yeah Kiramager is good. Just like a really Solid sentai; nails all the basics you expect but also does some really cool subversions on what the genre's usual lessons would be and dips into some neat themes at times. Just a good Sentai I can easily recommend no problem

Minific idea: An MOTW that has the ability to make digital creations manifest in to the real world attacks the comeptition Tametomo's in. He successfully manipulates the gamers with him (the competition this time was an fps) into thinking like they're in a game to shoot the MOTW down (without changing into Kiramei Yellow) or alternatively, Tametomo leads a bunch of gamers into winning the fight against an MOTW using everyday things XD

Did you just accidentally kinda describe Bugsters? Because I think you accidentally kinda described Bugsters. They're the antagonists of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. Which, of course, stars one doctor-gamer, Hojo Emu. And he has a comrade who is themed after FPS games. Which means...

CROSSOVER TIME!!!

Tametomo was positively giddy with excitement as he walked around the convention hall with none other than Hojo Emu. Genius Gamer M himself! And he even got him an exclusive pass and everything! How sweet was this?

And of course, no meeting with M was going to complete with a little competition between them.

The two gamers had made a deal- they weren't going to play their usual specialties (RPGs for himself, and platformers for M), but rather a new game that was under development at Gemn Corp. Tametomo had no idea how Emu had gotten Gemn Corp to agree to that, but the sly smile Emu had when he suggested the idea made Tametomo think he had an in with the company.

"I don't know what I have to be here though." Tametomo sighed as their grumpy third wheel made his frustration and confusion known once more.

"Taiga, sorry, but it was Nico who insisted," Emu beseeched. Taiga harrumphed, but didn't say anything more.

Currently, they were on their way to the venue of their exhibition match. They were actually running a little late, since so many people were coming up to them.

They were almost there when they got waylaid one last time. However, this person made Emu freeze and stop in his tracks, before his eyes narrowed t him.

"Kuroto." Emu greeted coldly, his hand going into the pocket of his coat. "What do you want this time?"

"It's Dan Kuroto Shin to you!" cackled the man, sounding rather mad- the ax-crazy kind.

"Whatever." Taiga was utterly nonplussed. "How did you get out of your prison this time?"

"...His prison?" Tametomo managed to say, after getting over his shock. "Wait, who the hell is this guy?"

"How dare you! You should be bowing down before me, the god!"

"...Seriously?" Tametomo deadpanned. He turned to Emu and Taiga. "Did this guy seriously say he was a god?

"Unfortunately." Emu replied seriously, and Tametomo stared at him in shock. "Look, Kuroto, I don't want to fight you today of all days-"

"Oh, but you will!" Kuroto said with a screeching laugh. He lifted a small, red device that looked like a game cartridge and pressed a button. UCHUU NO SAGISHI! the device announced.

"Wait, isn't that the game-"

Kuroto's device produced bright balls of light that spread out throughout the hallway. One of them produced a weird, bean-like creature with stubby legs and no arms. The rest of turned the place into what looked like equipment on a spaceship.

"Tametomo," Emu said urgently, pulling his hand out of his coat to reveal a similar device in neon pink. In his other hand was a contraption he placed at his waist, which produced a belt that wrapped itself around his torso. "Transform, quickly!"

"What-" Tametomo watched in confusion as Taiga followed suit with his own similar devices.

MIGHTY ACTION X! BANG BANG SHOOTING! Their own devices produced similar flashes of light- Emu's turning into pink blocky boxes, and Taiga's into what looked like cans of toxic waste.

"Henshin!" Emu and Taiga called.

Tametomo fumbled with his changer. "Oh wait- Kiramei Change!"

In an instant the trio were transformed into their hero forms. Tametomo looked to Emu. "Uh... why are we fighting this thing, again?"

"It's a Bugster," Emu explained. "If it gets loose, we could have another Game Disease outbreak on our hands."

