Jackie has her moments of doubt regarding her decision, but the strength and love of her family keep her safe. Little Jax grows like a weed, always the first out the door to greet Isaac after he returns from work. Too soon those days are gone and their youngest becomes a child. It leaves both Miranda and Isaac nostalgic for years past, but they’re proud of their children and of the life they’ve built together.

Though they’ve done this many times before, Isaac always gets so frightened to see Miranda in so much pain. But it’s over as quickly as it starts, and they welcome their fifth and final child to the world, Jax Sigworth. Isaac is a little sad to realize this will be their last, but the joy outweighs the sadness.

For all their good days together, there are a few that bring more tears than smiles. Among them is the day Oliver gets very tired and decides it’s time to rest. He knows the house will likely fall to rack and ruin in his absence, but he’s done all his little paws could manage and he’s looking forward to his next adventure. The family is devastated, but they know remembering the good times is the best way to honor all of his hard work, even if those memories are hard to reach right now.

No matter how busy their days have been, the family always gathers to share dinner and talk about their day. Jett helps out with his siblings and makes them each a knitted cap to keep them warm! Oliver spends a lot of time sleeping in the sunshine now that he’s old and frail, but no matter the chaos, Miranda always makes time to pet and cuddle him. Sometimes it seems like she and Isaac meet each other coming and going, but after the kids are asleep, they make up for lost time ;)
