❥ my top ten redacted audio speakers !!

i’ve seen a bunch of people doing this so i wanted to join in! i love a bandwagon 😋

feisty werewolf; milo - i mean, come on. *gestures at my blog* look at me. milo very quickly took top spot, by the time i got to the panic attack audio i was like the rest of y’all can pack it up bc this guy’s got me hooked lmfao it was just so sweet to see a softer side of the guy who, at that point in the timeline, had mostly only been abrasive, cocky, and flirty. that accent also does everything for me. the exact moment i fell in love with him was when he said, “of course i’m not mad. i was worried - scared that you were hurt or something. but never mad.” 🫠💖

nervous air elemental; lasko - lasko… what can i say about lasko. he definitely awoke something in me lmao, initially i didn’t want to get into the elementals because meeting new people felt like a chore at the time but he immediately made me laugh and it was all downhill from there… i love that he’s kinda freaky and he makes me want to bite him in the non-canon audios, but even in prime universe he’s just so sweet and a really good friend. and his relationship with coworker makes me so proud of his development

arrogant incubus; gavin - i’ve said it before but gavin’s the reason i’m here! his hbs 2023 audio was my first audio of the channel, and to go back in time and watch his progression to that point was so heartwarming 🥺 him and freelancer are possibly the best pair in the universe, i just adore everything about them. gavin’s audios are actually the hardest ones for me to listen to because the love he has for freelancer is suffocating to witness in a really bittersweet way 😩

yandere cultist friend; blake - this one is um …. i never expected this HAHA when i first listened to the balance he really skeeved me out (as he should), but then mother mother released ‘explode!’ and for some unfathomable reason it got into my head as a blake song and i couldn’t dissociate it from him. on a second listen of the balance, i definitely appreciate his character more and the juxtaposition of him with elliott and sunshine vs bestie is so so interesting to me. i can’t even be mad at bestie because he’d have me wrapped around his finger too 🥲 rly nervous for his next story update

chaotic boyfriend; guy - BABYGIRL. humor is the biggest thing i look for in relationships both platonic and romantic and no one makes me laugh like guy does. he’s so my type and the way honey acts is literally how i am with guys i like, so guy audios are always so much fun to listen to 💖 and no BA hits quite like that pre-recorded one

i ended up talking more than i thought i would so the other half is under the cut!

it gets kind of messy in the second half because i think these could get shuffled around depending on my mood but for now these are my thoughts!

seer obscura; morgan - morgan is… captivating. i know he kinda only blew up after ‘time is a song’ but it’s with good reason; the atmosphere is so calming but also, like… there’s a longing to it, ykwim? the two of them being the only know seer obscuras naturally lends a hand to the tension between them. no one else understands their unique struggles - so when his new obscura acquaintance calls him up in the middle of the night asking for help and comfort, of course he isn’t going to say no. it’s such an intimate setting for their third audio together and you can feel the tension building the whole time up to “i want to know you.” it’s just a really good audio. very interested to see where his story goes

sarcastic inchoate demon; avior - THE SNARK. THE QUIET KINDNESS. THE MYSTERY. THE YEARNING. THE TRAGEDY. avior’s got it all. sovereign state had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and still does, honestly. his hbs rewind audio is one of my favorites; the effort and love he put into that little date to give starlight a reprieve from their shared hell… he is such a romantic 💖 there’s nothing quite like falling in love while stuck in an actual hell

unempowered boyfriend; geordi - he’s an interesting one for me bc my love of him is directly tied to cutie + cutie’s telepathy giving us a look into his head (i just melt over his whispered little i love yous and compliments). they have a fascinating and messy story that i live for even when it makes me sick lol i adore that they’re both flawed but that they’re taking steps to better themselves. it’s fun when couples in the redactedverse aren’t perfect but still try to be better out of love

