I watched Sh/e-R/a and I really enjoyed it a lot! I hope there’s more to come! And that it leads to a MotU reboot in the same universe
But I will say this... Unpopular tho it might be... (Spoilers under the cut, you’ve been warned)
I really do not think Cat/ra/do/ra is a good ship, alright? I had a moment where it was like ‘awh cool they were so close maybe they can overcome the rift between them’ but the series went on and just. Ca/tra did some pretty awful things and was very remorseful about it. And tbh I think Ad/ora is just as bad for her, too, watching them as kids I just had this horrible feeling of like
I grew up with abusive parents and siblings who those parents treated like they could do no wrong and decided I was the one that should have to answer for every mistake so I understand Ca/t/ra’s resentment. And yet at the same time I also have been the one trying actively to be better and get out of that and felt super betrayed by someone I loved who decided I was the bad guy so I also sympathize with a/dor/a?
My point is I really do believe there were deep and real feelings there. And I usually enjoy foe-ya but this is a case where I just believe they were both more a source of toxicity for each other than the healing and growth love should have, and that’s when “letting go” really is the right thing to do.
And if Ad/o/r/a’s gonna date any girl it should be Glim/mer but you know, that’s just my opinion.
