''Spare me the lecture, old man, I'm not your little kid anymore.'' - @jp-todd-rp
@jp-todd-rp
No. He wasn't. And yet...
A hulking six foot two, two-hundred-and-twenty-five pound immovable force of a man. He was far from the scrappy child he had met a lifetime ago in that alley. And yet...
He also had made several questionable choices since then, too. Reprehensible choices. And yet...
"Cigarettes contain several carcinogens and shorten your life expectancy." Batman continued on with his lecture regardless. He would send over the relevant research later.
"Not to mention Agent A abhors the smell." He wasn't above playing the Alfred card.

Grace woke up alone.
Head pounding, she just lay there, mouth feeling as though it was full of cotton. Bones hollow, the aching hole in her chest more prevalent than ever. It took her a while to form an actual thought.
This wasn't her room, she realised. It was one of the guest rooms. Absently, Grace wondered why Bruce had moved her. But then, he wasn't there to ask, so she soon decided it didn't matter.
His absence felt like another blow. She had gotten used to him being there, keeping silent watch over her when she came to with those haunted, resigned eyes. But Grace supposed that everyone must have their limits. Batman included.
Well... Good.
She didn't want to wait for someone to come in. For the parade of wellmeaning and heartbroken pleas. For the offers of support she knew were genuine but enevitably would do nothing. So Grace decided she just wouldn't. She'd leave before they had the chance.
Unchallenged, she made her way through the corridor, down the stairs to the entrance hall. There was no sign of anyone, which somehow made her steps feel that much heavier. But then wasn't that what she'd wanted?
Her hands tremored lightly as she reached for the door, stepping out into the manor grounds and setting off in the direction of the city with a singular goal in mind.
She needed a drink.

"Just curious." He shrugged, idly twirling his pencil between his fingers. "Been thinking some thoughts this week. What's it like specifically for you then?"

With the corridor abandoned, Joker had an easy time navigating his way down to the delapidated room. The keys tinkled as he found the one he needed and unlocked the first, then seccond lock with long fingers. He hummed contentedly under his breath, taking his time. There was never any rush at this time of day.
He wondered how much the boy had put together in their time apart, what stories he might tell this evening. What would be truth and what would be lies. It amused him, the chuckle rumbling his throat, and on rusty hinges, he swung the door open, allowing his silhouette to be cast into the pitch black room, the light illuminating the pale face, strapped up, immobilised in place.
He said nothing, waiting. Watching.

"Do you sometimes think it would have been easier to have just stayed catatonic?"
Damian's tactless question broke the quiet between them. His feet dangled over the edge of the roof of Todd's building, having used him as an excuse to stay out until sunrise.
He wondered if his brother would understand. If anyone would.

rainstorm - @jp-todd-rp
It had started as a minor annoyance.
A couple drops falling here and there from the always gray sky of Gotham.
The slight inconvenience had quickly turned into an actual turnetial downpour right as Nightwing touched down on the tallest building in the city.
The smart thing to do would probably be turn in for the night, head home, shed his costume and soak in a long hot bath before getting an almost full night's rest.
And yet-
Here Dick was, soaked to the bone and chilled to his core waiting.
The things I do for this city.

⭐️⭐️ - @jp-todd-rp
For each “⭐️” I get, I’ll write a headcanon about our muses.
After they work things out and start really talking to each other again, Bruce just enjoys sitting outside somewhere shoulder to shoulder with Jason having a drink. They sit out there for hours sometimes and don't even speak to each other, just enjoying the company of each other.
2. Bruce always believed that Jason would take over for him as Batman. Believing that Jason would be the best to take over as Batman. Even with the use of firearms, Jason would be a damn good Batman.

''Happy birthday, sweetheart.'' - @jp-todd-rp
@jp-todd-rp | Grace's birthday!
Warmth bloomed in Grace's chest as an easy smile spread across her face. With a light touch of her fingers against his jaw, she brought their lips together softly.
"Thank you, darling."

@jp-todd-rp continued from [x]
"Take what, Jason?" Tim asked as he cleaned and redressed another wound. "Robin? It's not his to take." If Dick ever said anything, then Tim might actually listen as long as he wasn't an ass about it. Bruce though? Bruce could try all he liked; it wouldn't be the first time Tim had out stubborned him.
It said a lot that Tim was here with Jason instead of by Bruce's side. The facts spoke for themseves; Bruce went too far and he didn't have grief to hide behind this time. Tim had spent a year and a half pulling the man back from the brink, getting him to eat and sleep and take breaks and finally function again. All whilst disguising his own home life. And now? Well... people like him were known to have a strong sense of justice.
"Antiseptic warning." He said, voice flat as he smeered it over bruised knuckles and wrapped them again. No one liked being surprised by the sting.

Jason sniffled, quickly wiping his nose when he thought Bruce couldn't see him, and he held himself straight. ''I'm really alright, B - really. Just a bit of a cold.'' And Jason twitched his nose, attempting to fight down the sneeze that couldn't be fought.
He sneezed, loudly, startling the bats in the Cave. - @jp-todd-rp
@jp-todd-rp
Bruce exhaled. He had been taking his time getting ready for this exact reason. Robin wasn't fit to be out tonight, or tomorrow night either most likely. But he had been hoping Jason would come to that conclusion on his own.
Instead, he was quickly being reminded of just how stubborn his son was.
With two fingers, he plucked a tissue from his utility belt and crouched to meet the boy's eyeline. "Here, Chum. Blow your nose."
He took in the boy's clammy skin and pale nose and braced himself for an argument. "...I think you should stay in tonight, Jason."