mysterious stranger; hush - THE weird guy. within his first audio i went from being indifferent to charmed. i love a mystery and everything about him is mysterious, but he’s also so clueless sometimes that it’s like. so what if he tied doc to the bed in their first meeting, now he’s asking to hold their hand when he’s nervous. so what if his purpose is to free the sovereigns? he learned how to cook for doc. i can’t NOT love him

unknown yandere caller - i’m a ghostface fan, okay. and i’m a taurus. i like when people are obsessed with me 🤷🏼‍♀️ there’s just something so… like. listen. “you’ll start to expect me. you’ll start to crave me.” from the audio and “i know you’ll find them. and you’ll keep them. because they’re from me.” from his card? the arrogance. it’s bewitching. i need him back ASAP i don’t even care if he doesn’t get a real name, i just miss him. come back please 🙏🏻

Shaw Pack Headcanons Part 4 i think (INVERSION EXCLUSIVE EDITION [Ft. Sam])

I only listened to each Aftershock video once bc they make me cry so if any of these hcs were debunked in those vids PLEASE tell me

Also in another part of these hcs I said that Baaabe and Angel carpooled to the stadium so that’s why all four of them drove back in the same car okay enjoy

- Christian wholeheartedly believed he would die during Inversion.

- Tank was doing security during the Inversion, but they were scheduled to work inside the school, so they heard what was going on via Lasko’s announcement

- When they heard, they ran to the ward while shifted, and headbutted the ward. They kept punching and clawing at the ward while yelling incoherent words. It took Milo and Sweetheart pulling them back and explaining the plan to calm them down. By the end of it, their knuckles were bruised and bleeding, and tears were flowing down their eyes.

- They were more angry with themselves than they were with anyone else. They were the one who volunteered to work inside the school, and they were slacking off. They keep cursing themself out for sleeping under the staircase while their entire pack and Sam were fighting for their lives. They believe they could’ve done something, or protected more people if they were inside.

- David considered disbanding the Shaw Security company, Angel had to convince him otherwise, because he’d regret it in the end.

- Sweetheart thought Milo would die when he used his core to break the ward.

- When Tank and Sam got home, he broke down immediately in their arms. They spent that night on his reclining chair just staying in each other’s embrace.

- Christian and Arden refused to split up. No matter how many times they were told they’d save more people that way, neither budged.

- Sweetheart tried to phase through the ward to see if everyone’s okay, but couldn’t.

-David and Asher tried to text Baaabe and Angel, but the messages couldn’t go through. It wasn’t until an hour after everything happened that Baaabe and Angel got the text, and they nearly cried reading them.

- Baaabe bought the wedding ring 2 days after the Inversion. They never wanted to lose the chance to propose again.

- Sweetheart broke every traffic law possible when Milo called all panicky.

- Angel cried so much when they saw David made it outside the ward that they couldn’t see and drive back home. Baaabe had to drive the car with Asher riding shotgun.

- Tank saw the Closeknit ad before Milo told them about it, and broke their laptop in half midway through the ad.

- Kelsey wasn’t with the pack during Inversion, so when she heard about what happened, she immediately booked a flight and called Christian and Arden non-stop.

- Angel strained their voice and had to drink tea for a week with how much they were yelling.

- Baaabe was crying too, but it was easier for Lasko to comfort them because they were more willing to listen.

- When the ward fell, Baaabe and Angel stuck together and ran into the crowd, asking if anyone saw any wolf shifters around that were a part of security.

- Tank refused to show up to the award ceremony for the Shaw Pack. Half was for hatred of the Department, the other half was them believing they didn’t deserve it.

- Baaabe found Asher’s chest scars endearing about 7 months after Inversion. It reminds them he’s still there.

- Angel was making cupcakes before they got Milo’s call, to celebrate a “successful job for the Shaw Pack”. When Angel and David got home they told him they had to fix something in the kitchen before they’d join him in bed.

- They threw the cupcakes out the window and sprayed Febreeze everywhere.

- Bailey felt horrible that she wasn’t there for them when Inversion happened, -and didn’t go to any pack meetings or Solstices the next year.

- Milo was worried, she went NC with everyone, and he had to find out where she lived to talk about it.