"What...? But it looks so cute though- oh holy shit!" Tametomo swore as the creature suddenly grew large, scary fangs and shadowy arms that brandished a serrated, mean looking knife with red liquid dripping off it. "Alright, that thing is definitely a monster!" he said, grabbing his gun.

Taiga huffed out a laugh beside him, eyeing his blaster with interest. "So, you're a gunslinger too, huh?"

"...What do you mean, 'too'?"

"Taiga-san is Kamen Rider Snipe," Emu said helpfully. "Shooting stuff's kinda his thing."

"Oh, nice!" Tametomo crowed.

"Oi! Don't just ignore me! I'm a god! Worship me!" Kuroto stamped his feet like a petulant child. "Attack attack attack!" he yelled out as the creature, and a few turkey-headed henchmen, charged at the two Riders and one Ranger.

"Don't think so!" Tametomo crowed as he shot his blaster, immediately dispatching several of the henchmen before they even closed the distance in the short hallway.

"Heh. Not bad." Taiga said, sounding reluctantly impressed, all while shooting the Bugsters without even glancing in their direction. "But not as good as me."

Tametomo grinned under his helmet. "Heh, you're on, old man."

Emu sighed. "And I thought I was the one he was competing against..."

It is interesting to see the different sentai and what each color has in common or different with previous seasons, there are some general ideas for example the pink ranger has some cute traits and the red is the passionate leader. in one season the green sentai is cool like hikari and then goofy like sakuya. You are right you could write an entire thesis on the evolution of super sentai especially the red being the leader and how the archetype of the leader has changed from the first sentai to the later. a red sentai that really stands out for me is kiramei red juuru because he is the "softest" i guess that i have encountered so far. It was even played in the series with tametomo being a more suitable leader at first.

yeah that's like a whole separate essay there about the shift in types of leadership.

in the beginning the militaristic aspect of sentai made for reds who were frequently like stern, reliable captains giving orders. which over time gradually turned into reds who were "mood makers" you could say, whose leadership was more about the sheer gung ho enthusiasm and inspiration to fight they brought to the team.

and we still get quite a few of those of course but the even more recent shift is towards "empathetic leadership" i guess i'd call it, where they're the one on the team who's the most attuned to how other people feel, which in the eyes of the franchise now makes them the best leadership choice.

and i think that's very cute, to look at the arc of going from a lot of serious dudes making rational judgment calls (i mean. by sentai standards of rational) to now where having emotional intelligence and understanding is often seen as the most important thing.

The rest of the ToQgers arrive with a special guest from the Shadow Line.

A day has passed since the Kiramagers had teamed up with Hikari and Kagura of the ToQgers. After they visited the organization that backed up the Kiramagers, Hikari and Kagura went home with their cousins and stayed with them for the night.

Hikari and Kagura reconvened with each other in the same train station where they first arrived in the city as Tametomo and Juru went to CARAT to monitor the city.

"Have you called Right and the others?" Hikari asked Kagura.

"I only managed to contact Mio-chan," Kagura admitted.

"I managed to contact Tokacchi, but I don't think he can spare much time," Hikari reported with a forlorn expression. "He's got his hands full with Cram school."

"That leaves Right."

Before anything else could have been said, the two ToQgers witnessed a myriad of people running away from something from somewhere. The two of them simply nodded to each other before they rushed towards where the people were running away from.

It wasn't a surprise seeing Bechats and Kurous terrorizing the people with the fake Zett simply laughing at the sides.

"Even more proof that it's a fake Zett." Hikari grumbled as he kicked three Bechats that approached him.

"Tame-nii and the others are probably on their way." Kagura added.

"Shall we clean up before they arrive?" Hikari smiled at his companion, as he fished his changers from his person.

"Uhuh!" Kagura enthusiastically nodded, fishing her own changer from her pocket.

"ToQ Change!"

Hikari and Kagura transformed into ToQ 4gou and ToQ 5gou respectively and then rushed at their enemies, wielding a green axe and a pink claw.

