bit before they realize their similarities and kinda like each other. Just a teeny bit. Nathaniel and Marc have to put up with them as they try to make the club, Nathaniel and Chloe founded, work.

Chloe is one of the most influential people that is completely on board with Ladybelle (Ladybug but she changed her name. I'll explain later why Ladybelle and it's not because she thought "Lady Beautiful") in this au. Cause in this universe, people are more hesitant to the new vigilantes in town. Other than Alya, Chloe is pretty smitten with Ladybelle (and totally thinks the name is meant to be Lady Beautiful).

Adrien's love of heroes rubbed off on her while growing up and she's pretty embarrassed at first by her infatuation. Only until Ladybelle did she REALLY be into superheroes. It kinda surprises Adrien. He cries a little inside when she's not as interested in Chat Noir.

Eventually Chloe will get her hands on the bee miraculous.

But that. That is where things go oh so wrong.
