I love your art sm!! Can I ask what brushes you use?
hai ! thank you! and also thank you for asking. I kinda hop between several programs, so grouped these brushes in regards to the rendering style :)
Tumblr media
CLIP STUDIO PAINT: I usually stick to the default lighter and rough pencil .. but lately i have been using the Kasuy brush pack, which is only available for clip.. supah fun textures, loove it!
Tumblr media
DRAWPILE: kinda unconventional but i looove the way the brushes feel in drawpile.. I even made a pseudo-dupe in CSP . but i enjoy the crunchy, compressed textured.... also working in a limited program .. helps me get into a flooww state.. nothing is ever too serious... lool
Tumblr media
MSPAINT: pretty simple but all my binary brush looking work is done in mspaint, using the single or 3 px pencil. also the marker brush ! same as drawpile.. sometimes drawing in a simpler program really gets u outta the confines of expectation ... a lot of my favourite pieces came from doodling here :)

Hihi I searched ur blog to see if anyone’s asked anything similar and didn’t find anything but!!! I love your Shapey style. Do you have artists that inspire you? And do you have any recommendations on how to draw more loosely and shapey? Ty 💕💕
yeas, mainly kficc, owainigo, sanctus-ingenium, kanotynes and momopatchi.. theyre all here on tumblr but some post on other social media too
as for putting more shapes on ur art id say to try and force urself to approach lines differently, a normal exercise would be to draw in a continuous line (not lifting the pen from the surface youre drawing on), it makes you more conscious on how much pressure you use PLUS youre not allowed to overthink stuff (extra points if you dont erase anything) PLUS it makes your art gain movement.. potentially (also drawing w/o erasing in general is very very useful too, and dont be afraid of making rough or messy strokes or ILL FIND YOU!!!)
anyways thats just one exercise i do from time to time, youd also like to pay more attention on line weight (theres a billion tutorials on it and i sucks at explaining..), and well.. observe stuff. which shapes are the main ones that make the Thing look the way it Does, simplify, exaggerate, have funsies🎉

Seeing your art always makes me happy
Idk if someone already asked this, but how did you develop your style? What was your inspiration?
Have a good day :)
ty!
Aaaa imitation. Taking aspects that I like and testing them with my own… it’s allll about developing muscle memory. I copy a lot of poses to practice too wwww
Some artists - I’ve been following a lot of eskbl (twt, iniro) colouring tutorials lately. I also love itousa and momopatchi (love their digisketchbooks)

Do you think some slime creatures would look like this? Have a Minos Prime loook to them lol
Are you asking in relation to slimes being veiny, having a slightly transparent appearance or having streak-like patterns? Because all of those can happen.
In creating this narrative, I have given myself an abusive amount of liberty -Which basically ensures that I'll never be able to create something truly cohesive, but I've come to terms with that- Meaning, with enough mix and mashing of species, slimes like that can definitely exist and be somewhat justified!
In fact, slimes are among some of the species that probably exhibit more physical diversity out of the lot of monsters out there.

5, 6 and 11 for the artists asks please!!
5. Anything you haven’t drawn yet but want to?
ok, i know i answered this already but i thought of something else! i really want to draw like GENUINE horror and stuff, just have to work up the nerve. also maybe off game fanart or pizza tower fanart (pixelly styles... so hard to emulate but so fun to look at...)
6. Which artists inspire you right now?
this is a tough question XD honestly every artist i follow are ones that inspire me, so i guess i can name a few! uhm, sporesgalaxy, pcktknife, momopatchi, luchsyy, panstarry, lemonlimestar, peanutdoodler, everyone i met on artfight tbh, djsadbean, elena-illustration, charseraph, uhm. sorry i cant think of anymore at the moment but i guess you could call me something of an art enjoyer ahaha. ha.
11. Favorite comment you’ve ever received on your work?
this is another toughie because i love every single comment... i guess favorite genre of comment is the ones where folks are baffled by my wordgirl art... or the ones where people have no idea whats going on but still reblog my art because they like it... honestly i think that its really cool that there are people out there that will like your art regardless of whether its fanart or they know it or not becuase they like YOUR art... theres a loveliness to that

Hey! I love your work & I would like to know if you could share a bit about your career & give any advice you may have.
Recently I got into my dream art school, which is thousands of miles away from me, I'm experimenting with having multiple online income streams to help me pay for everything. I'm interested in seeing how this may look for different people in hopes of gaining some new perspectives & ideas.
So, do you make most of your income from social media? If so, what does that look like for you? And how do you balance school, work, and a social life?
Excuse me if those are intrusive questions, I completely understand not wanting to share that kind of information. But either way, thank you, I truly love your art so much! Have a good day!!!
Thank you for asking! I was on a similar track a few years ago when I enrolled. My personal relationship between monetization and art is strenuous at best and I usually relegate it to a passive form of income. all the art I have sold have been physical goods , which were only reformatted to be prints. and weren't really drawn with the intention for being sold. I've never opened a comms sheet but do concessional ko-fi's , kind of low commitment/intensity things. so passively selling prints.stickers etc through 3rd party is most of my income ,since being a full-time animation student hasn't allowed for a lot of part time work. I also occassionally stream and post sketchbooks, comics and zine's on itch.io , which have been the most fulfilling to me. There is no mandatory paywall or anything and everything I share is donation based... That's the super tricky part about the work life balance for me. School mandates a lot of personal sacrifice, your going to be making a lot things , not necessarily on your own terms. So separating the monetization from the art making process itself has been the most sustainable thing for me in terms of burnout / time management . lool that was kinda long winded and little all over the place. But i am someone that prioritizes creative agency, but please do what ever works for you and allows you to live comfortably! :) ganbatte <3

i love your art and designs!!! may i ask where you get your inspiration from? your designs are really creative so i would just like to ask :D
Uhhh many things!
If we talking artists specifically, Rinotuna absolutely ✨ their ability to design characters out of photos is top notch (I want to be as cool as them some dayyy)
Another artist I rly like deffo gotta be MAEPOP I learnt how hair works from him and the way he designs clothes are SO CUTE!! some artstyle choices I got from herrr
I like to study artists i like and their process, Im currently looking into momopatchi’s art I’m obsessed with the way they render and their range in drawing different faces body types and everything even down to environmental concept art I’m in loveee. 100% recommend checking out their sketch zine - it’s free and eye-opening (much inspirational✨)