Juru and the others arrived at the battlefield greeted with the scene where Zett was practically playing with both Hikari and Kagura de-transforming from ToQ 4gou and 5gou.

"Kagura!" Tametomo immediately changed into Kiramei Yellow and shot the white-garbed opponent as he rushed to his cousin's side.

"We should go too!" Juru ordered as he and the remaining members of the team transformed into the Kiramagers.

"He may not be Zett, but he's still strong." Hikari tried to get up but found himself unable to from the pain he was in.

"I don't understand! He's not Zett." Kagura tried to make sense of her situation.

"It just means you're weak," Zett scoffed as he deflected the energy shots coming at him.

Tametomo immediately knelt beside his cousin, keeping an eye on the enemy as Shiguru and Sena rushed to the enemy, swords in hand, while Juru and Sayo shot at him.

"Are the two of you alright?" Tametomo asked the younger sentai members.

"We underestimated him," Hikari admitted, able to sit down. "I thought he could only copy Zett's appearance and not his strength."

"We did not think that he would be near Zett's strength." Kagura nodded.

"We'll talk later, take a breather you two," Tametomo ordered. "Join in when you can, and not earlier."

"We will." Hikari acknowledged.

Hikari and Kagura trudged towards a nearby wall and watched the Kiramagers work.

Juru with Kiramei Buster in hand shot fought against Zett as Sayo and Tamemotomo covered him with energy bullets from their respective bullets.

Shiguru and Sena worked on the mook soldiers and stopped them from giving the white-clothed villain assistance.

"I grow bored with this." Zett announced as a sword appeared in his hand.

"Wha-!"

"Ju-nii! Get away!" Hikari desperately yelled.

Zett raised his sword and slashed it downwards.

Juru was quick to activate his shield and protected himself from the worst of Zett's attack. However, the downward slash still managed to blow him back towards Sayo and land face first.

"Juru-kun, are you alright?" Sayo knelt beside her leader.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Juru nodded. "That attack packed a punch." He remarked.

"Kiramagers, you have interfered for the last time." Garuza appeared and immediately rushed towards Juru.

"Trains from the Rainbow Line are about to arrive, please wait behind the white line." A disembodied voice stopped everyone in their tracks.

Everyone involved in the fight was trying to find the source of the voice, from the Bechats, to Garuza, even to the Kiramagers.

The Kurous were quick to take action as they stepped behind the white line that had appeared, leaving Zett, Garuza, and a number of Bechats.

Shiguru and Sena were quick to mimic the Kurous actions and stood behind the white line.

Five differently colored trains suddenly arrived, running through Garuza, Zett, and the Bechats before it stopped before the slumped forms of Hikari and Kagura before it sped off to nowhere.

"Ah! Those were the trains I saw when I was a kid!" Juru exclaimed as he pointed at the trains that were now leaving. "They're so cool!"

The Kiramagers looked at their leader before looking at the scene before them.

Red, Blue, Yellow spandex-wearing people exited the trains before it departed.

A yellow ToQger checked on Hikari and Kagura while the blue and red ToQger stood guard in front of them.

The villains and the mook soldiers that were run-through by the trains were able to recover, despite the damage they incurred.

"Kagura-chan, Hikari, are the two of you alright?" A female voice asked with worry.

"We're okay, Mio-chan." Kagura responded in a joyful voice.

"You're late, Right." Hikari commented.

"Forgive me, if everyone wasn't in Subarugahama." The red ToQger gave a thumbs-up sign before gripping his sword tighter.

"So that is the impostor Zett," The blue ToQger commented. "He does seem like the Zett we know, but something is off."

"It's off, alright." Right scoffed. "That Zett doesn't even have the look that he has when he wanted to gain that spark."

"You're right," Mio agreed. "Even in the final battle, his eyes still had the same look whenever he wanted to gain that single spark."

"What's this? More ToQgers?!" Garuza growled as he stood up. "Zett!"

"On it!" Zett rushed towards the three new arrivals.