A piece of me wants to think that freelancer has pulled the ENTIRE friend group.

We all know they’re a switch right. And obviously after they found out lasko and gavin had already fucked, they let lasko join in on one (A few) of their times.

Early before they were officially with gavin, They kissed huxley…only once and agreed to never speak on it again, simply because they don’t need to (“People can kiss as friends right?”)

And they almost fucked Damien, but one of them got a call in the middle of it and they both mutually realized they probably shouldn’t do that. They ALSO never talk about it, hence them both being in relationships now

Very big rant about the redacted storyline being misunderstood

saw a tiktok of someone complaining about the timeline “handing out answers and spoiling everything”. Though I had read every event of the timeline, I have yet to come across information I had not already known about. (Excluding the very interesting information about how the Solaire clan came to be) I am becoming frustrated with people on tiktok not considering the context and complicity of the storyline. Considering the timeline, Erik had said that these weren’t spoilers about things to come but confirmations.

I saw another tiktok disregarding the importance of the Inversion; saying that the only purpose it served was to traumatize the characters (—I do recall in their previous tiktoks that they were not interested in the “lore” side of things. Which is ok! But I wouldn’t recommend talking about it in such little consideration or knowledge.) I believe that the Inversion served many purposes and will most likely be a opening for bigger things to come.

Additionally, the recent Bowling video, which has already been discussed. People over on tiktok are taking the DAMN relationship out of complete context without mentioning previous discussion of said relationship. This is specifically towards Lasko and Gavin’s relationship. Not only had freelancer allowed the flirting to continue, they also joined in on the teasing. Freelancer’s dynamic with the elementals is also not being considered. It was mentioned in earlier videos (and implied) that freelancer is quiet and a person who listens more than talks. Freelancer was probably sitting back and enjoying their closest friends getting along. That’s it.

But I guess since every character can be a self insert, every insecurity, opinion and action must reflect onto the listener—and if they do not think, say, or do the same thing you would do in a specific situation, then something is clearly wrong with the character and not the person inserting themselves onto the listener/s. Are people forgetting that this is Erik’s story and not yours? That, yes, the listeners can be self-inserts, but they are still Erik’s characters.

I want to mention another post on redacted tiktok that believes that the listener characters choosing “peace” instead of “violence” was lazy writing. They were specifically calling out the Android and Freelancer. The android could choose what to do about Marcus after they were aware of what he was doing to them. The person on tiktok was upset the android did not choose to kill or harm Marcus. If they truly knew anything about the Project Meridian, they would know that it’s a project that is under the control of the GOVERNMENT. Plus, it’s implied that the Android does feel sympathy and probably knows that taking a life is against the law.

Now the freelancer argument; they are upset because freelancer didn’t want Damien to beat the shit out of Kody. Knowing freelancer, they’re whole character and storyline revolves around them being sympathetic and kind. I don’t even have to give examples of the times where freelancer considers their friend’s problems above their own. I know that Kody is very far from a friend and I am not trying to imply that Kody doesn’t deserve a harsh punishment. But, if the person who was complaining about the writing was in charge of the characters actions, I would complain that freelancer encouraging Damien to deck Kody would be out of the character entirely.

If anyone would like to tell me off for being ignorant and rude then I will gladly allow myself to be humbled. Maybe I am being overly passionate and defensive.

Spicy thought that came to mind kind of a continuation of my post about Freelancer, Hux and Lasko

Freelancer snorted softly as they refilled the glasses on the table, sliding them over to Hux and Lasko respectively. The three friends were lounging in Hux's living room, enjoying each other's company and a few drinks

"Seriously, Freelancer, there's no way Gavin s-subs, not with the way he acts all the time" Lasko teased, the topic of their conversation making it hard to tell if the alcohol was the source of his flushed face

Freelancer sipped their drink, their lips curling into a grin before they leaned forward, their voice dropping to imitate Gavin's silken tone "You really doubt that I don't have that man on his knees for me?"

