#35: Lost Sinner (Dark Souls 2)

“The Lost Sinner eternally punishes herself for the sins of her past.”

The Lost Sinner has a fun vibe. I mean, not fun for her, but fun conceptually. Descending to the very bottom of a great prison to find her there, still in shackles but ready to fuck you right the hell up, is badass (although I do question the decision to just let her have a sword in her prison cell). ADP shenanigans aside, the Sinner's moveset looks good and feels weighty in a way that's pleasant to fight against. Her intro and her design do a great job communicating her status and role in the universe, and the darkness of the otherwise bland arena makes the fight even more intimidating. I honestly never bother with lighting up the arena just because of how cool it feels to fight her in the dark. She doesn't bring much innovation to the formula, but she's refined and enjoyable enough to be the highest ranked DS2 Old One. Good job, girlie!
