tell me about all the violence interlude please!!

HELLO LINDS BELOVED !!!

i haven't started this one yet.. even tho i've felt tempted.. a few times.. bc i'm trying to be responsible and finish the sequel first!!

but like its own names says, it's an interlude in the all the violence universe, takes place during the end of the sequel (or at least i think so, i need to check the timeline, there's a lot going on)

it can't be appreciated in the first part of all the violence for obvious reasons, but society in this au doesn't work . in a conventional way . i won't give u the whole explanation bc it's Long and not relevant to the interlude but the thing is that . there are rules and institutions that are meant to eliminate the existence of people like pandora??? like . everyone is supposed to be pure and perfect and polite and the world has reached a point in which no mistakes are allowed . it's a bit dystopian in a way

pandora hasn't been found out ofc, bc she's been keeping a low profile and behaving in front of others for lily's sake. but she has this sort of . team . even tho they simply work together out of necessity, pandora only genuinely cares about evan (and now lily too), and she cares in her own weird and violent way

after she kidnaps lily, a search begins, bc she comes from a good family and her parents + sister + friends are devastated by their loss. but the police have no leads, and after a few months they end up closing the case and assuming her dead. a couple of her friends keep trying but when one of them ends up being murdered . well . the others take it as the warning it very much is

james is the only who keeps searching!! bc he's a bit obsessed with lily and they were supposed to get married and they were fated to be together blah blah blah

at first pandora thinks it's soooo funny and that james is just gonna end up making a fool of himself but . he's stubborn and ends up asking the right questions to the right people . so she decides to get rid of him

she doesn't want to do it herself, she's too busy enjoying the honeymoon phase with lily (fucking and stabbing ppl + each other) and that's why she sends one of her friends instead <3 bc he owes her <3 said friend being reg <3

reg goes with the intention of murdering james slowly and painfully but he thinks he's soooo handsome he decides to play with his food a little before taking his life <33 maybe even fuck him if he's lucky <33

what follows it's an incredibly fucked up game of cat and mouse, with reg stalking james and manipulating him, hurting him and threatening him, until james becomes as twisted as he is and forgets about lily, all his obsession turning to regulus

unfortunately . there are consequences to lying + betraying pandora tho..

okay so yes. every single time i try to write and nothing is clicking and i'm sitting in front of my blank doc like have i been gaslighting myself into thinking i can actually write, i realize its because i'm not listening to music. but like it's complicated?? bc i'm sooo picky about the music i'm playing fitting the mood of the scenes i'm writing. lately, i'm really into making playlists with 6/7 songs that fit a certain vibe and just letting them play on repeat.

Also YES. My main goal with this fic is entertainment, because even Shakespeares tragedies are meant to be pure, genuine, enthusiastic entertainment. Like that’s what Shakespeare is FOR. That’s why he’s SURVIVED so long. He entertained the rich and the common!! For a short while everyone existed in this theatre together and understood something. That’s so fucking special to me!!

I’m so glad the story is living up to the hype I have so many things that are planned both for laughs and angst and it’s gonna be so fun

okay so i’ve already answered this but i said that it was red or pink so i’m gonna force myself to pick one right here right now…… and i think i’m actually gonna go with red?? which feels rogue to me bc like half the things i own are pink, i definitely own a lot more pink things than red things…. although actually. hm. i do also own lots of red things…. but i just bought today at the charity shop these pink linen trousers which i’m excited about for the summer bc i’ve never before owned like any pink bottoms whereas i’ve had these red trousers for years that i love…. anyway that was an irrelevant digression. i think right at this very moment my fave colour is red…. i’ve also been considering dyeing my hair red again… my life’s mission has been to find the perfect kinda cherry red dye and i think the way to go might be to have darker hair underneath it bc when i was blonde red dye was always literally just neon red so now i have my darker brown hair i think i might be able to achieve perfection bc the last time i did red like over the summer my hair was much lighter than this… another irrelevant digression i’m so sorry i’m just yapping now i’m in such a talkative mood aaaaaaaaaaaa the answer is red. i think. but i also love pink. but the answer is red.

“Oh, sweetheart,” she sighs, gazing down at her like Lily looks good enough to eat. “I’m gonna enjoy breaking you.” Lily gulps and ignores the urge to squirm, to fidget in her seat under Pandora’s heated gaze. “And how do you plan to do that?” she wonders, hating how shaky her voice comes out. “I guess you’ll have to wait and see.” Pandora sounds casual, calm, like they’re simply discussing the weather and not the fact that Lily is about to be tortured for days, maybe even weeks.  It should make her feel scared, or at the very least upset, but there’s none of that in the way Lily takes a deep breath, heart stuttering in her chest.  “Is it gonna hurt?” she asks, small and anxious, as she rolls her lower lip between her teeth.  “More than you can even imagine,” Pandora whispers, like it’s a secret. A confession meant for Lily’s ears only. She’s smiling before she realises it, the corners of her mouth curling upward a bit unsteadily. “Good.”
