Almost a 100 of them sit prettily in mod Lor's home at the moment. So, be prepared to get your shipping number and confirmation soon!

Those of you who didn't get a zine will be able to get it on a final stock sale, which we will be posing about soon.

Oranges

The other kid - “Mr. Brown,” as Sensei Kreese called him - smiled at Johnny on break when Johnny came and sat next to him.

It was mostly a whim, because the kid seemed as out of his element as Johnny was — overwhelmed by such a powerful, frightening teacher and such powerful, frightening classmates. Tall bodies, broad shoulders, fast and lean and all of them the best in the Valley. At thirteen, Johnny hadn’t made any friends since his mom married Sid and they moved up to Encino Hills.

Maybe this kid could be his friend.

Hello! This is an interest check for a possible The Karate Kid/Cobra Kai fan zine focused on your favorite characters of the franchise!

Here’s what we are thinking the zine would contain, loosely: Poems, One shots (~2k words), Illustrations, Comics (max. 2 pages)

You can collaborate with others to have an accompanying artwork to your written content or write for an illustration.

You can submit your own writing (illustrated or not)

You can submit your own piece of art

We won’t be accepting any works with NSFW content, character bashing, or explicit shipping (there’s a plan for a second zine focused on it, so hang in there!)

We would like this zine to be posted on Gumroad, downloadable with voluntary donations, which we would forward to a charity chosen by the participants.

This is what we have in mind so far, so before we get the ball rolling, we want to do an interest check to help our planning process.

After we get sufficient responses, we will come up with a deadline and send out another form for people who are interested in submitting their work.

Last week we posted this interest check here, and now we are launching our official socials to start the project properly!

This is a The Karate Kid/Cobra Kai fanzine focused on your favorite characters of the franchise!

The zine will feature artists and writers, and some even have suggested to contribute with a recipe inspired by the show/movies. The sky is the limit for your creativity!

You can collaborate with others to have an accompanying artwork to your written content or write for an illustration. We will survey artists and writers interested in doing so.

Right now we are in the process of setting up the final touches, hoping we can get this to completion, up to a physical zine with merch bundles.

STRETCH GOALS REWARDS

As part of the Merch Designs for the Zine, we have three sets of trading cards featuring the Thee Dojos: Miyagi-Do, Eagle Fang and Cobra Kai.

When these stretch goals are reached, we will add them to all the buyers of the Merch Pack, the Badass Bundle and the Balance Bundle. The designs are incredible, so we hope we reach all of our goals to have them produced!

LAST DAYS TO GET YOUR APPLICATIONS IN! You have until June 25, 2021. Once the forms close, we will send you an email to confirm your participation

The The Karate Kid & Cobra Kai Fanzine is a charity project to celebrate your favorite characters from the franchise. All of the money collected through the digital or physical distribution of the zine will be forwarded to a charity chosen by all of the participants.

Here is the timeline of the project, and here are the requirements to apply. Please check them out before you fill the form to see if you're okay with both the schedule and specifications.

Here are the three different forms to apply to be part of this:

🖌️Call for Merch Artists Form If you are applying as both an artist and a writer, fill both forms and add a note on the last part of the form. If you are applying to do another type of creative work (ie. a recipe that could be illustrated) fill the writers form.

We do want to make this into a physical zine with merch bundles, so we hope that, even if you do not decide to participate, you are interested in buying from us!

LegoCobraKai is a Karate sensei from Reseda, California. He is a two time All Valley champion and the victim of an illegal kick to the face. He likes Coors Banquet, muscle cars, martial arts, Iron Eagle, Iron Eagle 2, and cavemen. He doesn't know what a Fanzine is, because he's not a nerd, but he's very happy to be a part of whatever it is.
