me gusta porque lo boludeo y en vez de seguirme el descanso acepta, no se resiste. eso en mi mente se traduce en seguridad. por eso me pudo desde que me tiró el primer palo. igual yo le doy más crédito del que se merece. estoy aburrida. entonces me tengo que entretener de alguna manera.

le cuento a emi y me dice " dios a quién te estás cogiendo, a un consumidor de notiblog?" tuve que googlear notiblog, según él la ESI de todo hombre +35 de argentina, según tini WATPAD para heteros. ambos supieron al instante a qué me refería cuando pregunté "si te digo los patys, de qué estoy hablando?" yo lo aprendí a los 31 años. pero bueno yo pensé que era un sinónimo de bifes.

Lovely 1908 Craftsman home in Los Angeles, California. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a mint green Craftsman. The home has 2bd  3ba & is listed for $1.275M.

There’s a spacious living room with the typical bookshelves and windows flanking the fireplace. They have painted the fireplace a lively turquoise and white. Look at the ceiling. Isn’t that beautiful? 

Look at the columns- they’re not the usual Craftsman style b/c of the gold Greek style caps. I wonder if those are original. I wish they didn’t paint the beams the same color as the ceiling.

On this wall is large built-in, but I wonder why that recessed arch is there. I’m thinking that they built-in may have been added. 

The kitchen is very plain, has minimal cabinetry and a sort of industrial vibe.

This room off the kitchen may have been a pantry, but it’s been turned into a wood working shop.

There is also a door to the back yard and a laundry room.

Bedrooms and baths are off this red hallway.

The main bd. is large, and has a faux cement look. I don’t know why they would removed the closet doors. 

The updated bath has a modern clawfoot tub.

The 2nd bd. is nice.

And, it has a cool matching bath.

The 3rd bd. is being used as a home office.

Nice big pati in the back, plus a 1 car garage.

There’s also a nice lawn and gardens.

Side entrance to the home.

I think that this is a vintage planter.

The property is also gated.

Tenía pendiente escribir aquí sobre estas flores, pero hemos estado moviéndonos por el mundo literalmente que no había tenido cabeza para hacer espacio. Y ahora, esperando un taxi y en la fila del baño del aeropuerto de Milán (que por cierto y por supuesto también huele feo igual que en Lisboa), recordé que un día te pedí que luego, estando lejos buscaras una florería en Google maps que estuviera cerca del lugar donde yo viviría en Australia y me enviaras flores.

Me emocioné muchísimo cuando vi que esa mujer, creo que Turca porque traía esa cosa que usan las mujeres turcas en la cabeza, se acercó a la puerta y llevaba un ramo enorme de girasoles junto con una cajita de chocolates y una nota que decía Te amo mi Sierreñita. Igual y te molestas tantito pero prometí honestidad jajaja, la verdad algunos de los chocolates los terminé por compartir con los roomies de esa casa porque ya sabes que el chocolate luego me empalaga y no me los terminé. 🥹

Gracias por ese detalle mi amor, fue importante para mi que si lo hicieras, y gracias también por el café y el pan que me enviaste antes.

Honestly the best part about living in a bilingual area is being able to mix and match the words from each language when it's funny

A lot of non-normative Valencian speakers (normally older people, as learning/using it was illegal before the 80s) sprinkle spanish words in their valencian, and honestly that and the opposite case are quite charming

My favorite example is that in my friend group when you say/have something very suddenly/conveniently/randomly you say "me lo he sacado de la butxaca", ("I took it out of my pocket"), but the whole sentence is in spanish except butxaca, which is valencian for pocket, because bolsillo, the word in spanish, is all soft noises, (the ll is a y sound) so you use the valencian word because the tx sound (ch sound) is stronger, so it gives more impact to the sentence, like "sí, me lo he sacado de la butxaca"

Honestly a lot of people here don't speak Valencian but they still don't realize how much of their life is in that language, so they diminish it, but they'll say esmorzar instead of almuerzo, or patio for recess whereas that's because pati is used in valencian/catalan, while most spanish-speaking regions say recreo

