Sage had taken himself off to bed earlier in the evening and Oak, still the kindest big brother ever, autonomously tucked him in. These two have such a close bond and it's adorable!
Kobe, meanwhile, had emerged from his bedroom to infect everyone at the party! Thanks, Kobe. 🙄 His cold got worse and became pneumonia, Ash caught a cold from his germs and probably countless of the other guests at the party came down with something too. Go to bed, Kobe!
It was time to blow out the candles so everyone gathered in the kitchen..
... and Daisy aged into an adult! She rolled Family as her secondary aspiration and her LTW is to become a General. Well, that's not quite possible yet, but there are rumours the Military are interested in building a base in Wildflats Peninsula now that they are connected to the rest of SimNation so it could be a possibility soon!
Jonty did not age up with her. Sorry, Jonty! Better luck next time! She also didn't actually share a kiss with Elliott despite falling for him, so now she will have to wait until he ages up to adult before they can share their first kiss. She's a good few years older than him; I hope neither of them succumbs to other temptations in the meantime!
And I've seen a few other Simmers doing this, most notably @kayleigh-83, so I'm shamelessly stealing the idea because I love it - a lifestage collage (including the baby stage because I've been using baby face templates)! I'm going to start doing these from now on because I love seeing how my Sims have changed over the years, but I'm only going to do it once they reach adulthood (just to save my sanity)!

"The Phantoms"
Enduring Roots: Orchard Gen: Part 1
_____________________
Founder: Francesca Phantom
Lifestage: Teen
Traits: Erratic, Horse Lover, Animal Affection (Bonus Trait)
Aspiration: Friend of the Animals
Enduring Roots Legacy Challenge Rules
_________________________
Upon finally turning eighteen, Valentina Phantom (top collage, far right) gained custody of her younger sister, Francesca (top collage, far left), and used almost all their savings to purchase a small cabin on a large plot of land in Galloping Gulch, Chestnut Ridge.
After adding on a second bedroom, it was more than enough space for the two sisters and their basenji, Citrus, with a large shelter for a future horse that Francesca desperately wanted.
It was a slow start. They started a small orchard and garden; Valentina took on various odd jobs and secured a part-time gig as a manual laborer. Francesca, on summer break, got a couple of community jobs assisting in horse training. That's not including the added stress of a ghost frequenting their home at night and breaking their appliances (This has been mainly frustrating Valentina; Francesca's just been trying to befriend the ghost).
They're getting their financial situation under control. Their plants are bringing in a good amount of money, and they've invested in a few sheep and goats. Francesca finally got her first horse! A beautiful dappled palomino quarter horse mare that she named Sunshine. Having her around eventually got Valentina interested in horses and learning to ride, leading her to rescue a second horse, Shadowmorse.

Throwback Thursday to my 2001 backpacking trip through Mexico. I was 22 y.o. and so hungry for the experiences of travelling across new lands and cultures. I was an art student, so very broke, but that wasn’t going to stop me! I saved 500$ from selling calendars of my art and mix-cds of my college radio show, and that was enough to fuel that 5 week winter vacation journey. I took a 3 day greyhound bus from Montreal to Texas, and once I crossed the Mexican border I slowly hitchhiked the west coast all the way to Guatemala. This is a photograph of me walking the shores of San Pancho, on my way to Sayulitas. Back then a small backpack and a skateboard to paint was all I needed. My load was so much lighter than today, both physical and emotional. I was just a hungry artist who nobody knew, living fully for the sake of it. No smart phones, nor social media, nor fans/haters, no business opportunities nor endless emails to respond. I was still painting, journaling and filming, but it was 100% for myself. I didn’t have this whole “Chris Dyer the cuasi-famous artist” persona to carry, nor the many responsibilities that gives me today. Now I need several bags/suitcases to have the materials n equipment to do my many works on the road. Sometimes I wish I could rid all of that, and just be the simple soul under it all, but it would be like killing my human self, which I’m happily meant to serve as in this lifetime. The differences between now n then are just reflections, and despite my resistance to becoming an “adult”, I am grateful for my current life stage and all the people I can bring happiness to through my jah works. All stages of a person (young or less young) and an artist (beginner or established) are super blessed, so let’s just appreciate where we at! Here is also the skate I created in that trip, a collage of experiments, but sadly it got stolen from my first bar exhibition... #foodforthought #throwbackthursdays #mexico #backpacking #hitchhiking #lifestages #geatefulness #appreciation #skateart

Isaac became an elder this round! Filling out his lifestage collage with the final image, always kind of bittersweet. But I love seeing how they've changed through their lives.

I accidentally let his parents stay out too late and realized that nobody would be home for Cameron’s birthday! So he invited his big brother and sister over to help him celebrate.
Here’s Cameron, the last Perry kid to age up to an adult!

Claire’s birthday is here too!
She and Ewan moved out to get a place together (after some intense glitchiness which is why the photos are a little spotty and random here).
I originally moved them into the apartment she’s pictured in above, but then I had another idea and moved them elsewhere.... to be continued!
Here is her lifestage collage though :)
Coming back around to this household again with only four Sims is going to feel so leisurely!

Ewan’s birthday has arrived, soon we can finally start to thin the herd of kids in this house!
Here he is!
Ewan’s primary aspiration is popularity B (public enemy) and now his secondary is knowledge B (evil scientist). He’s got 10 outgoing points and 1 nice point... so yeah, he really is a piece of work. I have some very fun plans in mind for him that you’ll have to wait and see...
Here’s his lifestages collage so far!

Part way through my Rossi round Fraps unfortunately decided not to work, which it's never done! One time I accidentally didn't have it open, this time it was but just didn't work?
So the biggest thing we missed was Marco's birthday! Another gen 2 kid is now an elder, time marches on in Brightmaple! Here he is still handsome as ever :)
At the end of the round Aunt Lucia ended her stay with the family and has moved on to being a townie in Brightmaple, so we will still see her around from time to time!

It’s time for another birthday - generation three is growing up!
Sabrina aged up into a lovely adult, I think this hair is perfect for her!
Mom and dad are so proud :)
And of course a look at her throughout her life so far in her life stages collage.

Simone’s birthday is here! I’ve clearly changed my mind over time about her hair texture since one parent has straight hair and the other has afro texture, but in the end I think this suits her the most!

... and he aged up! Happy birthday Sage! He rolled Fortune as his secondary aspiration (making him Romance/Fortune) and his Lifetime Want is to become a Hall of Famer.
The Athletic career is not quite unlocked as the town doesn't have a stadium for a team to play in yet, but it's always possible he can join the career later in life just like his dad did!
Here's his lifestage collage! I love how you can see his face developing and maturing through each stage. Maxis really knew what they were doing.