Right and Mio rushed towards Zett with a red sword and a yellow hammer in hand, respectively. The Blue ToQger stood guard in front of Hikari and Kagura.

"Tokacchi, I thought you couldn't make it." Hikari stood up, ready to transform once more.

"This is more important than cram," Tokacchi shot with his ToQ blaster three times. "I couldn't leave you both hanging, especially with Zett seemingly back."

"Whenever you two are ready!" Right called back as he blocked an upward slash from Zett.

"Let's do this, Kagura."

"Of course!"| Kagura nodded.

"ToQ change!"

Hikari and Kagura transformed into ToQ 4gou and 5gou once more and rushed towards Zett and the Kurous.

"ToQ 1gou!" Right punched an approaching Bechat.

"ToQ 2gou!" Tokacchi announced as he shot three Kurous in succession. "We have returned." He bowed.

"ToQ 3gou!" Mio slammed the group of mooks she was facing to the floor with her hammer.

"ToQ 4gou!" Hikari kicked an approaching Kurou's face.

"ToQ 5gou!" Kagura waved her hand before slapping them with huge force. "I am strong, I am strong, I am strong!" She clenched her fists. "Strongest girl!" She declared as she punched an approaching wave of enemies, launching them to the air.

"The victorious rails of imagination!" Each ToQger attacked their opponents with their respective weapons. "Ressha Sentai ToQger!" They converge and posed for a bit.

"Let's go too!" Juru urged his teammates.

The Kiramagers split the mook soldiers into groups, much like what the ToQgers did earlier, and began fighting them.

"Sparkling Inspiration!" Juru fired shots with his Kiramei Buster. "Kiramei Red!"

"Sharp Shooting!" Tametomo shot six Bechats down in succession. "Kiramei Yellow"

"Lightning Rush!" Sena dashed around the area, slashing a lot of Kurous and Bechats along the way. "Kiramei Green."

"Unstoppable Blade!" Shiguru spun in place and slashed every mook soldier around him. "Kiramei Blue.

"Incredible Dexterity!" Sayo shot all of her enemies before grabbing the arm of the Bechat behind her and threw her opponent off of her before shooting the opponent's face at point-blank range. "Kiramei Pink."

"Arriving with a spark! Solving in a flash!" The Kiramagers kicked their enemies in unison before converging. "Mashin Sentai Kiramager!"

"You've interfered for the longest time, Kiramagers!" Garuza growled. "Your opponent will be me." He declared as more Bechats were summoned to his side as he himself rushed towards the Kiramagers.

As the fight went on, Hikari and Right were the ones fighting the impostor Zett while Juru was alone in fighting Garuza.

The rest were busy fighting the mook soldiers.

The fight between factions went on, Juru was having a hard time fighting against Garuza as ToQ 2gou, 3gou, and 5gou found themselves overwhelmed by the sheer number of mook soldiers they were fighting.

The three of them were so focused on preventing the mook soldiers from giving the Zett impostor assistance.

"At this rate, we're going to be overwhelmed!" ToQ 2gou exclaimed.

"Tokacchi's right," Mio agreed. "We need to thin their numbers fast!

"Okay!" Kagura nodded before retrieving her ToQ Blaster.

"Setting Scope Train." The three ToQgers set a brown-ish toy train on their respective ToQ Blaster and ToQ Slasher.

"Now Slashing, please be careful." Mio's ToQ Slasher announced as she pulled her weapon to her person all the while glowing in yellow.

"Now Shooting, please be careful." Tokacchi's and Kagura's ToQ Blasters announced as they aimed at their targets.

Each of the Kurou and Bechat that the ToQgers were facing, all sported yellow, blue, or pink reticles in three on their chests.

Mio swung her ToQ Sword downwards and created a single curved yellow projectile, cutting the mooks that sport the yellow reticles on their chests.

Tokacchi and Kagura fired their ToQ Blaster and hit everyone that had a blue or pink reticle on their chests.