Il preside del liceo Maurice Ravel ha lasciato l'istituto per ragioni legate alla sua incolumità. Tutto è iniziato il 28 febbraio scorso, quando aveva chiesto a tre studentesse di rispettare la laicità della scuola francese

Temeva di fare la fine di Samuel Paty, il professore di Storia e Geografia decapitato da un jihadista ceceno per aver insegnato la laicità ai suoi studenti, o di Dominique Bernard, docente di Francese assassinato da uno studente radicalizzato all’entrata dell’istituto Gambetta-Carnot di Arras per gli stessi motivi. Il preside del liceo Maurice Ravel, situato nel Ventesimo arrondissement di Parigi, ha deciso di dimettersi per “motivi di sicurezza”, dopo le minacce di morte di cui è oggetto da un mese. Tutto è iniziato il 28 febbraio, quando il preside, vedendo tre studentesse che indossavano il velo all’interno del perimetro scolastico, ha ricordato loro che è vietato per legge esibire simboli religiosi nelle scuole pubbliche.  

Due hanno subito tolto il velo, la terza, invece, ha fatto finta di non sentire. Il dirigente scolastico, stando al racconto fatto all’Afp dai servizi del ministero dell’Istruzione, si sarebbe avvicinato indispettito e avrebbe trascinato “verso l’uscita della scuola” l’allieva, che avrebbe “opposto resistenza”. Dinanzi all’aumento delle tensioni, il dirigente avrebbe lasciato perdere, fino all’intervento della polizia. Ma da quel momento, la situazione è degenerata. Sui social ha iniziato a spargersi la voce di un litigio tra un preside e una studentessa musulmana. Quest’ultima, oltre a sporgere denuncia per “violenze” (denuncia in seguito archiviata per mancanza di prove), ha riferito alla stampa di essere stata “spinta” e “colpita con forza sul braccio”, versione smentita da Valérie Baglin-Le Goff, direttrice del provveditorato di Parigi. La studentessa ha poi deciso di rincarare la dose contro il dirigente scolastico testimoniando sulla pagina Facebook del Collectif contre l’islamophobie en Europe, associazione sulfurea che nel dicembre 2020 era stata dissolta per propaganda islamista dal ministro dell’Interno francese Gérald Darmanin sotto il nome di Collectif contre l’islamophobie en France. Risultato? Contro il preside del liceo parigino sono piovute le minacce di morte, secondo un meccanismo simile a quello che ha portato alla tragedia di Samuel Paty. Un ventiseienne originario del dipartimento degli Hauts-de-Seine è stato arrestato e sarà processato a Parigi il 23 aprile per minacce di morte sui social. Un altro uomo, arrestato a metà marzo a Trouville-sur-mer (Calvados), è stato posto in stato di fermo per lo stesso motivo, ma è già stato rilasciato.  

“Sono veramente triste, è una storia grave che ha portato alle dimissioni del preside quando invece doveva accadere l’esatto contrario”, ha dichiarato in forma anonima a France Info un insegnante del liceo Maurice Ravel. Tranne dalla France insoumise, il partito della sinistra radicale noto per intrattenere legami ambigui con un certo islam politico, tutta la classe politica francese ha manifestato solidarietà al professore, sottolineando la gravità di quanto accaduto. “È un fallimento collettivo”, ha commentato il capogruppo dei deputati socialisti Boris Vallaud. “Ecco dove ci portano le piccole pusillanimità e le grandi rinunce”, ha aggiunto Bruno Retailleau, patron dei senatori gollisti. Ieri pomeriggio, il preside dimissionario è stato ricevuto a Matignon dal primo ministro Gabriel Attal. Ex ministro dell’Istruzione, Attal, durante il suo primo discorso da premier il 9 gennaio, aveva affermato che la scuola “è la madre di tutte le battaglie”. Il caso del preside del liceo Ravel mostra che la lotta all’islamismo, in questa battaglia, deve essere prioritaria.
