Emmerdale has revealed that a villainous character will lose their life next week, which will kick off a big whodunit story for the Dingle family.
The soap has confirmed that rapist Craig Reed, who recently assaulted Lydia Dingle, will be found dead in the episode airing on Monday, October 30, and that the Dingles will subsequently take centre stage at a lock-in at The Woolpack.
In a week filled with 'betrayal and secrets', suspicious Lydia will gather her family in the pub to question each of them about their whereabouts on the night of Craig's death.
Viewers will then see a series of flashbacks which weave a tangled web of events leading up to Craig's death. As the layers of deception are peeled away, the truth will eventually be revealed to the audience, with the only certainty being that nothing is quite as it seems...
In next Monday's episode, Billy Fletcher will be horrified to discover Craig's bloodied and lifeless body in the fields at Home Farm.
Later on, Lydia gathers her family at The Woolpack and announces to the shocked clan that Craig is dead. As the Dingles begin to question what happened to Craig, Lydia is certain that one of them is responsible for killing him.
Already in possession of the knowledge that her husband Sam and Cain had Craig tied up in a remote barn before his death, Lydia's investigation begins with them. In a series of flashbacks, viewers will discover what happened at the barn.
After listening to Sam and Cain, the focus shifts to Belle. Belle recounts her day with boyfriend Tom King, who, after a romantic meal, proposed to Belle. But Belle isn't giving a true account of her day – what exactly is she hiding?
Lydia then moves onto questioning recent returnee Aaron, who fights back when the Dingles push him for his alibi.
Aaron shifts the focus onto an uneasy Charity, who, along with Chas, flashes back to events from the previous day. However, conversation soon turns to another matter as Charity isn't being honest...
Soon, it's Caleb and Nate's turn to offer their account of the day – what exactly is Caleb hiding?
Next, Mandy and Marlon are thrust into the spotlight. Emotional Mandy is hiding a secret, but what is she keeping from her family?
As Marlon talks through his own day, we flashback again. However, Marlon chooses to miss out a big piece of information from his account...
With everyone's alibi seemingly established, Lydia remains troubled as she wonders whether someone is being deceitful.
Unable to cope with his wife's distress, a guilt-ridden Sam reveals that there is more to his version of events than previously disclosed, and we finally find out what really happened to Craig that night.
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has teased the "unmissable special week" for the popular family.
"Expertly and innovatively directed by Gary Williams, the infamous Woolpack becomes centre stage for the group of Dingles gathered to reveal their alibis… or no alibi as the case may be!" she said.
"Stepping out of the usual Emmerdale style, a series of flashbacks will let the viewers in on the lies each person has told and the secrets they are hiding.
"The week will truly keep everyone on the edge of their seats with each day more and more explosive secrets revealed that promise to have huge repercussions, shatter lives and cause fireworks in the Dingles bigger than ever seen before."
Ugh. And yet again Belle ended up be the one who apologised (dammit that Belle didn't tell Mandy and Suzy why Tom didn't let her get in the car in the first place - maybe they could've told her to run) and was made the guilty one. Tom's so good at manipulating her. He got her to say she has to be the one who has to change.
I hope Belle'll soon understand how toxic and abusive Tom is and leaves him. That wouldn't mean they've to end the storyline there. Tom could first be begging her back, saying he'll change but after Belle would stay firm, he would start to stalk her and try to ruin her life every possible way.
There's abuse victim's that leave the toxic relationship and the abusive partner won't leave them alone. Many of them has ended up still killed but I hope that wont happen to Belle. If Tom'll kill Belle, Emmerdale can fuck off.
Why they're writing pretty much all Belle's boyfriends (well, Tom's now her husband) toxic lunatics? Wasn't Lachlan or Jamie enough? C'mon, let Belle find true love and be happy.
My Heart is breaking for Belle. That girl deserve the World. Also the episode was quite good. Love a dingle centered ep 🥰 and thé lettre from Lisa at the end had me crying. It was so Lisa, so nice, so beautiful, so encouraging. 🥰🥰🥰 She is still was of my fav character!
As a British person I’ve obviously been brought up on the soaps like Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Eastenders
So I’d like to ask the question as to why they can’t give Belle Dingle a break??
Like give her a normal relationship please 😭 her first boyfriend that I remember was an idiot, then she ended up with a grown married man when she was 17, then her next boyfriend became a murderer and kidnapped her and knocked her older brother out and finally her latest partner is becoming a dick too.
