Emmerdale has revealed that a villainous character will lose their life next week, which will kick off a big whodunit story for the Dingle family.

The soap has confirmed that rapist Craig Reed, who recently assaulted Lydia Dingle, will be found dead in the episode airing on Monday, October 30, and that the Dingles will subsequently take centre stage at a lock-in at The Woolpack.

In a week filled with 'betrayal and secrets', suspicious Lydia will gather her family in the pub to question each of them about their whereabouts on the night of Craig's death.

Viewers will then see a series of flashbacks which weave a tangled web of events leading up to Craig's death. As the layers of deception are peeled away, the truth will eventually be revealed to the audience, with the only certainty being that nothing is quite as it seems...

In next Monday's episode, Billy Fletcher will be horrified to discover Craig's bloodied and lifeless body in the fields at Home Farm.

Later on, Lydia gathers her family at The Woolpack and announces to the shocked clan that Craig is dead. As the Dingles begin to question what happened to Craig, Lydia is certain that one of them is responsible for killing him.

Already in possession of the knowledge that her husband Sam and Cain had Craig tied up in a remote barn before his death, Lydia's investigation begins with them. In a series of flashbacks, viewers will discover what happened at the barn.

After listening to Sam and Cain, the focus shifts to Belle. Belle recounts her day with boyfriend Tom King, who, after a romantic meal, proposed to Belle. But Belle isn't giving a true account of her day – what exactly is she hiding?

Lydia then moves onto questioning recent returnee Aaron, who fights back when the Dingles push him for his alibi.

Aaron shifts the focus onto an uneasy Charity, who, along with Chas, flashes back to events from the previous day. However, conversation soon turns to another matter as Charity isn't being honest...

Soon, it's Caleb and Nate's turn to offer their account of the day – what exactly is Caleb hiding?

Next, Mandy and Marlon are thrust into the spotlight. Emotional Mandy is hiding a secret, but what is she keeping from her family?

As Marlon talks through his own day, we flashback again. However, Marlon chooses to miss out a big piece of information from his account...

With everyone's alibi seemingly established, Lydia remains troubled as she wonders whether someone is being deceitful.

Unable to cope with his wife's distress, a guilt-ridden Sam reveals that there is more to his version of events than previously disclosed, and we finally find out what really happened to Craig that night.

Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has teased the "unmissable special week" for the popular family.

"Expertly and innovatively directed by Gary Williams, the infamous Woolpack becomes centre stage for the group of Dingles gathered to reveal their alibis… or no alibi as the case may be!" she said.

"Stepping out of the usual Emmerdale style, a series of flashbacks will let the viewers in on the lies each person has told and the secrets they are hiding.

"The week will truly keep everyone on the edge of their seats with each day more and more explosive secrets revealed that promise to have huge repercussions, shatter lives and cause fireworks in the Dingles bigger than ever seen before."

Aaron Gets Arrested.

Mackron fanfic.

"What's wrong Mack you're in a dream" asked Aaron as Mack was on edge wondering how he was going to tell Aaron about Meena.

"Nothing" Mack replied.

"Dont lie Mack you're all on edge" said Aaron "And you were tossing and turning all night. Out with it"

Mack took a deep breath and told Aaron about Meena.

"Right get your coat on" said Aaron as the nannies arrived to look after the kiddies. "We're going out"

"Where?" asked Mack.

"You'll see when we get there" Aaron replied.

"Aaron this is the food bank" said Mack as they arrived in Hotton.

"Yes and we're going in" said Aaron opening the car door for Mackenzie.

Aaron went into the village hall dragging Mack behind him.

"Darling you came" said Meena jumping up and down when she saw Mackenzie. "I knew you wouldn't let me down. You can go now Aaron"

"Like fuck I will" yelled Aaron upending the table of home made cakes and chutneys that Meena was giving out.

"Aaron everyone looking at us" said Mack.

"Well in that case I'll give them more to look at" said Aaron who flew round the upended table and grabbed Meena by the throat. "Leave my husband alone you mad bitch"

"Aaron stop" Mack yelled as the prison guard rang the police.

"I knew it was a bad idea asking criminals to help out" said the manager of the food bank as the police arrived and arrested Aaron. Aaron was taken down the police station leaving Mack to do the apologies and to clean up the mess.

"Thank you so much for coming" grinned Meena at Mack who was in a panic.

"I've never had so much fun in ages. And when Aaron grabbed me round the throat. Wow!" said Meena "Ecstasy! Such a pity you would never do that to me however much I begged you my beautiful boy"

"Shut it Jutla" said the prison guard who ushered Meena out in handcuffs.

"Oh come on" said Meena to the prison guard "You're jealous!"

An embarrassed Mack made his way to the police station to pick Aaron up.

"They've charged me with assault and criminal damage" said Aaron.

"That's a bit over the top isn't it?" said Mack.

"It is for smashing a few jars of chutney" said Aaron.

"I think the fact that you tried to strangle Meena is a more punishable offence" said Mack. "I felt completely humiliated"

"I'm sorry Mack" said Aaron.

"I hope this doesn't go against the adoption application" said Mack.

"What adoption application?" asked Aaron.

"You adopting the twins" said Mack.