Hux laughed as Lasko sputtered, the air elemental's face turning a brighter hue as the Freelancer leaned back. "Really Lasko, Gavin is versatile. You don't have to have set roles in the bedroom. You should switch it up with your love every once in awhile. Bet they'd love to see your 'dom' side"

"I-I don't know...we just started getting intimate and we're still learning about each other and...well, I don't know if I'd be any good at that..." Lasko stuttered out, raising his glass to his lips.

"Hey, you never know until you try, dude. Plus theres other ways to take control in the bedroom, you can top from the bottom like Damien does." Hux gave one of his easy smiles as he patted Lasko on the back

"I just can't see Damien being on bottom at all. He's the control freak. He literally has itinerary for a dinner and movie night. He plans it based on what we usually order and how long it takes the place to make." Freelancer couldn't help but tease the fire elemental, even if he wasn't there

"But you have to admit it's so sweet that he knows what we each like to order...oh, wait, we were talking about the other thing. But he's been getting so good at giving up that control in the bedroom. I think he just needs to know he's with someone he can completely trust to take that control-"

"What the hell are you guys talking about- is that my good scotch?" Damien's voice rose as he stormed into the room. His bag slid down his shoulder to thump onto the floor by the couch as he stared down at the group.

"Dames! Baby, you're home early....can I have a kiss?" Hux beamed up at him, the big guy the closest to his lover as Lasko and Freelancer broke down into nervous giggles at getting caught.

Damien tried his best to glare down at his partner, but Hux was hard to stay mad at, especially when he was so happy at his mere arrival. He sighed heavily before he leaned down to press his lips against Hux's, his hand resting on his cheek. He only pulled away when the Freelancer let out a wolf whistle.

"You're incorrigible, you know that?"

"You've told me that a few times now, actually. Anyway, you gonna join in on the gossip session? You know you want to" they sing-songed as they used psychokinesis to grab another glass from the kitchen, even if it was shakey with their inebriation. They still managed to mix Damien's drink of choice before sliding it over to him

"Considering what you were talking about, I'm not sure I do."

"Pfft oh come on. You can tell us some of Hux's secrets, to make up for him telling one of yours. Oh, and I'll tell you about this secret spot of Gavin’s. If you touch him in just the right way it drives him nuts...you know you'd love to fuck with him like he does to you. You're all about getting even, right, wildfire?" Freelancer grinned as Damien let out another sigh before he plopped into Hux's lap and took the glass he'd been offered.

"Its going to be a long night"

“what?! dude the cheese dust getting on your fingers is like the best part!” you shake your head at huxley.

“bro your gonna give someone a yeast infection one day” gavin holds back a laugh at your brutal comment.

“hey man i wash my hands!”

“huxley i had to remind you to brush your teeth this morning” damien cuts in and huxley scratches the back of his head.

“it may have slipped my mind” you shake your head and continue picking through the bag while watching lasko and damien game on the tv.

“hey can i have one?” gavin whispers and you lean the bag towards him. “feed me?” you roll your eyes and pick one up to feed him.

“mmm you love me~”

“yeah i know don’t remind me” you watch as gavin pokes at lasko to break him from his concentration, he yelps and damien takes the chance to win finally.

“gavin!”

“whaaa? just making it interesting”

“lasko come with me to kitchen, i wanna start on those cupcakes now or they’ll never get done” you shove the bag and chopsticks you had into gavin’s chest and he lets out an oof and takes the items. you get up and take lasko’s hand and guide him into the kitchen.

“uh i wanna thank you again for hosting this uh um”

“slumber party”

“y-yeah that, thank you”

“it’s my pleasure i love having you guys over and i’m super excited to have you all sleep over” you flash a smile at him and lasko feels his heart squeeze. “hux and damien will probably sleep together on the pull out couch, you’re welcome to sleep with gavin and i”

lasko can feel his face flush at the offer, you can’t help but smile as you start pulling out the bowls and measuring cups.

“can you grab the eggs?”