Aaron comes over to Wishing Well to see Vinny after hearing of his attack & is shocked by his injuries Mandy suspects Aaron could be responsible & accuses him. Vinny shoots down her theory. Aaron denying her claims insists he'd lay out the culprit if he knew who it was.
After Aaron had successfully batted away Mandy's suspicions, Aaron says he suspects Vinny interrupted a burglary and got bashed in the process as Belle rushes over and is equally shocked & horrified by the state of Vinny.
Mack was in his bar helping Belle and Tommy put the bunting up for the Coronation.
"I'll be glad when we can get some more staff Belle" said Mack. "You've worked so hard"
"Don't look now but Aasha's just walked in" said Belle.
"Mackenzie" Aasha said picking up some bunting he'd dropped on the floor.
"I've just come to give you my good news" Aasha beamed.
"I don't want to know" Mack replied.
"Well I'll tell you anyway" said Aasha. "I've been released without charge"
"How" asked Mack
"Not enough evidence" Aasha replied. "You're so lucky I didn't have any bruises when you were squeezing my throat otherwise you'd be going down for a very long time"
"But the phone call you made to Meena proved my innocence" Mack replied.
"Oh but like I told that lovely policeman Swirling how I was only telling Meena about my ordeal and my memory played tricks on me as I was so traumatised and didn't know what I was saying" said Aasha coyly.
"You liar" said Mack "I never touched you"
"But my psychiatric assessor said that the trauma could well have made me make no sense in the phone call" Aasha explained. "So it can't be used as evidence"
"You're evil" said Belle who could see Mack was getting stressed.
"Oh the mother of his next child speaks" said Aasha glaring at Belle. "Well five grand should cover it and then I'll leave you alone" said Aasha.
"She's winding you up Mackeeter" said Tommy "Ignore her"
"No. Get the takings out of the safe Belle. She can have that" said Mack.
"Are you mad Mack?" said "She's blackmailing you"
"Just give it to her" Mack replied "I just want her to go" he said handing Aasha the weeks takings.
"There's more than five grand there Mack" said Belle.
"My lucky day my beautiful Mackenzie" said Aasha as she left blowing him a kiss.
"I'm meeting Chloe in the pub so I'll see you later" said Mack putting his coat on. "I need to relax"
"Chloe can't come Mack" said Mary "The little one isn't well. You look stressed. Need to off load?"
"I'm just an absolute loser when it comes to women" said Mack. "Aasha's just conned me into giving her a load of money"
"Join the club" said Mary "The fragrant Faye conned me out of a few grand"
"So I heard" said Mack.
"I'll pay you your three grand back you gave to the non existent Charity" said Mary.
"No you won't Mary" said Mack "I'm just a walking idiot who can't resist a pretty face so keep it"
"Don't put yourself down Mack" said Mary.
"Meena, Kristy and now Aasha" said Mack "They all made a fool out of me"
"Nonsense" said Mary "We live and learn"
"Are you coming to the coronation party tomorrow?" Mack asked.
"Of course" said Mary "You've worked so hard. How could I not"
"You'll be very welcome" said Mack as Aasha walked in.
"Why Mackenzie finding solace in the arms of an older woman" she said plonking herself down next to Mack. "Bet she could show you a trick or two but have a baby for you? I'm not so sure. But I could oblige. I know how much you were gagging for me when that mad cousin of mine rushed in and spoiled it"
"How dare you" snapped Mary "You're nothing but a little hussy"
"Call me what you will but I've just clinched a deal with the Hotton Courier to write a piece about our afternoon of passion and how you nearly choked me in a sex game" laughed Aasha.
"I'll sue you" said Mack.
"Well ten grand should stop my sensual lips from talking" said Aasha.
"By God" said Mary "And I thought Faye was Wicked. But you take the biscuit you little madam. Just be on your way"
"Haven't you heard. I'm moving in with Charity" said Aasha. "She takes all the waifs and strays in. Especially the pregnant ones"
"But your not pregnant" said Mack.
"Well not yet daddy Mack. But We'll soon have a little squealer when you finally give into me" Aasha replied.
"She's bloody mad" said Mary "Stay away from her Mack"
"She sounds just like Meena" said Mack. "She's scaring the hell out of me"
I hope it's Suzy who first realizes that Tom's abusing Belle. Maybe she tells it to Belle but Belle doesn't listen because she hasn't realized it herself yet. And even tho she has, maybe she wouldn't be ready to admit it to herself or anyone else.
