Three Couples Make Contributions to Cover the Cost of Our Outdoor Stage Live Oak Theatre Says Thank You to Patrons for Generous Donations Live Oak Theatre says thank you to three generous couples:Chuck Wilson and Terry Weaver of Wilson Technology,Mark and Stacy Labadia, andPat and Yvonne Brewer. Each of these couples has just contributed one-third of the cost of building our new OUTDOOR STAGE. The stage will be the home of our new "Shakespeare on the Green" series. The first installment will be "The Bard Unleashed," but more on that will be announced in the future. At this time, we just wish to acknowledge the generosity and support of these three families. Thank you again. OUTDOOR PERFORMANCE SPACE One of the most exciting projects we’ve been planning is the creation of an outdoor performance space.  We have plans to build an outdoor stage which will allow us to continue to produce and rehearse our fall productions outside (weather permitting) on a stage that is built with the same specs as our indoor stage.  The audience will sit on the veranda and the lawn, allowing us to seat up to 100 people in a safe, socially distanced, outdoor setting that will be comfortable for you and our performers. Live Oak will have chairs available for lawn seating however, those who wish to be seated on the lawn may choose to bring their own comfortable lawn chairs or a picnic blanket instead. I could still remember when I was five, my mom keeps on reminding me that every time when we went in a public place, I should not go far from her and to always stay on her side. But a kid is always a kid, as a little child I was too curious about everything. And because of it, there was a lesson I’ve learned.

The people were loitering around and busy with different stuffs that were accompanied by the sales lady. I was beside my mom and she was holding my hand. The cute teddy bear caught my eyes that I can’t remove my eyes through it. I walked towards it for it was too good to be friend with. I was about to call my mom when I noticed she was not around. I tried to searched for her and looked at every corner. “She was supposed to be here” I mumbled. Tears were slowly flowing down on my cheeks. The people around me were wearing a fazing face when they saw me crying and seeking for my mom. I was about to went down the escalator when someone holds me in my hand, it was the sales lady. We went to a small room where there were also children crying in there. There was a man talking in the microphone and he gave me a “steady-calm” looked. I began to shrieked when I heard the man announcing on the microphone that I was lost. “I’m not lost, it was my mom!” thoughts that keep on running in my young and innocent mind.

After a few minutes, mom has come to get me. A soaring hope fills my heart when I saw my mom running towards my direction. Her face quenched because of worrying. She nagged at me but after that she gave me a warm hug and a sweet kiss on my forehead. And told me these words “Do not do that again.” mama was really worried.

This scenario taught me a lesson. Our parents were used by God to guide us in this world. There are a lot of things that we as a young people were too curious about everything. And because of curiosity, we wanted to do something new, but we must consider first our parents. For before we were in this world they already exist. And they know a lot that we young people, do not know.