“oh y-yeah sure”

“thank you~ go ahead and crack those into a bowl, i’ll start mixing” you instruct as you start pouring the mix together.

“got room for one more to join? damien and hux started to suck face”

“r-really?!”

“nah but i could sense that wanted to so i’m giving them some privacy” gavin says before walking over and wrapping his arms around you from behind. “whatcha making my little freelancer?”

“we are making red velvet cupcakes”

“sounds yummy, but not as yummy as—”

“ahem, we are not the only two in here gav” you say sternly.

“i’m aware” gavin says while starting to plant kisses on your neck.

“gav” you say in a warning tone that’s barley about a whisper.

“alright alright” he says finally letting up. “lasko you wanna get in on this?” lasko’s face heats up once more as he faces down to focus on prepping the cupcake tray.

after putting the cupcakes in the oven you all go back to the living room to help set up the pull out couch and set up a movie. huxley had damien to snuggle up with and lasko watched as you laid back in gavin’s lap. you noticed his anxiousness and opened your arms for him, he glad took your invitation and you instantly started played with his hair.

“hey scooch i wanna be party of the cuddle party” you giggle and open your arm for huxley to move both damien and himself into your side.

“my legs are getting crushed”

“suffer” you smile up at gavin as he leans down to place a kiss on your forehead.

“anything for you”

you sigh happily at the pile of friends you have as you watch them watch the movie you put on. you can never express how grateful you are for them to be in your life.

“i love you guys”

Was surprisingly tagged by the kind @pinksparkl , thank you !! I’ve never played one of these games, but didn’t wanna break the chain yk I don’t really know who to tag tho, so feel free to use this if you wanna join in :)

The d.a.m.n squad has always held love for each other. And this kind of love can only be kept to themselves for so long.

“You’re staring again Deviant.” Gavins voice was quiet, he clearly intended for only you to hear it, and he was apparently successful, because none of your guests paid either of you any mind.

His words made you tear your eyes away from your guests though. You weren't sure which one you had actually been staring at, but knowing Gavin he was probably aware that your mind was on all of them, not just one. You turned your attention to your lover, he sat beside you with his arm draped behind you. He was closer than you remembered him being when you were finally face to face again, but you certainly didn’t mind the close proximity.

You looked at him for a minute, that sly smirk only growing with the silence between you both before you shook your head and looked away from him. You were smiling now, and you knew he could tell, but there was hope for you to hold on to a small bit of pride you had. Gavin knew he got under your skin, and he loved it, and you could only hold out for so long before he made you break under the pressure of his gaze.

“And?” You asked.

Your question made him laugh. His outburst even caught the attention of your guests, much to your displeasure.

“What’s so funny?” Lasko stuttered out, as unsure as ever when it came to Gavin.

Gavin contained his laughter enough to answer, shooting you a quick look before he responded to the air elemental.

“Oh nothing. Our little deviant here was just living up to their name.”

You shook your head again, playing up as much of the fake annoyance as you could. They all knew you weren’t really angry with Gavin, but it was fun to pretend from time to time. Still, you had no intention of telling your friends just how you were “living up to your name” this evening so you quickly changed the topic.

“Come on, let's play this game before we forget the whole point we decided to get together tonight anyway.”

Damien snorted and spoke, “Like Lasko would let us forget about playing his favorite game.”

And with that, your own personal disaster was avoided. Everyone let the incident slide, for the most part. Every time your gaze would wander toward one of your friends you could hear Gavin chuckling to himself, but he kept any comments he may have to himself. You found yourself falling into the rhythm that you always fell into when you were surrounded by these four. The feeling of comfort and serenity that you couldn’t escape with them. It was where you really felt at home.

Before long though, your snacks had run out, and you were tasked with fetching some more. Gavin, like the ‘generous man’ he came to join you in your scavenger for more snacks. Gavin wasted no time bringing up the topic you had almost forgotten about as soon as the two of you were alone however.

“What am I going to do with you deviant?”

Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion as you took your attention away from the cupboards in front of you and brought it to the incubus.