The simultaneous attack thinned the mooks' numbers considerably but there were still more to fight.

The Kiramagers on the other hand found themselves overwhelmed with a different problem. None of them could focus on their many opponents as they tried to give Juru assistance with his fight against Garuza.

Juru was getting hit everywhere on his body, as he tried to keep up with his opponent's attacks.

Garuza wasn't this aggressive when they fought before, it's like he was fighting a different person.

"Sena! Get Juru out of there!" Tametomo ordered. "He's getting creamed in there."

"I would if I could!" Sena grunted as she dodged three strikes from the Bechat. "These guys are persistent!"

Sayo shot Sena's and Shiguru's enemies down as Tametomo worked double time on shooting down Sayo's and his own enemies.

With an opening created, Sena rushed towards Juru and grabbed the younger boy's hand then rushed behind the shooters of their team, but not before slapping Garuza with her own sword.

Garuza was about to retaliate when Shiguru blocked the strike, essentially swapping enemies.

"Juru, what happened?" Tametomo asked as he kicked one Bechat to the face. "You were getting creamed in there."

"It's not Garuza," Came Juru's immediate answer. "He fights nothing like Garuza." He defended himself from an incoming strike.

"What did you say?!" Tametomo questioned. "H-how!"

"I don't know how to explain it, but that's not Garuza."

"If that's not Garuza, then who are we up against?!" Sena couldn't help but exclaim her worry.

Shiguru continued to duel against Garuza, oblivious to the discussion his teammates had at the back. He continued to dodge and block slashes and strikes from the enemy, with no room to counterattack.

"Come! Shiny Breaker!" Takamichi's loud voice boomed at the battlefield as he hit Garuza with his orange Jackhammer.

"Wha-"

"Wonder Entrance!" Takamichi, as Kiramei Silver, declared as he slammed his weapon on Garuza before jumping backward to dodge an incoming slash.

Shiguru knew that Takamichi had Garuza covered as he attacked a nearby Bechat that was closing in on his position.

Garuza and Takamichi traded blows as the other Kiramagers focused more on defeating the mooks.

"A train from the Shadow Line is about to arrive, you better stay behind the black line if you value your life." A different disembodied voice announced in a low gravelly tone.

As soon as the announcement was made, every single Kurous heed the call and began retreating behind the black lines that suddenly appeared, harming the Bechats in the process.

Without a moment to spare a train appeared out of nowhere and began running over Garuza, Zett, and the Bechats who were unfortunate enough to have been standing in the train's way, halting the fight between the sentai members and their enemies once more.

The black train soon departed revealing an orange ToQger and a bulldog-like monster.

"More enemies?" Sena whined.

"Akira-kun?" Kagura questioned.

"Gritta?" Mio asked.

"This has gone on long enough!" The bulldog-like monster announced as she walked towards Zett.

"And who are you supposed to be?!" Zett scoffed.

The Kiramagers were on their guard, unsure of what to make of the new arrivals. The orange-clad person bore similarities to the ToQgers, to Juru's and Tametomo's cousins, but they can't be too sure.

The ToQgers were also on guard, ready for anything that might happen.

The surviving Bechats attacked after a few moments, and rushed towards the bulldog-like monster but were easily dispatched by the seemingly orange ToQger.

"So this is that place where I di… do my work." The Oranger ToQger stated to himself.

"Who are you to order me like this, you scum." Zett snarled as he raised his sword upwards.

The bulldog-like monster did not regard Zett as important to give a reply as she simply opened her mouth and swallowed him whole.

"Wha-!"

"Gritta!" The ToQgers rushed to the bulldog-like monster.

"It has been a while, everyone." Gritta greeted.

"Wh-why are you here?" Tokacchi couldn't help but ask.

"Zalam, no, Akira-kun barged into Castle terminal to see if Emperor Zett was still asleep," Gritta answered. "He then informed me of the Emperor's impostor you were battling."

"You! How dare you interrupt Emperor Yodon's plans!" Another Garuza showed himself. "You will pay for this!"

