Greenwich Park is a thriller that I’ve been meaning to make time for ever since I read some great reviews. I read it with my lovely sister @chrissireads and as always, we both really enjoyed the experience of reading it and discussing what we thought was going on. ⁣ ⁣ This is the story of a pregnant woman, Helen who is having a child after years of trying. She finds support from a stranger, Rachel at some ante-natal classes that they both attend. However, it isn’t a spoiler to say that Rachel isn’t your conventional mother to be. She smokes, drinks and seems to be strangely attached to events in Helen’s past that also involves her husband and their best friends. As secrets are uncovered and truths emerge, the tension becomes unbearable and events occur that change many lives forever. ⁣ ⁣ As with all good thrillers, it’s very difficult to say too much about the plot for fear of spoiling it! Luckily I didn’t guess everything that happened (which I always prefer) but with some instances, I had to suspend my disbelief slightly. I think it must be difficult for authors to come up with the killer twist while still keeping some authenticity and I do think Katherine Faulkner did this well.