“What do you mean?”

“You're off staring at other guys, how could you do this to me?” His fake sorrow was obvious, and there was no doubt in your mind that he was just saying this to tease you.

Still you felt yourself getting embarrassed. Had you really been staring that much? So much so that Gavin called you out on it not once but twice.

Gavin quickly followed up his previous statement once sensing your uneasy feelings.

“I mean, I can't say I blame you.” There was a brief pause, one you suspected was for dramatic effect. “Huxley looks so good in that shirt tonight, it's hard not to stare.”

The admission made you laugh. It wouldn’t have been so funny had Gavin not been so genuine in his words. Huxley did look good in that shirt, you knew that, but Gavin so easily admitting that he felt the same way about it eased the tension you were feeling previously.

Gavin moved closer to you, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you close to him. There wasn’t any judgment or harshness in his eyes, nothing but compassion, and it was all directed at you.

“We could always ask them to join us, you know.”

All the teasing had left Gavins voice. It was a genuine offer, one that he had no hesitancy or discomfort saying. And perhaps it shouldn’t have come as a surprise to you. Not only had Gavin always been open with you about his feelings towards your group, but you both had discussed something like this before. But that was always in passing. It was never at a time when said group was sitting in your living room. It had never felt real. Until now.

“I don’t want to make things weird” You said, playing with the end of Gavins shirt. Almost in the way a kid would when they're nervous.

“Oh I don’t think it would make anything weird deviant.”

The look on Gavin’s face when he said that made your face scrunch up in confusion. You had no idea what he meant by that, and the look he was giving made you even more confused by what he was trying to imply. But before you could ask, he spoke again.

“I won’t say anything if you don’t want to, but no matter what you want to do, know this: I love you, and I love them, and I have know doubt in my mind that they love you too.”

You knew that. All of that really. But hearing Gavin say it so sincerely made your heartbeat speed up. You loved him, and them, more than you could say. So why was this so difficult? You knew that they loved you and Gavin too, but something in your brain couldn’t let yourself believe that any of them would ever want to be with you in any way more than the way they already were.

Opening a relationship to one person was scary enough, and you were working through how to open it to three people. You had plenty of reservations. Ones that kept nagging away at you in ways that made you simply made you want to bury these feelings and never think of them again. But you couldn’t do that. You cared too much. Yet still these doubts and fears kept eating at you.

Huxley and Damien were already together, you knew they liked each other. And Gavin and Lasko had a past, so you were fairly certain that there was something there too. But that wasn’t enough to ease your mind. Their feelings on you were a mystery to you. You could only hope that they felt the same way about you that you did about them.

And how did you feel about them? That was another thing to worry about. How could you explain the feelings you had for them in a way that made sense to everyone involved. You cared for each of them deeply, in a way that you had never cared for anyone before. And you needed them to know.

And so, after your bout of internal debate you finally came to the conclusion you had been hoping to come to for a while now. You looked at Gavin again and he gave you one of the softest smiles you had ever seen him give.

“Let's tell them how we feel.”

Gavin’s smile widened and he leaned in to place a soft kiss on your lips. It was quick, but it conveyed everything you needed to know in that moment; That Gavin was with you on this, that he wanted this too and that it would be okay.

“Lead the way, my deviant.” Gavins said as you scooped up the snacks you were actually sent in here to get, and you made your way back to your guests with a new goal for the evening.

“Hey, you’re back!” Lasko said upon your entrance back into the living room.

Damien spoke up next, “What took you so long?”

He only spared a quick glance away from the game in front of him, but his annoyed curiosity was evident.

“Oh, it's nothing. Freelancer here just isn’t good at making decisions.” Gavin replied, giving you a nudge as you sat down the snacks.

To the rest of them you assumed it sounded like you were having trouble picking out snacks, but Gavin’s teasing struck you in a different way. You knew his real meaning. You both sat down again. Taking your original places with no more questions from your friends, but even the brief silence you fell into was unbearable to your ears in your current state. And so your words came flooding out before you could stop them.