The new Garuza rushed towards Gritta, with his sword in hand.

"I'll be okay, everyone." Gritta calmed the ToQgers as she did what she did best.

Gritta changed her form. She was now all black, akin to a silhouette, with multiple things of what looked like tentacles growing all over her body, eight spikes grew on her head and three at the center were taller than the other five on both sides.

"Yodon-sama!" Garuza gasped stopping him dead on his tracks.

The Kiramagers were about to attack Gritta's transformation, the only thing holding them back was Hikari's and Kagura's heads shaking.

A wave of darkness enveloped the area, which led to the mook soldiers being blown away while Garuza and his fake were forced down to the ground.

"You have deceived the Shadow Line for the last time; you will never use our arsenal and our troops however you please."

Gritta transformed back into her bulldog form.

"I will be taking the darkness that you have collected while using our troops and arsenal." Gritta declared as she raised her hand.

A huge smoke of darkness manifested in the sky before it was directed towards the chimney of the black train that had appeared once more.

"I was running out of threads to entertain myself with."

"Thank you for your help, Gritta." Mio expressed her gratitude towards her friend.

"It was no problem, Emperor Zett getting woken with another faction using his arsenal and troops would not be beneficial to Earth or the Shadow Line," Gritta explained her motivations. "Especially considering how the Deboth Army tried to swindle the Emperor and the others."

"So that's why they helped when Devius emerged." Right nodded.

"I must be going now, please be very careful, everyone." Gritta waved at the ToQgers before entering inside her train and departed to where she came from.

The Kurous that were with the impostor Zett retreated, most of them had gotten on Gritta's train, while the others simply ran away.

"Let's finish things here!" Right declared.

"Yep!" Every ToQger nodded.

ToQ 1gou raised his right hand as everyone's differently colored weapons combined to form something akin to a bazooka.

"Their weapons combined." Tametomo commented as his jaw dropped.

"I mean, Juru successfully combined the Kiramei Sword and Kiramei Shot to form the Kiramei Buster." Sena pointed out.

"Link-up Bazooka!" The ToQgers declared.

Right placed a silver train in the middle of the bazooka.

"Rainbow Rush! Gritta"

A yellow energy sphere exited from the bazooka and flew towards the direction of both Garuzas.

One of the Garuza grabbed the other and used him as a shield before jumping back to save himself.

The yellow energy transformed into Gritta's head and immediately devoured the Garuza that was used as a shield and the head exploded soon after, taking out the Bechats from where they stood.

Garuza survived the attack, struggling to keep his balance.

"This is bad, Garuza!" A holographic screen appeared. "The darkness that we had gathered disappeared moments ago!" Another being, with red clothes and a green mask, exclaimed. "Without that, we can't bring forth our Jamen beast."

"This is unforgivable!" Garuza growled as he donned a stance and slashed his doppelganger.

"H-he was your comrade!" Right shouted indignantly.

"Sacrifices are made to fulfill one's ambitions." Garuza laughed as the other Garuza transformed into a brown Bechat, with two chunks of their body missing before it collapsed to the ground, lifeless.

"That should be enough Carantula!"

"I'm afraid it's not enough to open a portal, Garuza." Carantula spoke. "We lost a huge amount of darkness, not even the darkness the Clay Jamen obtained by copying you will be enough."

Garuza simply growled in frustration and exited the battlefield by riding his own train.

Hey is Kiramanger’s Yodonna gay? I’m considering watching a new Sentai and I see her and I’m kinda interested

there's a post-series TTFC special that pairs her with another girl from the show in something that feels very very romantic but in the show her main rivalry is with a male ranger who they do imply some sort of thing between. and they also go back to that at the end of said TTFC special.

so, like, definitely not officially but you can get a lot out of that special; i sure as hell enjoyed it. but you won't get much out of it on that level in the show itself

(Sayo Kiramei Pink gets some pretty goddamn bisexual moments though)