"Mack I love you" said Aaron giving Mack a kiss. "That would mean the world to me"

"What if you go to prison?" Mack asked anxiously "You tried to strangle her"

"I'll leave the country rather than go to prison again" said Aaron.

The two men arrived back at the Woolpack.

"I need a stiff whisky" said Mack helping himself behind the bar.

"That's more than a stiff drink" said Marlon "It's nearly half a bottle"

"I need it after the day we've had" said Mack.

"And what did that entail. May I ask?" said Marlon.

"Aaron trying to strangle the village psycho" said Mack.

"He never" said Gail "Did he manage to finish her off?"

"Who?" asked Marlon.

"Well there's only one psycho round here" said Gail "Ruby"

"It wasn't Ruby you mad cow" said Aaron.

"Well who the hell was it?" said Marlon.

"I've just had a text from the duty solicitor at Hotton Nick" said Aaron.

"And?" asked Mack fearing the worst.

"That prison guard is going to make a statement saying Meena provoked me" said Aaron.

"Who's Meena?" Gail asked. "Was she before my time?"

"She killed half the village" said Marlon "And that dope there was going to marry her" he said pointing to Mackenzie.

"Never!" said Gail "I missed out on all the good bits then. Imagine sleeping with a psycho"

"Are you for real?" asked Aaron "Any more of your stupid remarks and I might strangle you. Haven't you got a shit hole to scrub?"

"Why does everyone think I'm here to clean the bogs?" said Gail. "I'm a bar maid come trainee chef"

"Since when?" asked Marlon "Over my dead body"

"Can you please stop talking about dead bodies" said Mack "I need another stiff drink now"

Mark Charnock’s doing fuckin’ great job with Marlon’s new storyline. It’ll be unfairness if he doesn’t get award(s) from it. Same with Amelia Flanagan and Zoë Henry, their parts as loved ones of someone who has had stroke, has been terrific. Especially Amelia, she has always been splendid child actor.

I do hope that everything will become better for all of them (plus to Leo) and they can be happy little family. Like, it would be fuckin’ time to let Marlon to be happy more than a minute. Let him and Rhona be the next long-lasting couple. There can be drama without break-ups and cheatings, y’know.

Aaron Loses His Temper With Dire Consequences.

Mackron fanfic.

Aaron stood propping up the bar at the Woolpack.

"Isn't it about time you sorted that husband of yours out?" said Cain. "He was in the cafe yesterday with Isla and the twins and Claudette had to help him to feed the twins. He was really struggling"

"What's it got to do with you?" snarled Aaron.

"I was just making an observation coz you're in a state the way you're knocking back the booze" said Cain.

"Well observe this" yelled Aaron taking a swing at Cain sending him sprawling across the pub and hitting his head on a table.

"Cain" yelled Charity "What the hell got into you Aaron you've knocked him out"

"You need to call an ambulance Chas" said Caleb who was bending over Cain. He's got a nasty head wound and he's out for the count"

Cain was taken to hospital on blue lights and taken straight into resuss.

"Where is he?" Moira asked Caleb as she arrived at the hospital..

"He was taken into resuss but he's on life support now" said Caleb just as a doctor arrived to speak to Moira.

Th doctor explained that Cain had a brain injury and his condition was life threatening.

"Aaron what got into you?" Moira asked Aaron who was pacing up and down. "If Cain dies you're looking at a prison sentence for murder"

"Moira I'm sorry" Aaron blurted out.

"Just get out of my sight" said Moira "I can't bear to look at you"

"You'd best go Aaron" said Caleb "I'll stay with Moira"

Aaron made his way back to the pub where Gail was mopping up the blood.

"What the hell were you thinking" Chas shouted at Aaron "What is wrong with you"

"He was criticising me and I saw red" Aaron replied.

"Just coz you've had another domestic with Mackenzie doesn't give you the right to take it out on innocent people" said Chas.

"I said I'm sorry" said Aaron.

"Well sorry won't cut it if he dies Aaron" said Chas. "You'd better sleep at your flat again tonight as I don't trust you near your daughter"

"Where is Isla?" asked Aaron.

"Mack dropped her off yesterday as he couldn't cope with Isla and the twins" said Chas.

"You know I'd never hurt Isla" said Aaron "She means the world to me"

"Yes and I'm protecting her from her mum and you" said Chas "In fact Mack and the twins are moving in with me tonight as he's struggling"

"Oh so you've got a cosy little set up with my husband" Aaron said sarcastically "Just don't tell me when you get pregnant then" he said as Chas slapped her sons face.

"How dare you" Chas yelled at her son.

"Chas is right Aaron" said Marlon "Those little girls should be yours and Macks priority"

"Like Ivy you mean is your main priority" Aaron said angrily "You and Rhona have taken her away from Gus"

"It's nothing like our situation Aaron" said Marlon.

"Ignore him" said Chas as Aaron pushed his way behind the bar and took a bottle of vodka and left. "I'll put in for custody of Isla if those two idiots can't sort themselves out" she told Marlon.

"You've really bonded with that little girl haven't you Chas" said Marlon.

"I have" said Chas tearfully.

"And I've bonded with Ivy" said Marlon giving Chas a hug.