“I love you guys a lot you know.”

The way your words came out broken and stuttered made you sound like Lasko. It wasn’t often that anyone could compare to his nerves or his stutter, but you certainly thought you were giving him a run for his money.

Lasko spoke before you could clarify anything.

“We love you too! I mean, I love you. I can't speak for anyone else, but I mean it seems like Damien and Huxley love you too. I mean why wouldn’t they, you’re great, and they have probably told you that before too. So why wouldn’t anyone love you? But I for sure love you because, you know, you're one of my favorite people, and I like you a lot! I love you a lot too!”

No. You actually couldn’t compete with Lasko.

He continued, “Oh, I said I said that already. Well I mean I guess it's okay that I said it, I mean saying it multiple times doesn't lessen the meaning. At least I don’t think so, but maybe you do and if that's the case then I’m sorry, but I do mean it and. Oh I’m rambling, I’ll just stop talking now.”

He looked like a deer in the headlights when you gave him a nervous smile. The nerves obviously weren't from his ramblings, but he didn’t know that, so you would make it a pont to make sure he knew you weren’t upset with him. Before you could say anything though Huxley spoke.

“Lasko’s right dude. We love you too! You’re my best bro and I wouldn't ever want you to think I don’t love ya.”

You caught Damien nodding next to Huxley. Keeping quiet himself, but clearly agreeing with Huxleys words. And probably Lasko’s too, even if Damien probably had gripes about how many words Lasko used.

“No, but-” you fumbled to explain yourself.

Gavin placed his hand on your shoulder comfortingly. And he spoke up trying his best to give you aid without taking over.

“What if Deviant and I didn’t want to just be your ‘best bro’?”

You nodded, perhaps a bit too eagerly, at Gavins words. But the three in front of you only looked at you confused.

“What does that even mean?” Damien asked.

You took another deep breath, hoping to calm your nerves before speaking once again.

“Me and Gavin were wondering if all three of you felt more than just platonically for us.”

“Oh Gavin’s been wondering has he?” Damien’s words were annoyed.

You knew that Gavin must already know how all of them felt about each other and yourselves too. But he had been quite closed lipped about their feelings towards himself and especially their feelings towards you. And Damien was already heating up at what you assumed was the thought of Gavin spilling his feelings to the group.

You quickly spoke up in hopes of defusing some of Damien’s annoyance.

“Well Gavin knows I’m sure.” There was a pause in your words before you spoke again, this time much quieter. “But I don't, and I would really like to know.”

There was a moment of silence, it seemed to go on forever and you began to worry if you really had made a mistake bringing this up, but thankfully Damien spoke up.

“I love you guys. All of you. More than I care to admit. Huxley knows that, we've talked about it since we started dating. I-” He huffs in frustration before continuing. “I didn’t want to say anything because you and Gavin had such a nice thing going on.”

Damien turns to Lasko for his next confession. “And Lasko, honestly, I thought you’d want nothing to do with me like that. I’m still surprised we're friends so I thought that would be good enough for you.”

“Damien!” Lasko started, most definitely warming himself up for another rant. “I think you're great! And yeah sure when we first met it was a little rough, But I’ve always liked you! And especially since we've gotten so close with each other!”

He sighed before speaking again. This time less defensive and more senseir. “I care about you all, I just worry about what I say and how it will affect you all. So sometimes I guess I come off the wrong way.”

The heart to heart was slowly making your nerves go away but they all shot back into your body when Huxley grabbed your shoulders and made you look at him. He looked so serious when he spoke.

“Freelancer, if you and Gavin would want it, I would love to be more than just your best bro.”

The nerves were short lived. Huxley always seemed to be able to make you feel at home. And so you let out a nervous laugh and wrapped your arms around Huxley. Burying your face into his shoulder. You knew that the love you all felt for each other was real and true. And even if some of the finer details of your relationship needed to be worked out still, you knew that it would be okay because you were with the people that made you feel safe.
